Yet I think we have to stop and ask ourselves, do we really need a perfect swing in order to enjoy the game?

Facts about the Swing

Okay so it's not so much facts plural as it is a fact. While your buddies on the course will be very quick to tell you that you lifted your head or you're not aimed correctly there is really only one key thing that must happen to make that ball go straight. You must have the face of the club square to the ball at time of impact.

Of course all those other points your buddies continually bug you about are important but they are all spin offs of that one key point we must ensure the club face is connecting with the ball square on to make sure it goes straight, and as far as possible. So if all of those points we scrutinize over about the golf swing aren't as important as we thought what does it take to develop a good swing?

The Bare Minimum to make it go Straight

There are five points I am going to mention that I think are the "lazy" way to hitting the ball straight.

KNEES This might not seem all that important but when you're addressing the ball you should have your knees slightly bent. No so much that your knees are interfering with your swing, but ever so slightly to give you perfect balance.

BACK: I see a lot of golfers when I'm out on the course hunched over the ball and trying to whack away at it with no success. With your knees being slightly bent as mentioned in the previous point bind at the hips and keep your back straight. The pivot point should be your hips and you should maintain approximately the same height through your back swing, and down swing until you've completed your follow through.

ARMS: This is another difficult one, many of us want to swing the club like a base ball bat or a hockey stick depending on the other sports we play. Golf is a game of finesse no powering through the ball. As you take your club up in the back swing try to think about keeping your front arm (left for right handed golfers) straight. This will help keep the club head on the same plane as it comes through the down swing to impact.

HEAD: We already touch on this, but keeping an eye on the ball is important. One point to note here is that you shouldn't have your head turned down so much that your face is parallel to the ground. Tilt the head forwards and look downwards at the ball, but keep your chin up enough so that your arms and shoulders can come through as you swing.

HIPS: This is where you're going to generate the power in your swing. You don't want to lean forward during the swing, you can to tray and maintain no movement below the waist until you're making contact with the ball. At this point you should make a twisting motion at the hips so that your trailing hip turns through the swing and once completed your belt buckle is pointing at your target.

So, these are the "finer" points we'll say about helping to achieve a consistent golf swing. You're not going to be swinging the club like Tiger anytime soon, but as this article has tried to get across do you really have to? As you improve your game, you'll enjoy it more.

David Kemp Tennis

Website of Tennis Guru David Kemp. Although your tee shot may seem ok at first, it starts to curve to the right and becomes hopelessly lost in a frightful collection of looming trees and crackling branches. This is the most common problem for golfers.

Les problems - It happens because of two basic problems. First, the angle of the club's face is not right upon impact. Second, the path of the club is wrong as you swing down through the ball. There are various reasons that the angle of the clubface can be off and other reasons for a poor swing path. Diagnosing these two problems is the first step and curing them and ending the terrible slice.

Diagnosis - To diagnose what is causing your slice, there are several things to consider. First, take a look at your grip. Sometimes your left hand may be turned too far to the left. If this doesn't seem to be the problem, look at the way you stand up to the ball. Some golfers stand way to the left and this is usually the reason for the slice. You have to have your stance square to the ball.

Backswing Blues - This may still leave many golfers wondering what the problem is. If this is the case, there may still be a problem with the backswing. Sometimes the club may be going too far back and away from your body when you make your backswing.

Uppity Shoulder - Finally, there can sometimes be a problem with your shoulder right before you hit the ball. Some golfers throw their leading shoulder up in the air right before they hit the ball. This throws everything off in their swing. Check each of these possible problems by asking your friends to watch your swing. If they see one of these problems are especially noticeable, you can move on to the correction process.

The Cure - There are many ways to cure a slice. Curing the golf grip may be a simple case of moving your left hand. Squaring your stance may require the use of a club that you lay on the ground in front of you. If you place the club parallel to the direction of the shot, your feet should be aligned with the club on the ground. Practice this stance until it becomes natural. Your shoulders should also be aligned in this way with the club. In terms of a problem on your backswing, make sure to keep your elbows in as you swing back. This may correct the problem with your backswing as you may have been pushing the club away from your body. Finally, keep the leading shoulder down and allow your hands and arms to move through the ball naturally.

The Road to Success - Correcting a slice can take a lot of careful diagnosis but these basic principles may help you to determine what to look for at first. After that, some careful practice and determination may cure this problem and put you on a better road to success off the tee.

PLAY BETTER GOLF

About the Author
If you'd like to discover how you can play free golf then Claim Your free golf tips and start having more fun on the fairway today! Our golf driving tips are completely against such practices, since it is not in the force of the movement that the success of a hit lies. This comes with the proper body balance and the force gathered in a masterful swing.

How to set the correct trajectory for the ball and how to follow through are the main questions that golf driving tips need to deal with. What golf driving tips can set this mental error straight?

The design of the golf club is a special golf driving tip variable that needs to be taken into consideration as you cannot execute a long shot with just any club. Every club is meant to cover a specific distance, and send the ball as far as it is supposed to. The best golf driving tip here is to learn how to coordinate body and club in a common combination in which the club is the extension of your arm. This way you really maximize the length the club was designed for. Another golf driving tip advises to develop a natural body swing.

In case of a too strong a hit, it is possible to completely blow success off as the swing is tense and inefficient from a physical point of view. This golf driving tip should be remembered every time you practice your swing: the move of the body and arms coordinated creates the perfect shot. Another piece of advice here is to keep yourself in the best condition possible. Very often golf driving tips don’t work because your muscles are too flabby or weak to support controlled effort; on the other hand, failure is no good for your ego either!

Don’t look only for the golf driving tips meant to improve your swing and hit. Sometimes, as practice proves, the best golf driving tips are those that can correct golfing mistakes. Therefore, try to pay equal attention to the dos and don’ts of golf driving tips in order to really see progress in your evolution. You may even record yourself in various learning stages and compare your present-day game to your last month’s performance to check what kind of progress has been made. Thus you get the real picture of how the golf driving tips work for you and your style.

For more detailed improvement tips I recommend you go to Ultimate Golf Tips for professional advice on all aspects of golf improvement.

Buying the Correct Golf Club

Getting the correct golf club

Depending on the kind of stroke you want to make at a specific moment in a game you have to always consider getting the correct golf club for the situation. Very experienced golf players usually don’t have any difficulty in getting the correct golf club without a blink of an eye, but for beginners, conditions are different.

You need to be sure that you’re getting the correct golf club since this could mean better results from you. After all, these are the golf playing tricks beginners and professionals both recognize.

Getting the correct golf club means choosing from the woods, the irons or the putters as the main club categories are known. Let’s see when you should use each, and why it is so important you do so.

When you play for the long distance shots the wood-headed club is the right one. Getting the correct gulf club under the circumstances is essential since this usually works as the driver; the woods are the longest clubs and with the biggest of heads. If you’re hitting from turf – which requires high golfing skills – if you choose the woods, you’d be getting the correct golf club for the situation.

Then the irons fall into three categories according to their length, with the shortest being known as wedges. They are usually used for shorter shots, particularly when approaching the green. We should mention that getting the correct golf club may get the most experienced player out of trouble with very versatile shots, and the irons are usually the choice. However, many golfers now prefer the combined types – wood and iron – when it comes to getting the correct golf club. Then come the hybrid woods that serve the purpose of being the correct golf club on very rough terrain.

Last but not least, there are the putters, the clubs that you’ll need most when on the green. Though many say that getting the correct golf club on the green is not so important, it is advisable to stick to the clubs that where precisely designed for the purpose. Getting the correct golf club is sometimes a matter of personal choice and many professionals choose to follow their instinct, nevertheless.
