Melissa and Sean had the best of everything. One of the most beautiful churches in the city, a gorgeous venue, and some of Chicago's top vendors to boot. They also had the most magnificent sunny day with blue skies and little puffy clouds. You just couldn't ask for anything better!

Instead of doing a sneak peek prior to the wedding, the two held hands with a door separating each of them so as not to spoil Sean seeing his bride walk down the aisle for the first time. It was really a sweet moment.

I also was so lucky to have such a free spirited couple. After the ceremony was over Melissa took her shoes off and walked barefoot through Millennium Park. They also were completely open to my ideas and you can see the result in the fun and unique shots that we captured. 

At the reception the details were amazing. right down to the Notre Dame football helmet that served as the guest book. The decor and floral arrangements were absolutely elegant and just the perfect compliment to the elegant room.

Evelyn wore the most amazing dress and just looked stunning for her session. She was seriously glowing. And the two of them are so in love. Check out how gorgeous this session turned out!

Also, i don't think it's any coincidence that both of our weddings that have been featured were coordinated by the fabulous Lola Event Productions. If you are planning a wedding, you must check them out! 

Julie and Sean had a lovely and intimate wedding with 44 of their closest friends and family members. We started off the day by going around to some of the most beautiful locations the city has to offer. It's always so nice to take all the portraits before the ceremony so that the couple really gets to enjoy all of their party! Larkspur flowers did an exquisite job with Julie's bouquet and even included a charm that her great grandfather had made for her great grandmother. The flowers perfectly complimented her vintage inspired gown and shoes. She was absolutely stunning!

We were so happy that the rain held off and the couple was able to have their outdoor ceremony exactly as they had planned. Not every wedding comes complete with butterflies that magically appeared out of know where (really, they were everywhere and not at all planned!), bubbles, and the appearance of a rainbow. I'm pretty sure that this is all a very good omen.

The reception had lots of details that fit Julie and Sean's personality to a "T".  Each table sign had a different Beatles cover to help guide guests to their seat. There was even Beatles and other 70s music played throughout dinner to entertain guests while they dined. Flip flops were available to guests so that they could dance the night away. And what wedding would be complete without a platter of "sliders" for an after dinner treat?

You may remember Liz and Chris from their super cute Engagement Session that we did at Architectural Artifacts. We were so excited to design them a custom guest book that perfectly showcased their favorite pictures from the session for all their guests to enjoy at their reception.

And their wedding certainly did not disappoint. Just look at how adorable the two of them are. I think their sweetness just shines right through in these photographs.

Be sure to check out Liz's incredible electric blue shoes! Talk about something blue. Her vintage style dress also really lent itself to her super chic look. 

The ceremony was so lovely out on the Promenade at Lincoln Park Zoo. And you just can beat the natural beauty of Cafe Brauer with all it's natural light and vaulted ceilings. 

Scarlet Petal did an amazing job with all the floral decor (as always). And Toast and Jam kept the party bumping with the couple's eclectic musical tastes.

What a beautiful wedding coupled with the most beautiful day! It was such a pleasure to photograph Leigh and Tom's gorgeous event. I loved how sweet and shy Leigh is. Tom perfectly compliments her and they absolutely make the most adorable couple. I just loved her elaborate dress and her beautiful antique style ring!

Take a peek at all the details at the Reception. I'm pretty sure that the place cards are the coolest things I've ever seen. I also found black and white vintage patterned uplighting to be so lovely against the walls of the white tent. I also have never attended a cocktail hour that employed a cigar roller before. How neat is that?!
