It's so famous that there's even a page in Wikipedia just about it! See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_360_technical_problems and info-products about it at clickbank.com.

And yet Microsoft is still selling its game console despite knowing about this problem (they might have solve it by now).

Imagine this - when they launch, they sold millions of copies and gotten the feedbacks about the problem but they still keep on selling it.

THEY DON'T STOP SELLING DESPITE KNOWING THE PROBLEM.

Honestly, if I sell a million copy of a product that has problems, I'll be stressed. Wouldn't you?

Three business philosophies I've learned from Microsoft's business thinking:

1. You can't wait for everything to be perfect. First, perfection will probably never exist. By the time you got it 'perfect', whatever you're selling might even be already outdated.

Secondly, you got to be fast if you want to be the market leader. Their competitor, Playstation is already the market leader at that time and if they don't act fast, the harder it'll be for them to penetrate in. Besides, the longer they wait, the more profit they're losing.

2. If you have sales, everything else can be handled. Got problem after making a lot of sales? Then invest your profit in customer service. The secret to business success - create positive cashflow and reinvest in your business.

3. The money is in the back-end. Do you think Microsoft just make money from selling the game console? I'm sure you're smarter than that. :-) The games, my friend. BIG BUCKS.

I'm not a game developer so I don't know how much game companies pay for the license to have their game playable with Xbox 360. I have no clue whether it's a $100 or $10,000 but there are thousands of games developed every time. But what if Microsoft takes royalty for each game sold? Some games launches with millions of copies sold overnight – do the math and you'll see that Microsoft makes millions of dollars on passive income.

Let's look at your current business now...

Are you launching your internet business even if it's not perfect?

Are you focusing on sales, the lifeblood of your business or something redundant?

And finally, do you have a back-end offer for your existing products?

If you find any value reading this blog post, do leave your comments or feedbacks.

All the best,

Patric Chan
http://www.youchandoit.com/

===================================

You have the permission to republish this article on your own blog for content as long as none of the article is modified or edited.

===================================

-

New free traffic method - I'm using this now

You can get free traffic to promote affiliate programs or your own product with this brand new service:

http://www.automateinternetmarketing.com/cc/slideads

The trick is to get started faster before everyone else know about it.

I'm currently using it to give away the Instant Sale Secrets System and I've already gotten sales on autopilot!

I send traffic from Slide Ads to:

http://www.instantsalesecrets.com

All the best.

-Patric Chan

P.S: How could you go wrong? I was excited to know from its website that I can get paid $200 - $400 on average each week by just 'typing'.

Does that works? Well, put it this way - even the domain name is not being renewed by the owner today. :-)

Honestly, I don't really know about all of these 'work at home' stuff - filling surveys, typing ads, sweepstakes, contests and so on.

But I found a reliable website where you can participate in sweepstakes and contests - I have a good feeling that these are real because they're from real companies.

Here's the ultimate resource:

http://contests.about.com

You can read everything there like the rules and so on, don't need me to explain here. Have fun. :-)

Only thing is, most of the stuff are only available in US and neighboring countries.

Keen To Work At Home But Not Fall Prey To Scams?

Then the answer is affiliate marketing. There are two types of affiliate marketing - the quick money style and the long-term affiliate. I highly recommend The Affiliate Black Book. to teach you both. If you've been bombarded with tons of "how to make money from Clickbank/Adwords BS", most of them copied Mr. X. Most of them don't make money - I know X's stuff works because I know him and I got his course.

I bring you, Affiliate Black Book.

I haven't remove yet so you can still get them free

I was in London during the weekend to speak at a seminar and due to that, I've completely forgotten to remove June's content for the Chan Do Chartered Membership.

The Chan Do Chartered Membership:
http://www.chandomembership.com/chartered.html

June's content includes a case study video revealing to you how I use Google Adwords to make a profit in less than 15 minutes.

On top of that, I'm also including a comprehensive step-by-step manual that teach you how to use MySpace to make autopilot income (this is blackhat - not approve by MySpace.com). Headline: Get your readers attention immediately.

And, to get their attention, you should speak directly to your target audience. One of the ways to do this is to use a pre header, in smaller type, just above the main headline. It's a bit like shouting out someone's name in a crowded room. It gets their attention above the hubbub. It says: "To all copywriters . . This is for you – take a look!

It also gives you two shots at getting attention. Here’s an example of a pre heading: “If you haven’t got a million dollar yet . . . read this”

That then leads the reader into your main headline, which should carry the main benefit of the product, preferably with a time scale. For example:
How To Change Your Life In Seven Days As A Copywriter. . .

2. Immediately support the claim made in your headline (which should be as outrageous as the proof will allow), with a testimonial (preferred) or some other proof (such as cheques, bank statements, merchant account screenshots, et cetera)

3. You might have a sub heading, explaining the benefit in more details. After which you gently lead the reader into the body of your letter and build interest by establishing your credibility, showing them you are just like them and demonstrating you have the knowledge/ authority/experience to solve their problem. This is just about the only time you can talk about yourself, rather than the prospect’s problems and desires.

4. Define the problem, sympathise with the reader, and then lay on the agony of the problem in the most graphic terms possible.

5. Introduce the product as the perfect solution. Then, whet the reader’s desire with the product’s benefits and say what these benefits mean to them. For example: This CD player has a digital graphic equalizer (that’s the feature) that means you can adjust the sound profile (that’s the benefit bestowed by the feature) which means you can match the sound to the room, so your favourite music sounds great in any room of your house (that’s the higher level of benefit, demonstrating the product in a way the prospect can personally relate to).

6. Intensify the reader’s desire by showing them testimonials from satisfied customers, which show the product in action. This not only provides proof of your product’s effectiveness, it also provides Social Proof, which reassures the prospect other people have already bought and been satisfied.

7. List any additional items the reader will get as part of the basic package (excluding any time-sensitive bonuses you’re keeping for later). Also plant a scarcity element into the conversation at this stage – or earlier. For example, there are only a certain number of this particular deluxe model available.

8. When the reader is reeling under the full impact of all what he’s going to get, point out that this package is so good they’ll naturally understand that it’s not going to be cheap. Then build further perceived value in the mind of the reader by comparing the cost of some alternative high price solution, like a personal consultaion, if it’s a masterclass or a masterclass if it’s a course.

Then reveal the price, which will be minimised by comparison with the high price the reader has been made to focus on. Always include a reason why you can offer this product so cheaply, whilst retaining all its virtues. For example, it might be a digital product, so there is no shipping or product cost, so you are happy to pass on the savings to the prospect.

9. Enhance the attractiveness of the offer even more by listing the bonus items they can receive provided they order by a certain deadline. An alternative – and even more effective way is to offer the first X number of buyers the bonuses. This adds a further element of danger.

Why?

Because, with a fixed deadline, the prospect will “put off” ordering until five minutes before your bonus deadline – assuming they don’t forget all together. But by introducing the thought of a scarcity – and an unknown scarcity at that, you really light a fire under your prospect. After all, the more they want the product, the more they think the world and his dog is snapping up the last copy right now!

10. Introduce your guarantee. This should be as generous and as long – 90 days minimum- as you can make it. Try to make sure the customer actually comes out better than when they started. For example, allow them to keep the bonus items, even though they get a full refund. A good strong guarantee will go beyond simply reassuring the customer they aren’t taking a risk. It will also demonstrate your absolute faith in your product.

11. Ask for immediate action by stressing the scarcity factor you already planned back at item 7 and working on the prospect’s self interest by showing what they will lose if they don’t act quickly.

12. Always include a couple of Post Scripts. One restating the main benefit and the other telling the reader of another loss they will suffer if they don’t act right away or another benefit they will gain (peace of mind, once they’ve ordered the product or discovering the secrets five minutes from now – if it’s a downloadable product)

13. Lift letter. It’s always a good idea to include this as a last chance to persuade a wavering prospect. In conventional mail order this would be in the form of an envelope marked “Open only if you are still undecided”. On the internet, this would simply be a “Click here if you’re still undecided” button that takes the prospect to another page on the website.

Either way, the prospect would then see a new letter with all the testimonials listed with a statement to the effect that all these people had gone through the same dilemma as the reader is now doing. But all the people who wrote these testimonials finally ordered the products and were very pleased they did – as the reader will also be delighted . . . It’s also a good idea to restate the guarantee and list the bonuses that will be lost if the reader doesn’t order right away.

It’s a sterling and proven rule of getting the customer to take action that they are more motivated by the thought of what they will lose rather than by what they will gain. Forbidden fruit, I suppose.

Still don't have a product to sell? Then knowing how to write a salesletter wouldn't really help. I'm saying that you should explain your offer in rather simplistic terms that don’t scare away potential buyers. You should always look to make your products and services as pushbutton as you possibly can.

That's especially important with software programs.

No one really cares how your product works. They just want to know that it does work and how they don't have to do much to get the benefits your product was promised to deliver.

For the most part people are very insecure about their abilities. Even when you show them proof that other people have done exactly what you're showing them how to do...

Most people still hesitate because they don't believe they can do it. In other words... you need to put together "systems" people can just plug into and get results from.

Most people don't want to know how to do something. They want someone who does know how to do something to do it for them so they can either promote your something as an affiliate or buy the rights to your something and sell it without having to put in any real work.

Understand this...

If you have the time and you're willing to do something constructive you will always be in a position to make money from people who want the benefits of doing something without actually having to put in any real work.

That will always be true.

What does that all mean as far as making money?

Well, you can create a special report that shows people how to look for resale rights on the internet and make money with resale rights. But to make their life easier and more convenient, you can promote Resell Rights Fortune.

Think about that.

For the most part, people complain about FREE detailed instructions on something that actually produces results with a little effort but they would gladly pay $100-$200 or more for a system that uses the very same technique they could have created themselves for free.

Some of that is laziness but mostly it's due to the fact that many people work hard at 9-5 jobs, have a family and other obligations that take up most of the time they would need to put various techniques and strategies they learn into action for themselves.

Both types of people will gladly pay for something that's already done for them so if you're willing to put in a little work for those people you can make as much money as you want.

Some people make obscene amounts of money by doing what I just talked about. They trade a few weeks worth of work for $40,000-$50,000+ in bankable profits.

Allen Says wrote something about it in one of his reports...

"Any solution you come up with that makes it easy
on people has a 100% better chance of selling than
anything that requires them to work. The majority of
people want things already done, and they will pay
top dollar to have it done for them."

Always keep your brain asking questions. Whenever you learn how to do something, ask yourself and find out if there's a market of people who would pay to have that done for them. You might not always be able to come up with something good but sometimes you will.

Don't believe me this is true?

Just look in your mailbox to see 10 marketers 'pushing' you to buy the same product. Even if the product is about affiliate marketing, it doesn't talk about affiliate marketing on the webpage - it talks about HOW you can make money online with no products and responsibility. :-)

New Discovery For Affiliate Marketing And 2Checkout Merchant

Watch the video below how to use 2checkout.com to get free traffic to your existing 2checkout products and also for affiliate marketing. It is, but selling "THIS" makes you more. :-)

So what's "THIS"? It's software application.

Just ask yourself this - let's say you're a stock trader, as a consumer, would you buy a course that will teach you how to analyze stock charts or a software that will create the chart and analyze for you?

I don't have to answer that for you. It'll be easier to sell the solution than teaching someone how to do the solution. (Yeah, I know there will be people who want to learn about the solution - that's why you need to read more of this post where I'll explain where the money is.)

The other cool part with software is you can sell it as a subscription like how John Delavera did with his automation software previously. (But now he is giving it for free. Click here to get it.)

If you know of a smart internet marketer by the name of Mike Filsaime, his 'killer' is Paydotcom.om, which is a type of 'software'.

My home course, The Chan Do Internet Success System made me 6-figure income in one year where else, my software program, Niche Marketing 2.0 System was sold out after 200 copies were taken up. Made me 6-figure in a week.

People like to buy software simply because software do stuff for them.

Here are some 'unaware' information how to make money with software...

1. Don't just sell the software - bundled it with a course! As a matter of fact, it doesn't even have to be a course, it can just be a case study showing how to use the software effective. I use this for Instant Sale Secrets System. Best is, give them the solution and also teach them how to solve.

2. Go out of 'internet marketing' niche - there are unlimited potential of selling software in niche markets. You could have a software product in the health niche, pets niche, financial niche or whatever niche you're pursuing. You'll make a killing there because everyone else is still selling the classic ebook.

3. Because there's so much demand for people wanting to know how to make money with software application, make money by teaching them to do this! (Remark: Make sure you have the expertise or knowledge if you want to do this.) Some quick stats - "software development" - 673,000 searches, "software design" - 823,000 searches, "software application" - 60,500 searches, "application software" - 165,000 searches and so on.

4. Branch out to uncharted territory - go into applications for Facebook (more than 200 million active users), Iphones (more than 10 million owners), mobiles, etc. You can either teach how to make money with applications or develop your own to sell to generate income for yourself. Whichever options you go, you can make a killing there and nobody will know.

5. Sell your software application away and develop another new one. Sometimes, you don't even need to make money with your own application to sell it! For instance, if you have an Iphone application that is being used by 10,000 users now and you're getting new downloads everyday - I believe there will be companies that are interested to buy your application so that they can reach these 10,000 potential prospects for other stuff they have to sell.

The best part is, you don't need to be a programmer to be a software application owner - it's about knowing how to get it developed by others and being an entrepreneur to monetize it. A good example would Bill Gates or me. We're not programmers.

Free Software... There is NO catch.

And that makes the deal a no-brainer for you to get it right away.

The only thing you need to do is to signup with the notification list at

http://use-sell.com/2/1512405ry/56972?camp_id=3395

John will email you between May 17 and May 24, with the instructions you need in order to get your free license, the manuals and video tutorials.

My recommendation? This will tell you what problems people are having and what kind of solutions are being given to them.

If you pay really close attention, you will pick up a couple great titles for articles and a list of different things that you can write about.

Let's say your niche is "fix relationship problem" -- what we are going to do right now is head on over to http://answers.yahoo.com and type in a variation of our keyword, for now we will stick with "relationship problem".

One of the first threads I see is:

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ar492YbXt0SqNty7VUZaxmQjzKIX;_ylv=3?qid=1006060207896

(I choose the second one because the first question is 18-SX and it’s about marriage instead of 'fixing relationship problems'.)

Just from the title of the post alone, I can come up with a couple of article titles right off the top of my head.

*How To Tell If Your Love Partner Is Ready

*5 Steps To Start A Serious Relationship

*How To Express Your Feeling To Your Love Partner

Do you see what I am doing here? I am letting people that are having problems in this area of their life determine what my content is going to be so that there is not a whole lot of guess work. I do not have to wonder whether or not my content is something that people will want to read. People are already telling me that they are searching for this type of information to help them in their lives and their relationships.

Lets take a look at the next question and do the same thing. Even though this might seem repetitious on my part, I want to be absolutely certain that by the time you are done reading this technique you will be able to put it aside and carry all of these steps out on your own easily and with confidence that you are doing it correctly.

Now that we have a couple article titles, the next thing we have to do is come up with content for the articles. This is what I like to use Google and my own life experiences for.

You can also read other articles that are in circulation and put your own spin on things. I know that when I read almost any article, when I am done, I have ideas for how I could expand that topic in three different directions. This does take a little bit of creativity on your part, but the more you do it, the easier it will come to you.

We now know how to come up with content to write about, so it is time to put it into action.

P.S: I've recorded over 7 hours of training to teach how to start an info-product business from A-Z, FASTEST WAY POSSIBLE at http://www.youchandoit.com/.

-------------------

Using Competitive Intelligence For Keyword Research

I've created a video revealing a technique using competitive intelligence to research for your niche market. Watch the video below:

You can signup Friend Connect for free at www.google.com/friendconnect/

I've just put up mine at www.patricchan.name to see how effective it is. Feel free to join and see how it works.

Now, if you have questions towards the application, the best is to ask Google - I wouldn't have the answer for you because it's not my software. :)

There are many reasons why you want to turn your website into a community-style website but the most powerful reason is to grow it virally. If you're doing niche marketing like I do, it's very common for your market to share with others when they found valuable resources - isn't that's how social marketing works?

And when you add the brand "Google" to it, it spreads like wildfire. There are software like Viral Inviter which allows the market to 'invite' their friends to check out your stuff but the only problem I see is this - how many people would actually dare to put their Twitter, Gmail, Facebook, etc INTO your website? But they might use Friends Connect to invite their friends because they trust Google.

By the way, if you're planning to mention Friends Connect on your own blog and you've heard about it first from here, would appreciate you'll mention that. Doesn't need a link back or something, but mention "Patric Chan" would be appreciated as a way of showing 'community ethics'. Yes, Google will alert if you do. :-)

If you find value in today's post, feel free to leave your comment or if you have any feedbacks to give.

Thanks,

Patric Chan
www.youchandoit.com

-----

How We Launch Our Latest Product (A look behind the scene)

My latest internet business is The Success Trace Private Membership, a program focuses on showing you how to achieve success in 5 areas of life - personal growth, financial wealth, health, relationship and spirituality. This the program that I have great passion in because I know this is the 'core' for anyone's success in life (it has nothing to do with internet marketing). In the program, it also includes my future personal interview with success gurus like Ted Nicholas, Mark Joyner, Dr. Joe Vitale, etc.

Today, I like to share with you how we promote it so that you can learn from real life example.

I've done mainly 3 strategies to get traffic - social marketing, Google Adwords and launching an affiliate program. Others include article marketing, blogging, etc.

Guess which one beats everything else? Yup, running an affiliate program.

No kidding.

Here are the 7 factors we've included to make this strategy a success:

1. Affiliate Tracking System

The standard affiliate tracking system is using cookies technology and that works fine but you'll be having just another affiliate program. We took a step further by creating an affiliate tracking system that embeds the affiliate's ID into our autoresponder when the visitors subscribe. This way, whenever we email out, it goes out with our affiliate's affiliate link!

Here's what I mean...

Let say John was referred by an affiliate to subscribe to our email list at successtrace.com. 3 days later, we send out a promotional email to John to sign up Success Trace Private Membership.

In a normal scenario, the affiliate will not get credited for the affiliate commission once John cleared his cookies. But NOT IN OUR AFFILIATE PROGRAM. When we email out, our technology will make sure that the email that John gets is with THE AFFILIATE'S AFFILIATE LINK - so regardless of whether he cleared his cookies or not, it doesn't matter because he'll be cookied again with the affiliate link.

In a nutshell, if we promote Success Trace to John at anytime, affiliate WILL EARN COMMISSION when he signs up. Totally hands-off at affiliate's end so that they can still expect to get paid in the future for our in-house promotions. And most importantly, they're protected from losing commission.

With so many competition out there, your affiliate program just got to stand out that you'll need to take care of your affiliate's interest as much as possible.

2. Affiliate Commission Payout

"Seasoned" affiliate marketers don't want to wait 60 days to get paid. They need the cash because that's what they do, that's how they generate income, they're affiliate marketers. We pay out the commission twice a month by using Clickbank.com. This way, not only affiliates get paid prompt, the payout will always be accurate and they can even get paid directly to their bank accounts (Clickbank has this feature for a few selected countries).

3. Affiliate Promotion Tools

Whether you are having newbie or experienced affiliate marketers, you got to have affiliate promotion tools that they can 'plug and play' immediately to make money with. There are two main reasons to this -- first, you want them to work as little as possible and secondly, you should know the BEST WAY to promote your product. When it comes to providing affiliate tools, you need to have the 'pitch promotion tools' like solo ads, banners, etc and the 'content promotion tools' like articles, video content, etc.

In Success Trace affiliate program, we provide solo ads, articles, banners, videos, etc so that the affiliate will be able to promote in less than 10 minutes.

4. Valuable Content

Prepare valuable content that your affiliates can use so that they can ADD VALUE to their readers. Not all affiliates like to pitch for a product but rather prefer to provide real good content and let their readers to decide whether they want learn more or not. In Success Trace, we make sure we give good content they can use. For instance, one of our articles got stumbled in StumbleUpon.com more than a thousand times when it was release. The traffic is not the big deal but the deal is, people LIKE THE CONTENT and sharing it without any incentive.

5. Multiple Income Streams

Right now, it's very hard to attract good affiliates if they're going to get paid for just one product. In Success Trace affiliate program, affiliates will get paid for the back-end products that we offer as well. This way, it automatically increase the size of the commission check WITHOUT doing anything extra. Very simple concept - if you can get paid with 3 product sales or more compare to just one product, which program will you promote?

6. Passive Income Model (This one rocks everything else)

Nothing attracts any affiliate marketers more than the fact that they can make passive income. For an affiliate to sell an ebook, it'll take just the same amount of effort to promote a membership that pays him passive income every month. Given on any day, I would prefer to promote a program that pays me monthly for one time effort to create residual income.

7. A High Conversion Salesletter

Click here to read the salesletter.. You can argue with me if you think it's not a good offer and that's perfectly fine with me because I know it CONVERTS (otherwise, we wouldn't have hundreds of members now). It's very obvious that affiliates want to promote program that converts well for them to make more money for the same amount of traffic they can generate.

There are other factors involved to attract affiliates (I'm not referring to JV Partners) but I guess these 7 factors did very well for us. Next time when you launch yours, do these and let me know if you got more affiliates than your usual.

P.S: Maybe running your own affiliate program is not relevant to you because you don't have a product or webpage yet? The thing is, You can start your own profitable info-product business by knowing the same concept, business model and strategies of Success Trace through The Chan Do Internet Success System. I'll show you how, regardless if you're newbie or struggling to make your business work and I only teach based on what I DO AND PROVEN. CLICK HERE.

-----------------------------------------------

Wy You Keep On Failing

The video below is not about internet marketing but about becoming successful in what you're doing. So if you happen to be a 'follower' in one form or another, be smart and take this constructively to help you to grow. Successful people became successful because they're willing to learn and don't let their ego to eat them up.

Examples I've seen:

My blog domain name is 'ugly' – www.internetmarketing-tactics.com/blog. What kind of stupid domain name is that anyway? :-)

But followers might think that this is the RIGHT way of buying a domain name by using a hyphen (-) and choosing a long domain name.

Bzzz. Wrong.

The reality is, that's the second domain name I bought back in 2003 or 2004(I've got hundreds of them today) when I first started in internet marketing niche. The first one was automateinternetmarketing.com (another lousy domain name). That time, I ended up buying a long domain name like this is because I wasn't internet marketing savvy and now I'm 'stuck' with it. Then I started doing blogging back in 2004 with blogger.com and I just got lazy to transfer the whole blog to other domain names.

THAT'S THE TRUTH.

Second example - I use blogger.com for my internet marketing blog. Followers might just follow that but the REAL REASON why I use this is because blogger.com was 'hot' when blogging starts and besides, I don't even know how to install Wordpress (WP) at that time. Then I never bother to move it to WP, which I might in the future, because I'm not using this blog for blogging purpose (RSS feeds, social bookmarking, search engine ranking and so on) or branding (look at the blog's design - it's not even unique!).

Final example - I use 3 variations of subject lines for the same email that I send out to you and my other subscribers. So followers would think that I'm up to something and they will ALSO have variations because they THINK it'll increase conversion, open rate or something. What they did not see is the technology we're doing at the back - to track and so on.

I could go on and on with examples how followers follow my stuff and I would chuckle because I know they don't get the whole picture and worse still, leading them to the wrong thing.

Okay, one more example (you can tell I'm sort of liking this) - If a follower copy my stuff and thinking that THIS IS IT, they're in for a big treat. For instance, one of my niche websites is www.boxerdogtips.com. Yeah, that's still making money today after 4 years (or 5 years?).

The thing is, I created that not to make money online. If it does, that's great, woo hoo. I did that because I wanted to prove to my customers at that time that it's POSSIBLE to make money online without being an expert or JV partners in a competitive niche market (dog training's competition is pretty fierce). Secondly, I need something to show as a credibility builder than revealing my long-term internet businesses that I want to keep it hush hush.

And lastly, it's a case study that I use for a product I've created many years ago called, The Online Niche Secrets Audio Course, OnlineNicheSecrets.com. (Don't buy, it's not update.)

To the extreme, I don't even mail to the thousands of subscribers I've built in that dog training list at all!

SO – if you're following that, you might make some money online but you're going to be misleaded big time and wonder why you cannot break your income ceiling.

In my case, what works are what I teach in my courses, coaching program and so on. Am I asking to buy my course? Do I have any order links here? No, right? Point stressed.

Most people try to be cheap and try to figure out on themselves- especially if they think they 'know' it all.

I've seen so many followers copying other guru's squeeze page, video style, etc - but do they really know what is going on?

Heck, maybe that Guru is just playing around and testing some stuff. It's not even the real thing.

Like now you can see doubleyourdating.com is not using a squeeze page anymore. So the followers will rush to start creating a 'content' style page for the main page but do they know what is this $20 million business latest strategy?

You see a world-class copywriter writes a salesletter and you copy that because you think it'll convert like crazy. But do you know what is the actual hook for the entire copy? And more importantly - how sure are you that it wasn't a flop salesletter?

You saw some great gurus launching their products and you follow their product launch. Are you sure you're getting the WHOLE PICTURE?

If there's a lesson to take away from today's sharing is don't assume in marketing – make sure you get the right source of information before you think it'll be a good idea to 'copy' or not.

And yes, COPY is a smart way of working less. I don't deny that. But there's a huge distinction in terms of copy and rip off. (smile)

When I say 'copy', I'm referring to market intelligence - know what your competitors are doing and how they do it to become so successful. Then see if you can do better or along that kind of line.

If you want to create the next Facebok, wouldn't it easier to 'spy' and 'copy' that concept than thinking a new idea? Unless you're Twitter, then I rest my case.

If you've find value in what you read today, please leave a Comment or feedback? Needless to say, I will definitely appreciate it because I read all Comments personally and gotten the chance to know you at the same time.

Patric Chan

-----

Sunday Email #38: How To Make More, Working Less

If you're new to my subscription and wondering what is a "Sunday Email", it's an email full of my rants, personal tips and opinions on marketing especially in the "internet marketing" niche. Cuts through like a ninja's blade. But come on, they're my rants. If I want to keep everyone happy and write about the colorful rainbow, birds chirping, flowers blooming, etc then I should just opens up a nursery home and take care of children.

So if you can relate to what I wrote when reading it-- good because I know it had just served the purpose of helping people.

One more thing-- it'll offend marketers. I hope you're not the one.

Re: How To Make More, Working Less

It's been a while since I write - I was busy updating the latest Chan Do Internet Success System. The latest version is being 'redesigned' to only show you the quickest way possible to make money online in niche markets. All I can say is, it rocks (self praise).

Also, I'm preparing a product launch in another niche market, the one that's not related to internet marketing.

This leads me to today's rant - I realized that there are hundreds of internet marketers today that are 'real'. Then there are THOUSANDS of marketers who are either scammers or wannabes.

Whatever ideas or strategies you're selling, it'll be everywhere before you know what happened.

I launched my 'site targeting' software called, CPMBidPro back in Dec 2008 for Adwords advertisers. You can see it at www.cpmbidpro.com. No, we don't do the 'usual' way of marketing like blasting to our list and so on - we have our own bags of tricks to sell it online.

Right now, there are 2 other new software which do the same stuff in the market - Placement Locator and Content Bully. As a matter of fact, they probably have more features than mine by now. I predict that more will come out soon because it's now being proved that this sort of software SELLS. Imagine if my sole business is trying to sell my software – I think I would be very stressful.

How about all of these ebooks which are authored by the mysterious X authors?

That is why Affiliate Black Book salesletter is so darn entertaining to read.

Are you sick and tired with that by now, with all of the X's?

Aren't there some creativity left?

Well, here's the thing - it works well in the beginning. Then all kinds of wannabes start following this approach. Honestly, I think it's a brilliant tactic - if you don't have the credibility to be in the internet marketing niche, what's better way to claim yourself to be some sort of 'underground' guru that makes a lot of money?

Then there are gazillion of ebooks telling you how to make money with Clickbank and plaster you with all of their Clickbank income screen shot (which are mostly fake anyway). LISTEN - do you really think there's still a SECRET left?

Making money online with Clickbank.com is almost the same as promoting any other affiliate products. Put it this way -- it's not the same, but it's the same concept.

What you should be learning is AFFILIATE MARKETING from those who make real money selling affiliate programs in all kinds of niches.

Unfortunately, there's no way you can find out whether what the phonies claims on their salesletters are true or not until you see their craps. Then it'll be too late – you've already wasted your time and money.

I still don't understand why many people still don't see the opportunity in niche markets. I mean, if you're more 'adventurous', then go for competitive niches like health, real estate, stock trading and so on niches. I'm sure there is a lot of money in those niches basing on the fact that you can create high-price products in those niches.

I know Greg Poulos of Profits Run, Inc. makes a killing selling info-products in the trading niche.

I don't think niches like those have countless numbers of gurus. Point made.

If you think that I'm telling you this because I'm scared of competitions, you truly need to think wider. First, I'm already in my comfort zone - I'll still be here regardless of competitions. Second, I'm telling you this because I know making money in niche markets work. And finally, even if that's my intention, that's the stupidest method to prevent competition because there are 100 more marketers encouraging people to be in the internet marketing niche. Think.

If you want to stick to the internet marketing niche because you're passionate about it, you think THIS IS where the money is or for whatever reason... well, you can still do this and make money.

But not by coming up with another 'how to make money from Adwords,Clickbank or blogging' product again. If it's nothing out-of-this-world, I think the community really doesn't need to have another one.

Let's say you want to teach someone how to make money online from blogging, I'm sure there's a blogging course that you've learned from (otherwise, how did you learn blogging in the first place?). So why not just be an affiliate and promote that course?

You still make money and you don't need to rip off someone's information and call it yours. And you gain RESPECT.

Then when you're ready, come up with your own super duper course.

Whether you want to be in niche markets or the internet marketing niche, there's one thing that will ensure greater success - POSITIONING.

You have to be unique than the rest, too much noise out there. For instance, there are many internet marketing authors called themselves X's, but there's only one X that people listen when he speaks. There are many people teaching blogging, but there are only a handful of the go-to guys and gals. Same goes with social marketing - only 2-3 guys who have positioned themselves successfully. You get the idea.

A lot people don't understand this. They are not strategic thinker and are limited to only what they know (marketing in just one niche with one approach). If you just spend your time to build your brand, you'll work less and earn more. With a brand, more affiliates will promote you, people start to like buying your product and your list pays more attention to what you have to say.

Oprah Winfrey can sell anything under the Sun because she's 'branded'. Make sense?

If you've find value in what you read today, please leave a Comment or feedback? Needless to say, I will definitely appreciate it because I read all Comments personally and gotten the chance to know you at the same time.

Patric Chan

-----

HURRY, THIS WILL NEVER BE REPEATED AGAIN

I would not be doing any 'product launch' for my latest 2009 version of the Chan Do Internet Success System because something happened to me recently that is very personal.

Therefore, I'm going to change my goal to help others as much as I can - instead of just thinking of making money for myself.

If you ever wish to have an info-product internet business that can give you the 'internet lifestyle', I strongly believe that you wouldn't want to miss this ONE TIME opportunity:

http://www.youchandoit.com/2009.html

You "Chan" Do It!

Patric Chan

---

Get Ideas From Bestselling Products To Create Your Own

Rule 101 before you go and create your own product...

● Research your market to find out what type of product you can create that will sell off the shelves easily.

● Collect hot buttons for your product - what make them sell.

● Outline your product creation

You want to think like a good marketer when outlining what product you're going to create - you don't want to be an inventor. Instead, find a product that's selling well and understand why it's a hot product.

If you don't, you'll find several hours, weeks, or even months were wasted. It won't sell well. No matter what you think. I've been there and done that.

Your product's not going to sell well unless the market is already looking for it. What I mean is that the market already has an idea of what they want in a product. They're already buying products like these. It's very fundamental (but not as common as it should be) in marketing to simply supply your market's demand. That's all it comes down to. The best-selling products are supplying the market's demand.

Make A List Of Hot Buttons

When you have an idea of the type of product that's going to sell like crazy, it's time to follow the sales messages of the best-selling products.

The fun part is, you know what type of marketing messages sell well because of the best-sellers marketing strategies are very transparent. For instance, you can see its salesletter publicly and how he'll follow up with his prospects.

Just like your product creation, you don't want to reinvent the wheel with your sales message. You want to make a list of all these "hot buttons". This is sometimes called "swiping" in copywriting, and it's totally normal but make sure you don't violate copyright in anyway. You simply want to take what's underneath the words and put them in your own words.

Let's analyze the sales page for a hot selling info product called Jamorama.com. Let's say you got Jamorama and you're wanting to create a product like it, but better. You also want to the sales message. For example...

The headline tells me that it's very appealing for this market to be able to play guitar like some of the most well-known names. You definitely want to add this appeal in YOUR sales message too. But WITHOUT infringing on copyright. You must use the same hot buttons, but in your own words.

Check out this first sentence in this opening paragraph. It talks about having the ability to play virtually every song you hear. If you were creating a similar guitar product, you would list that as a hot button that you'll need to add to your sales message too.

Take a look at the top of this page. You'll probably need to make a similar case. And explain that your approach solves this problem. Because if it's on this great sales page, then it must be a big concern for the target market.

Most importantly, you want to make sure you fulfill these hot buttons in your product.

But for your own product, you need to have your own credibility - making you different as a 'character' to your prospects but using the same hot buttons.

Your credibility:

● Establish some credibility before sales talk, or else your prospect never listen. This can be done by introducing yourself briefly with your credentials. Or you could start by firing a couple specific testimonials or endorsements. Although underused, the testimonial headline is very powerful.

● Use specifics throughout your copy to gain trust and confidence. Because they are believable. For example, your former client didn't lose over 100 pounds. She lost 106 pounds.

● Give away a lot of information, prove you know your subject, establish yourself as an expert, and you'll gain trust and confidence.

● Endorsements from experts rocket your credibility.

● Specific results-oriented testimonials from past customers rocket your credibility even more.

● Never try to fool your reader or else you'll lose credibility. And prospects are smarter than you.

● Position yourself as a specialist in your niche.

● Your sincerity, enthusiasm, and leadership add to your prospect's confidence in you.

Can't write but got some money to invest?

If you're not much of a writer or a speaker, you can still have your own original ebook. Although expensive, the software "Dragon Naturally Speaking" at www.nuance.com/naturallyspeaking/ allows you to talk into a microphone as it automatically types out the words for you.

This is good if:

● You can't write

● You enjoy talking more than writing, yet you don't have good enough public speaking skills to record and sell mp3s.

It's also amazing how fast you can pump out an entire ebook. One hour of talking into a microphone normally contains enough content to fill an entire ebook.

Software's pretty cool eh? :-)

If you like what you read from this post, please feel free to leave a Comment.

Patric Chan

P.S: Tomorrow, I'll be making an announcement about a recent change of plan that I have about the Chan Do Internet Success System.

====

A really good report for free

You've heard of stories how marketers are making $10,000, $50,000 and so on and wondered why that's not happening to you?

Marketers teach you all kinds of strategies but they don't let you understand what you're missing and the real 'secrets' to internet wea1th that they know of.

For example, a marketer teaches you about how to get traff1c from the search engines but in reality, he doesn't promotes his course in the search engines but use joint ventures!

That's not wrong, but wouldn't it be helpful if he'll tell you the 'secret' to traffic - which is actually using joint venture partners?

I hope you get the point. There are a few key things you need to know if you want to start building a profitable internet business.

I could charge $27 for my report below, but I'm going to give you my new "Leverage Internet Marketing" report for FREE.

And I'm not even going to ask you to subscribe to anything or upsell you to buy any stuff. The report is also not a disguise to tease you to buy bigger package - I'll tell you when I'm doing this.

One more thing - you get the RESALE RIGHTS to this report to do whatever you want with it as long as nothing's being modified inside it. Se1l it, give it away at your squeeze page, add to a membership, whatever.

Download it with the resale rights by clicking here

Why I'm doing this?

If it doesn't come across obvious, it's simply a way to add value o my subscribers so that they'll look forward to check my emails.

You "Chan" Do It!

Patric Chan
www.youchandoit.com

--

Sunday Email #37: Don't Care About Them

If you're new to my subscription and wondering what is a "Sunday Email", it's an email full of my rants, personal tips and opinions on marketing especially in the "internet marketing" niche. Sometimes, opinions on life. Whatever it is... it'll give you value after spending time reading it. To make sure you won't miss any future issue, subscriber for free at http://www.sundayemail.com.

You know-- sometimes my Sunday Emails can be harshed.

Re: Don't Care About Them

Let's get this straight - your mailing list is the MOST IMPORTANT asset of your entire business. If you're new to this internet marketing game, you probably won't understand what I mean and THAT'S FINE. So let me simply explain it this way-- how you end up reading this blog is probably because you're my subscribed to my list. I have a list and whenever I need to reach out to you to tell something or to sell a product, I can email you.

And if you don't know how to build your own list or still struggling to get one, then the best I can do is to recommend you LIST PROFIT System - very affordable and packed with great step-by-step content. I don't get rich selling you that. Or you can look around and buy those hundreds of dollars courses available out there. Your choice.

For those who have a mailing or going to have one will understand today's rant.

Do you feel 'guilty' when you're selling to your list?

I don't.

Why do you build a list in the first place? If you say that your purpose is help people, that's great. And I hope your subscribers help you too or else I don't know how you're going to live by working without income.

I build my list because I want to make money. You think that's a hash truth? If you like to listen to an internet marketer that will say the things that you want to hear but not the truth – go ahead. Plenty of them out there.

The relationship you have with your subscribers is very easily defined - they know you're going to sell to them and they'll be cool with that as long as you play your part right. If they're not cool, then you're in big trouble bucko.

Well, playing your part right simply means that you'll make sure that you'll only sell good stuff to them and balance up your selling. Sell some, give some (but got to be real value content). You can't expect to be selling the crap out of your subscribers everyday (although some marketers will disagree with me by showing how much they make by daily mailout).

If your subscriber complains that you're selling too much, then you should see what you've been promoting lately. And if you KNOW FOR SURE that you're not overdoing it, then you should just ask your subscriber to unsubscribe.

If your purpose is to make money from your list but this subscriber is not going to buy but keep on continue to complain about your emails - DUDE - what were you thinking to 'keep' this fella?

You want them to buy. Like I said, it's a simple relationship – you give value and in return, you expect to be rewarded for your effort. And if your list won't buy, then they're not 'showing you some love'.

But sometimes – it's not their fault because you're AFRAID TO SELL. You didn't email them often enough.

You're afraid that they'll be unhappy or upset.

Trust me, you can't make everyone on your list happy all of the time.

You're afraid that they'll unsubscribe.

Err... well... so? They don't see you're providing value so might as well they don't stay in your list.

You're afraid that they'll scold you.

Come on. Those people who scold you in emails are COWARDS. I'll tell you why - if they're your neighbors that you see every morning, do you think they'll still post nasty comments on your blog or send you hate emails? (smile) They're doing that because they can cowardly hide behind their computers. To me, I don't talk to cowards.

You're afraid they don't have any money left.

You know, it'll be kinda an insult to your subscribers if you don't even have the confidence that they know how to think whether the offer is suitable for them or not. The same subscriber won't buy everything you sell!

On the selfish point of view, if you don't sell, they're going to buy from someone else's anyway. Meaning, someone's gonna make that money, so why not be you if you think you deserve it?

If you've a list, don't feel bad to promote to them.

And if you don't - make sure you DO promote to your list when you got one.

Be bold.

Be daring.

And most importantly, be profitable.

If you've find value in what you read today, please leave a Comment or feedback? Needless to say, I will definitely appreciate it because I read all Comments personally and gotten the chance to know you at the same time.

Patric Chan
www.InstantSaleSecrets.com

-----

Effective List Building Strategy

This is one of my favorite long term ways to build my lists on autopilot. What you do is create a PDF report with giveaway rights (and resell rights if you like). If you look around, it wouldn't be hard to find an existing giveaway promotion. Like this month, I'm participating in 777SelfHelp to build my list.

Once your report is out, other internet marketers pass it along throughout the internet to their lists because you have a good report (make sure the report contains some of the best information you know).

At the end of this report will be a free offer that leads to one of your squeeze pages.

You'll find you get 20 subs here and 20 subs there. That's powerful. Because you just take a few hours to write a report, get it in the hands of a few people, and it can spread throughout the net like a virus with no more work on your part.

Another benefit of using viral reports to build your list is that doing this is much like article marketing (except without slaving away to dominate Google). Here's what I mean: Readers of your report become your subscribers. This is much like a reader of an article becoming your subscriber. The report sells yourself and plants your level of expertise into the reader's mind. In a way, it pre-sells whatever you're selling.

Using viral reports to build your list is different than setting up a squeeze page, getting a subscriber, convincing them that you're credible, then selling to them.

Instead, your report convinces the prospect that you're credible, then they opt-in on your squeeze page, then they buy. Before they even read your first e-mail, you've already built at least some level of trust in you because of the expert information within the report.

If you want to use viral reports to build your list, then simply:

1. Write a short, amazing report with giveaway rights and make sure to put a link to your squeeze page at the end of the report.. Give away your best information so that readers of the report will feel inspired to pass it on (give away the type of secrets you only discover in high dollar courses).

2. Get the report into the hands of your current subscribers/JV partners/others and watch it go viral.

If you want to make it easier to be spread, then just allow your affiliates and JV partners to brand the report with their affiliate link to your product.

How To Write Your Report In 24 Hours Or Less?

I'll give you fast start tactics to creating your very own report and some of these tactics will literally enable you to do this in 24 hours or less. Your report should have these characteristics:

i) Short and sweet, between 3-20 pages, not more
You'd want to hold the attention of your readers, so being too draggy will discourage that. And if they decide to close and read it another time, you can be 90% sure that never happens.

ii) Tightly themed around the topic you had decided on

iii) A great title
The title must convey strong emotion, benefits and command instant attention.

With that said, here's a 2-step guideline to get you started in creating your report:

1. Create A Template

The easiest way to begin is by creating an outline, or standard template, which you can use for unlimited reports.

Begin your outline with an 'Introduction'. It's the best opportunity to introduce yourself and inform readers exactly what they can get out of the report.

The next step will be to either create a Table of Contents.

Make sure your chapter titles are descriptive and 'attention grabbing' too. This is a good way to ensure your ebooks get READ!

Finally, include a 'final word' or conclusion.

Here's a simple format based on the above you can model on:

Introduction

Table Of Contents

Chapter One

Chapter Two

Chapter Three

Conclusion

2. Get content fast

This is the most tedious and for many, scary part. But don't worry you'll be filling your report with content in no time flat. The challenge would be to create or get relevant content fast.

You can get content related to what your market wants quickly by using what's already available!

The following are 4 powerful techniques in generating instant report content:

- Compiling Offline News

Write a quick report or commentary on important issues related to your market that you've read offline. For example, a piece on search engine news in the tech section of your local newspaper, or a good magazine write-up in 'Entrepreneurs'.

I'm NOT advocating 'copying' content; instead use them as a guide or framework for a commentary in your own words.

A quick way to use this method: Look at various recent magazines of the same niche and grab ideas off them. Try doing this at your local library where it's quiet and relaxing. To do something of this nature online, you can visit news site of your targeted market. For instance, try www.internetnews.com for IT niche market.

- Outsourcing

Another way to create content is simply to outsource it, be it free or paid.

A popular method to create products used by many 'writers' would be to engage 'ghostwriters'. Ghostwriters are behind-the-scenes writers who will create a product (book, article, etc.) for you for a fee.

The advantage is you retain the copyright and get to put your name on the finished product as if it's your own - becoming an instant writer in this way.

While I'm not sure you'd want to use this approach for reports, it's an option you can consider. Try looking for quality 'ghostwriters' at www.elance.com and www.guru.com.

A much 'cheaper' method of outsourcing your writing is by Joint Ventures.

This is a commonly used approach to creating reports on the fly. Send a polite email to experts asking for help and contribution. This can be in the forms of short interviews with these experts.

Or co-author with an expert and give them a promotion in the report as well. This will need some ironing out but the advantages are obvious, especially if the people you approach are famous. You get an instant boost to your business and name.

Not all will reply and help you out.

- Forums

This resource is a fast way of getting contributing writers for your report. Post a request in your favorite forums. You'll be surprised at the positive responses received. The respond rate will increase if the forums are active and highly participated.

Offer people an attractive incentive to help you. This could be anything from a link to their website or valuable bonus (products, resale packages, free ads, etc.).

- Public Domain Information

Public domain information can be classified as copyright-free works that is available for the public to grab and use. This includes text, books, images, music, etc. They may fall into either of these categories:

i. Information and figures from the government and it's agencies

ii. Publicly available materials donated by writers and contributors, or

iii. Works which becomes public information due to loss of copyrights

In general works that are created before 1923 is in the public domain now. Those created between 1924 and 1963 is in the public domain unless the copyright was renewed (and mostly they're not renewed).

How can you create mini ebooks using public domain?

You can simply modify and re-compile them into your own! Some creativity and planning may be required here, but anything you modify from the public domain automatically gives you a copyright on the modified version (with enough modications), lasting 50 years after your death.

The easiest way to find public domain information is to type in 'public domain' as search terms into any search engine.

Or try "Project Gutenberg" which is an amazing archive of thousands public domain books you can grab instantly at www.gutenberg.org.

If you like what you read from this post, please feel free to leave a Comment.

-Patric Chan
www.youchandoit.com

====

Candid Video With Simon Leung and Patric Chan On Google Adwords Tips

A few days ago, Simon Leung the well-known Google Adwords expert was with me to discuss our business ventures.

SO, I asked him if he's cool to share some valuable Adwords 'secrets' for my loyal subscribers and he's cool with that.

Sidebar: You can find out about Google Adwords at www.google.com/adwords

I've put up the video for you to watch here, 100% pure content.
