Dear Readers,

Whether you’re a writer, a painter, a photographer, a sculptor or any kind of artist, you hope against hope that one day you’ll be able to make a living off your art.  Until that day comes, you practice; you take on side work; you get really enthusiastic about passion projects; you work a day job.  Unfortunately, there aren’t enough hours in the day to do all of those things.  And so, artists need to make choices.  You know where this is going, don’t you?

Effective today, iL-Logic is closing its doors.  This decision makes us sad, because we felt that iL-Logic was just starting to take off.  But mixed in with the sadness is happiness, because another opportunity has presented itself to our artist. Paul has been offered a paying art gig by a movie production company. He agonised over the decision, reluctant to leave the webcomic at this stage. But, at the end of the day, he had a choice between continuing with a passion project or a chance to make money from his artwork.  The realities of his financial position dictated his choice.  Paul wishes he had more hours in the week; unfortunately, that’s not how the world works.

iL-Logic was born and died five years ago.  On March 1st, 2010 it was brought back to life via a collaboration between Adam and Paul.  It has once again died.  But it’s come back before, and so who knows if we’ve seen the last of Edan, Wid’L and the rest of the gang.

To you, the readers who have given us your feedback, support and appreciation, we thank you.  This ride would not have been nearly as fun if we hadn’t been able to share it with you.  Hopefully, you’ll continue to follow us both in our future projects, and you’ll drop us a line to let us know what you’re up to so that we can support you the way you’ve supported us.

The iL-Logic site will remain online indefinitely for anyone who happens to stumble upon it.  We’re proud of the work we’ve done, and we happily continue to share it.

Once again, thank you for joining us on the ride.  Hopefully, our paths will cross again.

And that bring Chapter 2 to a close!

Some of our readers asked us to provide an easier way to navigate between the published strips.  It was always our intention to add an archive page, but we didn’t know just how big the archive should be before we added it.  It would appear our readers decided for us.  Thanks, guys.

The artist has forbade the writer from using sarcasm today. It’s a little known fact that neither Brits nor Canucks can communicate without sarcasm. There’s really not much more to say, is there?

Where do you think it would be nicer to live right now: Greece or Iceland?

The creative team would like to apologize for the second consecutive Monday with a late posted comic (still on the right day, though!).  This one, however, was unavoidable due to an Act of God. While we at iL-Logic are a non-denominational webcomic, we believe that the events that transpired could only have been the work of Loki the trickster God, and as such, we have adopted Norse religion. Don’t be surprised if Edan starts screaming, “For Asgard!” and Wid’L starts carrying a large hammer soon.

On a more pleasant note, the artist would like to send a special shout out to Phong Do Khoi, whose tips for lettering the comic sped up the process considerably, and hopefully led to prettier speech bubbles.

So, on Monday, I promised we’d fix the formatting of the comic, and explain why we switched formats.  In the end, I took a look at the finished product and decided that I really didn’t need to fix anything…  not bad, huh? Best way of getting stuff done is to not do them.

As for the reason why we changed formats?  Well, I took the executive decision to not tell you guys that, either.  I know I promised, but I lied. I’m the mean one.

The writer has been slacking and in Miami, enjoying incredible weather, partying, but not too much sleep.  As such, apologies for the late posting of the comic.

Also, we’ve seen some new formatting for the comic, and it’s not working out so well with our current site design, and we’re looking to correct that by the next strip.  Also, we’ll talk on Thursday about why we went with the redesigned strip format.
