Spod's discount shops

ILtropia always wanted to comment on Spod's discount shops since the first day of this blog. These shops belong to someone named Spod Spod Spodley. We guess Spod is in the trading business for some years . His target was/is the new players (weapons/armor/mining stuff) and idiots (furniture). Players with no experience/knowledge of prices or no brain...

Spod's policy was simple and effective for the first period of his career. He was an auction hawk (nothing bad with that), he was buying all the crap he could find and then sell them in his shops with unbelievable mark-ups* (see example below).

That was relatively easy some time ago (before the lift of the sweat cap). Sweat was plenty then and new players very fast had peds to buy Spod's ''discount'' items without thinking about prices.

Problems for Spod started when things became tight for newbies. With sweat prices dropping and loot decreasing dramatically, his ass was on fire. New players started to care about their hard earned money and were trying to find the best prices around. The removal of the sweat cap also created competition . Every new player was becoming a wannabe reseller after some days of misery in the game. And that was the final blow in Spod's business. Spod was not alone anymore and he couldn't cope with the competition. Hundreds of new players more clever/faster than him were chasing the ''tt+-0.02'' auction bargains now.

As a result Spod had to close down some of his shops cause probably the profit was not enough even to pay the rent or he was running out of items to sell. These days the rat is trying to become a crafter. He has already started crafting Breer M2A and he is asking for market info (click) for what to craft next. We can imagine the rat's face when he is spending his shiny peds in those crafting machines...

*We are traders too, but to sell Pixie thighs for tt+11 to new players (tt+0.20 at PA) is pure robbery.....

Judge Star!!!

We read an interesting post by Star in EF (Click). The title was ''Bot Caught in the Act!''. Its about an idiot (a.k.a. Star) who is following an avatar. He tried to block it...redirect it...and much more. Its strange but we thought that it is MA's job to find bots. But...

...It seems that we have a new judge who can interfere with everyone ingame.

Sadly for the idiot, someone with the name Nicole who knew him well posted the following:
''(Star) Remember back to your days of hiding in your apartment with the door locked so no one could see you (apartment set to private) and you had this bot that auto logged you off and on to skill some skill?'' (Click)

So the new judge in town he will use his autoboting experience to stop all those that they are running left and right in the game...Can it be any worst?

Art for (almost) free!

Iltropia always wanted to know the cost of an art masterpiece these days.
So we paid a visit to the art gallery in New Oxford.

The place was deserted as always. Seems noone appreciates the work of great artists today.We entered the building and we stoped at the first painting we saw.

The painting was from someone named Mark Kostabi. He is the one that breaks our balls every 10 minutes with his ''draw 2 lines...'' ad on the huge ad screens in the game.

The name of the painting was Greenwich Ave (A) and Mr Kostabi wants 501.36$ for it (5013.60 peds). Well let him want...
If you are that stupid and you desperately want this piece of art (a.k.a. crap) you can have it for almost free. How?
Its simple. Just follow the ILrules...

I. Buy one ad sign in the game.

II. Visit Mr Kostabi's website where all his work is displayed.
III. Save anything you like from there.

IV. Upload it on the ad sign you bought.
V. Pay the upload fee.

And let Mr Kostabi wait for ever for those 501.36$ while you enjoy (if you are so idiot...) his art for free.
(Extra: Donate the 13.60 peds fee to him so he wont starve to death)

ILand Grab

Its official...
ILropia will take part in the Land Grab 2008....
We are building a huge army of professional fighters and we are buying the latest and more powerfull weapons in the game...
When the time will come our ILtroopers will leave nothing alive around the 'claim stakes'...
So choose carefully your side...

The decision was taken in ILtropia headquarters some days ago. The building is located in a secret location and is protected 24/7 by our ILite fighters together with some heavy armed vehicles. The first objective was to grab some heavy transport spacecrafts to move thousands of new players and weapons to our secret desert camp for training. We thought that MA security around those spacecrafts would be tight so we prepared for heavy losses...

But it wasnt.....

Then we set up recruitment kiosks in the new comers area. Thousands of new comers answer our call and run to register and become an ILtrooper. A big thanx goes to the supporting stuff in the ILkiosks.

We had to order some of the best weapons ingame to equip the ILtroopers.

So after we got the spacecrafts needed, we started the transportation of the new players to the desert training camp. Every 5 minutes a spacecraft was landing in the desert unloading hundrends of players that we recruited from PA and heavy weapons.

After arrival the new players were given clothes, weapons and they were trained to the last fighting tactics. Training was hard under the hot desert sun but we didnt receive any complaints from our ILtroopers.

Everyone was giving his best and we were watching them with great pleasure from ILtropia HQ Desert.

Part of the training was the use of heavy armored tanks. The ones in the picture are the IL-2A models and just to scare some rats they cause 573 damage/hit @87 times/minute. Their armor consists of triple supremacy pieces and their decay is 1 pec/shot.

The first graduates were ready in under 2 days. Above you see only a small part of our ILtroopers..... So again choose carefully a side.....
You are with us ...or against us...

The House of Art...

The house is located around Argus near the stables and belongs to someone named Abremalin...

Too bad the "Louvre" is at a remote location and only Exa's and Snable's can admire his art...

JSA Xmas giving

That was something unexpected...
ILtropia noticed Mindstar9 in PA yelling about the JSA Xmas giving (i.e. free money for clever people)
Twenty new players gathered in the arrival area and received a 70 peds Xmas pack from JSA..
Actually 19 of them....
Because 1 pack ended to ILtropia's noob avatar (Yes we have some of those for events like these).
Not bad!!! That was a nice silent global out of nowhere...

So M Xmas to Mindstar9 and we promise next year (if she is alive) we will be there with more than one new avatar...
