Guide to starting a Home Business | Work at home

There are a lot of home businesses that will promise you the world- and some may even hold true to what they say. Many work at home opportunities have very convincing sales pages that include images of checks that boast actual earnings and other "smoke and mirror" effects that will mesmerize you into a state of excitement and overwhelming false hope convincing you of what you can accomplish. This is an affect of something I remember in College called the Gilded Age. What was the Gilded Age?
The Gilded Age was an era of corruption, conspicuous consumption, and unfettered capitalism. But it is more useful to think of this as modern America’s formative period, when an agrarian society of small producers was transformed into an urban society dominated by industrial corporations. For more information about the Gilded Age visit wikipedia.org.

I think the key definition of the Gilded Age as it applies to work at home opportunities and the way they present themselves is corruption and conspicuous consumption. We will show you one thing and sell you something else and after you scratch the gilded 14K gold surface the metal Pewter will manifest itself while we win and you lose.

Starting a Home Business

It's nice to write to like minded people that have a goal of financial freedom and want to work from home. I work about 75 hours a week and I am sure you put in your share. For me the missing component is quality of life. That's what I want- I don't want to be rich (if I do that's ok) I just want a little extra security and a quality life. Like myself, I am sure you are a skeptic about all of the advertised work at home opportunities. I believe that before you get involved with anything- you should do your homework. I did mine, and besides, how do you know that the opportunity is another online get rich quick scheme?

Protecting Yourself from Work at Home Scams

As I mentioned above, research is very important to identifying a legit home business opportunity. Many people lose thousands of dollars every year to scams. You can arm yourself with the knowledge to spot a work from home scam immediately. I found an article published by the BBB that might be helpful to you as it was for me. It's called "10 Ways to Spot Work at Home Scams" read what the author has to say and feel confident that your newly trained eyes will guide you in your quest for a legit and sustainable home business model.

Below, I have in included some work at home opportunities that are free- so you can try them out and make a decision for yourself. Both work at home opportunities have a achieved an "A" ranking with the BBB. I have included links below to the BBB reports which also includes contact information in case you need to speak to a live person after signing-up. This is really important because starting a new work from home business can be a little scary and having live support allows for a smooth transition for the new business owner.

Remember, having a home business requires a lot of work and determination. If anyone tells you that you can get rich working online without doing little to nothing- they are wrong. Experts say it takes 3-5 years to really reap the fruits of your labor- so treat your journey like a marathon not a sprint.

If you do not own your financial future- someone else will! So take a leap a faith, get started for free and who knows- you might fire your boss one day.

My favorite Work at Home Opportunity...

There are lots of ways to make money online - but most of

them require a big investment of either time and/or money....
and that just doesn't work so well for most people.
That's why people are really excited when we learned more about

Project Payday. It doesn't have any of these problems.

Unlike all of the ridiculous "Make $1,000 a day" ads you

see all over the Net, Project Payday is the real deal.

* It's super easy and anyone can do it

* You can be up and running in under an hour

* Training Videos walk you through everything

* You can get started today at ZERO COST to you

You won't "get rich" but 1,000s of people have proven it's

a realistic extra income system for the "Average Joe".

I have never seen anything like it before, and I know you haven't either. This is a totally new strategy for making realistic extra income online. Another great thing about PJPD- is the referral program that you can participate in. They have many levels on which you can earn income on. Additionally- Project Payday has an "A" rating with the BBB. Check it out for you yourself.

My second favorite Work at Home Opportunity...

Ok- now let me talk to you about another great company. This is the best Home Business I have ever seen- SFI

1. SFI has been in business since 1985- And the company has an "A" rating with the BBB.

2. The next thing you should do is read what other people in SFI are doing. Check out the Company's discussion board. Don't worry about getting a user name and log-in, you can get that later. For now just the read the posts from people that are working from home with this opportunity.

3. If you are ready to dig deeper and learn about the different products you want to use your unique skills and home business talent with SFI CLICK HERE

Don't worry it's free to sign-up. You can test drive the website, check out the training tools (which by the way I think are impressive) and make a decision to see if this is the right work at home opportunity for you.

I hope you enjoyed reading my blog! If you had success with other work at home opportunities- please do not hesitate to leave a comment. Hopefully someone will benefit from the information that you share.
