I took one class per week but practiced everyday. I remember my parents set up a keyboard behind the last booth in their restaurant and I would put on the earphones and practice while the waitresses were bustling around. That lasted a year and my teacher moved away so I continued to practice without a teacher. Years later, 2010, we found a new teacher for me, Rick Smith, who is a conductor of the Gwinnett Symphony Orchestra. I mentioned I would also like to sing and it was off to the races. When I posted my recital videos on YouTube it started a whirlwind of activity with more internet fans than I expected in that short time. I am inspired by Samantha Barks and Selena Gomez because both of them sing and act. I hope to someday have a career in singing and acting. I keep very busy working toward that goal with acting, singing, piano and dance lessons. They wrote their first song as a birthday present for a mutual friend and it felt good, in fact it felt extremely good. The song is entitled Glam Sister and is on the album and one of the most popular songs in the live set. From then on more songs came thick and fast, the shared influences of the likes of Iggy Pop, Nirvana, Blondie, Killing Joke and Sonic Youth have played a big part in the direction of the group, inspiration has come from far and wide and lyrically the lines between autobiographical and fiction are blurred and merged. I suppose if there was a specific aim it would be to capture and bottle the essence of certain music from the past and release it kicking and screaming into the now.&nbsp;</p> <p>Phil and Nina were soon joined by Steve Nightmare on drums and Tjay Tarantino(Blood Island Raiders/Dusteroid) on Bass guitar. They played their first gig together at an all day punk festival in Brighton in September 2010. Since then the band have played many gigs, mostly in London including a support slot to the legendary Walter Lure of the Heartbreakers in November. Earlier in the summer of 2011 the band went on a short tour to France and are heading back there in April 2012. So it&rsquo;s onward and upwards with the live shows getting better and better. Raised in Northern Virginia. An athlete in high school he eventually received an opportunity to play D1 lax. In Dec. 2008- hampered by injury inside and out, he left school. In Dec 2008 Andrew returned to the NOVA and began working for a moving company. April 2009- 2pm (sober, no seat belt) driving around a bend &amp;down a hill @ 55 mph crashes head on to an &ldquo;improperly stopped vehicle&rdquo;. He was air-evacked. The accident should of "killed him" the officer on scene said. With the Almighty's love shielding him Andrew walked out of the hospital later that night. Andrew's life drastically changed with this close call with death. After getting back on the road of life, Andrew resurrected a talent he hadn't much let out. This talent was and is songwriting. In 2010 he began composing songs with the piano and keyboard (and as of April in the year 2010 with the guitar as well). His goal was to make 1 song a month. Where will these songs lead? Son of a flight attendant, he travelled a lot. So he moved to Algeria and finally to Cortina d Ampezzo (Italy) where he now lives. There he started playing guitar and composing his own music. He changed different bands before he met Lop Noor; together they started the Edgar Allan Poets project. Their sound is smooth but strong, it is sad and tender; lyrics are poems inspired by Poe&rsquo;s novels.</p> <p>LOP NOOR (Drums)</p> <p>He was born in Bergen (Norway). After a few years, he moves with his family to Italy, and precisely to Cortina d Ampezzo. Here, Lop Noor begins studying drums and percussions. In order to improve the level of his studies, he moves to Milan first and then to Verona where he graduates at the conservatoire. During this period he starts feeling like he wants to compose something original but he feels also like he s missing something to reach this goal. After a few months this problem has been solved. He meets Chrisis and They immediately find themselves very close as for their musical tendencies.
