Villarreal, Velázquez: "Necesitamos más tranquilidad"

2012-10-19T23:51:00.002+02:00

BOLOGNA, Diamanti: "Leaving in January? I am not even thinking about it"

2012-10-18T22:25:00.001+02:00

Interviewed by Men Magazine, Bologna attacking midfielder Alessandro Diamanti has declared: "Even if in January I would receive an offer from a major club I wouldn't accept it. By playing with Bologna I got the chance to play at Euro 2012, I am very happy to have remained and I want to keep on playing here to help my team".

JUVENTUS, Marotta: "Just lies about Buffon"

2012-10-18T22:23:00.002+02:00

Interviewed by Rai Sport, Juventus General Manager Giuseppe Marotta has declared about the fact that Gianluigi Buffon has not played last night for the Italian national team against Denmark: "This is really too much. This is the country of the conspiracy theories. There is nothing to say about Buffon. He is the captain of Juventus and of the Italian national team. All the speculations are unjustified. For every player wearing the blue jersey is the top. He doesn't stop in front of the first problem. If he didn't play it's because he thought he wasn't ready for this game".

AC MILAN, Pato ready for the debut

2012-10-18T22:22:00.002+02:00

The international break is a chance for many clubs to fine tune their tactics, get players up to peak physical condition and work on getting injured players out of the infirmary and back onto the pitch.

Massimiliano Allegri and his squad have been working hard to make up for the disappointment of losing the derby against Inter in the hope of recommencing the league in the best possible physical and psychological shape.

The most promising news for the Milan coach over the last ten days comes from Alexandre Pato who is finally ready to play a competetive match. The Brazilian has failed to feature so far this season after picking up an injury in a pre-season training session but has slowly been recovering and has been training with the squad all week.

Now the Brazilian is fully fit once again and ready to contribute. It is a huge boost for the team who have found goals a little hard to come by so far this season. Pato's return comes just in time as the season goes into overdrive with Serie A and the Champions League in full flow and even the Italian Cup starting next month.

The 23-year-old should be available for selection for the match against Lazio at the Olimpico in Rome on saturday evening. It is a destination that has brought him goals in the past when he netted the opener in Milan's 3-0 victory over Lazio in 2009 and then scored the winner the following season.

It has been a torrid two years for Pato with chronic injury problems hampering his progress but both player and club will be hoping that this is the end of his troubles for good. With only one goal in eleven Serie A appearances last season, the young striker is desperate to rediscover his form of old and add to his 51 goals in the top flight.

Rome and Lazio seems like the perfect place to get his career back on track and get Milan climbing up the table fast.

INTER, Alvarez: "Ready to get stuck in again"

2012-10-18T22:21:00.002+02:00

Ricardo Alvarez is back, ready to take to the pitch again and help the Inter cause as soon as possible. "We're about to start again and then it will be non-stop until Christmas," the midfielder told Inter Channel. "We all have to be ready to do our bit because with all the games we have coming up you never know who will play and who will be rested. We have to be constantly on our toes because your chance can come at any time."

The first obstacle is Catania, a side Inter need to be careful of. Alvarez continued: "They're in good form but we're high on confidence and we've started to click as a team. We have to keep it up, we can't relax. It's a long season and we have to be prepared to play every game as we have done until now. Personally I feel good. You're waiting to see me again? Me too."

JUVENTUS, Quagliarella fired up for Napoli clash

2012-10-18T22:20:00.005+02:00

Fabio Quagliarella is relishing this weekend’s visit of former club Napoli to Juventus Stadium. The 29-year-old enjoyed a successful season with his hometown team before moving to Juventus in 2010. But any affection for the Partenopei will go out of the window when both early front-runners vie for Serie A supremacy on Saturday night. Speaking to Sky and Mediaset, the striker commented: “It will be a great game, but not decisive, given that the championship has just begun. “Napoli are growing exponentially and can compete for the Scudetto. They’ve already shown this by narrowly missing out on the Champions League quarter-finals last year. “We know that we’ll come up against a team who can cause danger and give us difficulty at any time during the game. This is why we’ll need to pay attention all the way through until the end.” Fabio, whose goals saw him become a popular figure in Naples during the 2009/10 campaign, believes both fans and players will be eyeing revenge for August’s Super Cup final defeat. “Napoli fans deserve to see a team fighting for the Scudetto. Knowing what the environment is like over there, they’ll be fired up for the encounter. “Tension is all part of the build-up and it’s always there for important matches. But once you take to the field you’re purely focused on the game itself.” The striker’s recent goalscoring form has placed him firmly back in contention for a starting role in Saturday’s top of the table showdown. And he insists that he is ready to make his contribution to the cause. “I’ve felt good in this recent period and the goals against Chelsea and Chievo have given me a boost. We’ll see, I’m always available.”

AC MILAN, Nocerino: "We deserve respect"

2012-10-18T22:15:00.002+02:00

While involved with the "Non Fare Autogol" programme, the midfielder of Ac Milan, Antonio Nocerino also spoke about the rossoneri's season so far. "To get back to where we belong we need a few good results on the spin. We are going to try and win a lot of games by March and then see what happens. To rule us out already is disrespectful. We are not a 7th or 8th placed team, Milan is Milan and others should realise that".

NAPOLI, Insigne's agent: "Not only PSG after him"

2012-10-18T22:14:00.001+02:00

Interviewed by Radio Crc, Antonio Ottaiano, agent of Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne has declared: "PSG after ny client? Today Lorenzo is considerend one of the best Italian young talents, and I think that it's obvious that all the major European clubs are thinking about him. Contacts with the French club? It's not the moment to talk about it, as he has a long-term contract with Napoli. I repeat, the interest of the major European clubs is obvious, but this doesn't mean that they will sign him. At the moment it doesn't matter if PSG have called or not".
