There are countless reasons why people choose to learn a foreign language. For some individuals, learning a new language like Spanish or French lets them better understand a new culture or cuisine. Upscale chefs, for example, might want to learn Italian in order to better understand traditional recipes and local ingredients. If you work in the field of business and you are thinking about learning a new language, keep reading to learn why that is such a smart idea. Here are four ways that learning a new foreign language can improve your business.

1. Widens Your Potential Client Base

Native English speakers will only be potential business partners for others also that speak English. If you have an American company that is successful in countries like the United States, Canada and Australia, you might soon realize that your growth is limited unless you can change. By learning a new language, you open yourself and your company up to a whole new client base. Buyers will be more interested in your products or services if they can speak to you in their native tongue over the phone and read your promotional materials without difficulty.

2. Earns You Respect in Foreign Countries

The business world revolves around mutual respect. Clients, business managers, buyers and sellers all need to trust and respect one another in order to have successful business relationships. If you only speak your own native tongue and expect others to communicate to you, then you might not be showing them respect. In turn, you will lose respect from others. Making an effort to learn a new language to communicate with partners or clients will earn your their respect as well as their gratitude.

3. Helps You Better Understand Business Culture Abroad

Each nation has their own customs and formalities when it comes to business. A casual handshake and using someone’s first name right away might be fine in California, but in Japan it would be greatly frowned upon. To better understand the business culture of a new location, you should try to learn a few key words of the language. Mastering the local tongue will make it easier for you to embrace the traditional customs, mores and conversation that international businessmen will appreciate. Even knowing how to correctly pronounce menu items in a foreign country will go a long way in impressing your colleagues.

4. Enhances Your Mental Capacities

Learning a new language is about more than simply learning new words and vocabulary. It involves a whole new way of sentence structure and a different way of thinking. Challenging your mind in this way will help you to increase your lateral thinking and problem solving skills. With your expanded and improved way of thinking, you will be better able to tackle new challenges in business and come up with creative solutions that benefit everyone involved.

Whether you learn Spanish, French, Japanese or Italian, you will reap the benefits that come from learning a foreign tongue. These skills can help you to feel more comfortable traveling to new destinations and will improve your business relationships around the world.

Captivating Campaigns Indelibly Imprint American Consumers and Culture

Some of America’s most powerful, pervasive and persistent pop-culture icons began as edgy, risky advertising spots, and many of the best now are as old as the baby-boomers who cherish them.

America’s finest young minds find their vocation in advertising, Joe McGinniss reportedly told an interviewer as his landmark Selling of the President, 1968 hit the top of the best-seller lists in the seventies. He would know: He was the guy who proved that the politician with the best advertising is also the guy who owns the electoral college. McGinniss allegedly went on to define a “fine young mind” as one perfectly attuned to images, icons and ironic-sardonic expressions absolutely guaranteed to enchant and enthrall twenty-something telephiliacs, the best-educated and best-paid Nielsen demographic. New millennium media analysts agree McGinnis, or whoever developed the description, definitely had it dialed. Of course, analysts, critics, pundits and pop-culture pontificators have assembled Top Ten lists of the greatest all-time campaigns, and the ads that make their lists inevitably measure-up against the “fine minds” definition.

Perennial favorites, and a few breakthrough bests
Top Ten lists generally feature the Marlboro Man, Miller Beer’s eternal debate between “tastes great” and “less filling,” and Avis’s brave second-place proclamation, “We try harder.” Clairol also battles for top of the charts with “Does she or doesn’t she?” and Apple’s series of “I’m a Mac, and I’m a PC” commercials consistently lands somewhere among the Top Ten. A select few campaigns stand out even among the best of the best either because they have captivated the popular imagination or because they perfectly have captured the universal American condition.

• California Milk Processors’ “got milk?” (October, 1993) The campaign derives its power from its universal appeal: No one can imagine chocolate chip cookies or cereal without milk, and everyone can identify with the desperation that accompanies running out of milk just after the first bite of a delectable confection. The account executives and designers at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners show their true genius, however, by insisting on ambient audio up until the critical moment when the voice-over talent asks, “got milk?” In print advertising, designers developed a font somehow ideally suited to the message.

• Dove’s “Evolution” campaign,” vital viral controversy (2006) The first and arguably still one of the most powerful spots ever to flourish exclusively on the internet, the sixty-second “Evolution” video transforms an attractive make-up free woman into a masterpiece of the make-up artist’s brushes and the PhotoShopper’s stylus. By popular consensus, the spot shows an ordinary woman transformed to an icon consistent with prevailing American standards of beauty—hence the controversy. Feminists naturally seized on the spot to re-open questions of culturally-determined ideals real women never could meet, and civil rights advocates stressed the spot’s subliminal message that all beautiful women are white. Controversy drove the ad, and the ad drove the controversy—a perfect synergy.

• DeBeers’ “A Diamond is Forever” (1947) DeBeers managed to fool the nation into believing that a long-standing, inviolable, nearly sacred tradition stands behind their equation love-equals-diamond. Although DeBeers has dominated the diamond market since the turn of the twentieth century, the company also has labored mightily to increase consumer demand. For its pre-Christmas campaign in 1947, Frances Gerety, one of those “fine minds,” ay Ayer and Son advertising, coined the slogan, which Advertising Age anointed as “the best advertising slogan of the twentieth century.”

• Nike’s “Just Do It” campaign (1988) Since the early 1980s, Nike has partnered with Wieden+Kennedy to produce some of the most memorable and controversial spots in television history, all of them including or derived from the slogan as simple as the swoosh trademark. Like “got milk?” Nike’s agonizingly simple “Just Do It” has universal appeal; the slogan resonates with everyone who ever has wished for, aspired to, dreamed about, or made a New Year’s resolution about an exercise program. Almost as decorated as the elite athletes who wear swoosh-marked gear, W+K and Nike have collected two “Advertiser of the Year” awards at the Cannes Advertising Festival, and they also have claimed two Emmy Awards.

YouTube, Facebook and Twitter have put Madison Avenue’s tools in the hands of Main Street folks, and some of the most popular viral videos have reached tens of millions of viewers with little more than $100 investment from the makers. “Guerrilla” marketing targeted specifically at upscale twenty-somethings has driven record-setting television ratings and unprecedented fashion sales. One southern California media analysts strongly recommends, “Every entrepreneur in America needs to find one of those ‘fine minds’ and put it to work 24/7.”

What separates a great product from a "ho-hum" product? What products make people reach for their credit cards and buy now? What products *really* sell on the Internet? [...]

E-commerce is wonderful, offering anyone with a dialup connection the ability to be in business for themselves, but at the end of the day, you’ve got to provide a great product.

What separates a great product from a “ho-hum” product? What products make people reach for their credit cards and buy now? What products *really* sell on the Internet?

Let’s look together at three characteristics of a great product and how that applies to the real world.

GREAT PRODUCTS DELIVER ENDURING VALUE

The bottom line for your customer is “What’s in it for me?” The more your product or service screams “Here’s how you win!” the more value the customer will perceive. And the faster they will buy.

People buy products and services for many reasons. When all those reasons are boiled down, they come down to two. People want to make money or avoid losing money. Promise of gain. Fear of loss. Those are the big two. The more your product (and selling copy) say “Here’s how you make money (or avoid losing money)” the more sales you will make.

Whether you sell a business opportunity, information, or the latest and greatest widget, be sure that your client will ACTUALLY receive the benefits they are promised. The more you choose products that really deliver, the more money YOU will make.

One word of warning. Some products that create value now, will be useless in the future. Only a few years ago many people were stuck with huge inventories of Beanie Babies as that fad ended. You must know that fads will end. Unless you can afford the losses associated with collecting, it’s best to avoid fad products.

GREAT PRODUCTS HAVE UNIVERSAL APPEAL

While many products deliver great value, not all have universal appeal. Lear Jets are among the finest aircraft ever built, but you may go broke trying to sell them online. (Remember, we’re talking about products to sell on the Web)

The key to a great online product is that its mass appeal allows you to take advantage of the #1 benefit the Web has to offer … a HUGE marketplace. Be careful to choose or create products that can be marketed to a wide audience.

What products have universal appeal? While there are many, here’s a short list to get your thinking started. You probably use some of these products or services every day.

Web hosting Web page design Autoresponders eBooks “How to” information Ad trackers Merchant accounts or payment processing Affiliate programs Advertising

While it is true that each of these product categories has plenty of competition, it’s equally true that millions of people come online every month that need them. If you think it’s too late to be a player in these areas, think again. Best of all, you can sell each of these products without actually providing the service by becoming an affiliate.

It has been often reported that after the California gold rush ended, the people who made and kept their money were the ones who sold the tools (like picks, shovels and mules) the miners used. A classic example of this is Levis jeans. Still being sold today, Levis has provided jobs and wealth for over a hundred years. I wonder how many of the “get rich quick” miners were still rich only 10 years later?

If you choose to sell products created by someone else, pay careful attention to who that someone is. The pure fact is that a product created by Marlon Sanders or Corey Rudl will sell better than one created by someone not as well known. That’s the real world.

GREAT PRODUCTS CREATE REPEAT SALES

You have probably heard this statistic before. Studies reveal that it costs a whopping 10 times more to sell a customer a product the first time than the second time. It makes sense when you consider all the dollars you pour into advertising, product development, marketing, and so forth.

While products like vitamins, long distance service or a membership site may spring to mind as great products that create secondary sales, the truth is that almost any product can be used to generate backend profits.

One way to do this is to sell a series of products that build on each other.

To do this effectively you need to know your target market and what their needs are. Let’s look at people just starting their Internet business as an example.

If you sell autoresponder services and make a sell to a fresh, new marketer, you have the perfect opportunity to let your service pave the way for more sales. Just think through what a new marketer might need. Let’s look at three examples.

1. They might need to know how to use the autoresponder you just sold them, so you might offer them an eBook on autoresponders at a special “Thank you” price.

2. They might need copywriting for their new web site (or their autoresponder series) so you could offer them an e- course or eBook on writing.

3. They might need an easy way to collect money, so you could introduce them to a service like PayPal or offer them a merchant account.

The key is to think through the logical progression their business might take, and be there to offer them the next product they need *before* they go shopping for it. If your timing is good, and your offer a real value, you will be pleasantly surprised at how well this strategy works.

There are literally millions of products you can sell on the Web. How do you choose which one to sell now? You must know yourself and sell something you honestly believe in. The best-case scenario is that you use the product yourself. We never sell a product we don’t use.

Once those criteria are met, make sure you are bringing a true value to clients, that your product will have broad appeal and that it either creates direct repeat sales or sets the stage for selling other products.

If you do these things you will begin to build a business that can last a lifetime.

———————————–

Ok, so just what is Click Banking??

If you have a small list of 100 people or even 1,000 people, you could start doing what’s called click banking.

Click banking is when you go to a marketer with a huge list and you say, “I will send you a certain number of clicks over the course of this month (clicks mean visitors) and what you will do is return those clicks all at once after I’m done.”

So what happens is the big marketer with a big list will give you a tracking link to use on all your emails to promote his site.

You’ll work hard to build up your traffic to him through that link, and when you’re ready to cash in your clicks you go to him and say, “I’d like to cash in my clicks,” and then he will send you clicks; as many as you have sent him.

This is real similar to ad swaps, as you can see, but it works out well for small list owners because you can just focus on sending traffic to one big marketer without having to set up all kinds of ad swap deals.

For example, if you have an email follow up series, the first couple of days of your email follow up series could be sending the new people on your list to another marketer who you are click banking with.

Now this isn’t the greatest advice for product creators.

I don’t think that ad swaps or click banking is a great idea for product creators because if you’re a product creator, then you can have so much longevity on your own list by just promoting your own products.

If you’re a product creator, you might want to just focus on paid methods and getting affiliates to promote your stuff, but that’s just my opinion and that’s what I’ve seen from experience.

If you’re an affiliate marketer though, who doesn’t have a ton of products to promote to the list all month, and who doesn’t crank out many products, it’s all about fresh lead flow.

Both ad swaps and click banking are the mother load of free, fresh lead flow. Give these methods a go, and see if you don’t start to build a passive, residual income that can last for years to come!

Ad swaps are where you send out an ad to your list promoting someone else’s squeeze page and then someone else does the same for you to their list. Build a list of several thousand...and you're in the money! [...]

Ad swaps are where you send out an ad to your list promoting someone else’s squeeze page and then someone else does the same for you to their list.

So it’s similar to solo ads except for no one is buying anything; you’re just trading off ads.

The place where everybody has moved to these days is called safe-swaps.com.

There are other forums that kind of emerged in the last few years and they’ve pretty much slowed down because of safe-swaps.com.

The thing about ad swaps is that it is getting less effective because seeing that it emerged around 2009, that’s when everyone was discovering ad swaps and starting to do it.

Now people are over-mailing their lists with ad swaps. If you subscribe to any IMer’s lists (I get about 75 emails a day) I’m sure you’ve seen them. They’re doing way more ad swaps so they’re getting less responses from the subscribers.

Retention rates are going down, click thru rates are going down, but if you still want to generate hundred’s of leads per day, ad swaps can still do that.

The key to profiting from ad swaps is the same key to profiting with solo ads, which is your sales funnel.

So if you’ve got a good sales funnel, you can use it for your ad swaps.

Also, ad swaps are a great way to test your sales funnel before you start buying something like solo ads.

You’re probably going to get less quality leads from ad swaps than you are from solo ads, yet it’s still a good indication of whether your sales funnel will convert traffic into sales, and that’s what’s necessary to profit with ad swaps, because you’re not promoting anything that’s going to be making money directly to your list; you’re promoting someone else’s squeeze page, so you’re relying on the traffic coming from the JV partner’s list to your sales funnel.

Depending on your sales funnel, you can do ad swaps every single day if you want to, become the master of ad swaps and just tweak your sales funnel and have very good business there.

You don’t want to overcomplicate marketing.

This kind of thinking is really profitable if you could get super focused.

Think about how simple this business is right here.

You put together a sales funnel.

You do ad swaps every day.

You test your sales funnel every day until you’re converting the maximum amount of visitors who land on your page.

That in itself is a business no matter what anyone says.

So that’s what I try to do in my business… SIMPLIFY.

So, if you’re just starting out, I would suggest you create a squeeze page…you can get a high converting one here for free. And, then build your list up to at least 100 subscribers (500 would be better) and then concentrate on ad swaps. Build a list of several thousand…and you’re in the money!

Good Luck, and if you have any questions, please ask them in a comment.

If you've never sent out a solo ad, why not give it a shot? You just might find solo ads could take your business to the next level! [...]

A solo ad is basically a stand-alone ad (your ad is sent by itself) that is sent to someone else’s list of subscribers on your behalf. These ads can be relatively inexpensive, and can be very effective.

When I’m actively running solo ads, I’m usually able to generate hundreds of leads per day.

This may change down the road, but as of right now solo ads are cheap, they’re effective and very easy because you don’t have to worry about landing page quality score or paying per click and keeping an eye on your ads ad paying by the click.

What you’re getting is an ad that goes out to a subscriber list, so whenever you buy a solo ad; let’s say you buy a solo ad for $300 for 1,000 clicks to your site, you pay 30 cents per click to your site and you know exactly how many clicks are going to come to your site and the guy who sends you a solo ad sends an ad out to his email list, which recommends your freebie or your website.

So they’re transferring their authority over to you, in a way, that’s what makes it the most effective way of generating traffic right now, in my opinion.

Because the ads are still cheap, it’s very effective for anybody who has the money to risk on it.

One place you can find a lot of great solo ad deals is the Directory Of Ezines. I’ve been a member for a few years now, and have found it very helpful in finding responsive lists to mail to. You also get a ton of freebies with your membership, and the owner of DOE Charlie Page will give you personal one on one coaching…which is priceless!

I realize it’s not going to be easy just to find a solo ad seller, if you decide to pass on the DOE membership, but the Warrior Forum is a good place to look. And, just Google ‘buying solo ads’ and you will get some leads as well.

The key to have profitable solo ads is your sales funnel.

You want to have the squeeze page that generates the free leads that gives away something.

Then you have an upsell from there, which will be a one-time offer for something so you can afford to pay for your solo ads.

Now you may also want to promote things on the download page for your freebies that you’re giving away.

That way you can come close to breaking even or you can profit directly right away from that solo ad before you even get the subscribers on your list.

Although many solo ads I haven’t profited from right up front, I made a profit on the backend from promoting strictly to the subscriber list.

That’s something you have to think about.

A lot of companies in advertising are willing to pay a lot of money upfront and even lose money on the front end because they know they’re going to make money on the backend with their follow up marketing, which is what email marketing is all about.

If you’ve never sent out a solo ad, why not give it a shot? You just might find solo ads could take your business to the next level!Similar Posts:

2. Blog Articles. Add a unique intro. Add in your affiliate links. Put it in your own voice and you could literally put an entire month’s worth of blog content on autopilot. Simply setup WordPress to drip-feed your articles every few days.

3. Webinars. Use PLR content as the basis for a webinar presentation. Create some nice powerpoint slides and then
approach other marketer’s to present your webinar to their list. Use the free OneClickTool.com to turn this into
a massive lead generator.

4. Podcasts. Whip out your headset and Audacity and repurpose your PLR into audio. You can then submit your recording to podcast directories like iTunes for extra traffic

5. Membership Sites. This is one of my favorites! PLR is one of the easiest ways to continuously add massive value
to your membership site week after week. In fact, I just purchased some PLR video squeeze pages in the Warrior Forum
about a week ago to put into my own membership site. Or, you could use PLR to create a fixed-term membeship site. Load
the content into Aweber and automate the whole thing!

6. Affiliate Bonuses. Affiliate marketing is becoming more and more competitive. You need something extra to compete
in the latest product launch. You can use PLR to create unique bonus packages for any affiliate product you’re
promoting. Plus, now ‘a days you can get PLR to WordPress themes, templates, plugins, and software.

7. Autoresponder Sequence. A lot of people ask me what sort of content they should be emailing their subscribers. PLR
makes this super simple. Simply break up your PLR into short articles, create a unique intro and outro for each
and load it up into your autoresponder.

Again, please share additional ways you make use of PLR content in a comment…I look forward to hearing from youSimilar Posts:

If you have never considered the full potential of the internet, now is a good time to begin and use your skills to start making money online as a freelancer. The opportunities are numerous. It only takes some research and putting yourself out there.

Who Can Be a Freelancer?

Anyone who has something to offer can become a freelancer on the internet and earn valuable income. Let’s face it. You have a lot of ways to get income, including a regular 9 to 5 job. You can even work two or more physical jobs, or when you have money needs, you could obtain a bank loan or quick cash loans. Maybe you want to borrow from friends. However, when you choose to freelance, you have the satisfaction of bringing in money on your own whenever you need it. It can be a steady thing or just an occasional happening. All you need is knowledge or skill that someone else is willing to pay for.

Why Freelance?

Freelancing is independence. As mentioned above, when you freelance, you control how much time you put into it. You can even perform multiple jobs for various online employers. As the saying goes, variety is the spice of life, and when you freelance, you can make variety the center of your life. If, though, you simply have one great hobby or passion you want to utilize to bring in income for those extras that your regular paycheck cannot cover, you can focus on that. People without regular paying jobs can also find value in freelancing. Housewives, those on disability, college students, and people wanting to aid their retirement with extra income can all benefit from freelancing.

What Type of Freelance Jobs are Available?

There is almost no limit to the type of jobs available to freelancers. Photographers can find work with online news sites, bloggers, and website development. Writers can be employed to write feature articles, post on forums, write blogs, create media sales pitches, and much more. Artists are needed to spruce up websites and create custom artwork for a variety of reasons.

Even those not having a specialized talent per se can freelance online and earn money by completing surveys and working on tasks for research groups. It is amazing how many different types of projects are in need of workers, and all it takes is signing up with the right group. Keep in mind that none of these require you to pay anything. You are the freelancer; you are the one being paid.

Freelancing is Still A Job

It is vital to remember that freelancing is still a job and not necessarily free money. It is important to check the laws and income limits to determine whether or not you have to pay taxes on the money you earn. Those on social security who earn too much money may have their income cut back, for example. However, research the laws to determine what role your freelancing plays in your income tax claims.
