eTVnet changed the protocol slightly which broke most of the screens in the plugin. This is a "patch" release that addresses that protocol change.

New features:
Ability to add and remove items from Favorites (Избранное). Navigate to individual show to see the options.

Fixes:
1) Majority of "Page Not Found 404" errors have been fixed. etvNet has changed the API somewhat and is not sending reliable links anymore. I've fixed most places, but it is still possible to get 404 errors from Favorites/Избранное
2) Anything that has to do with Today/Сегодня option has been fixed. Navigation underneath Today/Сегодня used to not work very well.
3) Main menu bar that displays top-level options like Favorites(Избранное)/Today(Сегодня)/Archive(Архив)/etc is now scroll-able. Folks who could not see "Search/Поиск" or "Radio/Радио" options can now get to them by scrolling.

eTVnet for MCE v2.0.1.0 is out

New version is out with a fix for an important bug that was introduced after previous v2.0.0.0 was released.

After XML feed was changed, showing programs that had multiple levels of hierarchy (like KVN) no longer worked.

This update fixes this particular issue only.

Building out my company, Paraleap Technologies, is taking most of my time right now and it is a little hard to dedicate a lot of time to the plugin. Going forward, I plan on making bug-fixes for the plugin, but not at the very rapid pace as initially when I started.

Finally, version with support for latest API (programming interface for plugins) is out for eTVnet. To match the version of the API, this set of releases is the v2.x

Support for access to full archive as well as ability to watch movies in 1200kbit rate.

In this version 2 new features:

1) Sort of "Favorite" section by Date Shown, descending order
2) Attempt at remembering how much of a show was watched and display that percentage on the listing screens. (There are limitations)

Limitations of feature #2:
The completeness flag is "wired" to particular computer. That means that if you watch a show on one computer, it will not show as completed on another computer.
"Completed" status from the website always takes precedence over plugin's own derived status.
"Completed" status resets itself if the show has been started to be watched again.

Vanilla feature list due to poor API, but you can now search and browse channels and obviously watch shows. Resume works. Otherwise, a whole bunch of features are missing still :(

Just received the first draft of the new XML API from eTVnet team. This is great news. Unfortunately, the API is nowhere near as robust as it was before and will require me to redo a significant amount of code.

I've emailed eTVnet team asking for more features from the API (ie: ability to browse the movies from Today only, or by categories, and most importantly ability to access Favorites section)

Tonight, I will start on coding the new plugin (refactoring existing one will be just as much work frankly) to account for the API.

Spoke to the stressed out people at eTVnet. No XML interface yet for the new site, but they promised to work on one and keep me in the loop. They still seem to be in crisis mode, so I wouldn't expect the interface to be their very top priority. But judging by the fact how quickly my phone call was returned (I called support who took my number promising a callback in 24hrs and than I got the call back from their higher-up in about 5 minutes) - I would say that they care for the interface and general plugin support.

The only other tidbit I picked up, is that they were forced off the old servers, which would explain the HORRIBLE and RUSHED move to the new servers.

Looks like eTV has rolled out a new website this morning which broke the plugin as the special XML interface that I used seems to no longer be there. It also seems that the rollout did not go smoothly (their site kept going up and down) and still seems unstable.
This is a classic example as to how NOT to roll out new website. Aside from classic mistake of not keeping the old site up and running while piloting new site, they also were not able to enable things like Favorites, Forums, etc. prior to release. What was the rush?
Anyway, hoping that in a few days things will settle and they'll be bring up their forums, address concerns regarding the apparent lack of XML API, and Favorite & Personlii sections

To be more precise, its not fixed, it's just no longer giving you an error message. Looks like Vista, however, is having issues with me checking if the video needs to be resumed. Too bad, this feature is pretty cool and will likely not work in Vista.
Yet another reason to upgrade to 7 :)
