Hi Guys!

Thanks for clicking on the link and wanting to read what I have to say. As you can see, I use to write on this platform a loooong time ago, it’s always been something I wanted to start back up and with the push of a friend I said, “why not”. I know there are a ton of bloggers out there now, some with better writing and use of this thing “;”, but I’ve never been good at editing my work, so please let me know if I messed up somewhere, but also please don’t judge this. I’m doing this for fun, to connect with others, and to get feedback from people so I can grow. I’ve only had one guy troll my social media before, it was a date gone bad, and I am not looking for more. Enjoy what you can, please feel free to share, feel free to connect with me, and I hope I can connect with you somehow and some way.

I was offered a fantastic job back in January, it was a huge career step up which meant the production would take me with them when they traveled abroad. We went to fun places like Lake Placid, NY, but we also went to Iceland, Scotland, and Croatia. Right before we were about to leave for Iceland, I was finishing up a 6-week health coaching with Beth Clayton. I was working with Beth on understanding why I self-sabotage with food. I also had been and continue to go to therapy every week at Paradox Process. I tell you this to explain I was well supported by professionals and always running from therapy to a phone coaching session for months. The timing of the job taking me abroad had been perfect, I had gained A LOT of knowledge and awareness with Beth and therapy explored the deep-rooted childhood story I was telling myself and how food played a huge part in that story.

When the thought of being abroad came to mind, I would envision myself being free. Free from the box of self-help I was in, free to try new foods, free to explore the world on someone else’s dime, free to live life with no responsibilities like meal prepping, grocery shopping, etc. I was so excited to try all of the foods, and all of the drinks, and have all of the experiences I could fit into the reason I was there, to film a fantastic show. I had such deep awareness of myself that I felt all I wanted to do was to shelf it for a while and enjoy my life, and I did just that. I ate the best hot dogs of my life in Iceland, I became a gin drinker, I drank a beer at 7am in Scotland with the crew from Games of Thrones after doing an overnight shoot, I also laid in my hotel bed many nights and ate potato chips and gummy candies watching prison shows on Netflix.

I got back to the US and it was as if the minute I touched the ground I felt immediate stress to be thin. My clothing was fitting tighter, the scale flashed a number that was higher than I could remember seeing in years, and I even went so far as to think it was why I still was single. “This is the third heaviest I have ever been” was a running thought I had. One month in Scotland felt like I had thrown myself, the part of me that was so controlled, away, but at the same time I thought that it had felt wonderful to take a break from trying to have the perfect body. It had felt wonderful to have fully invested in every amazing part of traveling abroad. Beth had taught me what internal powerful choices felt like, Andrea my therapist had told me that telling the story that I was “unworthy and unlovable as I was” wasn’t going to get me anywhere I wanted to go. I knew this shit and yet I still felt deep upset with myself.

One day as I was scrolling through Instagram, I watched a video from Shirin Eskandani . In the video Shrini had also had the best year of her life but had gained weight during it. She listed everything she had accomplished and everything in life she had fully jumped into, like getting married. She powerfully explained that her weight gain didn’t make her less worthy of happiness and it didn’t take away from any joy she had felt that year.

“We equate weight gain as if we are failing at life, that we are “out of control” or that we “lack discipline”. But the truth is that if we shift the lense just a little, we may see that our weight gain is actually a result of us enjoying the sh*t out of life. Our weight gain may be a sign that our priorities shifted, and we don’t have time to give a f*ck about our weight. Because there are more exciting things to be focusing our energy on.”

It me.

I needed to hear that to re-focus myself. I was happy with how I had experienced traveling abroad, food makes me happy and I fully embraced that while traveling. But “Everyday Midge” was trying to make herself sad about it, I was trying to play a victim to myself, I was taking the change I felt from traveling abroad and making a story that wasn’t true to my gut. Yeah, my pants are tight, but I also went to the blue lagoon with the filming crew, and I also saw glaciers in Iceland, and I also climbed Arthur’s Seat in Edinburg and felt the wind on my face from 822 feet above. Fuck my pant size.

Once I realized that I was ok as is and not a victim of my own doing, I realized that yes…I did want to try and loose some of the weight and it was ok! It didn’t come from a place of rejection of self, restriction, or stress. It came from a place of internal calm. I wanted to get my pull up, I wanted to feel confident in the bikini I bought for my vacation in Mexico, I wanted to achieve a goal of losing weight by the end of December. I had noticed that my feet were swelling at night, that sometimes my fingers swelled, and my ring was tight, that my knees hurt the next day when I drank the night before. I wanted to not eat crafty and catering at work, I wanted to learn how to find balance in my 12-hour day, I wanted to take on the “working in film and tv is so hard to lose weight” mentality most of us have. I was tired of my victimness. I was tired of the sugar migraines I had the next day after trying to stay awake the night before. So, with complete balance I knew I needed to start with my food and that’s when I signed up for Eatnomsquared. They made it simple for me to work 12 hours and know I had a balanced healthy meal to eat when they called “LUNCH” at 7pm. I could plug the calories they listed into myfitness pal and plan the rest of my food around it. I also signed up for personal training and nutrition coaching from Elizabeth Stacey. With her help she created a macro breakdown of what I needed every day. Her program writing plus eatnomsquared meals would assist me in reaching my goal of losing 10 lbs. by the end of December.

I have adjusted my self-help box and made it work for what I need now, I have found a community of people to help aide me in progressing towards my shift in goals. My time in Iceland and Scotland were the most life affirming moments I have felt in a very long time. Now that I am back, I have remembered and taken what I learned before I left and applied it to my life now. I have become a different woman with this knowledge. I have created space to change and grow. I have set myself up to be powerful every day because I have a planned meal to eat or an idea of what I need for a successful day. I feel in control of myself and don’t look back with regret. This is who I am today. I was still Midge when I was eating Haggis at a pub laughing with my coworker. I have room to be both, because I allow myself to have room.

Skinnytaste: Sausage, Cheese, and Veggie Egg Bake

Ever since I started my Mark Fisher Fitness journey last year, starting with their snatched program that I did for 6 weeks then moving on to their regular class schedule, I have tried to maintain a healthy food intake. In the snatched program they teach you how to eat properly without giving you a meal plan, they want you to figure it out for yourself. They give you the tools: what movements to do for an hour, how many workouts to do a week, what fat, protein, carbohydrate, percentages you need for your calorie range, and their full attention and support through the whole process. It was an extremely empowering experience to go through. I learned how to care for my long term health and make myself a priority.

Now that I am doing two workouts there a week and trying to do workouts on my own from home, finding the time for working out and eating well has been my biggest challenge. One really needs willpower, presence in every meal, and visualizing the end goal which for me is weight loss and healthy living. I usually plan out my meals and make them every week, but I struggle with sugar, emotional eating, and late night snacking. Engaging in all of those triggers doesn't make me wake up and feel my best the next morning, it doesn't solve any problems or make the stress of life disappear, but eating well and nutritiously daily gives me a boost to know I am strong and can get through any challenges that come my way because I have fought through the food cravings telling myself it isn't worth it in the end. I do believe I have been able to grow leaps and bounds from when I started the snatched program to today.

One of the quotes that MFF used a lot during snatched was taken from Benjamin Franklin, "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail" so since I want to "win" at maintaining my weight loss, I planned my meals for the week starting with breakfast. I just pulled out of the oven the Sausage, Cheese, and Veggie Egg Bake from Skinnytaste's website.

At only 230 calories, starting my weekly mornings off with a nutritious and easy to warm up breakfast makes me feel like I have the willpower to succeed.

After sleeping successfully for 8 hours, eating this with some fresh fruit for breakfast, and jumping into this workout from the Girl's Gone Strong website I feel proud of myself and my accomplishments all before noon.

A Simple Mantra to Get You Through...

I felt compelled to write a blog tonight, I know...its been some time ;)

I deal with a lot of sabotaging thoughts and anxiety, but I am on the road to conquering it. I try every morning with all of my might to wake up and feel new and excited for my day. Lately I have been waking up and heading straight for the gym. I have been doing an app called "0-5k". The app helps you learn to run up to a 5k/35 mins. Every time you use the app there is a new amount of time you need to run for, it could be 10 minutes straight one day and the next day it would say 15 minutes. There have been some days I have woken up scared, telling myself "I don't think I can run 15 minutes straight". This is where something so simple can be implemented and though I do mantra's in the shower every morning, I never thought to do them running. My friend Christi actually texted this to me one day when I was telling her I was having a lot of trouble getting to the next running stage, she said to repeat:

"my pace is perfect"

Before she told me about this simple mantra, the thought of running a straight 20 minutes terrified me to the point that I probably manifested the pains in my stomach so sever I had to stop running or the sudden rush of nausea when I looked at the timer and still had 15 more minutes to go, unable to finish. "My pace is perfect" repeated in my head the following day and it got me through the first straight 20 minute run I had ever accomplished. It also got me through the second 20 minute run the next day, and tomorrow it will get me through a 25 minute run.

Waking up in the morning and giving myself a challenge....1) getting to the gym and 2) accomplishing something that made me feel proud of myself only reinforced my beliefs that I am a person of strength, slowly crushing the negative thoughts one by one.

I think I will expand on this blog post and tell you next time about what I do to reinforce the positive thoughts about myself everyday when getting ready for work.

Go out there and challenge yourself, you will feel so proud of yourself after!

A Little Art On A Saturday

I came across the artist Fabian Oefner on my dinner break today.

The black lines separating all the vibrant colors and the shapes are what grabbed me at first, it looks so simple yet so complex when up close. He created his art by using a substance called ferrofluid and a magnet. The fluid and magnet repel each other while the water color is inserted with a syringe. If you are wondering exactly what the process looks like you can find the video here.

I also really like his iridient artwork. The playful nature of the subject is what makes me smile, reminding someone of the good parts of their childhood, standing on the sidewalk and blowing bubbles in the summer is usually a memory most people have. The colors of the soap have always amazed me as a child, but the shape it forms and the bubble popping makes you imagine it moving through the sky in front of you.

I'm not one to put on blast what has happened in my life. I don't want pity or sad eyes staring at me. I like to believe I am strong and even though I may shed some tears and need a friends shoulder every once and a while, mentally and emotionally I know I can steer through any troubled waters knowing I am stronger then I realize.

2012 started off with grieving for a major unexpected loss in my life, I've never lost a family member at an age where it would hit me so hard. Learning how it felt to be blind sided and learning how it truly felt to be sad because I didn't get to say goodbye was something I never really knew till it smacked me in my face.

2012 also started with uncertainty about my health. I was told I had cancer. I was informed that the cancer was probably spreading and I would need surgery. There are no words to describe the feeling of not knowing what your body is doing to itself or what is to be expected in the future. Will my dreams of getting married happen? Will I have children? Will I be able to complete all my life goals? I had my first major surgery in February of 2012 and have a scar across my neck. That scar, though is hard to still look at, reminds me every day that I am here, I am alive, I am healthy, and I thankful for my health every day. I ended up not having cancer and had a benign tumor removed in the end. That experience transformed me to take better care of myself and question what enters my temple.

Not only 1 month later I was hit with fear again. My father is living with stage 4 cancer. Living is the key word I had to learn and repeat to myself every day. He wakes up every morning, he still is able to work, he is still able to cook his amazing meals for family and friends who want to spend time with him, and he is still able to laugh. My father is my family's rock and from the day he got his diagnosis we have learned to be his rock. We all have stepped up to care for him, he is our everything.

Through this year I have been forced out of my naive world (that I never knew I was in until these events happened) and I have entered my 30's. I am becoming the woman I want to be. I am strong. I am able to follow what feels best for me. I have many still unanswered questions looming in my head, but at least I am confident to know I will answer them one day.

My blog is my safe haven. I am confident in knowing I'm not asking for attention. I simply want a place to rest my words before this year is out.

Kind Bars

I just tried a Kind Bar for the first time today and was in love! Not only is it made up of good ingredients (no high fructose, no GMO's, gluten and wheat free, low sodium), but it's tastes wonderful!

I had the Vanilla Blueberry and not only does it have real blueberries but almonds and cashews as well.

For 180 calories, I consider that a great snack!

Rant on a Friday morning

I get so frustrated sometimes because I don't have money like some of these other bloggers who can post a different outfit for you every day and can buy $230 perfume from Barneys. I am a serious regular Joe that has no money in her budget right now to even go to Target and buy herself a new pair of shoes. I hate my wardrobe and I would love nothing more then to update it and look current, but I barely have enough money to pay all my bills every week.

I wish I could be here more for you guys style wise etc. but maybe my blog just shouldn't be about that since I cant produce it for you. I love clothing though...:(

Anyways, excuse my loathing...sometimes it pops up.

Daily Thoughts...

Lately I have been wanting to change my focus. Instead of watching bad tv and reading gossip magazines I have decided to spend my time reading things that educate me, inspire me, open me up spiritually, and give me a push forward on my road to finding myself and loving myself.

I have found that there is no greater self worth then spending time with yourself and finding ways to improve who you are. I'm reading about how to play in the stock market, how to save more money weekly, how to release emotional baggage, how to eat so my body feels happier, and about history that effects all of us today.

I'm not coming from a place of thinking I'm better then anyone, I just feel inspired and want to inspire others along with me.

Wreath Making with my Mother

I've been home for a month now after having surgery and I have gotten a lot done just on my own, but I had planned to do some artwork and crafting as well. My Mom and Dad were staying with me for some time to help me out with anything that required lifting or bending, and I decided to bother my Mom to finally show me how to make a proper wreath! When I first moved into my apartment my Mother made me the most beautiful green wreath that I proudly hung on my door for 3 straight years during winter, spring, summer, and fall. So I took her to Michael's near my house and had her teach me the tricks of her trade. Here is a step by step process.

First you make a mess of Michael's and grab all the flowers you like .

Once you have the flowers you like you start matching the sizes of the flowers by the way the petals look together, colors, and formation of a bouquet.

These are the tools you will need to work with your wreath: glue sticks, hot glue gun, and wire cutters or pliers.

Once the flowers are home, start arraigning them into the wreath the way you like them.

Remember to start with dark on the bottom and bring the lighter colors near the top of the arraignment. Also, add other flower accessories such as leaves, berries, etc. It fills the wreath and gives the eye more to look at.

Once you weave all the flower ends into the wreath you then hot glue them into place. It's super easy and fast and if you want a flower to hold into a certain angle, glue that sucker down exactly the way you want it to lay.

Every wreath needs a bow. When buying ribbon make sure it has wire in it. The wire makes it easier to form the kind of bow you want.

After wrapping the ribbon around the wreath then gluing the bow down you can maneuver the bow edges and give it some character so it is not just laying flat. Make sure also to leave some ends to hang down, it adds the drama to your door!

Costume Dressing

As you guys may remember I have a fascination with bandannas and also with being scared of fashion. Lets start with my love of bandannas:

Maybe it started with field hockey in middle school. I was a goalie and my first real scrimmage I remember my bangs in my eyes and I couldn't see anything that was going on. I went home and found a red and yellow bandanna that had been my mothers. That's when I started collecting bandannas. Gap Kids always had the best collection.

I am afraid of some fashion because I feel I am wearing a costume and I can't pull it off as a real ensemble. Maybe its being self conscious, but the minute I have something on that doesn't feel natural, it starts feeling like I am walking around with Rudolph's nose on. Everyone is looking and pointing and saying "Whats up with that?". Yes, New York City is the place to be yourself and be free, but I haven't come that far yet.

So getting to the point, I found these images from different sites that I loved. Whether I will rock them is to be unsure, but I can dream can't I?

Still Life 101

So my new year has started off with a return of a hobby I loved and missed

PAINTING!!

I decided to take painting 101 at an art school near my house and without getting all wishy washy on you it was a great decision. I probably haven't painted in 2 years, I use to paint every day in college. Picking up a hobby again that you once did and that brought a lot of joy, as I am sure you know brings that joy right back but ten fold. The class is filled with retires, but that's actually a breath of fresh air. New conversations, new takes on life, and new things to learn that I don't get on a constant basis.

We started with a still life, so here it is. I won't be bashful or nervous about showing my work....it is what it is and it makes me happy. That's all that matters these days, making yourself happy.

Happy New Year!

I haven't posted in a long long time but I wanted to wish anyone who may see this a very happy new year!

Thinking back on my 2011 year it could be looked at as one of sadness in loosing my Aunt (my first real death of a loved one) and loosing my best friends mother. But I also took a huge relationship leap and matured through experiences.

I'm ending 2011 with uncertainty with my health, a challenge I have never faced before but I know that 2012 will have the answers I need (plus a missing body part haha). I am fearful of 2012 but there is no stopping it from coming so I am choosing to embrace it and take it for what it will be worth.

Cheers to 2011 and thank you to the heavens for being able to see 2012.

Good hair day, HOLLA!

Well, I think I finally did it. I finally curled my hair around a curling barrel and made it work. I was running into some problems because my hair is layered, but I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out today. I kind of went by the advice I learned from my previous YouTube post, where Joey from the Rachel Zoe camp showed us how to create her signature waves. Have any of you tried this look?

Product Review: Benefit's Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow

I was recently shopping for a new eyeshadow when my friend at work recommended I look into Benefit's creaseless cream eyeshadow. She knows my deal with makeup, I'm learning how to actually apply it and what to put on (like here and here). When she told me that it lasted her a whole night I knew this was the eyeshadow for me because it will give me back a little time in my day where one can skip their beauty regime for reapplying and find something more useful with that second.

I bought the "flatter me" color and have been really happy with the shade on my skin tone. Its a deep pink, but doesn't scream color on my lid. It adds just a hint of shimmer and when paired with my liner and mascara adds an easy day wear look. These pictures document my face from leaving my house for work to getting home.

Its still holding on! I did read a very emotional part of my book so I cried a little (T.M.I?) and used a tissue, but I don't think a lot wore off after 14 hours. Also, these eyeshadow are very blendable so next night on the town for me I am going to try and play around with other colors. Hope to show you the results!

Happy Halloween!!

Let me tell you about this beautiful glittery sign!

It got my holiday decoration juices flowing FINALLY after being in a little slump since the weather changed. It was given to me by two girls I dress who have created a company called Sensibly Chic. Not only do they make these "Chic Speak" signs for all your holidays and parties, but they also will help you decorate for all your functions as well as offering a slew of other useful design elements (event planning and life styling). As soon as I took it home and hung it on my lonely door it was pretty obvious that it needed some other Halloween/fall decorations to go with it, off to Home Depot I went and picked up some mums and pumpkins.

This is the first time I have decorated my front "porch" and in doing so I realized just how happy it makes me feel to come home to see this scene every night and how happy it makes me when I pull out of my driveway for another full day of work. While cleaning out my bookmarked list of all of the blogs I plan to explore some day, I came across a blog called The Amateur Gourmet. I unfortunately didn't get to into the blog post by the time I saw a link to another blog called Midtown Lunch, obviously this excited me to no end because not only do I work in Midtown NYC but, I am always jumping off my Port Authority bus trying to think of a cheap place to pick up lunch before I head into work.

This blog at one point was only reporting on where to find a $10 lunch in Midtown, but has now stretched its wings and found people to report on where to find a $10 lunch in not only midtown, but downtown NYC, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles. You can click on where you are interested in searching by name, location, food type, picks (the owner of the blog's top picks), and a reader's poll. The radius for its midtown meals seems to stretch from 34th st. up to Central Park at 59th st.

My general "run for lunch" area is 37th St. to 43rd and with their map I have found a food truck I am SO excited to try, Comme Ci Comme Ca that is usually found on Broadway and 36th. It serves Mediterranean food and through twitter and their website (link is above) you can see what their specials are and where they will be found if they are parked in a new location. Gotta try this place for sure, and if anyone has tried it please give me a review!

The second place I am DYING to try is Aries Cafe on 39th between 7th and 8th Ave. This latin "restaurant" has no menu and is in the hallway of a freight elevator! You really cant get more New York then that. I love me some latin food, all day I could eat fried plantains, rice and beans and this place seems (from the reviews) to serve some of the best of both plus their stewed goat and chicken is supposed to be rather tasty. I know, I know....stewed goat from a place in a freight elevator hallway? But, I am so desperate to find new places to eat I am willing to risk it plus Aries Cafe has been open for 15 years so in my book they have to be doing something right.

A Bryant Park Sunday

Even though I work on Sundays, the day still feels like it did when I was in school; relaxed and casual. To go on that theme, last Sunday I was craving a cup of soup and calmness so I took myself to Bryant Park and enjoyed the sites. There was a jazz band playing, small birds searching for food, a wedding reception, and the perfect people watching seat.

Smores Crescent Rolls!

I was browsing Pinterest's food section and kept seeing an image for a crescent roll filled with marshmallows and chocolate chips. I knew I shouldn't but I had to try it, so today was the lucky day, no big errands to run, no appointments, and I plan on seeing a gym later and take my leftovers to work.

These are the 3 ingredients, just marshmallows, chocolate chunks , and crescent rolls! Easy Peasy!

Fresh outta the oven, marshmallows have melted and hopefully it tastes good!

Paired with some fresh berries it made a sweet breakfast

As I stated before I would have definitely put more chocolate in the crescent rolls mainly because the marshmallows melt and you cant taste them AT ALL in the bread, so really there kinda was no point in putting them in the rolls at all. The rolls were buttery and pulled apart so beautifully but more chocolate would have definitely made it over the top for a chocolate freak like me.

Chiffon Pleated Skirts

Everywhere I look I see a chiffon pleated skirt and I'm really starting to want one of my own!

I found this picture of Olivia Palermo at her photo shoot for the "50 most stylish new yorkers" at stylecaster.com. She is wearing a pleated skirt from Topshop, which makes me very happy being the ever budget friendly shopper! I pieced together some looks that are priced high and low and dressed up as well as dressed down so you can wear this look at work or going out.

Look What The Post Man Brought Me!

I got a present in the mail from Lindsay Vallan and since I am so excited to now own one of her pieces I wanted to show you just how beautiful her work is close up!

A beautiful long necklace that I can wear so many ways!

Real amethyst, gold gems, and rainbow white crystals are strung by hand with a gold rosebud closure.

A Druzy Crystal Pendant hangs beautifully at the loop of the necklace.

Day 4 and I haven't taken it off except to shower/sleep!

A crystal wrap necklace

I went to a fabulous brunch on Sunday with my friend Brandon at Eatery. While laughing and enjoying my meal with my handsome date I noticed he had a beautiful blue stone necklace on. He works for Bergdorf Goodman and always seems to know what is popular, what is the new "it" thing, and what is gonna be a big hit. Come to find out he was wearing a piece of jewelry from Lindsay Vallan, the new "it" designer for Bergdorfs.

Brandon told me that Lindsay's pieces were made from hand using precious stones, vintage charms, pearls, and crystals. Here is one of Brandon's necklaces:

Rhodonite with crystals, gold beads, and a charm

While browsing her website I started falling in love with all the different combinations of stones she uses as well as the information she gives you about the crystals and what each of their healing powers are. The charms that are used range from one of a kind pieces found in foreign countries to vintage charms found by Lindsay her self. She offers single strand necklaces as well as multiple stands necklace ranging from long to short in length.

The raw crystals, i think are really beautiful as an organic shape and the multi strand crystals that are layered looks beautiful as well. Her prices range from $500-$1000, yes its high but I have to say, the weight and beauty of her jewelry is really amazing close up. The line is definitely statement pieces for the new age so, a piece from Lindsay Vallan will definitely be in the cards and can be worn so many ways, I'm dreaming of it now!

Home Again

I know....I know....I went M.I.A, I apologize. I have no excuses because every day I woke up and said to myself "I should blog", but everyday went by and I didn't. I hope to get back into the swing of things and find/make the time again because whether you hate my blog or love it, this blog created a sense of creativity for me and was my own. I don't own much in this world besides a college education I'm paying off and a few pairs of shoes, but this blog was my art when I couldn't put glue stick to paper (I collage as a form of art).

So here are some things that I have been working on when I wasn't blogging.

Currently reading: Jillian Michaels: Unlimited.

(I am trying to be a positive person. Though sometimes she can be a little annoying, she says all the things women who needs some confidence and a push should be told. She inspires me to challenge my mind and go for anything I want.)

Currently working on: Getting my bootie up and going to the gym every day

Currently wearing: anything I bought 3-4 years ago because I have been trying to save money

Currently loving: bright colored pants

(I love this look, but a little scared on how to pull it off. One big issue I have is that I don't like to wear heels to work. I wonder if the outfit will look the same with flats? I need to get more color in my wardrobe and take some risks)

Currently wishing I had: endless money
Currently thinking: I may want to go back to being a brunette?
Currently considering: Heading down on my dinner break to the Haute Hippie sample sale and window shop
Currently wearing my hair: Like this....its a non wash hair day

Fashion Luck!

I'm taking a fashion risk today. I bought these pants from Jacob a year ago and still have never worn them. I originally bought them to wear to fashion week (I haven't attended yet, I just work it), but chickened out the night before. I like the pants but what I am afraid of is if they look to harem style for a bigger girl and if the pull around the waist is too much.

I got up the nerve to wear them today because,

Its so hot out, and they are very lightweight
I saw a woman on fashion ave. (7th ave.) yesterday rocking a look that outside of NYC, I thought she would look crazy, but it was her no care/confident way about her that let her carry it off.
I felt inspired to try something different with my look

Well here goes, I'm stepping out of the house with these on....wish me fashion luck!
