Some animals have sharp teeth, some have fragile wings, some are predators, some chew on grass, but they all need to survive. Even if harder to believe, some carnivores can be extinct pretty fast, if they don’t find an “intelligent” method of hunting.

On the other hand, small animals with poor defense mechanisms need to find a smart way of surviving and hiding. Nature has found the solution to all these and it is called “camouflage”. That’s the ability of transforming yourself or adapting to the environment you live in, in such a way that you become a contained part of it, that others barely notice you. In one way of another, most of the animals have developed such a skill and they easily trick the eye.

2.- Giant George, The World’s Largest Dog.

Meet George. Giant George, that is. This blue Great Dane is, quite possibly, the largest dog in the world. Yes, even larger than Boomer the Molosser, the previous largest dog in the world. This big beast is 7 feet, 3 inches long, 43 inches tall at the shoulder, and weighs an impressive 245 pounds! Every month, owners David and Christine Nasser feed George 110 pounds of dog food, and he sleeps in his very own Queen-sized bed. The couple have had George since he was 7 weeks old, and he’s definitely eating them out of house and home!

Some friends of mine have a Great Dane they’ve named Pennyroyal, and it’s the smartest, quietest, most gentle-natured dog I’ve ever had any dealings with. Great Danes are absolutely beautiful dogs, and that blue color is just gorgeous. I have no doubt that George is just as sweet as their dog, even if he does make Pen look like a puppy!

A meerkat clan often contains about 20 meerkats, but some superfamilies have 50 or more members. Meerkats have an average life span of 12-14 years.
Meerkats are primarily insectivores, but also eat lizards, snakes, scorpions, spiders, plants, eggs, small mammals, millipedes, centipedes and, more rarely, small birds.

Aye-aye
The Aye-aye (Daubentonia madagascariensis) is a strepsirrhine native to Madagascar that combines rodent-like teeth with a long, thin middle finger to fill the same ecological niche as a woodpecker. It is the world’s largest nocturnal primate, and is characterized by its unique method of finding food; it taps on trees to find grubs, then gnaws holes in the wood and inserts its elongated middle finger to pull the grubs out.
The Aye-aye is the world’s largest nocturnal primate, and dwells predominantly in forest canopies. It weighs about 2.5 kilograms, with the female weighing in slightly less (by an average of 100 grams) than males. Other than weight and sex organs, aye-ayes exhibit no sexual dimorphism of any kind. They all grow from 30-37 cm from head to body, with a 44-53 cm tail.

10.- Mimic Octopus, this fascinating creature was discovered in 1998 off the coast of Sulawesi in Indonesia.

The Mimic Octopus, Thaumoctopus mimicus, is a species of octopus that has a strong ability to mimic other creatures. It grows up to 60 cm (2 feet) in length. Its normal colouring consists of brown and white stripes or spots. Living in the tropical seas of South East Asia, it was not discovered officially until 1998, off the coast of Sulawesi. The octopus mimics the physical likeness and movements of more than fifteen different species, including sea snakes, lionfish, flatfish, brittle stars, giant crabs, sea shells, stingrays, flounders, jellyfish, sea anemones, and mantis shrimp. It accomplishes this by contorting its body and arms, and changing colour.
Although all octopuses can change colour and texture, and many can blend with the sea floor, appearing as rocks, the mimic octopus is the first octopus species ever observed to impersonate other animals.

In this infographic, the eyes have it! Most people are aware that cats and dogs don’t see quite the way humans do.

For instance, people see more colors whereas dogs and cats tend to see colors more dull though they are also more sensitive to things like movement in the darkness. And what about other types of animals? Well, this interesting infographic, from Mezzmer, covers a range of animals from snakes and horses to sharks and birds.

Escher, the artist of metaphysical dreams, creator of impossible worlds.

Sure you have seen any of his prints and drawings, and if not it's time you do. Escher is an artist creating impossible worlds where objects are math and evoke landscapes.

MC Escher is a great artist noted for his drawings, engravings in stone or wood. That paltry limits reproduced to small details. Highlighting both its great technique and the originality of many of us jobs.

Maurits Cornelis Escher (Leeuwarden, The Netherlands, June 17, 1898 - Hilversum, Netherlands, March 27, 1972), better known as MC Escher was a Dutch artist known for his wood engravings, woodcuts and lithographs dealing with figures impossible, tessellations and imaginary worlds.

Her work experiments with different methods of representing (in drawings of 2 or 3 dimensions) paradoxical spaces that challenge common modes of representation.

Throughout his career he made over 400 lithographs and woodcuts, and some 2,000 drawings and drafts. In many there are dozens of plays, hundreds and even thousands of others. At the end of his career destroyed some of the plates for not conducting more reproductions of originals. There are also studies and drafts of many of his works, sometimes also several versions of some of them. Many of his works were sold off shortly after his death and are spread throughout the world. An important group is exposed permanently in the Escher Museum in The Hague, Netherlands.

As an artist, MC Escher is difficult to classify. There have been many interpretations of his works, but the reality is that Escher had no great pretensions or transmit messages, but basically embodied what he liked. No work based on feelings, like other artists, but simply in situations, solutions to problems, visual games and winks to the viewer. Visions sometimes befell him at night, which passed through his imagination and he thought worthy of being captured in his paintings.

He himself would recognize that not very interested in reality or humanity in general, people or psychology, but only the things that went through his head. In a way it was someone introverted treatment even say difficult, he preferred to create his own universe.

Handiwork: Japanese artist Nagai Hideyuki creates there realistic 3-D drawings just by using his pencils, sketchbooks and his eye for detail

Trompe l'oeil: Hideyuki says he is inspired by English artist Julian Beever's street art, which he does in chalk on pavements

Fresh perspective: Hideyuki uses unusual angles to make drawings that pop off the page, like this seated gremlin

Hideyuki, 21, from Japan, uses just his pencil to conjure up amazing sketches that fool the brain.

His ability to draw so well in three-dimensions came from the restrictions on street artists in Japan. He wanted to work to resemble street art that pops out from walls.

He was inspired by a technique known professionally as anamorphosis as used by British artist Julian Beever who creates similarly elaborate 'three-dimensional' work when viewed from the right angle on pavements using chalk.

Because of stricter laws in Japan, Hideyuki has been restricted to the confines of his sketchbook but it has not stopped him making equally impressive artwork, letting his imagination run riot with everything from gremlins to trains to gaping mouths.

These eye-popping two-dimensional sketches look as though they are about to leap off the page thanks to Japanese artist Nagai Hideyuki's clever pencil work.

Hideyuki, 21, creates tricks of perspective by playing with where light and shadows would fall if the object really were coming out to meet you.

Once propped against a wall these vivid optical illusions work perfectly to create a trompe l'oeil effects.

Morocco has a population of over 32 million and an area of 446,550 km2 (172,410 sq mi); if Western Sahara is included that would be 710,850 km2 (274,460 sq mi).

The political capital is Rabat, although the largest city is Casablanca; other major cities include Marrakech, Tangier, Tetouan, Salé, Fes, Agadir, Meknes, Oujda, Kenitra, and Nador. Morocco has a history of independence not shared by its neighbours. Its rich culture is a blend of Arab, Berber (indigenous African) and also other African and European influences.

Morocco administers most of the disputed region of the Western Sahara as the Southern Provinces. The status of Western Sahara remains unresolved. Morocco annexed the territory in 1975 and a guerrilla war with pro-independence forces ended in 1991. U.N. efforts have failed to break the political deadlock.

Morocco is a constitutional monarchy with an elected parliament. The King of Morocco holds vast executive and legislative powers, including the power to dissolve the parliament.

Executive power is exercised by the government but the king's decisions usually override those of the government if there is a contradiction. Legislative power is vested in both the government and the two chambers of parliament, the Assembly of Representatives and the Assembly of Councillors. The king can also issue decrees called dahirs which have the force of law.

The main religion is Islam. The official language is Literary Arabic. Moroccan Arabic referred to as Dareja, Berber and French are also spoken. Hassaniya Arabic, sometimes considered a variety of Moroccan Arabic, is spoken in parts of the southern provinces (Western Sahara).

Zdzisław Beksinski is a gothic genre artist
(February 24, 1929, Sanok, Poland - February 21, 2005, Warsaw, Poland) was a renowned painter, photographer and sculptor Polish. He executed his drawings and paintings of a genre he called Baroque or Gothic.

The first style is dominated by representation, the best examples come from his Fantastic Realism period when he painted a distorted picture surreal atmosphere and nightmares. The second style is more abstract, being dominated by form, and is typified by the late paintings of Beksínski.Fue a renowned painter, photographer and sculptor Polish.
He executed his drawings and paintings of a genre he called Baroque or Gothic.

Although Beksinski's art was often grim, it was known as a nice person who liked to talk and he possessed a keen sense of humor.

It was exceptionally modest and somewhat shy, avoided public events such as the opening of their own exhibitions. He gave credit to the music as the main source of his inspiration.

He claimed not to be too influenced by literature, cinema or the work of other artists, and almost never visited museums or exhibitions. Beksinski avoided analyzing the content of his work and was especially dismissive of those who tried or offered simple answers to what this meant.

Kjerag mountain, a hiking destination with spectacular drops.

Kjerag or Kiragg is a Norwegian mountain, located in Lysefjorden, in Forsand municipality, Ryfylke, Rogaland. Its highest point is 1110 m above sea level, but its northern drop to Lysefjorden attracts most visitors. The drop is 984 m (3,228 ft) and it is also the site of Kjeragbolten, a 5 m³ stone located between two rocks.

Kjerag is a popular hiking destination. Some go there because Preikestolen has become too crowded, some to jump onto Kjeragbolten and some BASE jumpers from all over the world go there to dive off the high cliffs. Kjerag is also a popular climbing destination, with many difficult routes going up its steep faces.

The easiest ascent starts from the visitors center Øygardsstølen, with a 2.5-3-hour walk each way. From Stavanger, it is roughly a 2-hour drive (closed in winter season). One can also take the tourist ferry from Lauvvik to Lysebotn in summer. The best season for walking is considered late June to September depending on snow conditions.

Kjeragbolten is a 5 m³ boulder wedged in a mountain crevasse by the edge of the Kjerag mountain (59°2′0.83″N 6°35′32.79″E). It is possible to walk onto the rock without any equipment, but there is a direct 241 m drop below and then another 735m gradient down to Lysefjorden. The name means "Kjerag Boulder" or "Kjerag Bolt".

At 1084 metres, Kjerag towers above the other peaks along the Lysefjord. It has been traditional to admire this mountain face from the fjord, but in recent years, it has become increasingly popular to walk up the path to the plateau. Most people are happy just to enjoy the view of the Lysefjord from the plateau itself, but for some hikers, the climax of the excursion is to be photographed on the Kjeragbolten, a round rock wedged solidly in a mountain crevice. Kjerag has also become a popular attraction for mountain climbers and base jumpers.

There is information and WC at Øygardsstøl. Open during the summer. Paid parking. Kjerag is also impressive seen from the fjord, from a ferry or a sightseeing boat.
To get to Øygardstøl, take the ferry to Lysebotn and continue by car, or drive there via Sirdalen (this road is closed in the winter).

The hike starts at Øygardstøl south of the Lysefjord by the Lysevegen road above Lysebotn. This demanding trail traverses several ridges, and climbs 570 metres. To avoid wear and tear and accidents, please use the marked trail. Remember solid walking shoes/boots, warm clothes and food. This path is part of the Stavanger Mountain Touring Association's trail network. 2,5-3 hours from Øygardstøl to Kjerag (one way).

On the Kjerag mountain there is a certain place near the summit where a noise similar to a pistol shot may be heard, and is even accompanied by what appeares to be smoke. According to the older generation here, this is a natural phenomenon which occurs especially when the wind is in the east and blows with a certain force.The cause of this is uncertain but the village-folk in earlier times meant that it was water which was forced out of the rocks.

Our unique animals are one of the many reasons people visit our country. Australia has more than 378 mammal species, 828 bird species, 4000 fish species, 300 species of lizards, 140 snake species, two crocodile species and around 50 types of marine mammal.

More than 80 per cent of our plants, mammals, reptiles and frogs are unique to Australia and are found no-where else. Some of our best-known animals are the kangaroo, koala, echidna, dingo, platypus, wallaby and wombat.

Australia’s native animals can often be difficult to spot in the wild, but you are guaranteed to see them in our world-class zoos and wildlife parks across our major cities and regional areas. These include Sydney’s Taronga Zoo, the Rainforest Habitat in Port Douglas, Victoria’s Healesville Sanctuary, South Australia’s Cleland Wildlife Park and Queensland’s Australia Zoo, amongst others.

Marsupials.

Australia has more than 140 species of marsupials, including kangaroos, wallabies, koalas, and wombats.

We have 55 different native species of kangaroos and wallabies. Kangaroos and wallabies vary greatly in size and weight, ranging from half a kilogram to 90 kilograms.

The main difference between them is size — wallabies tend to be smaller. Estimates of Australia’s kangaroo population vary between 30 and 60 million. You should easily be able to see kangaroos in the wild in most rural parts of Australia. In Victoria see them in Anglesea on the Great Ocean Road and in the Grampians. Spot them in South Australia’s Kangaroo Island and Flinders Ranges. Get up close in Namadgi and Kosciuszko National Parks in the Australian Alps, in Pebbly Beach in New South Wales and Tasmania’s Maria Island. In outback regions, you will often see them as they bound across the road. Wallabies are widespread across Australia, particularly in more remote, rocky and rugged areas. Spot them in South Australia’s Flinders Ranges, Tasmania’s Freycinet National Park and in Namadgi and Kosciuszko National Parks in the Australian Alps.

The koala is everyone’s favourite, but be aware – it’s not a bear. You can spot koalas all along Australia’s temperate eastern coast. Some of their top hangouts include Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve, near Canberra; Port Stephens in New South Wales and the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Queensland. Observe them in the wild on Victoria’s Phillip Island and Yanchep National Park in Western Australia.

The wombat is another creature you’ll find here – stout, burrowing animals that can weigh up to 36 kilograms. Again they are difficult to see in the wild, but some of the best places are the Blue Mountains National Park and Kosciuszko National Park in New South Wales, Wilsons Promontory in Victoria, Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair in Tasmania, and in national parks in South Australia.

Our unique animals are one of the many reasons people visit our country. Australia has more than 378 mammal species, 828 bird species, 4000 fish species, 300 species of lizards, 140 snake species, two crocodile species and around 50 types of marine mammal.

Mammals.

Australia doesn’t have large predatory animals, the dingo, or wild dog, is our largest carnivorous mammal. Other unique carnivorous animals include the Numbat, Quoll and Tasmanian Devil, but none of these are larger than the size of an average house cat.

Dingoes are found all across Australia, except for Tasmania. Best places to see them are Queensland’s Fraser Island, Western Australia’s Kimberley and across the deserts of the Northern Territory and South Australia. Numbats are only found in Western Australia; and apart from wildlife parks, you can only see Tasmanian Devils in the wild in Tasmania. Endangered Quolls are also difficult to spot in the wild, but inhabit the wet forests of southeastern Australia and Tasmania, and a small area of northern Queensland. The bilby, a member of the bandicoot family, may be seen in Francois Peron National Park in Western Australia.

Critically acclaimed tattoo artist, Scott Campbell, recently showed his work at the O.H.W.O.W. gallery in Miami, FL.

The highlight of the evening was a series of laser-cut etchings, each on a stack of $1 bills. The collection is entitled â€œMake It Rainâ€ and shows a sampling of the artistâ€™s dark and beautiful undertones.

Scott Campbell is known throughout the world as being one of the most talented hands in the world of tattooing. After abandoning a career as a biochemist at the University of Texas, he fled to San Francisco, and began tattooing. He learned the craft at Picture Machine, one of the oldest shops in California, rich with stories and nicotine stained flash on the walls from it's heyday in the 60's and 70's. He now owns and operates the legendary Saved Tattoo in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, whose client list includes New York's art and design elite, fashion designers such as Marc Jacobs, and a long roster of celebrities including Heath Ledger, Josh Hartnett, Orlando Bloom, Helena Christensen, and Penelope Cruz.

In recent years, he has gained much acclaim from fine art communities worldwide for his work in mediums other than skin, including intricately carved sculptures made out of US currency, a series of watercolor paintings based on his experiences during a 6 week stay in a maximum security prison in Mexico City, and graphite drawings done on the insides of eggshells. Campbell has only shown in galleries for a few years, but his work is already seen in some of the most revered collections and museums worldwide. He is celebrated as one of the brightest new voices in the New York art scene.

In March 2011, Dentsu formed an official partnership with Facebook Inc. to help develop Facebook pages, Facebook ads, and marketing strategies in general.

The partnership also provides Dentsu with premium advertising space on Facebook.

The Province of Jujuy is an ideal destination for wild bird watching (Birdwatching) in Argentina.

With an area of 53,219 km2, Jujuy is the northernmost province of the country, bordering the neighboring countries of Chile and Bolivia.
Due to its geographical location, forming part of the Central Andes and the Tropic of Capricorn (approx. 23 ° S), Jujuy is characterized by a very marked altitudinal gradient in a few kilometers, passing the Chaco plains (below 400 m) to the east, to the high peaks of the Andes (almost 6000 meters) on the west.

These features have allowed the development of an unusual variety of climates and living areas, representing three large South American biogeographic domains: the Chaco (Chaco Salta and Chaco Serrano), the Amazon (Yungas) and the Andean-Patagonian (Pre Puna and Puna), which together are home to countless forms of life, hows its varied birdlife, including many birds restricted distribution to these environments, as well as many endangered birds.

With 577 species (more than half of the birds of Argentina) the List of Birds of the Province of Jujuy , will be a useful tool for any birdwatcher visiting the region as it will become a travel guide allowing also keep a record neater their field observations.

Jujuy and Salta provinces with greater wealth of birds, even more than the diverse missions, representing nearly two-thirds of the birds of Argentina, totaling just over one thousand species in total. The combination of contrasting environments: the Chaco, the Yungas Valleys and Gorges, the High Andean Puna and still allows a small territory in the meeting of resident and other visitors, summer migration from the Arctic to Patagonia winter.

The area of El Carmen and San Antonio contains portions of all these contrasting environments, from tropical to nival, and the presence of large water courses and bodies (such as dams) is additional attractant for this remarkable diversity of birds. Winter allows observation of many species that are not here in the summer, as the southern migration, or can only be seen in the High Andean Puna and environments, as is the case of altitudinal migrants.
