Yep, double vision can definitely be a symptom of IIH.

With regard to the heartburn, I used to get really bad heartburn when I first started taking Diamox and my GP prescribed me Omeprazole.  Worth speaking to Victoria's GP to get something to help with that as if she's throwing up then she won't be getting the full benefit of the Diamox.  Also, is she on the standard Diamox or the sustained/modified release version as they tend to be much easier to tolerate.

She may respond well being as young as she is as kids are more receptive and not as cynical as us oldies.

Feeling a lot better about everything in general was v. low over the weekend. Knowing that there will be no more LP's and hopefully diamox and not a long wait has helped and I've decided that that the shunt will work perfectly or else i'll need to call on St Jude.

Even better peace and quiet Peter (6) is still at his grans and the husband is upstairs "exercising" methinks he's listening to my ipod on my new ipod dock.  laughing

My daughter Lana-Mae has panic and anxiety attacks and she is not on any meds. They can come out of the blue but usually happen when she is stressed or confused (due to short term memory probs). Again Dr's say its her IIH and all the trauma she has been through, they started shortly before she was diagnosed and have got steadily worse.

She has been referred for counselling to help her understand them and maybe control them but seeing as she is 6 I doubt it will have a huge impact.
