This past Saturday AMH led a Street Art Installation project at Youthfest 2009.
Using minimal supplies, an old record, a nut, a bolt, and a street sign, we created a street lined with community art. People of all ages and backgrounds participated in the activity. Each person painted a record and once it had dried we placed the bolt through the hole in the record and then through the existing hole in the sign post. Attaching the nut on the other side we gave the bolt one last twist with a screw driver and voila!
Instant street art.
This can be done with any material that you can drill a hole through and can be as large or small as you want it to be. Make sure you use a screw driver to tighten up the bolt. Those that were not tightened worked themselves loose on a windy day.
