CAR STEAM WASH – AUTO DETAILING TRAINING COURSE

We are proud to inform our customers that we are now able to provide training courses for car steam wash and auto-detailing.

We have been exporting car steam wash equipment for many years now and we still receive many requests from customers that tend to put the car steam wash in comparison with traditional car washing systems. One of the commonest questions we receive is “how many cars can I clean a day with steam?”. This is not the way to approach car steam wash. Car steam cleaning does not aim at substituting the faster car washers like tunnel systems nor other touch-less car washing methods.

Car steam wash raises the aesthetic and utilitarian quality of a car, caring and preserving its elements, prolonging its life span and raising the value of the car. Car steam wash perfectly suits to Auto-detailing in combination with car care products. Car steam wash is also ideal to operate in any environment, indoor and outdoor, because it does not require a water waste plant, it is smokeless and noiseless.

The benefits of Auto-Detailing have been quickly appreciated world-wide by all vehicle enthusiast users, car valeting (auto-detailing in U.S.), car show-rooms, car dealers, car rental businesses, antique car owners, used car dealers, car renovating professionals and car washers.

About our training courses:

- The training is conducted by professionals with experience in car care.
- Training will be held in groups of a maximum of 4 participants providing individual approach.

Steam floor washing systems

We have to divide the floor steam cleaning system in two categories or fields of application: :

For small areas:

For this area we intend domestic floor steam cleaning of houses, shops and small business premises. Home and commercial steamers are usually canister type cleaners provided with steam floor rectangular brush with nylon bristles. For floors not particularly delicate and where it is necessary to degrease and remove persistent stubborn dirt it is advisable to use the steam with brush bristled straight so that the degrease power of the steam in combination with the mechanical action of the bristles can bring to the best result. For cleaning delicate surfaces or not very dirty surfaces the rectangular steam floor brush can be used with a towel, almost all the brushes are usually equipped with springs or hooks to hold the towels. The use of towels has a double functions: retaining the heat and at the same time collect the dirt. Usually towel gets dirty quickly because of the cleaning power of steam which enable to melt and collect dirt deeper. For this reason it is recommended to monitor the status of the towel and turn it into the cleaned side or replace it when it is no longer usable. To further improve the performance of steam cleaning and smooth the process we have designed special microfiber steam pads, there are available two sizes: rectangular and triangular and they can be used with any rectangular or triangular steam brushes available in the market. The steam pads are opened in the center to allow the steam to direct impact on the surface with more efficacy and the ultra-microfiber ensured that all the melted dirt is collected form the floor. These cloths are washable in washing machines and re-usabble, do not use softeners when washing microfiber as softeners compromise the fibers reducing their cleaning properties. Steam pads are definitely better than the normal towel and for certain delicate surfaces like wooden flooring they can avoid 100% the risks that hard bristles may cause scratches.

For large areas:

For professional/industrial use we have realized and patented an automatic steam floor washing and drying cleaner, GIROVAP. Today GIROVAP is the only existing equipment that provides steam boiler mounted on a motorized roller brushes head of 350 and 500 mm width. Girovap allows to steam clean floors on large surfaces, something that was unthinkable to be done with the common steam cleaner with rectangular floor brush because it takes too much time and effort by the operator that should have to push the brushes back and forth manually.

The machine provides several advantages, namely being equipped with a back floor vacuum squeegee it is possible in one step to deep wash and dry the floor instantly. This allows for example to clean public areas (like in shopping malls) without having to place warning signals like "Caution wet floor". Another aspect of not small importance is the fact that all the functions of the machine can be used separately and independently, so the machine can be transformed into: - sweeper- wet and dry vacuum cleaner- polisher- wash and dry- steam cleaner

Correct sanitation:

Steam floor cleaning sanitize surfaces without any need of detergents. With saturated steam sprayed directly on the floor at high temperature it is possible to get rid of any stubborn dirt and get at the same time an immediate cleaning result with sanitizing effect.

Not everyone knows that in traditional floor washing with the use of various detergents, more or less aggressive, it should be needed more than a rinse cycle with clean water to remove all the chemical residuals from the surface and even doing so it can be not guaranteed that all chem residuals can be removed 100%. The consequence of this is that these residues remain on the floor and this exposes any people and things that come into contact with them. We can think for example in a kindergarten where children lay on the floor almost all day long, or people particularly allergy sensitive, in the food industry where it is important to keep an high level of hygiene and avoid the exposure of the food products against contaminants, in health centers, sport clubs, swimming pools, etc.

In addition, the chemicals remained on the surface, if not removed, are layering making it increasingly difficult to obtain a proper sanitation. Using for the first time the steam on such a floor it generates lot of foam, this is because when steam pressure impact on the surface it melt all this accumulated chem residuals. When this happens it is a clear evidence that chemical residues on the surface of detergents were used previously and not removed.

The steam at a temperature around 100 degree allows a strong reduction micro-bacteria on the surface, the steam can penetrate deep into the micro-porosity of the treated surfaces. So we can say that washing floors with steam leads to an higher level of hygiene compared to traditional methods and an immediate advantage is derived from a proper sanitation.

Money Savings:

Another important factor is money savings from the less consumption of detergents. The amount of chemicals used in floor cleaning is much higher than we think. In the professional cleaning sector operators tend to use chemical solutions in rather excess quantity to be sure to have the best cleaning result effortlessy. With the steam all this can be avoided.
There is also money saving resulting from the lower water consumption. Electrical steam generators for professional floor care consume an average of 90-100ml of water per minute in continuous use, this means only an average water consumption of 5-6 liters in 1 hour of continuous cleaning.
(These figures are approximate and may vary according to the type steam generator used)

Compared to the traditional floor washing method with bucket and mop or floor washer with injection system we can immediately notice the difference. To clean a room of 4x4 meters in the traditional method requires at least two buckets of water containing not less than 4-5 liters. No to mention that intraditional floor washing systems it should be required a first stage with water and detergent and a second stage with only clean water for rinsing. Finally there is also a time savings considering that with steam all can be done in one stage and the floor is instantly dried out.

Environmental friendly.

We have seen how the steam floor washing can reduce the consumption of water and detergents, this is a direct benefit to preserve the environment. The disposal of dirty water and detergents in sewers where there is no filtration system generates a direct pollution of the water and then rivers and seas. The whole ecosystem is affected severely. Today there are biodegradable products which are good but we should know that even using biodegradable solutions the environment is still stressed having to absorb them because the biodegradability is never immediate, it is a process that always takes long time.

The video shows the application on a brick wall of a building of 60 years in Milan. The procedure for graffiti removal is simple and noninvasive!

Here is another little demo video that shows you the sucking power of our machine IMEX-BV50. This vacuum cleaner is battery powered and its motor has a small power absorption, only 550W. Its sucking power is incredible and it is not only a wet and dry vacuum cleaner. In facts in the video we have tested it with concrete dust / powder and the result was amazing. The machine cleaned the floor without any problem and easily.

New video of our GIROVAP...
Another steam floor cleaning test has been positively passed by Girovap.
First floor has been almost easy to clean, though it appears already cleaned the floor was really oily and sticky, typical in a food processing environment.
Second kind of surface was an anti-slide floor, It was very hard to clean in any other way, the result was always a clean floor but with trace and shadows of dirt.
And as you can see in the final pictures onto the video the result with the girovap is amazing...

Which steam machine does fit well steam car wash?

Continuous refill steam boiler for non-stop use is a must, when water ends the machine can refill instantly without any waist time.
Water jet (Hydro-jet) function. This is fundamental because in presence of very dirty car it is necessary to liquefy the dirt which can be salt or mud as a first step. Going over with dry steam and microfibre without liquefying the dirt there is the risk to scratch the surface.
Detergent injection. We have seen many car washer using only dry steam and microfibre towel but this is not correct....

Also the injection of the soap is more accurate using the red button on the gun. We have designed a special metal end nozzle tip for the gun with a rubber protection in case the gun nozzle touch the body surface accidentally.
