Grandpa's Wink

2010-04-02T22:19:00.000-04:00

My grandpa died when I was 12. At 12 I didn't know how much I was going to miss him later in life. I often wonder what he would think of me now, what he would think of my husband, and most importantly what he would think of my daughter. He was a wonderful man, and he was alot of why my mom's side of the family is close. I remember he had this bank that sat in the living room. My cousins and I

A quick update

2010-04-02T19:55:00.001-04:00

Its been a while. We've been pretty busy lately. We went up to MI at the beginning of March for my cousins wedding. It was beautiful. I don't think I've ever seen her this happy. And I am truly happy for the both of them and wish them tons of well wishes. While we were in MI we also had Aubree's 2nd birthday party. She had a BLAST! She loves playing with her cousins. My sister, Jenn, begged me

Scotch Fur Fighter

2010-02-26T13:09:00.000-05:00

I bought this at Target last week, I had a coupon and I think i got it for about .99 cents. I have 2 black cats and figured I'll give it a shot. Our vacuum cleaner sucks (or doesnt suck I suppose) so I learned not to even bother trying to clean our couch with that. I'm seriously amazed at the amount of fur this thing pulled off my couch, its rather disgusting really. My husband has this chair

HELP!

2010-02-23T17:00:00.001-05:00

Okay veteran bloggers, I need your help. I have been trying since I started my blog to get the Following Gadget to work. I've tried everything I can think of. Anyone have any ideas for me? Thanks! UPDATE! So I removed the question mark from my blog title and it magically started working. Weird. Very Weird.

Oh lovely.

2010-02-23T12:07:00.002-05:00

Sunday morning Aubree came and woke us up at 5:30am. Luckily Adam had fell asleep really early and decided to get up with her. I guess she fell asleep on the couch with him while watching Mickey. Adam told me that sometimes she would quit breathing while she was sleeping for just a second or two, kinda like sleep apnea. Which kinda freaked me out. So yesterday I called her doctor to see if they

I'm addicted

2010-02-17T16:29:00.001-05:00

I've been working on my grocery list this morning. Its a weekly task that I usually complete during nap time. I compare Publix and Kroger weekly ads and decide which of them has the things we need on sale. Then I go through the fridge and pantry to find the things that we need. Theres somethings that we need whether they are on sale or not, these always go on the top of my list. I use two

Who needs a rooster when you have a toddler?

2010-02-16T00:04:00.001-05:00

Aubree made yet another milestone last night. She slept in her big girl bed. The actual bed frame wont be here until later this week, but we found a really good deal on a twin mattress set. I couldn't wait to have her sleep in her big girl bed. With kids you are so excited to have them meet milestones, you completely forget how much life changes once they are reached. There are days I wish she

Yummy Pumpkin Spice Cookies

2010-01-27T21:31:00.001-05:00

I just polished off the raspberry danish that I bought only yesterday. Seriously, being a SAHM is taking a toll on my figure! I need to find some healthier things to snack on. I remember when my mom was doing Weight Watchers she used to make these cookies that I loved. I knew they were super simple to make, she never makes anything that takes alot of work. So I google'd them. They are called "

Keeping our fingers crossed

Last night Adam received a discouraging email from the PowerGen Manager at the Traverse City, MI branch. They have slowed down and will not be filling the empty position. Darn. But he did say that the Grand Rapids branch was looking for somebody and that he had forwarded Adam's information to them. Adam decided to call them to make sure they had received the information and just to talk to them

Its on!

My MIL called me this morning to tell me that the clubhouse where her friend lives was indeed available on March 7th! Aubree's 2nd birthday party is officially a go! Now to start getting to the details. I'm starting to remember how hard it was to plan our wedding from out of state, hopefully this isn't nearly as difficult. Our theme is Minnie Mouse. Surprise, surprise. I have most everything

Lets get this ball rolling!

2010-01-25T18:32:00.001-05:00

Yesterday Adam, Aubree and I went shopping for beds. Aubree is turning 2 in less than 2 months and we are getting her a big girl bed with some of our tax money. I think we went to 5 stores all together (plus a stop a toys-r-us because when your that close to one you just have to stop). I had no idea a bed, mattress, dresser, and a mirror was going to set us back close to a grand! We did picked
