Birth of INCLIP

INCLIP " Indian Council of Life Professionals" is the brain child of Sri.C.K.Karun, D.L.I.M. Chairman Club Member and supported by some of his like minded friends the dedicated Life Insurance Professionals LIC.

He had a dream that Life Insurance Professional of the country should have an institution of their own which would enhance their image in society. They also wanted to create an insurance education and research centre to sharpen their professional skills and a customer care centre to be of assistance and guidance to the insurance customers.

To give a concrete shape to their ideas a meeting was held on 15th Jan 1999 at IIM Bangalore in the August presence of Dr.Mohan Rao Director IIMB, Dr.K.R.S.Murthy, past Director IIMB and LIC Board member, Sri R.Thothadri Ex.MD,LIC, Sri M.I.Nehryji Entrepreneur, Mgt/Mktg. Consultant and other eminent dignitaries from Life Insurance Industry.In this meeting the professionals got guidance, support and blessings of these eminent men, for their venture. The office bearers for INCLIP were also selected in the meeting.

To translate the ideas it was decided to identify the following activities

and a brief update of all these activities are as under:

1. An Educational Institution called NASIER "National School of Insurance Education and Research" to impart world class training in insurance selling to the insurance salesmen was started. NASIER was born in a meeting held on 4th Sept 1999 where the structure was worked out and Sri.Ramanathan, former ED of LIC who had vast experience in sales and marketing was taken as Hony.Director of NASIER.

NASIER was formally inaugurated at the hands of Dr.K.R.S.Murthy on 3rd Oct 1999.

Upto February 2001 NASIER conducted many advanced training courses for the existing LIC agents on subjects life customer supremacy, selling skills, Business Insurance, Tax laws, Financial Planning, creative selling, underwriting and host of other useful subjects. A good course materials also been developed.

NASIER was the first to get IRDA accredition for conducting Pre-recruitment training for new agents. NASIER was the first to start IRDA training in Feb'2001 at Bangalore. Since then NASIER has been conducting IRDA sessions uninterruptedly up till now Indeed NASIER has emrged as a "Flagship" Institute among many institutes in Bangalore.

NASIER got permission form IRDA to conduct training classes at Mangalore and Dharwad. At Mangalore 3 sessions were also conducted.

Around 1000 agents have been successfully training by NASIER so far with a pass percentage of 98 to 99. The input given at NASIER goes beyond the prescribed study courses/syllabus of IRDA and is highly appreciated by the users.

In addition to the IRDA training, NASIER will also hold need based training sessions for the existing LIC and Company agents. The advanced training programme will be announce soon.

The seminars on various subjects to bring awareness and update for Insurance professionals is unique feature. The Post-Budget meetings to explain the Union budget conducted for Insurance professionals has became a special attraction.

CITY CHAPTER - One of the important activities of INCLIP to hold a monthly regular meeting of professionals in the city is taking place on every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month. The professionals exchange their views and experiences for mutual benefit.

2. INSURANCE CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE & CARE CENTRE (INCACE) was set up by the INCLIP to help the insurance customers.

The INCACE will give advice to the public and insurance customers on insurance matters. The centre is well equipped with men and modern gadgets to render support efficiently round the clock.

The INCACE was dedicated to the public at the hands of Honble Justice Mr.Kumar Rajarathnam of Karnataka High Court on the world consumer rights day on 15th March 2002.

The continued support, guidance and help from the doyen of insurance industry and management institution and the patronage enjoyed with LIC and the new Companies, INCLIP-NASIER-INCACE and CITY CHAPTER are bound to achieve more and more success in their progressive path. The mission of INCLIP is to bring professionalism in selling & servicing of Insurance.

INCLIP is a Mission, a Movement for Professionalization of Life Insurance Agency. It is for recognition and for enchaning the status and upliftment of image of Insurance Agents, particularly Life Insurance Agents, for their value and importance in the society.

WHY INCLIP?

Because there is no professional organisation in our country under which all scattered Life Insurance Professionals can become members and gather to share and exchange their Knowledge. A professional organization which can identify and recognize as professionals with strict adherence of ethics and code of conduct.
To build a strong society of Professional Life Insurance Agents on the basis of over all performance, enhance and updating the knowledge. Recognition for quality of sales, standard of service and value for years of experience.
To fulfill the dream of every Insurance agent to earn prestige, status and create a goodwill and reputation, to build image in the society as well as in the Industry as professional.
