I stumbled upon this website through an Ad in a Netflix envelope for a download of 35 free songs. Sounds like a good deal right? So I toddled over to there website and did a live chat with a representative, and they told me I could cancel their service when I got the songs and come back when I had enough money. The Customer service runs past me, good job on that at least.

They had a wide selection of music, so it was rather daunting. Or so I thought...

This is a great website if you're looking for indie bands and unknowns, but if you're looking for popular music. Don't bother. They 'don't believe in main stream bands' or something like that is what they said. Oh sure, you can find bands like Linkin Park or Three Days Grace, hell, you can even find tributes to their songs. What are tributes you ask?

It's basically some random person who decided to sing a Linkin Park song to Karaoke or something. Some of them rather off tune... No wonder their songs would all be 25 cents...

Now I didn't know at the time that they didn't sell mainstream bands until I cam across a band that they didn't have some kind of tribute for. So I was left there infuriated and swearing in front of my monitor. I found one song though, so the service was compeltely wasted. But they should've advertised or said somewhere that they didn't have the main stream bands on there. My feeble teenage mind does not read fine print like most adults, we skim over that. In fact... it didn't say anything about that. Unless I am mistaken, which, considering I am a human being is altogether possible.

I was just, sorely disappointed I guess, I thought it was a site better than iTunes, which would've been just dandy once I'd gotten myself a job and such.

eMusic is a wonderful site if you're looking for independent bands but for main stream don't bother. They also have lovely customer service you when you sign up in the live chat, they're very responsive. And if you can't find a song your looking for a little live chat button appears on the side and you can ask them to find the song for you. So it all reall depends what you're lookin' for. So, I have mixed feelings on the site. Just be aware there is a monthly fee, of course they have different plans, so this site is better if you have a steady income.

Subscribers?!

I seem to have acquired some, it's a mystery to me why. Am I interesting? Nonetheless I am greatful that someone saw something in these posts and decided to subscribe!

But on that note, does anyone read Bleach? It's one of my favorite anime and manga, but for awhile I was uninterested and sincerly thought it was going to end up like Naruto, more predictable plot twists and such. Though I'll hand it to Naruto that the last chapter made me cry a little, since Jiraiya was in it. Though I'm not one of those fanatics that constantly thinks he'll come back from the grave, if Kishimoto did that I would really stop reading. It's bad enough they focus the whole manga on Sasuke now... the gary-stu...

BUT! Back to Bleach, they threw me a twist I didn't expect and it really threw me for a loop. And I really wish the new chapter would come out now, well, I guess I can't say that it's my favorite anime because of all the fillers... After watching 200+ episodes of Naruto fillers you become a little bitter toward them I must tell you.

Continuing on, forgive my many tangents...

SPOILERS

Do not continue reading if you've read the new chapter of Bleach, unless you want to be spoiled then go ahead. Just don't complain in my journal about posting spoilers. You have been warned.

So one of the pillars collapsed, and Ikkaku is beaten? And the others were doing so damn well and releasing their bankai (which only the cool kids have) and/or the true forms of their sword. And Ikkaku, the one of them that is Captain level is defeated?!

I held my monitor and shook it while screaming, "NOOO!" for at least 3 minutes, really, they can't kill baldy! And how do you die when you're already dead anyway? That makes no sense! But enough of these plot holes, they can't kill him, that'd be like... killing Kenpachi. It doesn't happen. Well, it's not like they've said he was dead yet or anything, it's just a feeling I get that, that's what's gonna happen.

</spoilers

And I have to get around to reading Soul Eater, but I've been busy with too many other things to start up reading a whole new manga. I barely was able to read half of Gintama, but that's my spiel for today.

Review: Just Tell Me Why

Justtellmewhy.com is not a site where someone sits in a computer in a coporate office and hires people to answer boring questions, it's a site where people across the internet input their answers for questions. An example being, "The Army is Neccessary", in which people fill out the form below the question and state reasons why they think the army is neccessary. And the opposing, "The Army is Not Neccessary", where... well, it should be rather obvious that they oppose the above and state why.

I came across this site while surfing SocialSpark and decided to have a look see, it's fairly interesing I must say. I don't know that I'd input much myself, I'm not the type for conflict, but it is entertaining to read some of the answers people put. While some of them can be ignorantly stated ("Because you cant drag your desktop with you to the can!" Stated in New Media vs. Traditional Media, my answer to that would be, "No you can't, but you can certaintly bring your laptop with you." ), with ill-thought out reasons, there are others who give completely suitable reasons for why they chose what they did. Some places it's a matter of opinion and on others it's a sort of mini-debate between sides.

Which really, I would only give my opinion. Because I'm no good at debates since I lack the... err, intelligence for well concieved thought. I'm pretty impulsive when I choose things, so if I were surfing on this site I'd be more liable to stick to, "Which is better? Barbie or Bratz?" And rant about how Bratz encourages little girls to grow up into people of questionable character.

I would rant about that but I won't... I will spare you all.

The website also features this nifty little thing on the side, where the topics float around in this little ball thingy and when you hover your mouse over a word it moves around and stuff... I spent a good 15 minutes playing with that. <s>I'm easily amused, silence!</s>

Either way, it's a good site to check out and as it's still in it's birthing stage apparently there are fresh topics just waiting to be answered!

Sorry if my review bores you... D: I'm working on my writing I swear~!

Just tell me why!

Review: Clever Girl Goes Blog

Now to be perfectly honest and frank, it's an ironic fact that I don't normally read blogs. Why? Because just like mine, there are millions of teenagers out there who whine and moan about how sad they are even though their parents just bought them a camaro when they really wanted a mercedes. I guess that's just years of experience being on LiveJournal, MySpace, and the like, I had no idea that real, living adults, posted on the internet. No lie, I thought the internet population was made of of 98% of emos and lamers, and the other 2% was old people and their businesses. I mean only recently, did I learn that you could blog for money! The blogs that I did read by adults were either...errm... questionable, so it's safe to say my eyes bled and I skipped over them, or really, really, REALLY boring.

Clever Girl Goes Blog is just the opposite of that, I've read a few of her posts, and I think I can honestly say she is incredibly entertaining. More than that when she writes you can almost hear her words in person, like she's talking to you in the same room about all these events. I like reading stuff like that.

When I first stumbled upon this site through the Blogs of Note,<s>which is weird because I never look at them usually...</s>, I thought I'd come upon some Barbie Doll's site full of frilly priss and make-up fantasies and "OMGTHATGUYISSOHAWT!" Okay, so admittedly, there was a bit of that last part, but my friend's are like that so I'm used to it. I mean, the banner was adorable, I was tempted to ask if she drew it. But it didn't detract from the fact that it was all... pink, and I'm not a pink-hater, don't get me wrong.

But I've too many encounters with those who like pink usually turn out to be... people I don't get along with.

But I got past that and started reading, the first post I read being about kitties, which immediatly grasped my attention personally, because I own a cat. And continued reading, I enjoyed the wit and humor that she placed in her posts, and skillfully as well. It wasn't obnoxiously written as some people tend to do, and she was very literate in how she wrote. She didn't butcher the english language as I've also seen in every blog and she still remained sounding rather young in her post, I thought she was at least a couple years ahead of me and possibly still in college or just starting. But came to find that she's was apparently above the age of 23, married (more than once apparently?) and thinking about children.

I was surprised to find that there was an adult on the internet that could be mildly entertaining, much less incredibly entertaining.

While I probably won't recommend blogs on this too much, because I think it's odd to recommend someone's personal journal, I would at least read her's if your bored or looking for someone with a fairly interesting perspective on life.

Kudos to Tia~! ♥

Junk in my Trunk

Well, I supposed a suitable first post would be to tell you what kind junk I have. I don't have much really, I'm 18 and poor, there's not much I can get at the moment.

Let's see, I have a:

Hp p930 19" monitor

Compaq Presario PC
- 1024 MB
- 320GB
- Intel Pentium Dual-Core Desktop Processer
- DVD/CD Burner with Lightscribe Technology
- Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3100

Brother 6 in 1 printer (scanner, copier, fax, and printer)

DigiPro Tablet Pen

That's... pretty much it for now I suppose. And that's not much but these items haven't failed me yet and are pretty reliable to me. The Brother printer, although recently acquired has the most wonderful photo quality, which is important for an artist if they ever want to make prints with it. Though I haven't quite grasped everything quite yet I'm workin' on it.

My Compaq Presario is my baby, I still haven't used all it's memory yet and I have quite a bit of software on this thing. There was another that had more capability with graphic media and gaming, but that one was quite a bit more expensive then what I currently have. D: I could feel my heart slipping away when I heard the price but I'm satisfied with my purchase all in all. c:

My tablet pen... recently broke however (my cat spilled water on the stupid thing...) and I'm currently working on getting it replaced. I've contacted the website, so all I have to do is mail is back and they'll fix it or replace it. Depending on the damage done to it of course. I got it for $37.00 bucks (bargain!) so I shouldn't complain, I am still pleased to have a tablet at such an afforable price~! We'll see what happens with that.

♥ Yumi Yuki

Snip, snip?

Yet another blog of mine I suppose. Except this one will be for more commercial purposes than personal ones and I don't imagine I'll publish much about my personal life in this blog. Most of my subject matter will contain thing such as books, hardward and software, internet websites, games, comics, and anime. Geeky things pretty much, I'll be writing reviews of my most favorite things.

Since that's what all the cool kids are doing, right? We'll see how far this thing flies, since my other blog I found out was too personal to be a blog for money. After scoping around google for quite some number of days I've discovered that blogs are indeed personal, but if you're specifically blogging for profit then it'd be better to suit yourself to a certain group of people and find your little crack in the wall.

My little crack happens to be filled with dust, acne and fast food. But such is the life of a nerd, and I'm here to write about all those nerdy things, making it simple which products to choose over others, because I can be pretty blunt when it comes to how things work for me.

Hopefully I will garner readers in the future as well. c:

♥ Yumi Yuki
