Apple iPhone 4S world phone

WoW 4 inch iphone 5!Unfortunately no!

It's not an iPhone mini or anything, but it's the first iPhone with Siri. And that has to count for something, right? Right? While it's no iPhone 5 (not even close, really), the iPhone 4S is far from being "last year's iPhone," and the greatly enhanced camera, bolstered A5 dual-core processor and inbuilt voice command should provide plenty of reason for folks to upgrade if they're near the end of their contract. Furthermore, having the option on Sprint -- despite Apple almost announcing it as an afterthought -- is bound to make folks already entrenched on the Now Network think twice about what their next phone will come upgrade time.

We were able to spend a few quality moments with the refreshed iPhone 4 here at Apple's campus, the Sprint flavor no less, and as you might expect... it's an iPhone 4. But S-ier. Much in the same way that the 3GS improved the overall experience of the 3G, the 4S does likewise compared to the existing 4. The dual-core A5 chip is a laudatory improvement, and whisking about pages, loading the camera application and launching -- well, just about everything -- just feels zippier. As it should. The other major change, the antennas, weren't readily different at a glance, but as Mr. Cook stated, you'd have to be iFixit to notice (and we're sure they will).

The most impressive part was the demo of Siri, the new assistant that lets you do just about anything you can do on your phone -- but with your voice. We tried to psych it out with a bunch of random requests, including the history of Chester, Vermont (a lovely town) and the best Ramen places in San Francisco. Siri never faltered, never missed a beat. It worked as well as Scott's demo up on the stage. There's nothing better to say than that. We even sent ourselves a few text messages, which Siri transcribed to a T. Of course, the lady on the other end still sounds eerily robotic, but we're hoping for smoother responses from the alien within in a future update.

The 8 megapixel sensor doesn't look any different from the outside, but we're trusting that Apple's re-engineered the interior. We snapped a few photos in the demo room to test and not a one came out as great as the retina-bursting contrasty pictures of balloons and flowers we saw in the demo, but then again, we didn't have any balloons or flowers to capture.

Amazon Kindle touch

Jeff Bezos just revealed the Kindle Touch here in New York City, noting that this guy's using an IR touch system, similar to the latest Nook and Kobo, and there's no keyboard (physical, anyway) to speak of. It's slimmer, smaller and lighter than the existing Kindle, with a muted silver chassis that looks almost nothing like the Kindles of today. The entire user interface has been re-thought out, with "taps" being used in place of buttons.
A 3G-enabled model ($149) will also be available, with the duo up for pre-order later today and shipments going out on November 11th.

Another leak of the most anticipated phone. This Beats Audio-branded handset's just received the quick and dirty hands-on treatment (or so it appears) on YouTube. Facebook Timeline

At its annual F8 conference,Facebook today announced a revamped profile called the Timeline. The new Timeline takes the place of your profile and provides a realtime stream of everything you’ve done, all the way back to your ‘birth’.

“This is the heart of the Facebook experience, completely rethought from the ground up. We’re calling it ‘Timeline,” said Zuckerberg, “Timeline is the story of your life: all your stories, all your apps and a new way to express who you are.”

The timeline is a realtime stream that shows you all of the events, images and posts that are important to you, while hiding the items that it feels are not important. A sort of ‘automatic autobiography’.

The Timeline lays out everything that you’ve shared from apps and maps to photos and status messages. There is also a large, wide new header that allows you to show off an image that you choose as a welcome mat of sorts for visitors to your profile. Your avatar is also still present.

Zuckerberg also says that you have complete control over what is on the Timeline, where it displays and who can see it. There is a heavy emphasis on privacy with this new version of the profile.

If you missed an important event in your Timeline, you can go back and insert it at the appropriate point.

Many of the new apps that work with Timeline are available today, but Timeline itself won’t be rolling out for a few weeks.

HTC Sensation XE hands on

We got a quick hands on of the New HTC Sensation XE and here is our first impression.

The XE is very similar to the original HTC Sensation in terms of hardware, except there's a 300MHz clock-speed bump to 1.5GHz, a slightly larger 1750mAh battery and also a packaged 16GB (instead of 8GB) microSD card.And the main USP is the Dr.Dre audio.

The idea is that the Sensation XE will recognize Dre-approved headphones and give you the option of enabling a Beats sound profile tailored to those 'phones, which is meant to deliver the music "just like the artist intended." The device has tailored profiles for the packaged YourBeats as well as Beats Solos -- just in case you happened to own a pair of those over-ears. If you plug in some other set from the Beats range, the phone will only activate a generic Beats profile -- although HTC tells us that more model-specific profiles will be coming at some point in the future. Whichever sound profile gets loaded up, it doesn't change in response to what type of music you're listening too -- it'll just apply the same profile to every song, to lift those (primarily bass) frequencies that Dre thinks ought to be lifted.

So, gimmick or no gimmick? The question still haunts us despite the fact that we've now tried out Beats on the XE with a range of different tracks and even though we generally enjoyed the whole experience. But let's start with the negatives: To our ears, enabling Beats primarily boosted all-round volume. Our cynical minds suggest that this is quite deliberate: if only the bass was lifted, then everyone would dismiss the Beats profile is just an over-hyped equivalent of the Super Bass button on your old-school Aiwa personal stereo.

And the good news is that the headphones which come bundled are of great quality.If HTC's pricing allows you to buy these phones with the XE at a hefty discount, and if you can get on with the red styling, then this might be a smart purchase after all.

There were several windows phones announced which will be launched with windows mango update and there were many video previews and reviews of the Mango.But the real problem was that people didn't have the official launch date of the update. According to Microsoft's official Windows Phone Blog, we need only wait another week or two before the update begins rolling out. The Windows Team indicates it won't be pushed to your phone OTA when the time comes, so you'll want to ensure you have the right software (Zune for PC, Windows Phone 7 Connector for Mac) installed on your computer before this all goes down. Now, a word of caution: we'd be completely taken by surprise if every phone received the update on the same day -- after all, the NoDo rollout spanned several weeks before it was delivered everywhere -- so it's best if you exercise a degree of patience if your particular handset isn't ready the very first day, just in case.

Well what we see here Samsung copying LG?This surely will be fun to have gadget. We'll let you be the judge, but from the looks of this latest leak, Samsung's SHV-E120L could be sharing some of the LG LU6200's special spec sauce. According to the report the device has a dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 4.7-inch 1280 x 720 HD display, 2 megapixel front-facing / 8 megapixel rear camera, 1GB RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, WiFi, Bluetooth and NFC. We've seen conflicting reports as to the exact version of Gingerbread that'll ship on the phone, with Android 2.3.5 in the running. As for the handset's radios, its purported MDM9600 Gobi chipset indicates tri-mode LTE, HSPA and CDMA compatibility. Sammy's super-sized smartphone could hit South Korea later this month, or in early October.
Could this be the Nexus prime?
Only time will tell.

After a long delay Apple has finally come up with the new iPhone

Sources familiar with the situation are telling All Things D that Tuesday, October 4 is the day Apple plans to hold its next media event.

These sources specifically said that the company had chosen October 4 for the launch of the iPhone 5.

To be noted that the WSJ-owned blog previously reported Apple would hold a press event in October, not in September as originally rumored.

Sources close to the blog also said that although Apple will be unveiling its fifth-generation iPhone at the event, it will not be available physically for another few weeks following the announcement.

This falls in line well with the company’s modus operandi. Previous Apple events stand as testimony that Cupertino always ensures a product launch goes as smooth as possible.

If anything, putting a time gap between the launch and the actual, public release of the device can only help build up even more hype.

Up until now, product launching was Steve Jobs’ thing. Not anymore since August 24, when the iconic Apple chief resigned from his CEO position.

With the iPhone 5 almost confirmed now, the spotlight is on Tim Cook.

Literally, since the man will take center-stage for his first significant product launch.

Some have actually voiced concerns that Tim Cook’s true value as CEO will only truly reveal itself when the man will be faced with having to launch a new product for the company. That time has come.

However, just like Jobs, Tim Cook will be aided by his fellow executives in showcasing every important feature of the new iPhone.

So expect everything to go smooth on October 4 (if the event date is eventually confirmed), as usual.

Discontinued HP Touchpad white and HP Pre3

We got a quick hands on video of the discontinued HP Touchpad white and the HP Pre3 for the at&t.The owner of the Pre 3 did activate it for us, but that's as far as we were able to go. While still heavier and thicker than the competition, the white TouchPad -- a 64GB model with the faster 1.5GHz CPU -- is significantly more attractive than its black sibling, and less of a fingerprint magnet to boot.
AT&T's TouchPad 4G -- with 32GB of storage and the same 1.5GHz processor -- features a working SIM slot for the carrier's faux-G network (HSPA+), but is otherwise cosmetically identical to the existing WiFi version. The Pre 3 is the same phone we handledduring HP's announcement last February, save for the AT&T logo on the back.

HTC today announced android smartphone for Verizon targeted towards Lady costumers.Yes you have heard it right this baby is for the ladies.

The specifications include 1 ghz single core processor(boo) in the age where we already have 1.4 ghz dual core processors and soon will also have quad core processors.Moving forward it has 3.7 inch WVGA display and other average stuff in it.

The design of this phone is similar to HTC Flyer and other newer phones from HTC.
The device comes with 4GB of internal storage on board and 8gb micro sd card.In terms of build quality, this feels like a typical HTC product.

Speaking of those home screens, this runs HTC's Sense UI on top of Gingerbread, though what you might not have anticipated is that this is the next generation of the software. We have to say, we're digging the redesigned clock widget. HTC says it's more modern, but we just got the immediate impression that it's less obtrusive. You'll also find the home screens peppered with customizable icons with preview panes that update with new photos and the like.

There is a new accessory called Charm indicator,it plugs into the headphone jack and flashes when you have a call.The cable's roughly two and a half feet long, topped off with that flashing geometric bit -- a design that makes it look not unlike an antennae. The catch, of course, is that you can't have headphones plugged in, which stinks for anyone who uses her phone as a music player. One interesting tidbit: we're told that the light will keep flashing for five minutes, even after the phone stops ringing. Assuming your friends get impatient, then, and only wait a few rings, this is more of a clumsy, secondary notification light than anything else.

Installation is simple.
1.You will need to download iFile from Cydia first.
2.Then download your OS X Lion Ultimatum version (HD or SD). After it has downloaded, view it in iFile.
3. Then tap on the file and choose the installer. After it is installed, use iFile and navigate to /DreamBoard and tap on the blue arrow next to the OS X Lion folder. Scroll down and set the Ownership to mobile, mobile. This will allow all the changes you make to the theme to save. -If you get an error installing the .deb, make sure you delete any previous OS X Lion folders in DreamBoard. It cannot overwrite them, it just gives an error.
4. You will need to download the following tweaks/apps from Cydia in order to make all the features work: Respring, QuickLock2, and CrazyDashboard You may also need one or more of the following tweaks depending on how you decide to set up your status bar. To make life easier I suggest installing all of them before applying the theme and using SBSettings to turn off the ones you don't need when prompted by the installer:

After you install the theme in DreamBoard, open WinterBoard and select the corresponding theme for your status bar choice.
