Home is workplace for some. A non-stop, ever going activity makes people go in for virtual offices as net has changed the nature of work. Some earn $$ more and some earn less but the addict stays for many net freaks.

A teacher at Google Groups asked for ways to adopt Blogger tools in classroom and raised her concerns on How students can blog safe. Writing journals in books is fine but posting Daily notes online can be stress for kids and teachers too. Kids privacy and safety concerns are must. Social networking temptations are on rise and the stress is to the point of fatigue, frustrations if net activities aren't restricted.

Hence, I see the Blogging technology as online stress if we do not limit blogging hours. Too much is no good anyways and hence, proper planning of time, dedicated posts and restricted activities on the web is a way to go.

- ilaxi

He did not read any lessons or even Story Books! All was mugging up lessons plans and course revision papers. The mom believed that Story Books were waste of time, money and useless activity when her child could not even score marks. She thought, the only way was cramming and trying to memorize schools lessons to get those grades. How can stories help?

And the baffled parents and children - all need to be encouraged for reading. In fact, Reading is on the back seat. Nobody has time for reading, it seems. Many of the children can't communicate in English because nobody ever taught them to read. Books are the best friends and you're never lonely when you read. Schools do have the Libraries but no dedicated library periods, no story telling sessions in classroom and neither help to children with patience to make them read the stories. Unfortunately, many children speak in their own mother tongue but fail to speak, read and write properly in English.

Moreover, practice makes Perfect - It's all about doing Hard Work. It so happens, a child ends up being Literate but cannot read. The school learning and home practice is an essential skill required. However, I feel, Education without experience and exposure, is Incomplete!

Read more on this in my Book "Guardian of Angels" Guardian of Angels: A Practical Guide to Joyful Parenting

Keep the Faith,

- Ilaxi Patel

Begin Reading at the start and reading aloud is the easiest way to talk to your baby before they have any language of their own. It's never too late, Loud reading too does the tricks. Read, read and re-read. Familiarity is pleasure for the kid.

Saying or Writing thank-you notes is a habit, and habits are not formed out of the blue. In school, we are taught to say 'Please, sorry and Thank You' but mostly, children do not adhere to the rules of gratitude. The habit sometimes is influenced by teachers and parents who guide the children. However, many children come out with a unique card - they draw me with specks and say Thank You while some draw and color a card with wishes. Sometimes gifts are not remembered but thoughtfully spoken or written words of gratitude and courteous note makes a big difference.

I remember visiting my school Library (Mt. Carmel school) a year ago and met the Library Sister. Though I met her for the first time, she was so happy to see an ex student of the school running a Children's Library and she was proud of it and happily showed me the new arrival books. I can remember all time I spent there and thank my teachers for such wonderful books.

On the Thanksgiving, we always remember to say "Thanks' to the people who matter the most but in India, we have deep emotional bonds - We don't need to say 'Thanks' as it seems to be too artificial. However, thanks go with real actions that mean we are gratified.

Well, here's my Thanks to all my readers who pass this way - for reading me and my even visiting my Book page and my web www.kidsfreesouls.com, to amazon.com for vast ocean of knowledge and my Publisher 'Book Surge' who stand by us ever.
