- I met a young talented musician, with a wide horizon. She is a big talent of her field, Katalin please give me a brief introduction of you for my readers:

Katalin: - My name is Katalin Burns and I was born in Budapest, Hungary. I am a musician and a writer/translator. From an early age, I have been drawn to music and story telling. As a child I took every opportunity to perform, but I turned out to be a very shy teenager, so in my teens I only wanted to express myself in writing. To this day I enjoy writing fiction, I even have a published novel in Hungarian and my short stories regularly come out in literary magazines. In my early twenties I applied for the movie director course at the University of Film and Theatrical Arts in Budapest, and ended up in the top 20 of applicants. Due to lack of motivation and encouragement, I didn't go on to take the final stage of the entrance exam. I was only sure of one thing: that one way or another I wanted to become an artist.

- You have a great profession as singer, how you started it?

Katalin: - For a while, I only played instruments. I felt inspired to do music, but couldn't open up enough to let my voice be heard. So I played flute, violin and various kinds of weird percussion instruments in a friend's band. Later on we provided traditional folk music at dance hall events. We still believe in the mission to present traditional music to our own community. Then, at the end of my twenties I realised I wanted to sing. I had to overcome all the tension and inhibition that had built up in me through the years. This was a very hard job. As I started out late, I had not had the chance to enjoy the protection and guidance of a teacher, a mentor. I had no contacts, no history of competitions, no experience, only the desire to somehow be up there on the stage, with my voice. Then I went to talent shows, where I was typically given special prizes, because the jury appreciated me, but couldn't really place me in a category. My musician friends came with me to these shows and together we presented music from Hungary and Siberia.

- What and who did really inspire you to get into field music?

Katalin: - I was inspired by a lot of bands and soloists. I loved soul music, but the band REM and punk rocker Patti Smith made an even bigger impact on me. My greatest source of inspiration, however, was folk music. First of all Hungarian, then came one by one a lot of others. Being a fiction writer, I was also inspired by contemporary literature. I remember associating a lot of songs with stories or imaginary video clips!

- What problems did you face to achieve your career?

Katalin: - Lack of contacts, lack of mentors who would have introduced me to the world of performing arts. I had to work hard to put myself on the map of the music I represent. I was given some awards and gradually the profession began to know my name, but for the Hungarian folk music scene my music was too Eastern. I was influenced by the music of Asia to a great extent and I enjoyed applying some experimental features in my shows. I picked up the basics of Siberian/Mongolian double tone technique. Asian voice techniques have always interested me.

- Who have you worked with?

Katalin: - I have mostly worked with my band Hajna (Gergely Kiss and Gábor Bártfai). I am very fortunate to have some new partners now, such as Balázs Szokolay Dongó, a woodwind/bagpipe virtuoso and Vajk Kobza with whom I share an affection for the music of the Middle East. A large source of inspiration has been my cooperation with Suraj Khan of Lahore and his brother Chand. On my last visit to Pakistan, I also cooperated with Amir Azhar, a creative guitarist, bass player of the Mekaal Hassan band. I occasionally take a path leading West when I join the band Dagda for Scottish music, but I thoroughly enjoy this bit of Western music in my life, singing in the Scottish dialect. I once did a Sufi programme in Pakistan with the Punjabi folk singer Qurban Niazi. I had a lot of fun recently recording a demo with Wajih Ull Hussnain Nizami sitar talent and his friends from Rung School of Sufi Music and Arts of Islamabad. I have also tried my hands on supporting live dance productions with my voice. My partner in that is dancer/choreographer Panni Somi and her Sivasakti Kalananda Dance Theatre. I have built a mini repertoire of Indian music with Eva Thompson sitar/veena player and Gábor Gyarmati guitarist.

- Is there any artist you want to work with?

Katalin: - I constantly dream about cooperating with new music contacts. I would love to collaborate with Rokia Traore, Kiran Ahluwalia and the Vahdat sisters. But the list could go on and on.

- What are results of your achievements?

Katalin: - I have always wanted to travel and with the support of an institution or an organisation participate in international projects. My dream was a cultural dialogue between my Hungarian-inspired vocals and other artists' music as we sit together on the same stage, sharing the same moment. This dream came true as the Hungarian embassy in Pakistan put trust in me and invited me there for a fusion show with Chand and Suraj, whose vocal technique quite rubs off on me as I listen to them more and more. When musicians whom I respect know my name and remember some of the things that I have done, I also call that an achievement. In a talent show organised by Fonó, a significant concert venue in Budapest, I won third prize with my band in the folk music category. With my band I made an appearance in a Scottish TV show presenting Budapest, and I once performed live on Kohenoor TV in Lahore. I was featured in an annual collection of Hungarian folk music CD as a solo vocalist. To master the skill of giving your best in a project, to be creative and ready to improvise is also something I am gradually picking up.

- How do you see the work nowadays in your field easy or difficult?

Katalin: - Without a lot of contacts, it's definitely difficult. But contacts are not everything. Without your high standard and skill, any contact is just an empty shell. I have knocked on a lot of doors and found a few that opened up. I am always contented with the one thing I presently need to focus on, looking forward to the next show and planning exciting things for the future. I write a lot of project proposals. If the situation is difficult, I remind myself that things tend to change very quickly.

- Do you have a favorite musical project that you’ve worked on?

Katalin: - My first visit to Pakistan and my first fusion show there was really memorable. That was the first time I could feel interaction with highly skilled musicians (Mohammad Ajmal, Salman Adil, Anil Saleem, Chand and Suraj Khan) from the subcontinent and experienced their respectful approach to my music, adding their own ideas to it. We only had a short rehearsal, there was no chance for more. And yet, the show was a joyride, with a lot of things that happened in the moment, making the project a real dialogue between Pakistan and Hungary – whose folk music is filled with the longing for Eastern connections.

- What are your plans for the future?

Katalin: - Currently I have more projects being planned in a few Asian countries. Of course, they are at various stages in the process. And then, I also have some mission in Hungary! Other than these short-lived fusion projects, I also dream about a deeper collection of compositions, a CD with like-minded musicians. I would like to send a demo to European festivals, to establish my presence in the West. Right now the publication of my first live Hungarian-Pakistani show on CD is in progress. Of course, I would also like to train myself more in the skill of singing.

- Do you have any advice for young people who want become in the field of media (Music/ television/ Film) ?

Katalin: - I can only mention cliches, but they are always useful. If you have that desire for performing planted deep inside you, then nothing and noone can stop you. Listen to both criticism and praise, but always with a pinch of salt. Find your own style, stick to your path and never take success or the appreciation of the audience for granted.

- What and who did actually inspire you to get into the field of Event Management?

Saad: - I met many people in this field but I entered in this stuff myself but the person by whom I am inspired is Najaf Bukhari from AB EVENTS.

- What was the most challenging event you have planned in the past?

Saad: - All the events are challenging and I always use to say that I am ready for anything but I found out Pakistan Fashion Designing Council Fashion Week 2013 most challenging.

- What brings out the most excitement for you in event planning?

Saad: - Event planning, giving ideas and then turning them into reality is exciting.

- Tell me about one bad experience you had preferably something tragic, how did you handle it?

Saad: - So far I am going good my first event of my life was a bad experience in which I forgot to inform Tax authority but it gave me courage to do harder next time. Was the event still a success ? Yes it was indeed.

- What are the future prospects of Event Management Services in this time of era in your country?

Saad: - Event management is the future of upcoming era Pakistan has got so much talented youngster who want to become singer, models, designer and actors we can promote them thorough different events.

- Please convey a message for the people who are related to your field of work plus for the people who are new and want to get into the field of Event Management?

Saad: - For the people who are already in this field I would like to say that “Stay happy stay foolish and keep innovating” and for newcomers I would like to say whenever you need my help you will always find me there.

Interview with Guessous Majda Mária great talented Hungarian Folk singer and Teacher (with translation)

I could call my self lucky, because I had the opportunity to make an interview, with a very talended young singer: Guessous Majda Mária (Meshi).
- Meshi please introduce yourself for my readers:

Meshi: - If i look at myself from the outside: I'm a Hungarian-Moroccan girl, who was born in Hungary, int he city of Debrecen, into a big family. I graduated as a folk singer and teacher at the Music Academy, where i teach right now. If i look to myself from the inside, then i feel: I'm a girl, who has found her husband, who believes in God, in His miracles, in dreams, a girl who love to paint, write poems, play music, sing, to get to know herself and others.

- You have a great profession as singer, how you started it?

Meshi: - Arts, music, and the love of folk songs was an important thing to me since i was born. Originally i wanted to be a doctor, i loved biology very much, but at the same time i went to music school where i gave concerts and participated in music contests. First I played on violoncello, then i started my studies at the folk songs major as the student of Sáriné Szebenyi Judit. Beyond the family traditions, she made me the path into the beautiful world of Hungarian folk music. I felt more and more that i need to choose this major. I ended up at the Music Academy, where i graduated not long ago as a musician and a teacher.

- What and who did really inspire you to get into field music?

Meshi: - Many people and many small sign helped and motivated me on my way. Like my mother, my family and my teachers. And of course the audience what gave feed backs which motivated me also, and still motivates me today. I feel that my Creator made me for this path. I want to be a bonding bridge between cultures and people through music, folk music. Somehow all paths leaded me to this, and i every time i feel more strongly that i can only express the naturally of life and music this way hoping that not i am the only one who will take wings, but everyone. - It’s wonderful, that your family support you.

- What problems did you face to achieve your career?

Meshi: - I think that pitfalls are in the first place can be found in the person him/herself. I strive to live a more beautiful and full life on the weekdays and on the stage too. This is my intention. I think there are always ups-and-downs. But its okay this way, this is how life goes, this is how a person evolves, goes ahead. For sure, the world of art is pretty wide, it hides many dangers too, but this is true for all the professions. Everyone should work on him/herself, and do his/her job this way, with good intentions. - You way of thinking is very responsible, and you always make up your mind, the world that surrounds you did not effect you, and the fact that you are very openminded is amazig.. i wish you the best: make your dreams true, or at least be succesful in your occupation and your personal life.

- Who have you worked with?

Meshi: - I had the opportunity to work with a lots of artist and singers, which fusions made a great influence in me, because every other person with his music and personality is a micro cosmos. In 2012 I worked together with Alexandra Berta folk singer and zither player, Fausto Beccalossi jazz accordion player, the Hungarian folk group called Folk Embassy, András Jánosy folk violin player and teacher, Marlene Dorcena jazz singer, Mike Stern jazz guitarist, Said Tichiti moroccan singer, Szabolcs Szőke sarangi and gadulka player and Trilok Gurtu tabla artist (precussion). There are three musicians who regularly perform: My husband, Gerzson David Boros (darbuka, harp); Ivan Barvich (wind instruments, tambourine, RIQ), a member of the famous band Sebo, and Szabolcs Tóth sitar artist. World music ensemble jazz and folk elements with Balkan Union and Woodland band with a singer I am also present. I have these formations also represent an authentic folk music.

- Is there any artist you want to work with?

Meshi: - Yes, there are many musicians and artist i would like to work with. My monthly club concerts are great opportunities for that. We had many times guest artists whom I have wanted to work with a from a long time, and thank God, we could play music together for a concert. I hope, that I one day will work with the artist is respect so i will be able to learn from them.

-What are results of your achievements?

Meshi: - First I achieved some nice results as the pupil of Judit Sáryné Szebenyi thank God: grand prizes of national folk music competitions, Euro Regional Festivals 1. place and the Children and Youth Festival of Debrecens grand prize. In 2010 i graduated as a folk singer at the Music Academy, my master was Anna Vakler. In 2010 I participated int he Folk Beats National Talent competition where i achieved first place. In 2011I received the Junior Prima Prize (a national award) in folk art and public education categories. Int he same year my first album debuted with the title Szivárványhíd (Rainbow bridge), and after that I graduated in 2012 as a folk music teacher at the Music Academy where I teach right now.

In January-February 2013 I went to an American music tour, which I was awarded for the first place on Folk beats competition. My constant music companions István Barvich and my husband Gerzson Dávid Boros were also with me. We gave 15 concerts. It was a wonderful experience. - What you achieved represents, that hardworking always birngs succes.

- How do you see the work nowadays in your field easy or difficult?

Meshi: - It is hard to work in this field, if the person does it for money. But its also true that for us musicians this is our profession, we live from this but we need to be careful to keep money away of our priorities. I think that the people must believe int he miracles , in his/her dreams and the path will soon be clear in from of him/her, it it really belongs to the person.

-Do you have a favorite musical project that you’ve worked on?

Meshi: - My own music project, Szivárványhíd (the Rainbow bridge) album debuted in November 2011. This was my first album and I worked with it a lot. It’s called Rainbow bridge because it connects people, nations, cultures and the turning points of a humans life: marriage-death and the returning to God. You can find Hungarian, Turkish and Moroccan folk songs.

As I just mentioned i worked with many artists, what resulted in new projects like concerts. The memories and the experience of the mini tour with Mike Stern and Trilok Gurtu still fresh. They let me peer into a new musical world. It was the beautiful meeting of jazz and folk music. In 2013 Jan. i went with my team for a month tour int he USA, that was our last music project.

- You went far lately, you must have a lot of plans in the future, please tell us about them.

Meshi: - I would like to deepen my knowledge in Moroccan-Arab folk music besides of Hungarian and Turkish folk songs. There are many things in the air and I don't know what will happen to them or to what they will turn, but what I know is, I want a beautiful and happy family and i want to continue singing for the sake of God and the people.

- Do you have any advice for young people who want come in the field of media?

Meshi: - Let he music born in your souls, your throats, your instrument! I wish you all beautiful creation! - Its fantastic to hear someone in such a young age talking this wisely, i wish that your succes will be worldwide, and your dreams will come true.

- Mesi mondj magadról néhány szót az olvasóknak:

Mesi: - Ha kívülről tekintek magamra: én egy magyar-marokkói lány vagyok, aki Magyarországon, Debrecenben, egy népes nagycsaládban született. Népi ének előadóművészként és tanárként diplomázott a Zeneakadémián, ahol jelenleg óraadó tanárként dolgozik. Ha belülről tekintek magamra, akkor ezt érzem: egy lány, aki megtalálta a férjét, hisz a Teremtőben, a csodáiban, az álmokban, nagyon szeret festeni, verseket írni, zenélni, énekelni, önmagát és másokat megismerni.

- Te egy profi énekes vagy, hogy indultál el ezen az úton?

Mesi: - A művészetek, a zene, a népdalok szeretete gyermekkorom óta fontos része az életemnek. Eredetileg orvosnak készültem, nagyon szerettem a biológiát, de mindeközben zeneiskolába jártam és rendszeresen felléptem, illetve versenyeken vettem részt. Először csellóztam, majd népi ének szakon is elkezdtem tanulmányaimat Sáriné Szebenyi Judit tanítványaként. A családi hagyományokon túl ő vezetett be a magyar népzene szépséges világába. Egyre inkább azt éreztem, hogy nekem ez az utam, ezt a pályát kell választanom. Végül a Zeneakadémián találtam magam, ahol nemrég diplomáztam előadóművészként és tanárként.

- Mi és ki ösztönzött, hogy zenével foglalkozz?

Mesi: - Sok kis jel és személy segített, ösztönzött ezen az úton. Ilyen személy volt elsősorban az édesanyám, családom, tanáraim. Nem szabad elfelejteni a közönséget sem, akiktől olyan visszajelzéseket kaptam-kapok, amelyek szintén ösztönző erővel bírtak-bírnak a mai napig. Úgy érzem, hogy a Teremtőm erre a pályára rendelt. A zenén, népzenén keresztül összekötő híd szeretnék lenni a különböző emberek és kultúrák közt. Valahogy efelé vezetett minden út, s ahogy haladok ezen az úton egyre erősebb bennem azaz érzés, hogy az élet és ének természetességét a népdalokon keresztül tudom leginkább megélni és kifejezni, remélve azt, hogy ezzel nem csak én, hanem mások is szárnyra kapnak. – ez csodálatos, hogy a családod támogat...

- Milyen buktatói vannak a pályádnak?

Mesi: - Buktatók úgy gondolom, hogy elsősorban magában az emberben vannak. Én arra törekszem, hogy minél szebb és teljesebb életet éljek a hétköznapokon és a színpadon is, a szándékom ez. Azt gondolom, hogy mindig van fent és lent. De ez így jó, ez az élet rendje, így fejlődik az ember. Az biztos, hogy a művészet világa nagyon tág, nagyon sok veszélyt is rejtegethet, de ez minden szakmára igaz. Mindenkinek önmagán kell dolgoznia, és így tennie a dolgát, jó szándékkal. – felelősségteljes gondolkodás jellemez téged és nem vagy meggondolatlan, nem fertőzött meg téged a romlott világ, és sokoldalú műveltséged lenyűgöző... a legjobbakat kívánom neked: valósítsd meg az álmaidat, legyél sikeres a munkában és a magánéletben is.

- Kivel dolgoztál már együtt?

Mesi: - Számos zenésszel, művésszel volt lehetőségem együtt dolgozni. Minden egyes ilyen fuzió, együttzenélés nagy hatással volt rám, hiszen minden ember egy-egy mikrokozmosz a maga személyiségével, zenei világával. 2012-ben együtt dolgoztam Berta Alexandra citerás népdalénekes előadóművésszel, Fausto Beccalossi jazz tangóharmónikással, a Folkembassy magyar népzenei együttessel, Jánosi András népi hegedűművésszel és tanárral, Marlene Dorcena jazz énekesnővel, Mike Stern jazz gitárossal, Said Tichiti marokkói énekessel, Szőke Szabolcs sarangi és gadulkajátékossal, valamint Trilok Gurtu tablaművésszel. Van három zenész, akikkel rendszeresen fellépek: férjem, Boros Gerzson Dávid (darbuka, doromb); Barvich Iván (fúvós hangszerek, tambura, riq) -a híres Sebő együttes egyik tagja; illetve Tóth Szabolcs szitárművész. Világzenei együtteseim a jazz és népzenei elemeket ötvöző Balkan Union és Woodland együttes, ahol énekesként szintén jelen vagyok. Ezekben a formációkban is az autentikus népzenét képviselem.

- Van olyan művész, akivel szívesen együtt dolgoznál?

Mesi: - Igen, sok olyan művész van, akivel szívesen együtt dolgoznék. A havi klubkoncertjeim erre nagyon jó alkalmak. Ezeken a koncerteken sok esetben voltak már vendégművészek, akikkel már szintén régóta szerettem volna együtt zenélni, és hála Istennek, sikerült együtt zenélnünk egy vagy akár több közös koncert erejéig. Remélem, hogy sok-sok általam tisztelt művésszel tudok majd együtt dolgozni, akiktől rengeteget tudok majd tanulni.

- Milyen sikereket tudsz felmutatni?

Mesi: - Először Sáriné Szebenyi Judit tanítványaként értem el hála Istennek szép eredményeket: országos népzenei versenyek kiemelt díjai, az Eurorégiós Fesztivál I. díja, és Debreceni Gyermek és Ifjúsági Fesztivál Nagydíja. 2010-ben népi ének előadóművészként diplomáztam a Zeneakadémián, mesterem Vakler Anna volt. 2010-ben indultam a Folkbeats országos tehetségkutató versenyen, ahol I. helyezést értem el. 2011-ben Junior Prima Díjban (állami kitüntetésben) részesültem népművészet és közművelődés kategóriában. Ugyanebben az évben jelent meg első lemezem Szivárványhíd címmel, majd 2012-ben népzenetanárként diplomáztam a Zeneakadémián, ahol jelenleg óraadó tanárként dolgozom.

2013 januárjában-februárjában volt egy amerikai turném, amit a Folkbeats első helyezettjeként kaptam. Velem tartott két állandó zenésztársam is: Barvich Iván és férjem, Boros Gerzson Dávid is. 23 nap alatt 15 koncertet adtunk. Hála Istennek hatalmas élmény volt! - A kemény munka mindig meghozza gyümölcsét, ezt reprezentálja mindaz, amit eddig elértél.

- Hogy látod, nehéz ebben dolgozni, amiben te vagy, vagy könnyű?

Mesi: - Nehéz ebben a szakmában dolgozni, ha azt az ember pénzért csinálja. Az is igaz, hogy nekünk, zenészeknek ez a szakmánk, ebből élünk, de vigyáznunk kell, hogy az elsődleges mozgatórugó ne a pénz legyen. Én úgy gondolom, hogy az embernek hinnie kell a csodában, az álmaiban, és az út kirakódik számára, ha az valóban hozzá tartozik.

- Van híres zenei projekt, amin dolgoztál?

Mesi: - Saját zenei projektem, a Szivárványhíd lemez 2011 novemberében jelent meg. Ez volt első, debütáló albumom, amin nagyon sokat dolgoztam. Szivárványhíd, mert embereket, népeket, kultúrákat és az emberi élet nagy fordulópontjait-születés, házasság és a Teremtőhöz való visszatérés- köti össze. A lemezen magyar, török és marokkói népdalok találkoznak.

Ahogy említettem, sok művésszel dolgoztam együtt, akikkel szintén egy-egy új zenei projekt született, melyeknek eredménye egy-egy koncert lett. Friss élményként él bennem a mini turné Mike Sternnel és Trilok Gurtuval, akik szintén egy új zenei világba engedtek bepillantani. Gyönyörű találkozása volt a jazznek és a népzenének. 2013 januárjában a csapatommal egy közel egy hónapos USA turnéra indultunk, most ez volt a legutóbbi zenei projekt.

How did you manage to form a band?

Syed: Ayaz Ali formed the Zijr band .. first he learned the guitar and then he took interest to make a band by name Zijr.

What and Who inspired you in forming a Band?

Syed: Our inspiration was Linkin park, Sonu Nigam, Akash band, Call band, Noori band,, and Junoon band.

What problems did you face to achieve the Band career?

Syed: Alots of problems we faced to achieve the band just like legs puling ,, budget ,, backbites, and almost in the Pakistan its very complicated to hold the Audion to get their flavor of music ... but every time we did great performances and people l really enjoy our live concerts and songs also.

Who have you worked with?

Syed: We have worked with Sam Akash band, Rizwan Butt XS studio, Apiczone studio and with alots famous artist like Call band, Noori,, Atif Aslam,, Jal band.

What are future plans?

Syed: We going to shoot a video of our new song Betabiyaan by Zijr.. and plan is about a complete songs albums as soon possible INSHAALLAH .... AND specially about international tour.

- I am a fine arts(applied art) student and working as an illustrator, designer and photographer. I love nature, photography, travelling, music… and more often I am a perfectionist.

- What inspired you to get into art and photography?

Justin George: - Simply the strong love towards colours, strokes, light and shadow… how beautifully they can create a mood, a story and some times the perfect use of them can freeze the time too. I believe that they are my perfect companions to express myself more often.

- Who inspired you in start?

Justin George: - Mainly my parents and my father is from a traditional artists’ family so they encouraged and inspired me a lot to get into this field. - It’s wonderful, that your family can support you, and you have the opportunity to get experience from them.

- What problems did you face to achieve your career?

Justin George: - I knew this was the right career but I was really confused to choose the right course after my secondary school level because there’re many courses related with art and designing and I was interested to do most of them. So I did a diploma course in graphic designing, 2D & 3D animation. Now I am doing Fine arts in applied art and completed Bachelors degree. - the fact that you are very openminded is amazig!

- Who have you worked with?

Justin George: - After completing my first level designing studies I'd got a nice opportunity to work with 'Pencil Jam' one of the famous illustration and designing studio in Bangalore, India. There I could study more about contemporary, traditional designing and illustration techniques. After that I'd worked in Music of Rain designs with Abhilash Sivadas an artist and a designer who helped me a lot to study more about branding and web designing.

- What is the most improtant goal, you want to achieve?

Justin George: - I believe that I am slowly developing a particular style in illustration and photography. To do it perfectly I am trying to learn more about other artists and how they made their work different from others but never like to follow them. - Lots of work needed to build a carrier and become famous, wich contains hard moments also...

- How do you see the work nowadays in your field, popular or not?

Justin George: - It's popular but most of the people are following a particular style and it's too difficult for them to think differently and use new styles and techniques. Sometimes this attitude prevent the designers or artists to develop and present new ideas. In most of the companies designers are working like slaves without creative freedom. There are clever designers who create designs with the help of templates and claim they are made by themselves. It's always necessary to use new styles and techniques to stand alone and to be different in this field. - i totally agree with you, its fantastic to hear someone in such a young age talking this wisely.

- You must have a lot of plans in the future, please tell us about them.

Justin George: - I would like to known as a world famous illustrator, designer and photographer and I firmly believe that I can achieve it through hard work and observation. I am also planning to publish illustration books for children which help them to study the subjects easily and create love towards the nature. An exhibition of my paintings various places across India and outside also is there in my mind. - Oh, these are wonderful plans, i wish you the best: make your dreams true, or at least be succesful in your occupation and your personal life.

- Well my Name is Gohar Yousaf iam 21 years old. I am from Pakistan a Lahori desi fun loving guy. Doing my Bachelors in Mass communication.

- You were surrounded by music since your early ages, please tell me, how did you choose this path, and when?

- I’ve inherited this particular skill from my father as I don’t belong to a proper and popular musically trained family.

I started singing in my school when I was in my 6^th grade our music teacher Mr. John wanted me to sing few lines for him... He was actually taking auditions for our school choir.

I used to be very shy that time. I was really nervous I just went to him in front of my class he said I know you are getting nervous just close your eyes and sing whatever you want to I was like okay :) started a patriotic song and he played his keyboards with me when I ended that particular song he said your selected! Your ON you have to be in our school Choir you deserve to be there I was shocked that time with a big smile on my face and said thank you sir :) The whole class appreciated alot and so Sir John as well... that moment was life Changing. I was like yes I did it yes :) came back home told my parents about it I was really happy that day becoming part of my School choir was a big thing to me used to face 400 to 500 students daily of my school. My stage fear got vanished participated in numerous shows and competitions from school and

Learnt a lot of things, techniques how to perform and how to present the particular content in front of the audience... in my 8th Grade I got some friends who were like me so we used to Perform as a band as I was the lead vocalist that time got hell lot of appreciation as well. With the passage of time people suggested me to work more and I should pursue singing and make it my profession. And at the end of my 8th grade I made my own composition worked on it and in 2OO8 I released my Debut Track Dill nay tujhey( home based version) and the response was huge.... when I started my College I officially started music did proper concerts with a passage of time achieved alot in my teen age. But there is a long way ahead I want more I need to learn more I want to achieve alot but at the same time I can now say that I have made my own image as well being in underground scene i am still struggling for my aims and goals and I believe with the Grace of God i'm gonna achieve them for sure. - I am very impressed by your story... you have great experienxes in your young ages yet.

- What and who did really inspire you to get into field music?

- hmm a thing which inspires me that would be Guitar 4 sure Jal the band from Lahore released their song Aadat in 2004 I started playing guitar noticing Goher Mumtaz (lead guitarist and Vocalist) of Jal he is my inspiration over all..

- I have achieved alot but its a start for me there is long way ahead...

Obviously when an artist gets fans! Haters and leg pullers rise as well... I know how much i am. Capable of so never gave a damn about it!!! I always wanted support and prayers from my parents which I got so no problems! - Self-confidence and perseverance are very important, and the competitors should be to strengthen you.

- I have worked with (Karwan Band) (The Band Pavan) (Insomniac)...

- Aim desperate to work with Jal the band and Shruti Hassan from Mumbai (India)

- Its Quite difficult nowadays in Pakistan spreading your music to your listeners is really a difficult task we only had youtube for making our content easily accessible to our public. Youtube is banned from a long time young musician use social networking websites to promote their stuff as well... Shortage of electricity and our music Channels play Indian and international content more than their own... this thing can lead to career of a musician to and end. But fingers crossed!! I hope our music industry will grow more and more and I think If you’re passionate about your work u will do anything to achieve your goals God make ways...

- Do you have a favorite musical project that you’ve worked on?

- Yes, I do have and its Kyun Jioun its on youtube people can search it through Google as well. I made it in 2009 this particular song is based on a true story of a friend of mine... basically its about suicide bombing attacks... song showcases the feelings of those people who lose their loved ones in such pathetic acts. So yes kyun Jioun is really close too me and off course one of my own favorite project as well.

- What are your plans for the future?

- Well currently i'm working on couple of projects of my own and for few new upcoming artists as well. Will be making lyrical content for them. Next song is going to be a gospel song which will out in March! - Oh, these are wonderful plans, i wish you can accomplish all of them.

- Do you have any advice for the young generation who want come into the field of media (Music/ television/ Film)?

- Advice would be that whatever you’re planning or u want to do in media u must have the knowledge about it get trained in your field because competition is so tough nowadays makes yourself as stronger as you can so you meet to the international level!

- I could call my self lucky, because I had the opportunity to make an interview, with a very talended young singer and musician Shujat Ali Khan. Big names can be found in his family, so he neednt go so far, to find the best mentors.

Shujat Ali Khan, grandson of legendary classical singer Ustad Salamat Ali Khan and son of leading contemporary classical singer Sharafat Ali Khan and nephew of Ustad Shafqat Ali Khan, has been singing since he was seven. Coming from Sham Chaurasi gharana (school of thoughts), which was founded in the 16th century by Mian Chand Khan and Mian Suraj Khan who were contemporaries of Mian Tansen at the court of Mughal Emperor Akbar. Shujat inherited the special talent for music. His grandfather Salamat Ali Khan and maternal grandfather, Nazakat Ali Khan were rated among the top classical singers. Shujat Ali Khan is the 12Th generation of Shamchurasi Gharana. Singing was in his blood so naturally he had to become a singer and to establish his career in singing. Ustad Salamat Ali Khan was his early guru then after his death Shujat started to learn music from his father Ustad Sharafat Ali Khan and his Uncle Ustad Shafqat Ali Khan.

Shujaat did his intermediate from the Government College Lahore and completed his graduation privately.

Shujat participated in a very popular TV reality show named SaReGaMaPa in 2008 and gave amazing performances on the stage of Saregamapa in front of legendary singers like Asha ji, Ghulam Ali Sahib, Suresh Wadkar, Anand ji bhai and Kavita ji as well as the mentors of Saregamapa challenge 2009 Himesh Reshammiya, Aadesh Shrivastava, Pritam and Shankar Mahadevan. Shujat is of the view though he did not win the competition but he won the hearts of the people who understand music and that really matters for him. He is really passionate about his singing and working very hard to establish his career in singing.

- Its no doubt, that you were surrounded by music since your early ages, but please tell me, how did you choose this path, and when?

Shujat Ali Khan: - Singing is not only my passion but its in my blood. From my childhood i loved to sing and i used to sing all the way either in classroom or its my home. I brought up by my grandparents. My grand father Maestro Salamat Ali Khan used to practice in front of me when i was so little and i used to sing with him. Finally my grandfather started teaching me classical music. Since that time i became passionate for singing and i choose singing as my profession.

- What and who did really inspire you to get into field music?

Shujat Ali Khan: - My real inspiration is my grand father Maestro Salamat Ali Khan, my father Maestro Sharafat Ali Khan and my Uncle Maestro Shafqat Ali Khan. when i started listening them then i decided to sing like them. But its hard to say that i can sing like them but i try to follow those such great classical music Maestros. So finally they became my inspiration in the field of music. –Listening to your singles, there is no use questioning your talent.

Shujat Ali Khan: - I just wana say Thanks to God who always help me all the way. I never found any problem while making my singing career, whatever i wished for i got it. But at this point wana definitely share something which i think is very important for me is that. Whatever profession we choose for ourselves its not an easy job to get it so quick. We require struggle in it to achieve your goal. I believe in it and i applied these instructions on myself. I am still in struggle and will keep going on with same hard work to get my aim. - What you achieved represents, that hardworking always birngs succes.

- Whom you met by your work, and where have you been lately?

Shujat Ali Khan: - I worked with many best musicians and artist nationally and internationally. Last year i went to India i got a chance to meet Salim-Suleman hugely talented music directors and had a jam session with them and got big appreciation. Then met Vishal and Shekhar very best music producers made them listen few of my music samples and was highly admired by them. Worked with Pritam who was also my Mentor in SaReGaMaPa. I worked with my uncle the great maestro Shafqat Ali Khan in Switzerland with musician Reto Weber and Band. It was a jazz band based in Swiss we were invited there by Swiss government.

In America i got a chance to share stage with a highly popular indian singer named Sunidhi Chauhan that was also a great experience. 2010 february i went to UAE with my uncle Shafqat Ali Khan for few of classical workshops and performances with few European promoters and artist. We were invited by Abu Dhabi government and promoter named Aski Mufti took our ban there.

- What are your dreams, who do you want to work wth in the future?

Shujat Ali Khan: - Now i want to work with artists from all over the globe. I wanna make a world tour and wana perform with the best artist of the world. Besides that i wanna work with a great Tabla Maestro Zakir Hussain, the great percussionist drummer Mr. Shiva Mani, Mr. A R Rahmaan, the great keyboard and music producer Yanni, Mariah Carey etc etc.

I wanna make fusion with all of those great musicians. - Oh, these are wonderful plans, i wish you can accomplish all of them.

- You git evereything for the succes...what are results of your achievements?

Shujat Ali Khan: - InshAllah results will be positive all the way, as i mentioned already my belief is strong.

- What you think how is a musician life nowadays, easy or hard?

Shujat Ali Khan: - Nowadays i must say music scene is not too much in Pakistan really, but the competition is quite strong among all the artists. I believe in hard work and i am following this thing and inshallah my belief is strong and i will make it easier with my devotion to my music.

- Do you have a favorite musical project that you’ve worked on?

Shujat Ali Khan: - I had many musical projects which i completed, but i wanna share my own album musical project which i completed recently. I really put lots of hard work on it and hopefully my audience gonna like it. One special thing i wana share to my fans and friends i did some musical projects as a music producer as well with few American Musicians in which i worked on a project with American music producer Mr.Richard Michos (guitarist),John Steiner (piano) and Mannose (flutes). One project i did as a music producer with a great DJ named Mr. Cheb i Saba from America. These are few musical experiences which i shared and enjoyed alot.

- You went far lately, you must have a lot of plans in the future, plesae tell us about them.

Shujat Ali Khan: - My music Album is ready to launched and very soon i am going to release it. First i will release a music video then will launch my album after that. I am also launching my sufi classical band very soon as a mystic and classical music with fusion. - That is fantastic, i wait it excited.

- You must have a lot of experinece, as a musician, do you have any advice for young people who want become in the field of media (Music/ television/ Film)?

Shujat Ali Khan:- My advice to young musicians and artists who really wana come and wana make their place as an upright artists. I suggest them to practice all the way, get best training from a right teacher and a right guide and keep their beliefs strong to get their goal. never lose heart and try try again till succeed.

Few of my songs are sung in Bollywood Movies inshallah hope my audience listen it soon.

- Its fantastic to hear someone in such a young age talking this wisely, i wish that your succes will be worldwide, and your dreams will come true.

I just got to know a very unique artist, who is going against the ways people are generally used to, while creating a new style in this field. I could not resist not to introduce him, and make him speak.

- Tell me something about yourself:

- Hello, My name is JUNAID MANNAN BUTT still single, Education B.A(prv), 27 years old and height is about 6 feet, I am sincere, Dedicated, Passionate person and also Talkative (- according to my experinece), We are 5 siblings and i am at number 4.

- Great nice family masha Allah....how did you get interested in modelling?

- I started my career with Acting (accidently), The response was very good! Soon i got much involved and meet many new people, they suggested me to do modelling as well, they told me that i have a UNIQUE getup height is ok and Face cut is also suitable for modelling.

One of my friends who is a photographer known as (SALMAN PHOTOGRAPHER) and (QAMAR BASHIR-MAKEUP ARTIST) help me out and shoot some snaps for me. By watching those clicks i was surprised and decided to do Modelling.

- That was your good decision....what inspired you to start?

- (hahahaha) Seriously! (myself), i am in this LONG HAIR with BEARD getup from past 10,12 years and joined MEDIA in 2010 in the same setup, i saw alot of Models every type but couldn't find anyone like me, i thought i have ability to get people's attention by my attractive look.

- Your look really unique, i think models will snatching it from you... tell me about what problems did you face to achieve your career?

- Well i have a list! where to go for Audition, who u meet who you trust, who is professional aaah, but in short no one was accepting my beard, this was the biggest Issue.

- New ideas are always faced with a refusal...but you was the first, and you have lot of chance for build nice career as model and actor...who have you worked with?

- When there was no one, I found a Coordinator name SYED ZAKIR HUSSAIN. I contacted him and told him that i want to do Modelling, so we meet and he Introduces me as a Professional Model.

- What are results of your achievements?

- mmm can't say right now, because i have just started but i will do some big show insha Allah, i working very hardly on it, so i made my name is this field, this is Achievement.

- I wish you will get the best results....How do you see the work nowadays in your field difficult or Easy?

- Very hard. Competition is very tough, alot of people are joining and willing to b a Model.

- and what are your plans for the future Junaid?

Modelling has an age and as i said I’m also an actor so in future i'll be a VILLAIN INSHAALLAH.

- I watched your movies, and i share them here too...i think you are great in both field , as model and actor too... i hope we will meet in future when you will be a big star insha Allah.

I'm Professional engineer working with a German concern. Adopted photography as a hobby, which became my passion and Finally offered services as a professionalist.

What inspired you to get into photography?

Nature has created so much of beauty around us which we tend to ignore in our daily lives. Beauty is people, beauty in nature, Beauty in feelings etc. We pass by same place every day without noticing. With my lens, i try to capture such beauty around us.

Who inspired you in the begining?

I always used to take better pictures (since my point shoot camera). and then i finally decided to try my luck with a professional series camera. then there was no stopping after the true potential of a real DSLR was unleashed.

What problems did you face to achieve your career?

Since photography in Pakistan is not yet a fully established field and there is not much of the opportunities available for photographers to groom their skills wrt Professional world class training and practical workshops. Photographers are mostly learning by practicing.

I happened to groom my skills by networking with photographers world wide (thanks to social networks).

I have covered some but miles to go...

Who have you worked with?

I formally didn't work with any photographer. But i have a circle of professional photographers who held each other grow in their professional skills.

What are your plans for the future?

To quench my thirst of photography with experiencing new innovative themes, techniques to give the best in portraits, fashion, weddings and landscape.
As i am Passionate about freezing the time n moments with my Lens. People call it photography, I call it Preserving Memories..!!!

How did you get interested in acting and modeling?

Well I m still new and wants to achieve my career there are alot of problems for men's in this field.

I work with A plus TV few Bran's shoots studio shoots and 1 video which is not realised yet.

Well work is so difficult and no chance for new comers old faces are not ready to leave and no chance for us...

What are your plans for the future?

I planned alot my dreams are very high and I want to be famous and want work hard. I work for country my passion is to be famous and well known person like Shahrukh Khan, John Ibrahim etc…

Zuhaib Ramzan Bhatti, is well-know TV Producer, TV Director is famous due to three reasons. One, he is first director and host in pakistan who shout regrading children writers, he done talk shows about childen writers and the magazines facing crisis. 2nd, He is youngest tv director who produced and directed hudreds of programs and talk shows on islamic topics, 3rd, he is now working mostly as a commercial director.
He started firstly little stories, poems for different children's magazines. His poem selected for semi final for International poetry contest held in France. In 1998 to 2002 he learned video editing and production from Dawah Academy International Islami University Islamabad with PTV Islamabad study visits. Saleem Mughal (PTV Producer Karachi), and Azhar Niaz (PTV Producer Islamabad) was the persons from he learned basics of production and direction. A solo play " Talash" In 2002 and A documentary on children awareness from print and electronic media in 2002 were the productions from he started career in Electronic Media.

In Start, Zuhaib Ramzan Bhatti worked during his studies when he was a student of gaduation in Quaid e Awam Universitiy of Engineering Science and Technology. He was also participating in different media related works, programs on TV channels.

In 2008 after 4 days when he completed university education, he called up by AKS TV(Lahore), He was responsible for on-air test transmission, which was success fully on-aired from Thailand within month. AKS TV then changed into Labbaik TV.
In Labbaik TV(Lahore) as Director Programs and Producer he started to direct programs like Morning show, Talk shows, Solo Lectures, Mehfils, Sitcoms, Road Shows. He hosted a program specially designed for children Jugnu Ko Parakhne Ki Zid Karen.

In End o f 2009 he joined Mehran TV as transmission In charge and Director Program, where he directed live programs, Commercial Likings, Eid Transmission, Current Affairs, Songs.

2 Albums of Sufi Kalam and Na'ats are released under the direction of Zuhaib Ramzan Bhatti by TP Gold.

Now he is working with FTR Media Service as Media Manager. A media agency dealing with Production, Advertising & Marketing, Event Management, FTR Media Service has corporate clients in government and private sector of Pakistan, And also dealing with International clients.

My name is Sharon William John I started Music at age of 4 with playing tabla then i switched on to harmonium and with classical singing then i started guitars and i was running my own band The Last Fret but because of some reason we just broke up with that.

What and who did really inspire you to get into field music?

Well my Grand father Mr.Jackson Gill inspired me to get into the profession of Singing and there are many Ustad's like Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Ustad Ghulam Ali, Ustad Amanat Ali, Ustad Baray Ghulam Ali who are my sip of inspiration.

What problems did you face to achieve your career?

Well i didn't achieved any thing like success in my career well seeking for it with my work and hard work with full determination in short you can say that am a struggling. They are many problems to achieve success in any field such as financial support and parents support and etc etc…

Who have you worked with?

Well i had worked with many artists such as Shafqat Amanat Ali, QB, Ali Zafar, Ali Azmat and many more on concerts as a singer as a guitarist

Is there any artist you want to work with?

Well i wanna work with all the artist in sub continent who are superbly awesome. My dream is to work with AR Rehman and Hari Haran.

What are results of your achievements?

My results of achievements are not yet completed but i had achieved many things here to be as a professional but there are many things to be achieved yet such as name fame money etc etc…

How do you see the work nowadays in your field easy or difficult?

Well these days Work is bit difficult because ratio of competition level is very high so you have to prepared for everything you got.

Do you have a favorite musical project that you’ve worked on?

Well i had Worked on Neend na aye and many more covers of song which is my favorite project yet.

What are your plans for the future?

My future planning is to a tribute The legends of music Such like Ustad Mehdi Hassan Jagit Singh Ghulam Ali Amanat Ali Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan album with Various artists.

Do you have any advice for young people who want become in the field of media (Music/ television/ Film)?

Well my advice for the youngsters with upcoming talents is to be professional in your field be honest with your music and work work hard and have good acknowledge about music and just try to Learn learn more and more and then apply it in studio recordings everyone is good enough because we got that techs improvise it but we should be very strong as a live singer as a good music contender.
