Aryton Senna movie trailer out!

Hinted by Clarkson in Episode 5 of this seasons Top Gear, the team behind the upcoming Senna movie have released the trailer documenting the legends history. Not much info is known other then the movie is being produced by Working Title and that the movie is being made with the cooperation of the Senna family and the FIA.

THE-LOWDOWN & JDMST meet

It’s always a pleasant surprise to surf the web and find a picture of someone wearing one of my shirts. That’s exactly what happen last night as I was browsing Justin Fox’s personal site SPAMVENTDOCUMENT. Looking over the pictures from THE-LOWDOWN & JDMST monthly meet I notice someone wearing my shirt. After some more photo hunting I found a couple more pictures of my stickers and shirts at the event. With so much support, I’m thinking about hopping on a plane to visit one of these events. Man-Made Bugatti Veyron

We’ve all heard of the Bugatti Veyron, the ridiculously fast car that houses the amazing 1001 horsepower W16 engine. Surprisingly, many haven’t heard of Bugatti until the Veyron, but Bugatti’s namesake has been known for its exclusive cars since the 1920′s. Prior to the Veyron the top speed for production cars had not been broken for several years. As it would turn out, it would take quite a bit of engineering to shatter the top speed record set by the McLaren F1.

The National Geographic Man Made series went behind the scenes to find out how the Bugatti Veyron set the new top speed record for productions cars. The documentary shows us how the Volkswagen team engineered the complex parts and put together the amazing vehicle.

Ken Block’s Gymkhana 3 Pt. 1

After months of waiting for the newest Gymkhana video, DC Shoes presented the new video of the popular Gymkhana, well kinda. Cleverly breaking up the videos into two parts, the first part being a music video/infomercial featuring the rap duo “The Cool Kids”. To call the video bizarre would be an understatement, most of the viewers were expecting great driving stunts but the most they will see in this video is Ken Block sliding into fluorescent lights. So far the general consensus is…what on earth? Here’s hoping that part two will deliver.

Dreamer – LP640

It has been awhile since I posted my last photo shoot on here. If you’ve been following my Twitter or Flickr account you would know that August has been a busy month for me, full of photo shoots and of course my Series 4 shirts.

It’s no secret that Lamborghini is one of my favorites brands, in my eyes no other car company comes close to being as bold and loud as the raging bull. This particular model, the LP640 is my dream car, so it was definitely a treat to have ridden in it during the photo shoot. One day I’ll have one…

Aviators are the latest thing now a days, but little did I know that Porsche Design was well ahead of the game. When Porsche Design was first established in the 1970′s, one of their first products they made were sunglasses. These aviators were produced back then but have long been discontinued, till now. As part of the Porsche’s Heritage Collection, Porsche Design have remade 2 of their popular sunglasses. One of the coolest features about these sunglasses is that the lenses can be switched out. Priced around $250 – 490 these sunglasses won’t set you back too much compared to Porsche’s other gear.

REBEL8 Summer 2010

One of the few street wear companies making great looking and original gear. REBEL8 is a clothing company that produces products with designs inspired by skate, graffiti and tattoo culture. Sounds like a weird mix but the results speaks for themselves. Their latest summer release, in conjunction with their new site gives us a glimpse of things to come from the company. Lexus CT200h art installation

This simple yet stunning art installation titled CT Umbra was created by LA based design studio nondesigns. Commissioned by Lexus for their “darker side of green” exhibition, non designs created a sculpture of Lexus’s newest hybrid the CT200h. The sculpture is comprised of 2500 anodized aluminum bar, each being painted yellow on one side and blue on the other. As the viewer moves from the front of the model to the back, they will see a gradual change from yellow to blue.

Driven 2010

If you read my blog or twitter regularly I’m sure you have heard me complaining about how boring Edmonton is 75% of the time, so as you would imagine there aren’t many car shows. Driven (formerly known as Driven To Perform) is definitely one of the more popular shows and attracts the tuner/enthusiast crowd. This years Driven was held at Mayfield Convention Center, a much more easily accessible venue but terribly lit when compared to Northlands Agricom. To be honest there wasn’t much at the show I haven’t seen before so I only stayed for roughly 30 minutes to take a few pictures, hopefully there will be something new next year.
