This year we are having a 9 day trip to Lasham for some intensive training. It’s a great way to get a lot of consistent training and it’s great fun. There will be free accomodation on the airfield either in the caravan or in tents and we will have a couple of barbeques throughout the week.

If you can’t make it for the whole week then you can come for some of it! We will pick you up/drop you off at the train station. Oh and there are no soaring fees for the tour, so the flying will be even cheaper than usual!

This weekend!

Saturday we have Jamie instructing. I’ve already got Syzmon and Egor down for Saturday.

Sunday we may have Sage or maybe Lasham instructors. People on Sunday will also get the option of having a go in the Falke which is a motor glider! It’s good experience for practicing field landings and it will count towards your PPL! It’s also relatively cheap for powered flying at just £80 per hour. If you want to have a go in the Falke get in touch with me and let me know what sort of flying you want to do whether it’s PPL training or just an experience.

Unfortunately I don’t have the time to write a long and elaborate e-mail explaining how awesome it will be because I have lots of revision to do (and I wasted a lot of time making the poster above, good isn’t it?). The venue has said there is there is a slight possibility that the menu will change but is should be as below. Please respond as soon as possible with your choice if you want to come because otherwise I will get angry and I am quite dangerous because I am a yellow belt in ju jitsu and will walk up behind you and poke you with a stick. Have you ever played Worms? How embarrassing was it when your worm got killed by being poked off the side into the water? My favourite weapons were the holy hand grenade, the super sheep and the concrete donkey even though I only got the concrete donkey once.

• Roast Norfolk turkey with cranberry sauce
• Roast rump beef with horseradish sauce
• Vegetarian Nut Roast with beetroot and horseradish chutney (All served with roast potatoes, pigs in blankets, Yorkshire pudding, carrots, honeyed parsnips, Brussel sprouts, sage and onion stuffing and gravy)

Another quick reminder that Winter tour is just around the corner. We are going to Portmoak in Scotland again this year. Last year everyone had a great time with lots of gliding in the snow and a fantastic night at the Hogmanay street festival on New Year’s Eve. We will be leaving on 27^th December and returning on 3^rd January.
