Rick Ross and Usher want to touch you on their latest track “Touch’N You” to feature on Rozay’s upcoming LP God Forgives I Don’t (which I think is a bawse title). 

Rick Ross has been working hard to make ‘bags of money’ with the Maybach Music Group  releasing Meek Mill’s Dreams and Nightmares mixtape, featuring on “Bag of Money” by Wale, rapping on the “Cake” remix by Rihanna, collaborating with Usher on “Lemme See” and joining Birdman on ”Born Stunna” - all released within a week!

I guess I can forgive the big man for not performing at Supafest last month in Australia if he has been working this hard on his label artists and craft. Mad respect Don.

According to Rick Ross “Touch’N You”  is:

“for all the sexy ladies know that I got something for ya’ll. I’ma take care of ya’ll. That’s what the Usher record is.”

The track is smooth and sexy and I love it when he gives us ladies a little tenderness (think “Aston Martin Music”) - Ricky baby, we don’t really like to be looked at as an object: a bag of money. 

Listen, love, protect, spend time and paper and you can get it Rozay, I’m just saying… *Rick Ross grunt* 

I am loving the combination of Usher and Rick Ross lately – “Lemme See” was a pleasant teaser and “Touch’N You” affirms this winning formula. R&B collabos truly highlight the softer side of The Bawse and it’s an excellent marketing move – the ladies love Ross when he croons in that sexy self-assured voice about how he’s gonna spoil and love us down. Sexy swag for the ladies equals increased sales and boosted appeal.

I am a Rick Ross fan and I admit – I won’t be falling over myself to listen to Self-Made Volume 2 mixtape, but I am hella hyped for his solo album God Forgives I Don’t as his solo efforts have a broader appeal and always feature ‘ladies love me’ tracks.

Self Made Vol. 2 drops June 26 and God Forgives I Don’t is scheduled for release July 31.

Usher has released a new collabo track days after the release of “Scream” titled “Lemme See” with The Bawse - Rick Ross.

I am highly anticipating Usher’s upcoming LP “Looking for Myself” due to drop June 12. 

“Climax” his first release off the album had me feenin for more – it took me back to the Usher that I used to know and love before he decided mentoring Justin Bieber was a good idea and selling out to the pop and dance world would be a good idea.

“Lemme See” with Rick Ross is definitely skirting around the edges of the pop genre. The track title is self-explanatory of the lyrical content – I’ll show you mine, you show me yours.

The beat is sick something to be expected from an Usher track – his falsetto is effortlessly laid over the track.

Now you know I love me some Rozay - but I am not sure if he really added a great deal to this track. Nonetheless his lyrical content was on point – hell he even worked in the Trayvon Martin case!

“Chanel hoodie on, looking like Trayvon Martin / George Zimmerman don’t want it.”

“Lemme See” didn’t catch me straight up – however I predict it’ll be a grower.

“Bag of Money” by Wale featuring Rick Ross, Meek Mill and T-Pain is the latest hot release from the Maybach Music Group.

It is the lead single from the upcoming mixtape Maybach Music Group Presents Self Made Vol. 2 set to drop June 26.

You could be excused in mistaking the song for being Rick Ross’s. When I listen to the track all I hear is Rozay and T-Pain’s signature auto-tuning with a sprinkling of Meek Mill and Wale.

“Bag of Money” is exactly about that – loving women that look like Rick Ross’s favourite thing – a bag of money (not to be taken literally I don’t think that would translate to be a very good looking woman, just saying).

The track is smooth and a great summer track and if this is indicative of the quality of the upcoming mixtape from MMG - I am hella excited.

The track has an accompanying music video which is rap atypical – one thing I’ll add about the video is, I don’t care HOW MUCH money you have, you never burn it. Bawse, you coulda glammed up the money bags too, garbage bags? Really?

Damn near everyone has remixed Kirko Bangz hot track “Drank In My Cup” but this one is the official remix. 

2 Chainz and Juelz Santana join the Houston native Kirko Bangz on this dope remix. I think Santana’s verses are hotter than 2 Chainz – however it doesn’t detract from Kirko’s verses.

Damn I love those dimples on Juelz. 

I still prefer  the original though with Kirko riding solo.

Oh and Bow Wow your remix was terrible - what the hell were you thinking with that rendition and video!? That was straight porn – “Drank In My Cup” is a sexy, chill song – you violated it. Sit your ass down.

Nicki Minaj features as the face of Pepsi in their latest commerical. 

It is quite the honour to be approached to be in a Pepsi ad – only the biggest and best stars are selected.

Pepsi faces in days gone by include Michael Jackson (who allegedly is being featured again), Whitney Houston, Christina Aguilera, Madonna, Beyoncé, Pink, Britney, Ray Charles and George Michael. 

Nicki Minaj’s track “Moment 4 Life” is the theme of the ad – an excellent song choice and one of my favourite Nicki songs. The commercial depicts two young people at a beach, a tomato throwing festival (ugh no thank you), a fashion show and a concert, moving through frozen scenes.

Barbz rejoice!

However, I still love Coke, just saying…

Biebs has come out with a new song with a music video titled “Boyfriend” and this young’n is stepping up his game dripping with swag.

I’ll admit it. I like this song!! *hangs head in shame* 

“Boyfriend” by Justin Bieber has a catchy beat – obviously the hiphop & R&B hard hitters have been taking the Biebs under their blinged out wings. The track features the word ‘swag’ several times, the signature Usher ‘yeah girlll’ and a sick beat.

“Boyfriend” is almost a cut and paste of Justin Timberlake’s musical style and the music video reminds me of JT’s “Like I Love You” and N’Sync’s “Girlfriend” given it’s parking lot inspiration. It’s also a bit Kanye-esque in the “Otis” video.  Sidebar: why the hell haven’t you released any more music Justin?! You left at your peak! Come back!

Thank goodness he’s gotten rid of that god awful fringe/bang. Someone’s tryna look and act grown. I like it – keep it up Biebs! (even if you are swagger jacking - just saying!)

Nicki Minaj has announced her ‘Pink Friday’ tour dates. Check out whether Nicki Minaj is coming to entertain barbz in your area!

Australia we are lucky – we get to see Nicki very early in the tour – I will be seeing her on May 19th in Brisbane. 

I believe this will be Nicki’s first time in Australia. I will be seeing Prince on Friday the 18th and Nicki Minaj on the 19th! What a week of gigs! 

Brisbane is very lucky to get Nicki as we weren’t on the initial tour schedule but there was a petition and wait list to lobby Nicki to come to Brisbane which I signed- not long after we became a lucky city to host the supreme Queen Barbie.

Keeping it 100 with you, I am sure you would have noticed I have not be pleased with Nicki’s music as of late – but there is no way I was going to miss out on giving her the opportunity to wow me live in concert and change my opinion.

The Nicki Minaj collection was released as a limited edition in January of this year. I really like this collection – being a fan of both Nicki herself and bright creme polishes this seems to me like a match made in polish heaven! I got the mini set that included Save Me I know there was another set released that had Metallic 4 Life but I preferred  the crazy bar glitter :)

O.P.I ‘Pink Friday’

Let’s kick it off with Pink Friday. This is pretty much your standard Barbie or bubblegum pink – very fitting because we know Nicki refers to her fans as her “Barbz”. Application was okay but required three coats for full coverage. Drying time was average. I’m not usually a fan of pinks but this one is worth adding to your collection  if you don’t have anything similar. The second shot is shown with Save Me layered on top.

Save Me is a clear base, with small silver glitter with bright blue and holo bar glitter. I reeeeaaaallly like this one. It’s pretty original and a fun way to spruce up a boring/ageing mani. Application was okay, I only used two coats in this pic but there was a bit of balding, I would recommend using three coats for more even coverage. Drying time was quite good. Another fantastic thing about Save Me was that it removed SO MUCH EASIER than many of the other glitters I own.
