Marcus Cahill known to his fans all over the world as "THE KING OF THE CAVERN" will be performing his last shows this week in The Cavern Club, Liverpool.

Marcus has performed in The Cavern more times than The Beatles and is looking forward to Touring his new JOHN LENNON show soon.

Marcus said "I'd like to thank all my fans for their continued and kind support and look forward to seeing them all at my shows when we tour, I will be performing a new show with my band, the likes that has never been seen or done before".

Marcus' last show at The Cavern Club will be on Thursday 3rd of March 2011 @ 4:30pm

Marcus Cahill will be performing his first show in Germany on the 19th February 2011 for one night only.

The Beatles 50th anniversary since first performing in The Cavern Club

Its 50 years ago today (9th Feb 2011) since The Beatles performed for the first time in what is now known as the most famous club in the world, The Cavern Club in Liverpool.
Marcus and his IMAGINE The Tribute show had the pleasure of being part of this historic event and performed to yet another full house of Beatles fans from around the world.
He performed in front of friends and family members of The Beatles.
Marcus performed songs from The Beatles early days set list to the amazement of the crowd, songs that haven't been heard in the cavern walls for over 50 years.
As John Lennon would have said "You should've been there"
A splendid time was had by all who attended.

John Lennon Season Ends with tribute concert at Liverpool's ECHO Arena (9th December 2010)

THOUSANDS of people flocked to the ECHO arena for a musical tribute to John Lennon.

Children from the ex-Beatle’s former school – Dovedale primary, in Mossley Hill, – opened the show with tribute artist Marcus Cahill, singing "Happy Xmas" (War Is Over).

The festive song was a hit for Lennon in 1971.

Also taking to stage to play were The Quarrymen, who played numbers including Rock Island Line by Lonnie Donegan, and Tony Sheridan, who sang My Bonnie.

That track was the first record The Beatles made, and the one which prompted Brian Epstein to watch them at Cavern.

Marcus Cahill and his fellow cast members, who will soon be playing in the L.A. Beatles musical performed a sneak preview of their forthcoming show.

Richard Bacon presents the show live from The Beatles Story in Liverpool, as we approach the 30th anniversary of John Lennon's death.

With Richard to assess Lennon's life and work, BBC Radio 2 presenter Bob Harris; and Sam Taylor Wood, who directed Nowhere Boy, a feature film about the early days of Lennon and McCartney.

Marcus Cahill of "IMAGINE The Tribute" will feature on the show, talking about his hero John Lennon and The Beatles and will perform some Lennon/Beatles classics live throughout the show.

LENNON REMEMBERED

Friends and artists who worked with the late, great John Lennon will come together for the first time in a historic memorial concert to commemorate 30 years since his untimely death. The one off concert entitled ‘Lennon Remembered – The 9 Faces of John’ is being held at the Echo Arena on Thursday 9 December. It will present artists and friends who span the whole life and career of the ex-Beatle from Liverpool to New York.

The event will focus on the significance that Lennon believed the number 9 had on his life. It will see 9 periods of John’s life represented by those who were there, including John’s first band The Quarrymen, the Beatles fellow Hamburg musician and lead vocalist on ‘My Bonnie’ Tony Sheridan, art school friend and editor of Mersey Beat Bill Harry and Beatles Press Officer, close friend and ex CEO of Apple, Tony Bramwell. Also appearing are Joey Molland, guitarist with Apple signed Badfinger who played on Lennon’s Imagine, Grammy award winning sound engineer Dennis Ferrante who worked on a plethora of Lennon’s albums during his New York years, as well as Liverpool born actor Mark McGann who is famed for his honest and powerful portrayal of John both on stage and film. The Cavern Club's resident John Lennon, Marcus Cahill will be opening the event and he will also be appearing several times through out the event.

Co-event organiser and Cavern Club owner Bill Heckle said:
“Anyone who loves the music of John Lennon and The Beatles should not miss this night. You will be witnessing history with contributions from those who helped John create it.”

With more very special guests to be announced, one artist who will be stepping up to the stage to perform and share anecdotes on the night is Plastic Ono Band member Alan White, who played drums on Lennon’s classic hits including Instant Karma and Imagine.

Profits from the entire night are going to local charities Alder Hey Imagine Appeal, Radio City’s Cash For Kids and the Mathew Street Festival.

Marcus Cahill and Spanish band Los Escarabajos (The Beetles) gave an amazing performance of John Lennon's "IMAGINE" album on the Derby Square stage at Mathew Street Festival 2010.
It was the first time the album has ever been performed live anywhere, let alone in John Lennon's home city of Liverpool.

There was a record breaking amount of people at this years Mathew Street festival and Marcus performed to an estimated 20,000+ Beatles and Lennon fans from all over the world.

Marcus and Los Escarabajos closed the festival for 2010 with John Lennon's classic "Give Peace a Chance" with the audience joining in with full voice and hands in the air.

Definately one of the highlights of this years festival.

It's nearly 50 years since Liverpool produced ‘four lads that shook the world’ – and now the city is at it again.

When producer Stig Edgren and the Beatles’ former engineer Geoff Emerick came looking in April for musicians to recreate the band’s legendary Abbey Road recording sessions, it was as part of an international search taking in London, New York and LA too.

The show aims to recreate Abbey Road’s Studio 2 and the amazing, world-changing sounds created within its walls by the Beatles.

Staged entirely in-the-round at Paramount Studios, LA’s newest 500-seater venue, every Beatle album will be represented with songs performed exactly as they would have been the day they were put down on tape.

There’s plenty of pedigree behind the Soundstage Theatre Company project, with Stig the man responsible for spectacular concerts such as this year’s Elvis show at the ECHO Arena, and Geoff – well, he needs no introduction to Beatles fans.

Marcus was chosen along with other hopefuls from around the globe.

When Marcus Cahill was first told about the auditions he thought Jon Keats and Cavern boss Bill Heckle were having him on.

"They asked if I was going to go for this audition and I actually thought they were having a laugh because they’d know I’d be really keen to work with Geoff Emerick. Who wouldn’t?" recalls the 38-year-old, who will play John.

"I thought it was a joke. And this went on for about a month or two. And then it turned out it was real. After that it just all went mad."

The Dublin-born musician says moving to Liverpool was always his big ambition. "I’ve been professional since I was 10 and singing since I was five," he says. "I’ve been into this whole Beatles world since I was a kid.

"This is my life. People say to me, why do you like Liverpool so much? I love Liverpool because for me it’s like a fairytale. I’m living the dream.

"I never thought I’d be meeting let alone working with the likes of Geoff Emerick.

"To think I’m going to get up every day and he’s going to be the guy that says, "OK Marcus, can you do A Day in the Life again please?" And he’s behind the controls.

"If somebody told me I was going to be doing that for a job, I’d be, pull the other one."
