Tax calendar added to agency website

We’ve added a new feature to the Tax Commission's website—a calendar that shows events and due dates for all tax types. The calendar defaults to a monthly overview, but can also be presented in a weekly view, or in an agenda format for those who prefer a list without having to click for details. (Read more)

Scan lines change to protect your identity

BOISE, IDAHO — Jan. 22, 2013 — As part of its ongoing efforts to safeguard taxpayer information, the Idaho State Tax Commission has changed all preprinted tax returns and payment vouchers it mails that have a scan line (line of numbers) printed at the bottom of the forms. (Read more)

It'll be featured in our Quick Picks on our home page for a while, but can always be found on our Withholding page under the Forms and publications subsection.

Penalty and Interest Estimator added to website

We've added a link to our Penalty & Interest Estimator on our website's home page under "Quick Picks." It's to help taxpayers estimate their penalty and interest. Therefore, it can't be used in all circumstances and shouldn't be considered accurate.

Expanded Withholding Web page now live

Our Income Tax Withholding Web page has been converted from a short paragraph to a comprehensive, one-stop-shop for all things withholding-related. You can find the Withholding page on the drop-down menu under "Businesses."

Forms, laws, rules, and frequently asked questions (FAQs) are integrated into the text on this new page, and the withholding FAQs have been removed from the FAQs Web page. Stay tuned for our updated withholding guide to be issued by the end of the year.
