<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><b>Hugo Cabret</b> è una fiaba che racconta gli albori del cinema e in particolare la figura di quel genio, e precursore degli effetti speciali, di <b>George Méliès</b>.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><b>Scorsese</b>, nonostante una parte del film sia basata su eventi reali (<b>Méliès</b> veramente finì a vendere giocattoli alla stazione e veramente venne riscoperto da un giornalista), costruisce quasi in toto un mondo fantastico, fuori dalla realtà, un vero e proprio microcosmo patinato - vi sono inserti anche steampunk - dove far vivere l'avventura e la scoperta del piccolo <i>Hugo</i>. La macchina da presa di muove sinuosa, attraverso piani sequenza e soggettive vertiginose (e sembra quasi che <b>Martin</b> voglia dirci che se ci fossero state le possibilità, anche <b>Méliès</b> avrebbe usato tutti quegli stratagemmi per stupire il pubblico). Ma, benché mi sia impossibile affermare che il film sia brutto o non riuscito, devo ammettere che l'ho trovato poco appassionante e un po' troppo pedante e stantio nella prima parte, nella quale si indugia fin troppo sul patetismo. Più interessante invece la seconda parte che, con l'avvento del tema cinematografico, ha dato una svegliata alla mia attenzione. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Con <b>L'arrivo di Wang</b> i <b>Manetti</b>, oltre a continuare nella loro opera di militanza cinematografica indipendente e appassionata al genere, esplorano anche il <a href="http://frank-manila.blogspot.com/search/label/CGI">CGI</a> (in parole povere gli effetti speciali fatti al computer, ormai abusatissimi all'estero ma quasi del tutto assenti nel panorama italiano).</span></div>

<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><b>L'arrivo di Wang</b> quindi segna un tassello importante nel cinema nostrano che, nonostante l'estremo e consueto ritardo, finalmente arriva ad usufruire di una tecnica ormai entrata nel quotidiano del cinema di mezzo mondo.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Un'idea semplice ed economica, attori principali bravi (<b><a href="http://frank-manila.blogspot.com/search/label/Fantastichini">Ennio Fantastichini</a></b> e <b>Francesca Cuttica</b>), una buona dose di tensione, un CGI di buona fattura e che non scade nel ridicolo (ci tengo a ricordare che una prestazione del genere è praticamente un miracolo qui in Italia) con in più tanta voglia di creare e di dimostrare che un altro cinema qui da noi è possibile. La pellicola dei <b>Manetti</b> però non si limita solamente all'esperimento o ad una concezione prettamente ludica - che comunque resta importante - ma vuole anche indagare su una tematica come quella del pregiudizio e delle sue innumerevoli sfaccettature, donando all'operazione uno spessore. Ovviamente i difetti derivati da un budget risicato non mancano, ma vi assicuro che non inficiano molto il piacere della visione.</span></div>

Ogni singolo dettaglio è curato alla perfezione, mentre le imperfezioni sono quel qualcosa in più che danno alla pellicola lo status di cult. Sì, perché per me <b>True Lies</b> è un cult. È inutile che continui a dirvi quanto sia divertente e sexy il balletto di <b><a href="http://frank-manila.blogspot.com/search/label/Jamie%20Lee%20Curtis">Jamie Lee Curtis</a></b> o di quanto sia weird vedere <b><a href="http://frank-manila.blogspot.com/search/label/Arnold%20Schwarznegger">Schwarzenegger</a></b> ballare il tango. </span></div>

Tale matrice fa in modo che il film non sembri una semplice fiera di porcate e volgarità tirate fuori con lo stampino. </span><br />

Molto bella, suggestiva e intrigante la parte <i>herzohiana</i>, quella che vede l'uomo da solo nella natura selvaggia alla ricerca del <b>Tilacino</b> (che forse manco esiste più). Molto meno interessante, invece, la parte domestica e cittadina che, oltre ad essere poco intensa nei rapporti tra i personaggi, risulta anche poco credibile.</span></div>

Il film è la storia di due uomini (anche abbastanza stereotipate) opposti ma entrambi prigionieri della vita e che proprio grazie ai loro problemi riescono ad unirsi e instaurare un rapporto incredibile, genuino e sincero. </span></div>

Un horror dal sapore antico, ben confezionato, con tutti gli elementi ben calibrati e usati alla perfezione, che almeno in un paio di occasioni fa scattare qualche sussulto.</span></div>

Riutilizza ancora quegli escamotage che risultano ad oggi, nonostante gli ormai abusati effetti chirurgici/gore degli ultimi anni, funzionanti e funzionali. Il paesino sperduto, il popolo ritroso, morti misteriose e una vecchia storia che è meglio non rivangare. Poi case lugubri, un po' di nebbia, il vento, strane ombre, un attore bravo e credibile (<b>Daniel Radcliffe</b> mi ha proprio stupito), alcuni rumori sospetti <i>et voilà</i>, il gioco è fatto. </span></div>

Dico spontaneo perché la pellicola è esente da qualsiasi ricatto e/o mezzuccio spesso usato per portare il pubblico a commuoversi, ma anzi (e qua c'è l'altra grande impresa di Reiser) riesce addirittura ad essere divertente... ma non quel divertente cinico o imbarazzante, parlo del divertente sincero... non so se mi spiego.</span><br />

Si credono paladini, quando in realtà sono loro stessi dei cancri da estirpare. Temi forti e importanti per un film, e per questo credo si sia deciso di smorzare i toni con il grottesco (spesso spinto fino all'estremo).
La pellicola infatti non si risparmia in attacchi alla borghesia, all'assenza totale dei genitori o allo spaesamento dei ragazzi, che sembrano non essere assolutamente abilitati a vivere. Una scrittura molto interessante quella di <b>Waters</b> (lo sceneggiatore) che però, nonostante sia presente un acume di genio, non manca di un senso di stantio e di appesantimento. </span></div>

Non a caso infatti la moglie <b>Julie Andrews </b>interpreta nel film <i>Sally Miles</i>, ovvero la moglie del regista <i>Felix Farmer</i>. Ma non finisce qui, perché nella finzione cinematografica è stata <i>Sally Miles</i> a interpretare <b>Mary Poppins</b> (ruolo che è stato sempre della Andrews, però nella realtà). Ma non finisce qui, perché in entrambi i film - cioè S.O.B. e quello girato al suo interno - <u><b>Mary Poppins</b> mostra le tette</u>. </span></div>

La pellicola di <b>Bessai</b> si salva proprio grazie a questo piccolo spunto di originalità, alternandosi tra il thriller il dramma. Se una prima parte è sicuramente più accattivante con i tre che se ne fregano e fanno quello che gli pare (rapine, conti non saldati, piccole vendette fino a provare il suicidio), nella seconda parte</span><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"> </span><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">fa capolino</span><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"> la componente drammatica. Qui mentre il più schizzato dei tre decide di andare oltre e provare l'omicidio, lo stupro e un'accanimento distruttivo e maniacale verso i suoi stessi amici, gli altri due cercano in qualche modo la redenzione e si buttano nell'amore.</span></div>

Dove un bel dì dopo una bella tempesta e un accanimento del signorotto cittadino, tramite la sua rete televisiva, spariscono tutti gli immigrati. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Ovviamente in una società, come quella veneta, dove gli immigrati sono componente importante (anche se forse ancora non del tutto accettati), la loro sparizione crea non solo scompiglio ma una vera e propria catastrofe. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Ancora una volta dopo <b>Signore e Signori</b> di <b><a href="http://frank-manila.blogspot.com/search/label/Pietro%20Germi">Germi</a></b> a farne le spese è il popolo veneto, goliardicamente e forse ingenuamente mostrato prima razzista e poi nostalgico (per il solo fine economico?) quando gli immigrati spariscono. Certo che trattasi di un'opera di finzione e i giudizi non debbano assolutamente estendersi alla realtà totale delle cose, dove mi rifiuto di credere che l'intolleranza sia opera diffusa e praticata da tutto il popolo veneto.</span></div>

Interessanti i personaggi con <b><a href="http://frank-manila.blogspot.com/search/label/Diego%20Abatantuono">Abatantuono</a></b> nella parte del signorotto razzista ma innamorato della prostituta di colore, il poliziotto <a href="http://frank-manila.blogspot.com/search/label/Valerio%20Mastandrea"><b>Mastandrea</b></a> disilluso alle prese con la mamma senza badante e la ex che aspetta un figlio multietnico, e quest'ultima (<b>Valentina Lodovini</b>) che da portabandiera dell'integrazione al primo problema (cioè la scomparsa del compagno e padre del bimbo) torna tra le italiche braccia dell'ex.</span></div>

Ignoravo tutto e tutti, a parte il fatto che ci fossero le <b>Ferrari</b> e le <b>McLaren</b> e che a guidarne una ci fosse <b>Senna</b>.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">All'epoca (parlo del periodo tra il 1990 e 1994) era già leggenda, tant'è che mio zio cercò di convertirmi regalandomi il modellino della sua monoposto. Io più che altro seguivo <b>Senna</b> in modo passivo, le sue imprese arrivavano distrattamente attraverso la tv o da chi ne parlava. Ma ricordo nitidamente quel fatidico Gran Premio di San Marino del 1994 e l'incidente che gli tolse la vita. Non so perché, ma quel gran premio lo guardai.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Il documentario di <b>Kapadia</b> racconta, in stile molto tradizionalista (con interviste e immagini di repertorio), di <b>Senna</b>. Dell'uomo, del pilota ma soprattutto del mito. Del suo straordinario talento, della sua dedizione verso uno sport e del suo rapporto con il rivale <b>Prost</b>. Più volte, attraverso le parole dello stesso <b>Senna</b> viene messo in ballo Dio (alla fine di una gara affermò anche di averlo visto), e la sensazione che ci fosse un piano prestabilito, quasi divino, dell'ascesa e della caduta del pilota brasiliano è forte. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Sta di fatto che, sia a causa di un intervento divino o a causa di un più laico cedimento meccanico, quell'uscita di pista alla curva del Tamburello portò <b>Senna</b> nella schiera delle legende. </span></div>

Così che nessuno si perda ogni minimo passaggio e tutto sia chiaro e cristallino.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">A differenza del primo film Svedese la pellicola di <b>Fincher</b> l'ho apprezzata molto di più. Lo dico senza indugi e giri di parole. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Nonostante gli svolgimenti siano praticamente identici, ho accusato molto meno la visione seppure abbiano entrambi una lunghezza di oltre due ore. Merito della riuscita è data, oltre alla ormai ovvia capacità registica di <b>Fincher</b>, anche ad un montaggio coi fiocchi (i chirurghi sono<b> Kirk Baxter</b> e <b>Angus Wall</b>), ad una bella e accattivante fotografia di <b>Jeff Cronenweth</b> e alle ottime musiche di <b>Trent Reznor</b> e <b>Atticus Ross</b>. Azzeccata è stata anche la scelta dei due protagonisti, con <b><a href="http://frank-manila.blogspot.com/search/label/Daniel%20Craig">Daniel Craig </a></b>molto più credibile del collega <b><a href="http://www.google.com/url?q=http://frank-manila.blogspot.com/2012/01/abduction-john-singleton.html&sa=U&ei=26U8T7CRCouh-QaXsPy2BQ&ved=0CAQQFjAA&client=internal-uds-cse&usg=AFQjCNGjeSYWZ-aEhUqlg4xT8g_1FAGP6g">Michael Nyqvist</a></b> e <b>Rooney Mara</b> che non ci fa rimpiangere la già ottima <b>Noomi Rapace</b> (che mi era piaciuta nella parte di <i>Lisbeth</i>).</span></div>

Attraverso sbalzi temporali vediamo la nascita e la crescita di <i>Kevin</i>, sociopatico sin da piccolo, e il post dramma che una madre distrutta deve affrontare, tra sensi di colpa e una società che la denigra, ritenendola in qualche modo responsabile. E sulle responsabilità della madre ruota quasi tutto il perno della pellicola. </span></div>

Certo <i>Kevin</i> è un ragazzino difficile, voltafaccia (è bravo e affettuoso con il padre) con una personalità glaciale. La madre si sforza nel tentativo di volergli bene e forse l'errore - se così si può chiamare - è proprio qui, nel doversi sforzare.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Una pellicola che comunque non lascia indifferenti, ottimamente diretta (quasi tutto è in sottrazione con la <b>Ramsay</b> che il più delle volte lascia intuire piuttosto che mostrare) e ottimamente interpretata da: <b>Tilda Swinton</b>, che sembra monocorde e invece è una scelta voluta dal suo personaggio (non vi fate ingannare); <b><a href="http://frank-manila.blogspot.com/search/label/John%20C.%20Reilly">John C. Reilly</a></b>, bravo ma comunque in un ruolo un po' in disparte; e i tre inquietanti <i>Kevin</i> interpretati da <b>Ezra Miller</b>, <b>Jasper Newell</b> e <b>Rock Duer</b>.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Tutti grandi film, senza dubbio, ma <b>Toy Soldiers</b> era il mio preferito. Aveva - e ho scoperto che ce l'ha ancora - un forte ascendente su di me, che mi portò a consumare letteralmente la VHS. Con la morte della VHS finirono i sogni di essere rapito dai narcotrafficanti colombiani. Fu un duro colpo realizzare che a loro del figlio del fornaio, dell'operaio o dell'impiegato al comune non fregava una beneamata mazza.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">La pellicola diretta da <b>Skjoldbjærg</b> ha un'impronta semi documentaristica (è girato quasi tutto con camera a spalla) ed è una ricostruzione analitica e chirurgica degli eventi. Come già visto nel francese <b><a href="http://frank-manila.blogspot.com/2012/01/lassaut-julien-leclercq.html">L'Assaut</a></b> (i due film sono praticamente contemporanei e strutturalmente simili) anche qui si è optato per una narrazione asciutta e asettica. Non vi è nessun racconto collaterale, non vi è un vero e proprio protagonista e c'è come una sensazione di distacco o se preferite di freddezza. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Tralasciando la struttura e la tecnica del film, la cosa che mi ha più colpito è un fattore socio/antropologico. Mi ha dato una sensazione straniante notare i comportamenti paradossali delle forze dell'ordine, dei rapinatori o dei passanti capitati per caso nel bel mezzo della rapina. Per farmi capire, pensate a quello straniamento o quel senso di incredulità che si può provare vedendo un film ambientato in una realtà molto distante e molto più violenta dalla nostra, come ad esempio può essere quella della favelas brasiliane di <b>Tropa de Elite</b>. Lo si guarda pensando che sia "roba da non crederci". Ora provate a trasferire queste sensazioni nel contesto di un paese iper-civilizzato come può essere la Norvegia. Un paese dove una polizia non abituata si ritrova spaesata, dove i passanti non fanno tanto caso alla sparatoria (tanto da passarci in mezzo) e i rapinatori hanno un piano un po' all'acqua di rose. La "roba da non crederci" è dato dalla condotta assurda (e nella mia visione, al limite del grottesco) di tutte le pedine messe in campo. E giuro che mi son chiesto a più riprese "Ma non avete mai visto un film sulle rapine?"</span></div>

<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Non solo perché è totalmente <i>cool</i>, ma perché il regista tutto fare del cinema (qui <b>Rodriguez</b> occupa quasi tutte le figurazioni tecniche) è riuscito ad elaborare un modo per propinare al grande pubblico le stesse boiate che per anni i detrattori hanno appellato come "cinema di bassissima lega", o altre espressioni simili. Il texano ci riesce mettendo in risalto proprio gli errori e i limiti di quei film che omaggia/rifà. E' fuori discussione che <b>Rodriguez</b> sia forse uno dei pochi capaci di rendere tale operazione una figata pazzesca (ha dimostrato chiaramente con <b><a href="http://frank-manila.blogspot.com/search/label/Machete">Machete</a></b> che <b>Planet Terror</b> non è stata una botta di fortuna), ma c'è da prendere atto che ci sta prendendo per il culo e che noi fan (sono un fedele seguace) non solo siamo ben felici ma ne vogliamo sempre di più... di prese per il culo!</span></div>

<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Per parlare invece prettamente di <b>Planet Terror</b> - ricordo però che sono indegnamente e orgogliosamente di parte - condenso dicendo che: <b>1)</b> vi è dentro tutto il meglio che si può avere da 10 film (reali e spesso noiosi) di serie z che omaggia, e <b>2)</b> che (ripetendo quanto già avevo detto per <b>Machete</b>) si tratta per lo più di un bignami del cinema exploitation.</span></div>

Poco importa quindi se ad un certo punto il film perda di credibilità esagerando un tantinello, tanto superata la linea di confine lo spettatore, che ha ormai capito dove si andrà a parare, si mette placidamente l'anima in pace.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Ottima la scelta del cast, molto affiatato, simpatico e volenteroso di fare un buon lavoro. Vi sono: <b>Ben Stiller</b>, ancora una volta contenuto e ben lontano dalle demenzialità che l'hanno reso famoso; un ritrovato <b><a href="http://frank-manila.blogspot.com/search/label/Eddie%20Murphy">Eddie Murphy</a></b>, che ha finalmente abbandonato la voragine dei family-movie, tutti uguali, nel quale era caduto; quella simpatica canaglia di <b><a href="http://frank-manila.blogspot.com/search/label/Matthew%20Broderick">Matthew Broderick</a></b>, la cui scomparsa dal mainstream resta per me ancora un mistero; e i bravi <b><a href="http://frank-manila.blogspot.com/search/label/Casey%20Affleck">Casey Affleck</a></b>, <b>Alan Alda</b>, <b>Téa Leoni</b>, <a href="http://frank-manila.blogspot.com/search/label/30%20Minutes%20or%20Less"><b>Michael Peña</b> </a>e <b>Gabourey Sidibe</b>.</span></div>

Il primo è che si tratta di un film destinato ad una fruizione televisiva, il secondo è che in Italia anche i film per il cinema hanno le stesse finalità. E quindi cosa cambia? </span></div>

<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Assolutamente nulla, se non che questo <b>Un Natale per due</b> ha una valenza più nobile perché non ha insozzato le sale cinematografiche e non ha ingannato il pubblico, che al cinema si aspetta un film degno di essere proiettato su grande schermo. A conclusione di questo preambolo aggiungo che, </span><b><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Un</span><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"> </span></b><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><b>Natale per due</b>, per quanto scontato, banale, telefonato e appena appena divertente, come prodotto televisivo è onesto e giusto.</span></div>

È pur sempre della tv italiana che stiamo parlando (non <b>BBC</b> o<b> HBO</b>) e siccome non mi resta che puntare su altri valori - quindi non spero di veder cambiare il cinema o televisione in Italia - io punto sull'<u>onestà</u> (cosa rarissima anche questa!). </span></div>

<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Pur partendo da uno spunto abbastanza intrigante - quello del "ti ammazzo lo stupratore di tua moglie se tu dopo fai qualcosa per me" - nella seconda parte cerca di inventarsi una serie di situazioni tra l'imbarazzante e l'assurdo nell'invano tentativo di raggiungere l'iperbole narrativa. </span></div>

Tutto sommato il film è ben fatto e la sua struttura è affine al classico cinema indipendente USA o meglio dire <i>alla Sundance</i> (insomma il film è cugino stretto di <b>Little Miss Sunshine</b> e compagnia bella).</span></div>

<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">La continua ricerca del buffo, del tenero o dello straniante potrebbe essere ostico e portare insoddisfazione nella visione se questo non viene accettato. </span><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Merito della sua riuscita, e quindi dell'accettazione di questi mezzi di facile emotività, sono in gran parte da attribuire agli attori e all'insolito paesaggio hawaiano (nella concezione di città e non di mera meta turistisca). </span><br />
