Haven’t we all had friends like this? Despite the warnings of your real friends, you think they’re the best most exciting people and in the end they strap to you a rocket and laugh as you fly off into the ionosphere.

Yeah, me neither.

I’m working on a commissioned set of paintings for a nursery that includes some giraffes. So I was in sort of a giraffey mood when thinking about today’s comic. Being, as all men of course, piloted by a tiny 12-year-old inside my head, I immediately concluded that a giraffe could tea-bag a standing bear without so much as bending his knees.

Mom must be so proud.

And that’s a wrap! No! It’s a burrito!

Josh Jones’s awesome-tastic webcomic, Floodmud, is featuring bears in the current story arc. I’m usually all for bears in comics, as you might have heard, but Josh implies in today’s comic that bears eat people. My friends, I want to assure you that that simply never happens.

Also, it’s comic number 69, dude!

Damn those burritos.

But really, can you blame PB? he and Griz have been stuck in this place for weeks without a crumb to eat. I’d be thinking about burritos too.

In fact, I’m thinking about burritos right now.

We’re finally back!

It was a long and boring trip to get here. This week we’ll finish out this poorly planned (but hopefully funny) story arc so we can get back to fart jokes.

Black and white comics for a bit, folks. I was hoping to get a bunch done before we went on vacation, but, well you know how that goes. Best laid plans and all.

Also, trying a new font in today’s strip. It’s called, get this, Comic Book. I know. Amazing.

Writing the bad guy’s monologue was my favorite part of today’s strip. Too bad it’s covered by word balloons. Oh, but if there were a way to see behind them!
