In the second half of the podcast the SEC conference is previewed. The consensus is that the SEC West could be a good race between Mississippi, LSU, and Alabama; while the SEC East seems to be Florida's to lose. Also in this podcast, we talk about the job Steve Spurrier is doing in South Carolina, and the chances Tennessee has in making a bowl game this season.

David gives his thoughts about the strengths and weaknesses of Penn State, Ohio State, and Illinois. He also weighs in on head coaches Rich Rodriguez and Bret Bielema. Finally, he predicts the Big Ten champion, which ended up to be a bit of a surprise pick in my opinion.
The Big 12 North is also discussed in the second half of this 40 minute podcast. We all agree that the North is a bit behind the South in quality of teams. Nebraska, Kansas, and Colorado are the three teams the experts are picking to win the North, but will it come down to schedule and not talent for those teams? Listen to the podcast and find out.

Since 2004, HP has been breaking down the Heisman race week by week, telling us who has the best chance and who's Heisman hopes went down the drain. He has even published a set of Heismandments, or guidelines on who can win the Heisman Trophy for a given year.

Chris talks about the top candidates for this upcoming season, while Adam and I ask about other players like Terrelle Pryor, Max Hall, Noel Devine, Jevan Snead, and Jimmy Clausen. Check out the podcast to see what HP says about their chances. We apologize for some of the sound issues; the Heisman Pundit was in a non-cell phone friendly area.
