I&amp;#8217;m a little late to cover the news (about 6 days), but let&amp;#8217;s face it, LinkedIn hasn&amp;#8217;t upgraded their mobile app in over 2 years so I don&amp;#8217;t think another blog post will hurt. The mobile redesign follows multiple upgrades that have taken place in the last year. In 2012, Linkedin redesigned the &lt;a href="http://www.pcworld.com/article/259333/linkedin_unveils_redesigned_home_page.html" target="_blank"&gt;home page&lt;/a&gt; and user &lt;a href="http://blog.linkedin.com/2012/10/16/meet-the-new-linkedin-profile/" target="_blank"&gt;profiles&lt;/a&gt;.  Earlier this year, they announced a &lt;a href="http://venturebeat.com/2013/04/10/linkedin-recruiter/" target="_blank"&gt;redesign of the LinkedIn Recruiter&lt;/a&gt; products.  LinkedIn claims that 27% of their traffic &lt;span&gt;(up from 8% 2 years ago) &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;comes from mobile so the mobile redesign is a logical next step.  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Key features of the redesign include: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Boolean Search appears to be supported! - I haven&amp;#8217;t been able to find an official statement from LinkedIn regarding Boolean search and the new mobile app release but the team at &lt;a href="http://www.socialtalent.co/resources/?p=7396&amp;amp;goback=%2Egmp_79104%2Egde_79104_member_233437390" target="_blank"&gt;socialtalent.co&lt;/a&gt; have tested Boolean search and it appears to function well for simple &amp;#8220;AND&amp;#8221; / &amp;#8220;OR&amp;#8221; statements. It&amp;#8217;s probably not great for longer Boolean strings but its definitely an upgrade! &lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Limitations&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Only People searches are supported currently&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Ads are now included (this could be good for recruiters and marketers but obviously not a positive thing for most users)&lt;/li&gt;
