Season 2 Update #1

SUMMARY:
-There will be 15 episodes, each 7-15 minutes long. The scripts for the first three episodes have been written.
-There will be new characters in Season 2, and we’re currently in talks with some actors.
-Filming will take place May 19 – June 8, 2013, and we’ll start raising our $20,000 budget very soon

Halfway through Season 1! Can you believe it?

This episode was filmed across May 9, 10, 12, and 15. Many of the actors’ first scenes filmed were actually from this episode!

The evening of the 10th was a unique time because it was the only day we had all of the lead cast filming together! Any other times the characters are in the same scene, their individual shots were filmed on completely different days.

On the afternoon of the 12th, we filmed the scene of Rachel, Virginia and Jasper leaving the church. We had spent all day leading up to this point filming all the shots with extras from previous episodes, and this was one of the last shots of a very long, tiring day! The weather was fairly uncooperative, with excessive cloud cover ruining the look director Zack Lawrence wanted for the scene. But, by God’s grace, we got the lighting needed!

The opening shot of the scene was notable for being one of the few to break the director’s “Five Take Rule”, i.e. each shot had to get a good take in 5 takes or less! But because of the clouds, and some technical issues with the camera dolly, the shot ended having to go to SIX takes to get right! (It wasn’t the actors’ fault, it was all technical!)
