Don’t Buy Bulk e-Mails

There’s one point in our lives that we’ve seen advertisement that is selling “500,000 email addresses for $49.99” or something like that. And these companies who sell e-mail address sometimes offer their product by digital downloads or put into CD and will be delivered in your doorsteps.

I’m pretty sure everybody (especially in Internet Marketing) would really die for 500,000 subscribers in their list, because the money is in that list (at least that what they say). Having this huge list would be great advantage, why? Because 20%-30% would open your list and 1% to 5% of those people who open your email would convert into profits!

So imagine if you have 500,000 and 20% of those open your email that will be 100,000 and 1% of 100,000 is 1,000! So if you could make at least $20 per sale that would be $200,000 in just one email! Can you imagine the money that would knock in your wallets? What if you’re doing this at least 4 times a month that is a whopping $800,000 just by sending them emails!

Ok hold-on, but why am I trying to discourage you to buy this kind of products if this is one of the best ways to earn money online? Well simple, if you buy this product you still need them to manually confirm their subscriptions, if they don’t like your product or even your email, they might mark you as spam. Imagine 10% of 500,000 marked you as spam, and then you are dead meat brothers and sisters!

After all the years you tried to build your mailing list, your email would marked as spam and the result every time you send an email your messages will drop in their spam messages and you know what happen to spam messages are right? Yes! Instant delete!

Another thing, this email address is not 100% active! Come on, tell me one company that sell email address and all of those email in the list is active I’ll give you $100 for the tip if not then don’t bother recommending one to me.

I recently tried one company that sells 1 billion email addresses. A billion! A BILLION! How much? $255! Pretty cheap eh? After I scan those email addresses, I notice that most of those email address are dead, some email address are not registered or not active anymore. So there I saved you $255.

Last thing is, how long are you will be able to spam those email address? If you have a SMTP provider that let you send 200 email an hour, that would be 4,800 emails per day and dividing it over a billion you will be wasting 570 years (8 times your normal life) sending your email to this mails that would only put your email account at risk!

So to summarize it all why you should not buy bulk emails

You need them to manually subscribe to your mailing list
It’s not 100% active
Most of those email address are dead
You’re putting your email account at risk
You will be marked as spam
You will be wasting your time
You’re great grand children are dead yet you still haven’t finish sending all those messages.

So there you have it people, don’t buy bulk e-Mails because it only wast your money and life.

How does Automated Traffic Hurt Your Site?

It was my way of getting traffic before when I first started my site AloofKid.com, I’m averaging 600-800 unique visitors per day because of these Automated Traffic sites that gets traffic in your blog and increase your traffic rate.

Today I was checking my old emails and saw an email from a bunch of emails from these Automated Traffic Sites, so I tried it again just for the sake of SiteMeter’s statistics so people will see I have lots of visitors coming to my site.

Though I notice that every visitor only visits your site for 30 seconds or less which means analytics will see this as a bounce visitor and will increase your bounce rate.

What is a Bounce rate?

It’s a statistics when a person visits your site without visiting any other pages in your blog or site. Though there are no specific standards how much time by which a visitor must leave your site in order to count this as a bounce rate.

Is there any other way that a visitor will count as Bounce?

Yes there are 5 other ways that will consider your visitor as bounce, according to Wikipedia they can be considered as bounce rate when people

Click a link to the other page of your blog
Close an open window or tab of your blog
Type a new URL in your site
Clicking the “Back” button to exit your site
Session Timeout

So how will this affect your site?

If you have high bounce rate web analytics or should I say the web analytics see this that many people leaves your site and it will indicates that you’re site entrance page are not relevant to your visitors. In return it will hurt your site’s Search Engine Ranking Page rankings.

So you might be asking in what way it will hurt your SERP, first Google always reward blogs that has a quality content, with this if a visitor finds your content interesting and stayed in your blog and read other pages it means Google will see this as a good site, in reward they will give you a high ranking in SERP. On the flip side if search engines see you have high bounce rate the will give you a low rankings in SERP because they don’t want to give people a content which is irrelevant to what they are searching for.

So if you use this Automated Traffic to your site, it will surely increase your traffic but in return you will get high back rates.

Hold your horses! I’m going to teach you how!

First you need to remove your site to these automated traffic sites. This is the best way to reduce your bounce rate, if you still continue to increase your traffic using this site it’s up to you but for me it’s better to have traffic from search engines themselves.
Make your blog user friendly. Who wants to read a blog who is over populated? Always check if your blog has a good color scheme, your fonts are readable and lastly doesn’t have too many ads.
Write Quality and Relevant content. If you blog has quality article chances are people will visit your site again, or at least they will look for another good content in your site which technically will decrease your bounce rate.
Inter-link articles in your blog. I found this the best way to at least promote another article in your blog. Another thing is putting a “Related Artilce/Post” at the end of your post.

So probably asking me how you can check your bounce rate?

There is no immediate result for you to check your bounce rate not unless you have a Google Analytics script in your blog/site then you can log-in in your Google Analytics account and check your bounce rate. If you still don’t have one, go register at Google Analytics and just follow the steps on how to integrate Google Analytics to your site. This might take you 24-48 hours in order to get your first result.

What is the acceptable bounce rate?

Well it depends on every site, if you have let’s say… a coupon site, it’s OK to have 40%-60% bounce rate, but if you have a blog like this one where you post article and stuff this is not good for you. I have .07% bounce rate yesterday and after doing this Automated Site Traffic it gave me 1.02% bounce rate. Though it doesn’t hurt my site that much, now you know why you should stay away from this Automated Traffic site because it will surely hurt your site.

Email Scam Alert: Blogging To The Bank

I received an email from Blogging to the Bank by Rob Benwell, thought the only problem was it is in my spam box. Curious why it was in my spam box I decided to open the email and read it.

So the message is obviously suspicious, I was really asking myself why in the world Rob will email me this super duper to the max ugly sales recommendation. So I went and check the whole message and saw this on the end part of the message.

So from that very moment something is wrong so I conducted an investigation, and here’s what I found out.

Email Address

The REAL Rob Benwell has an email address of and the sender’s name is Rob Benwell.

Meanwhile this scam email came from the address of and the sender’s name is .

Personalized

Every email marketing software like Aweber or GetResponse always have personalized feature so when you put Hi {!firstname}! it will shows like Hi Obed. In this scam message there’s no personalized names.

While the real Email that came from Rob Benwell himself has my name on it and sometimes you can see your name on the subject line aswell.

Unsubscribed Option

This is a must in every email that you send through an email marketing software like Aweber and GetResponse. On each email messages you will notice that there’s a Unsubscribed text where you can click a link if you which to opt-out the mailing list. While the fake one doesn’t have one but the real Blogging to the Bank email have one.

Though for me, it didn’t harm me nor my computer and upon scanning using a McAfee and Avast! Pro antivirus it came out clean. My only concern was, how did this sucker able to use Blogging to the Bank address using a GetResponse domain address. Also if it was hack or something my question is, are we really safe if we subscribed using GetResponse or do we/you really need to switch to Aweber?

What I want the most is their way of teaching the course, for me it’s easier to learn something when I’m actually watching it. Though there are few things that I want to really show you people, Clickbank Wealth Formula’s sales page says it’s so easy to earn that much but upon studying the course Anik obviously said that it will take long hard work.

For newbies you can find a lot of value in this course but if you are an experience Internet Marketer and had bought a lot of products it’s just the same game. You can find some easy videos out there but if you want to have it in just one box buy this product.

The $15,000 in just 24 hours is honestly possible I think, but that’s if and only if you have a huge list of subscribers in your mailing list, but if not sorry to disappoint you, you won’t get the money.On the other hand if you don’t have any partnership or what we called Joint Venture you must be ready in spending some cash to promote your product

Personally what you see in page that states by doing what the product said you’ll get that big amount of money? Well don’t believe that, because those results are just results from other product they’ve previously launch.Misleading isn’t?

Again, if you want to be a internet marketer and want to know the corners it then buy this one, but if you believe that by just doing this product you will able to earn at list $10,000 in your first month promise you, if you’re a newbie you wont.

Last night I bought Get into Google News eBook that claims that with this product your Press Release will be in Google News under 22 Minutes. Curious about what method he is trying to show I bought a copy of his product, after reading it I was able to learn how freaking easy it is!

The Get into GOOGLE NEWS is straight to the point step-by-step guide.In the eBook it tells you what Press Release get the most result and how will you put it into the Google News so you can drive traffics to your site and get backlinks from several site that has high Page Rank.

Though I don’t have any Press Release page test the method I’ll be taking asking five of my readers who will let me use their Press Release in order to full test this method. In return your press release will be in Google News and get tons of traffic.

8 Things New Blogger Should Avoid

When I was starting my own blog, there are mistakes that I’ve made which totally didn’t help me as I blog. It was just this year when I knew what where those mistakes. So to share some of those mistakes here are 8 mistakes I commonly see in many start-up bloggers:

Not getting a domain

While it is not mandatory to start your blog having your own domain but it is highly recommended to get one. Why? Because not only you get a complete control of your own website you will also look more professional blogger if you have one.

Using an Ugly Themes

If you can’t afford to buy a premium themes at least get a free themes with a simple designs. I notice how a new blogger use themes that has a lot of advertisement slots or a magazine styled theme. I always recommend bloggers to start their blogs with a simple theme where people can see your new post. Imagine if a visitor goes to you over populated theme, your visitor will be confused where he should start reading your post.

Not Branding the Blog

There are tons of ways to brand your blog, but as a start you should have a decent logo and a catchy tagline. I don’t know if it’s just me but every time I go to a certain site, I always remember the one who has a nice logo. Some might not notice your logo but having a decent logo helps a visitor to remember your blog. Putting a tagline helps every visitors in your site get a quick description what your blog is all about, you may include it in your logo or near your logo, and either of them is recommended.

Putting Too Many Ads

Your site is a blog, not a classified ad site. It annoys me when I see many bloggers who try to put a lot of ads in their blog. Guys, not unless you’re averaging 20,000 unique visitors per day, you can’t put many ads in your blog. It’s not good for your site and it’s not good for your readers.

Posting Irregularly

I always see to it that my blog has a fresh post daily, well except Sundays =] If I have two new post for the day I schedule my second post to be publish on the next day. So if I don’t have anything to post on a certain day, I always have a back-up article that I can post in my blog so my readers have something to read daily.

I’ve seen new bloggers who rush 3 posts everyday and after few days they leave their blog without any single post for days. This is not a good for your readers so you must post regularly.

Being a Copycat

I myself are guilty in my early days of blogging career, I always copy someone’s content and replace a few words to make it “unique”. I’ve learn that readers always look for the blogger’s own opinion. If you try to copy and reword an article, chances are, you won’t be a successful blogger and Google might penalizes your site as a spam.

Going Off Topic

Who is not guilty of this? As I start this site I have so many topics in my blog. Back then I am only averaging 10 unique visitors per day. Now that I’ve manage to focus on one topic, two weeks after I launch the new ImObed.com I am averaging 70 people per day. Cool eh?

Not Promoting Your Site

Many people think that the very first time they publish their first post people will rush to their blog and receive hundreds of visits. Well, I wish that can happen but it won’t. When you first start blogging you must promote your blog to hundreds of social media out there. You can ask your friends to tweet it in their twitter or post promote it in their Facebook account with a link to your site.

My Cash Printer Review

I want to give a quick review to a new system that I bought. Kevin Young promote a product called My Cash Printer in his mailing list subscribers. I went to that page and gave it a quick scan. I am not really interested to buy My Cash Printer product but because of the pop-up that gave me a whooping $7 discount from the original price of $47 so I decided to buy it.

Upon completing the payment, I went to NINE, see that, NINE offer page. I almost click the close button of my browser because I am so annoyed with this offer page. First they are offering Mark Jackson’s Ultra Secret Money Making System for $67, then he offered a discount of the same system for $37 and lastly for $17. That 3 offer page for the same product!

Next offer page is a James and Mark’s Cash Chugging System for $197, then a discount of $97, then $47. Next annoying offer page is a system that was use by a “My Cash Printer” client who applied the system and made a revision of My Cash Printer and selling it for $97! Another client of My Cash Printer made a new revision and selling it for another $97! Come on! Wait there’s effing more! He combined these two systems and sold it for $67! Geez!

Opinion:

This 36 paged e-book is not really a system that you will try and earn money when you applied the system. This e-book only gives you some information on ways of how to make money online. I was a bit upset when I reached the last page, I was expecting for some tricks or tips how I can maximize my earning.

Pros:

14 list of how to earn money online
Two example site each list that you can try
Well explained details about each site given to the list
Good for starters who are looking more ways to earn money online

Cons:

No step-by-step guide that will teach you how to do each list
No tips and trick on how to maximize your earnings on each list
No exact system to follow, all are tips.

2. Ultimate Automated Quick Start Guide

Opinion:

Automated eh? Well not really, in this product it teach on how you can sell your product or what we know is your ebook. Yes, you need to have your own product if you want to try what he is saying “Money Generating Income” where he wakes up and found his earnings by selling some information that you can find in other blogs for free. Pfft!

Pros:

Cons:

Lack of information
No guide on how to get a FREE traffic in your offer
Giving tips that you need to attend convention and seminars <— are you serious it is given!?

Opinion:

At last a quality e-book I found it the package, this ebook teaches you on how to make a good sales using different kind of methods like using ads, affiliating program, what to keywords to choose, how to make an effect ads and much more.

Pros:

Step-by-step walk through each method
Additional ROI calculating tips is a bonus

Cons:

Most of the information listed is basic
Not for experience internet marketer

4. VIP Access to Survey Money Daily

Opinion:

This is a survey site where you can earn additional money online. Though upon accessing the page, the only clickable link is the FAQ page, the “Click Here To Get Started” is not clickable so I am clueless on how can I access this “VIP Access”

5. Automated Adwords Wealth Guide

Product: eBook
Pages: 53

Opinion:

This product is like a user manual of Adword Advertising, it teaches on how to maximize each option in Adword advertising.

Pros:

A good product for those who want to learn more about Adword advertising
Explained almost all the corners around Adword advertising
Well explained situation comparison like “Ad Scheduling Or Dayparting” and more
Includes budgeting techniques and more

Cons:

No direct page, so you need to buy $7 just to get this product.

If not because of Automated Adword Wealth Guide this system is a waste of money. Actually it is, for experience internet marketers. You would not find anything new in this ebook, not even a system that will teach your and guide on how to make more money. Most information are basic, you can find most of them in Google.
