Many of them were for peace. I remember a popular slogan of that time "Peace to world". Another popular russian set expression of 1980s-90s was "fight for peace".

In this post you can see some of the Soviet Union placards relating to the theme of peace.

First USSR placard carries the slogan "Labour will be a lord of world". The placard illustrates the essence of the 1st decrees of the Bolshevik's power. These decrees were adopted after the October Revolution in 1917.

The second placard was made in 1985 to the anniversary of our victory in the Great Patriotic war, as we call Second World war. It's slogan is "We had defended peace in a battle".

I think, that the next USSR placard have illustrated a call to destroy nuclear warheads.

The last placard with the child I like most of all. It was not typical. I can't remember placards like this.

The placards were made in 1986-1990.

1st placard depicting Vladimir Lenin.

Soviet placard of the XXVII Congress of the Communist Party with V.Lenin

See also a badge, depicting Vladimir Lenin, issued to the delegates of the 27th Congress. The functionaries of KPSS wore such a badges on the lapel of the suit.

Second placard has the big word "KPSS", a short version of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.

Third photo depicting a placard with the words "XXVII Congress of KPSS" at the building of the Historical Museum, which is situated in the Red Square, in the centre of Moscow.

On the next placard there is a strange slogan "Party is an immortality of our business!" I don't think that it makes sense. Probably, it is a quotation from a speech of a KPSS leader like Leonid Brezhnev taking out of context.

A main task for soviet people was to work and to fulfil a plan of a previous Congress of the USSR Communist Party. On the working places was a visual agitation for fulfilment of the plan. A part of a project of such agitation in a workshop you can see below. The slogan of it is 'Our achievements in the work to XXVII Congress of the Communist Party.' Below the slogan there are a photo of a brigade and a report that this brigade have fulfilled a plan of work for a year. It is a Soviet Union placard of 1980s.

The photos are from the russian book of S.Smirnov "A font in the visual agitation".

These USSR placards have remind me an old soviet anecdote, that I was told by a classmate then I was a schoolgirl. The action takes place in USSR. A Communist Party lecturer comes to a soviet town for agitation. The bill of his lecture is "A lecture about KPSS". Nobody comes. Then they write another bill "A lecture about 3 kinds of love". /* I should remind, that in the USSR press it was used a phrase "there is no sex in our country" :-() */ After the second bill the house is full. The lecturer goes to scene and begins: "My lecture is about 3 kinds of love. 1st kind of love is love between a man and a woman. You all know about it. The 2nd kind of love is parents' love. This kind of love is also well-known. And the 3rd kind of love is love to our dear Communist Party. Now I'm going to talk about it..."

It had been made in XIIth century in Kievan Rus'.Such a ring-pendant was named kolt. Kolt is an old russian women's empty pendant. Pairs of kolts had been suspended to the headdress (kokoshnik) from the both sides. Woman had worn 3 pendants on each temple.
At the XI century Kievan Rus (Kievan Russia), also known as Ancient Russian state, was a strong country. We have already looked at the prince of Kievan Rus of this period. And here you can see clothes, that had been wearing only by prince and his closes feudal lords. These feudal lords had wearing cloaks corzno (looks like cloaks of Byzantine) and tunics made from expensive Byzantine fabric.
It is from the handwritten book "Izbornik of Svyatoslav" which had been written at 1073 for Svyatoslav, a prince of Kiev. At the drawing there is prince Svyatoslav and his family.

The prince is wearing green caftan (also named svita), blue cloak corzno, round hat with the fur and green boots made from morocco (a kind of leather).

You can also look at the top feudal lords of Kievan Rus'.
I have a russian magazine (album of models) "The knitting", which was published in 1988 by G. Ilina. In this magazine I have found this original blouse. It is made from the fabric of the pavlovskiy headkerchief and decorated by knitting strip (lace).

Russian women don't really wear such blouses.

The pavlovskiy headkerchief is also known as pavloposadskiy headkerchief. It is a name for a headkerchief made in the town Pavlovskiy Posad in the Moscow area. The handkerchiefs with the tradition colourful printed ornament are made there from 1860-1880.

You can see some of the pavlovskiy handkerchiefs here http://pavlovoposadskie-platki.ru/.

P.S. Today, June 29, I have seen on the street of Voronezh this advertising of pavlovskiy handkerchiefs on the side of a fixed-run taxi.
He is noted for many innovations in costumes. So, he had designed models of clothes by the colourful sketches of Russian painter Leon Baxt for the Russian ballets of Dyagilev's troupe (Russian Seasons in Paris).

In 1911-1912 Paul Poiret was travelled Russia. Under the influence of this trip he has made an original costume. You can see it on the draw. It is a dress from brown Holland named "Kazan" and a winter fur coat in style of Russian fur coat.

(Kazan is a city in Russian Federation, a capital of Tatarstan.)
