We have not one, but TWO exciting covers to unveil.
The much anticipated wait for Time and Relative Dimensions in Truth is drawing nearer, but for now, we get an exciting cover revealing the amazing ensemble cast comprising of Robert Lloyd and Morgan Thomas-Connor as the Doctor and Scout respectively, along with Caitlin Yolland, Jacqueline Vukasinovic and Mark Robert Walters.
There are three stories, three truths and when an eminent scientist is murdered, everyone is under suspicion.
The story is written by Scott McAteer and will be released very soon.

The second story features the return of the Tom Denham Era, starring Tom Denham as the Doctor with Nari Riis as Luna and Elice Rebeccah as Penelope.
It also guest stars Edward Felix as Dr. Rufus Flanagan, a batty scientist living inside Big Ben. It's a serial that spans across three episodes and follows each character as they trace a an alien venom with deadly consequences as it makes it's way to Earth.
This release will soon follow a few months after the aforementioned episode.

Tonight we have the trailer for our upcoming three-part epic Martyrdom of the Saints by W.D. Stevens starring Robert Lloyd as the Doctor, Morgan Thomas-Connor as Scout and introducing Danielle Lauren as Ashley Haight, the new companion. In the guest cast we have a large number of people including Yirgjhilya Lawrie, Lore Burns, Adam Lofthouse, Arlen Chitty and Matthew Hocking.

We are just one week away from hearing the final instalment in Old Friends, the second season of adventures with Robert Lloyd's Doctor. This episode, called Darkness, My Old Friend is written in the style of first person narration. As such, our leading man has had to do an awful lot of the work playing not just the Doctor but his old companion, Jo, her grandson Malcolm and a nurse. And we all think he has done superbly. As a second voice, writer and director W.D. Stevens plays opposite as Director Berlinger.

All of us here at Illusionist Productions would like to congratulate our good friend, actor, writer and musician Lore Burns who was married yesterday. Staying true to form, the ceremony consisted of a Dalek battle, a search to find the rings, a fight with Sith and an appearance from Doc Brown. And then there was all the usual stuff.

Lore hasn't been with us for very long but she has become an integral part of the Illusionist Productions family and we wish her and her new husband, Martin, a long and happy life together.

Music From the Series: "Take Me Home"

Some of you may remember last week we took a trip to the Caribbean to ring in the 1992 New Year. Here we have a quote from writer, director, composer (and a lot of other things) W.D. Stevens about that particular story:

"To be honest, the story came about purely because I was studying the history of music in a subject at uni and we came to reggae and we'd done some in our ensembles and it was just so fun that I just wanted a reason to write a reggae song - not that you need a reason, really. But I thought 'let's set a story in the Caribbean'. Just to do something differently and an excuse to have a party. Since it was a New Years story I wanted to have a reggae version of Auld Lang Syne which I found by an artist called Dillinger. Then I wanted a well-known song to have covered and, since it was about the Doctor and his friends (plus being a huge Beatles fan myself) I chose With a Little Help From My Friends by Ellis Island. And that just left the middle song which I got to write which is called Take Me Home written and performed by yours truly. Modestly, of course."

Happy February, people!

We've been very busy over the past month recording and editing and doing all of the things and now, to show off what we've been up to we have covers! First up we have the first episode of a series starring Scott McAteer as the Doctor with Caitlin Yolland as his companion Cecelia in The Art of Immortality.

And after that, coming later this month we see Tom Denham returning as the Doctor with his companions Luna (Nari Riis) and Penelope (Elice Rebecca) in the anthology release The Great Gameshow. This release has some wonderful guest stars in Steve Carnell, Lore Burns and Hayman Kent.

But that's not all - we have the covers for the first three episodes of the next season of the Robert Lloyd adventures coming in March/April. The first, Terror of Fear is written by Mr Lloyd himself and guest stars Chris Broadstock as Luke Smith. Next up is The Illusionist guest starring the incredible Matthew Hadgraft. Merry Christmas to all!

We've been working on something new for you all. In true Doctor Who spirit, for Christmas we've taken an old tale and given it a Doctor Who spin. This time it's The Wizard of Oz quite unashamedly being taken for a ride in The Doctor of Oz (aka. The Wiz of Niz) Set between Tales of Mystery and Imagination and The Flesh Monger, this episode stars Robert Lloyd as the Doctor.

Caught in a whirlwind of time, the TARDIS crash lands on Nizland, a planet curated by a mysterious wizard. When the TARDIS disappears, the Doctor seeks out the wizard for help but finds many obstacles on his way.

In true Wizard of Oz fashion, we have a number of familiar faces. From The Perfidious Alchemist and The Temporal Terrorists we have Jill Damerow as Brenda; from those and Eclipse we have Matthew Hocking as Tim Masters; from Mind the Gap! we have William R. Stone as the Record Keeper, from Mind the Gap!, Deep Freeze and The Flesh Monger we have Jessica Hayden as Skye Croweville and from a multitude of episodes we have W.D. Stevens as the Mayor of Ackbourn. In addition to that, our cast also has some new faces in Irena Vecris as Helen, Alex Haller as Leon Russell and Terry Bollod as the Wizard.

It's been a while since The Tops Hill Trilogy but it's been nice to have a break. However, today's announcement is the first of our ranges outside of Doctor Who even though it is a spin-off. Hickory Banes (Ben Holt), who was first seen in Tales of Mystery and Imagination back in January alongside Robert Lloyd as the Doctor, is back having his own adventures! Hello to all,

We wrapped up the first season of our Doctor Who Main Range starring Tom Denham as the Doctor in July with Deep Freeze. His co-stars in this season were the wonderful Nari Riis as Luna and Elice Rebecca as Penelope who are both in Year 12 this year and are just about to embark on their final exams. All of us here at Illusionist Productions would like to wish them the very best of luck and we look forward to working with them both further next year.

It's a big weekend for a Melbournians with Armageddon, one of Australia's largest conventions is taking place with special guest Jenna Coleman. Hoping everyone has a good time! Hello once more,

It's nearing the end of September (where does the time go?) and we've got some exciting new stuff for you. In the coming weeks, we will begin to release the episodes of The Tops Hill Trilogy, a story that spans time, space and Doctors.

Episode 1 is entitled Ghost Hunt and stars Robert Lloyd as the Doctor alongside Morgan Thomas-Connor as Scout. The Doctor's bad driving takes them to a dwindling Yorkshire museum town called Tops Hill. But the boring first impressions are quickly dashed when stories of ghosts haunting the cake shop at the top of the hill.

Episode 2 is entitled Phantom Power and stars W.D. Stevens as a Doctor from the future with his companion, Roxanne, played by Kristian Columbine. Hello everyone!

The last couple of months have been busy for us working on the new lots of the Robert Lloyd adventures. We've been recording, editing and writing like mad (possibly to the detriment of our studies) and you've already heard the first fruit of our labours, The Flesh Monger. And now, we have a couple of shots from two of the July shoots from that story. It showcases the hilarity of Rob in the studio, forever the comedian and performer. Luckily, he's a good sport and always open to a good mocking - props to Bec Johnston (MISSY) for the idea.

The next coming weeks should be very interesting for a number of directions we're going to go in. And despite her very minimal role in The Flesh Monger, Bec Johnston (above) will definitely be back soon.

Hello Earthlings!

It's been a couple of weeks since our last episode and only a couple of weeks until our next one. And this next one is something special. We began in January with Tales of Mystery & Imagination starring the fantastic Robert Lloyd as the Doctor and now he's back!

Due for release on August 31st is The Flesh Monger written by Tom Denham & W.D. Stevens and is a real spooky cracker which sees the introduction of new companion Scarlott "Scout" Robertson played by the lovely Morgan Thomas-Connor.

And then, in September, Robert Lloyd is back at the helm again for the Tops Hill trilogy written by W.D. Stevens in the first episode entitled Ghost Hunt. This trilogy will feature multiple Doctors and is looking very exciting. We'll bring you more info in the coming weeks but for now, the covers of those two stories are revealed! Hi all!

Just a quick little update to let you all know that we now offer streaming on our episodes. That's right, no more waiting for large downloads followed by a tedious transfer to your preferred listening device. From today onwards, all future releases will have an embedded stream right in the release post and also on the episode page.

(In reality, this means I've only just worked out how to do it...)

Over the next week or two, I shall be adding these streams to the Tales of Mystery & Imagination posts as well as all releases on the episodes page.

I hope you all enjoyed The Perfidious Alchemist and The Temporal Terrorists this month and stay tuned for the next two, Eclipse and Devil's Triangle out in just a few short weeks.

Welcome to the home of Illusionist Productions!

We, as amateur artists, intend to bring a shade of different light into the much loved british sci-fi, 'Doctor Who', once again into the format of full cast audio production. New adventures each month are released consisting of new, fan-created Doctors and companions.

Further down the track, we hope to release such original series as 'Hickory Banes', 'Future Imperfect' and 'Lost in Time', as well as readings and dramatisations of our favourite pieces of literature.
