Control Microsystems announces the launch of TelePACE Studio, the completely reworked programming environment for SCADAPack controllers. TelePACE Studio is designed with ease of use in mind offering a customizable workspace that allows the user to arrange the layout of program information to best suit their needs. Controller settings, ladder logic editor, debugging information and diagnostics may all be viewed at the same time if so desired.

Ladder Logic editing is more efficient with new drag-and-drop logic elements and single click access to element configuration. Automatic suggestion of unused Modbus addresses is provided for element configuration blocks to prevent addressing conflicts. In addition, an unlimited Undo and Redo feature conveniently saves your editing history, encouraging confidence when editing.

“TelePACE Studio is truly a user-friendly programming environment”, says Dale Symington, VP Product Strategy. “On-line editing now maintains a list of changes in memory and which are only written to the controller when initiated by the user.”

To prevent errors before downloading an application, there is enhanced program validation in TelePACE Studio during editing. With the new diagnostic view, all warnings, errors and informational messages are logged with time stamp, color coding and sorting filters for convenient readability.

To further enhance efficiency, when debugging multiple projects at the same time, such as a master and slave application, multiple instances of TelePACE Studio may be run at the same time allowing each project to be debugged simultaneously.

Product Line Expansion of SCADARange Wireless Process Instruments

The Al10 and AV10 multi-input field units are ideal for applications requiring wireless connectivity for analog and digital signals.

Control Microsystems announced an expansion today of the SCADARange product line with a new multi-input field unit and the addition of a high-gain antenna option and remote sensor mounting on selected SCADARange field units.

Designed for use in applications where traditional wired sensor connections are not physically or financially feasible, SCADARange products are easily deployed to wirelessly transmit data through a centralized base radio station, over a secure 900MHz license-free connection. With the capability to scale up to as many as 16 wireless instrumentation LANs, each with 50 instruments, SCADARange accommodates future expansion without difficulty.

The SCADARange AI10 and AV10 wireless multi-input field units provide dual analog inputs in either current (4-20mA) or voltage (0-10V) configurations. Each unit is comprised of an integrated input module, signal conditioner, RF transceiver and antenna, and also includes two discrete contact closure inputs for simple apparatus.

“With their limitless applications and unique ability to last up to 5 years on a battery, the SCADARange product line has experienced strong initial sales”, said Dale Symington, VP Product Strategy. “The multi-input field unit with explosion-proof housing is just the first of many expansions planned for these cost-effective products.”

The high-gain YAGI antenna option is available on the AI10 and AV10 Multi-Input Field Units, the GL10 Gauge Level Field Unit, and the GP10 Gauge Pressure Field Unit. The remote sensor option is available on the RT10 RTD Temperature Field Unit, TC10 Thermocouple Field Unit, and the GP10 Gauge Pressure Field Unit.

December 22, 2008 Aquamatic Limited and INC Technical have introduced the 10th model in the Aquamatic Aquacell range, the Aquacell S50. Representing the entry level model within its Stationary Sampler series, the S50 is designed for indoor, wall mounted applications.

Red Lion proudly announces the release of the new G3 Kadet series of operator interfaces. Offering many of the essential capabilities of the original G3 series, this new series is comprised of three models that provide exceptional value and further enhance the impressive range of G3 interfaces.

The G3 Kadets provide more communications capability than any HMI in their class. The 4.3" model has two serial ports, while the six-inch and eight-inch models have three serial ports as well as an Ethernet port capable of communicating via four protocols simultaneously. New SCADAWave Ultra JR50 Ethernet Data Radio

Control Microsystems announces the newest addition to the SCADAWave line of wireless data radios; the SCADAWave JR50 spread spectrum Ethernet data radio.

Taking advantage of “IP over Ethernet” technologies, the JR50 utilizes portable network access to extend corporate offices onto the plant floor and beyond to remote assets such as field-installed controllers and intelligent sensors.

Combining standard features like dual Ethernet ports, a built-in Ethernet switch, extended operational temperature range and ruggedized metal enclosure, the JR50 is designed for challenging applications. The product is configured using an embedded HTML web server that also provides network management and remote diagnostics capabilities. No additional software is required.

Control Microsystems, global developer of advanced SCADA products, today announced the release of the SCADAPack 330E and 334E, two exciting additions to the SCADAPack family of telemetry and control devices. These cost-effective controllers are based on the popular SCADAPack 330/334 hardware platform and address the growing demand for secure and authenticated data.

The SCADAPack 330E and 334E provide multi-vendor interoperability and reliable communications through native DNP3 and IEC 60870-5. Data integrity for billable applications or critical operations is supported with AGA12 encryption.

Designed for use in applications where traditional wired sensor connections are not physically or financially feasible, SCADARange products are easily deployed to wirelessly transmit data through a centralized base radio station, over a secure 900MHz license-free connection. Up to 100 field devices can be polled at user-configured time intervals by a single base radio in a variety of network configurations.

Using the industry-standard Modbus protocol over a serial link, data from SCADARange can be passed through to most SCADA system elements including PLCs, RTUs, and SCADA hosts.

These electrode systems have been designed to reduce equipment and installation costs while improving reliability. Measurement parameters include pH, ORP, Free Chlorine, Raw Water Turbidity, Dissolved Oxygen, Dissolved Ozone and Conductivity.

The AdvantEDGE Series™ systems feature factory pre-calibrated electrodes. The electrodes can subsequently be checked for calibration, diagnosed and configured directly from a PLC or other computer system (e.g., SCADA). Although they are available for use if desired, a local display/analyzer is not necessary.

Numerous integrated communications protocols are supported, including Modbus RTU, RS-232, RS-485 ASCII, Profibus, CANOpen, DeviceNet, Ethernet IP, and USB.
