Doing an India tour with a 2015 model alto car is a challenging task but I have accepted this challenge and planned to complete this journey. I had started my journey for India tour on 1st march 2023 and started travelling all capitals lying in states and UT. Travelling to difficult terrains of Meghalaya, north east and LEH LADAKH - The Land of Euphoric Mountains & Valleys with a simple Alto 800 car without power steering and 4*4 capabilities is a big challenge for me, but I completed all the difficult routes and mountains with my extreme driving skills and abilities.

Earlier only one or two people have done this in India but I am the first person who completes this India tour in 42 days only. Also, I am the youngest man to complete the India tour by car. We also got everyone's support all over India. Police, Public, Army etc.

India On Road- What inspired you to embark on this road trip adventure? Any specific themes you opted for your travels?

Mani Raj: Actually, YouTube is a very big platform, I had searched on YouTube, how many people have done the India tour by car? I did not see any single person who came out of the house and entered his house after completing the India tour. But on Google I had seen 2 people; one of them had completed the India tour by car (Honda City) in 101 days and the other one completed this tour in 74 days by car (Skoda Fabia). Then I also dreamed that I will do the same and that too in the shortest time and with India's smallest car, the Maruti Alto 800 cc. I had to come on top of YouTube. If anyone searches for - India tour by car or the youngest man to complete the India tour, then I am at the top. My dream was my theme.

India On Road- What is your profession? and How are you managing funds for your travel?

Mani Raj: Professionally I am working as an Assistant manager in a real estate group housing project named Krishnabhumi Vrindavan (Mathura). I started planning for my entire trip a month before the start of the trip. According to this complete planning, I had to do the entire India tour in 54 days. Which was about to become a new record in India. I estimated the entire fund for 54 days which is around 4 lakh to 4.5 lakh. I prepared some funds for this trip from my savings and some was given to me by my mother.

India On Road- What were the biggest challenges you faced during your road trip? How did you overcome them?

Mani Raj: We didn't face any major problem on the entire India tour. I am a pure vegetarian, so I just had a little problem in the North East region regarding my food. I had to take full care of my health, so it was very important for me to eat healthy and eat on time. That's why I prefer to eat only dal and roti for dinner. We didn't face any problem with the rest of our car. My car was fully fit and well maintained.

At some places we had to face a problem regarding the road condition. The condition of some roads in the North East was very bad, due to which we were not able to do late driving. The condition of the road going from Jammu to Leh was also not very good. The road leading to Leh was not completely open. One day used to go up and one day used to come back from Leh. Because of this I had to take an extra stay for a day in Sonmarg. The car was also skidding due to accumulation of black ice on the road, but my driving skills played a role well there. While doing this, we travelled all over India.

India On Road- Did you have a planned itinerary for your journey, or was it more spontaneous? How did you balance the two?

Mani Raj: As I said, I started planning for the entire trip a month in advance. It took a whole month to plan the trip. In which I decide which clothes to carry in the car for winters and summers as well, what eatables to keep in the car, what gadgets to keep for videos and what gadgets to keep, and prepare the entire car with stickers for the trip. And there were small preparations that I planned before starting the trip.

India On Road- How did you manage your time during India On Road Trip?

Mani Raj: I had made some rules regarding time during the journey. In which the first rule was that we will ignore late driving. We used to leave till the last 6 and 7 in the morning and used to explore some famous places inside the city, after that we would have left for the next state. If for some reason we could not reach the target place and were late, then we would have stayed in the hotel but used to ignore night driving. This is a good point for my whole journey. After reaching the hotel, we used to give some time to our video editing, because daily we had to upload our videos on our YouTube channel- A2Z The braj. Everything went well exactly as I had planned. Because for this whole journey every single minute was very important for me. That's why I didn't waste my time anywhere. And keeping all this in mind, I completed the planning of the entire 54 days tour in 42 days only.

India On Road- Did you travel alone or with a group? How did you handle the dynamics of traveling companions, if any?

Mani Raj: For this whole journey, I just needed a partner, who could make my videos for my YouTube channel. For which I prepared a friend of mine, whose only job was that he would wake up every morning to clean the car and make my videos. Because I wanted my car to not look dirty during the whole journey. Due to less boot space in the car, we kept all the luggages on the back seat and he used the left side front seat and I used to stay in the driving seat. I didn't need anyone to drive my car, because it was my dream to drive my car by myself. And I don't even trust anyone's driving.

India On Road- What were some of the most memorable experiences or encounters you had during your journey?

Mani Raj: Our whole trip was a memorable one. But what we liked in the whole journey was the love of the police at every place. Everywhere our car was stopped for checking, but when he came to know that we were touring India, he did not even check the car and with respect, we were sent off by shaking hands. While driving on the highway, some people used to make videos of our car because it was the first Alto car in India which was going to make a record in India. When we used to stop at any hotel to eat food or something and while coming back, we used to see that a crowd had gathered near our car.

Whenever petrol was poured at the petrol pump, all the people at the pump used to keep looking at our car and by searching our YouTube channel (A2Z The braj), they used to subscribe to it in front of us. These were small moments which were very important in our entire journey. I will not be able to forget all this in my whole life. I LOVE MY INDIA & EVERY INDIAN.

India On Road- Were there any instances where you had to step out of your comfort zone? How did you adapt to new and unfamiliar environments?

Mani Raj: I am an Indian and I was going to explore India on my own, so I did not feel uncomforted anywhere. Going away from my home was the most difficult time for me. Because I have never been away from my house for a maximum of 7 days and now I had to go away for 54 days. I also have a small child of 2 years; he cannot live without me for a single day and now he is going to stay away from me for 54 days. This was the condition in which I did not sleep for two days before the starting date of my journey. There has been full support of my family in this entire journey. It was not possible without family support. But I was determined that I must fulfil this dream. Struggle was for me as well and on one hand it was also for my family, to stay away from me. Even before leaving the house, I did not think that I am going to an unfamiliar environment. I am a son of Mother India and I was going for a walk in the lap of my Mother India. That's why I didn't feel like I was out of my house during the whole journey.

We completed the whole journey with a lot of fun.

India On Road- In what ways has this road trip influenced your perspective on life or personal development?

Mani Raj: As my India is called a golden bird, my India is still a golden bird. I did not feel unsafe or uncomfortable anywhere in the whole of India. If I talk about development, we have seen a lot of development in general, especially in terms of road connectivity. Seeing the condition of the road, it was much better, many new highways were found. Even after coming on the wrong road, we did not feel that we were driving on the wrong road. We seriously liked the culture and infrastructure everywhere. Even our Holi celebration happened in Assam, which was a memorable moment in our life.

India On Road- How do you think your experiences during the road trip could be applicable to the job or profession?

Mani Raj: Actually I am not able to understand this question, what should I say in its context. Road trip is a different experience; it cannot be related to job and profession. Some people's profession is to do road trips, some people's job too. But this road trip was a dream for me which I fulfilled. But I want that people should do this, they should also dream and fulfill them.

India On Road- Your Message Tips and Guidelines to people who aspiring to take similar kind of travel?

Mani Raj: Yes, I want someone to break my record in India too. Seeing my achievement, many people commented on how it was possible, how much it cost, how it was planned and all. Even before me at the start, many people said that he has gone mad. My answer used to be that: I have gone mad. To do anything big, you need passion and madness and both of them have come inside me. When there is hope of doing something big in the mind, then all the roads open automatically and I also practically felt this in this journey. People think, plan and then remain thinking. First of all a person has to understand his own mind, then the family and everyone else. Unless you make your own mind firm, you will not be able to achieve anything. In the beginning, everyone forbade me to do this and today when everyone sees my records, they feel proud of me.

A study suggests an increase of 1% speed from mean speed may result in 4% increase in possibilities of accidents and 3% increment in risk of fatal consequence (WHO, 2020).

If we try to categories different causes, can broadly classify them in to three categories (A) Human Error (B) Logistic & Road Condition and (C) Vehicle Condition.

Though road Conditions and condition of vehicles contributes a significant number of road accidents and resulting death, Human Error comes out as leading cause of same. Human Error causes about 60% of deaths in road accidents. Human Error can be broadly categorized as three broad segment (i) Traffic Violations, (ii) Eligibility to Drive (without valid driver license) and (iii) Non-Compliance with Safety Devices (eg: Helmet, Seat Belts etc.).

INDIA & TWO-WHEELERS: The area of concern:

In context of India, once again speeding is the major reason of all road accident. A report by MoRTH confirms over speeding contributes 66.5% to total number of road accidents. The other cause of road accidents are like indiscipline driving, wrong side / lane, Drunk & Drive, Jumping red-light and distraction from external factors (eg: Mobile Phone) (MoRTH, 2019) .

As we discussed above, two-wheelers in India is the leading contributor to total number of road accident and its resulting death. Deaths related to two-wheelers also increasing year on year, whereas all other kind of vehicles shows a decline trend in last 5 years. The leading cause of death amongst two-wheelers user is Non-wearing of helmets. This contributed around 43000 deaths in the year of 2018, a significant 29% of total death resulting from road accident. It was 24% in 2017 around 36000. Non-wearing of helmets, impact both the rider as well as passengers. Approx. 15000+ deaths of pillion/passenger occurred due to non-wearing of helmet in 2018. (MoRTH, 2019)

Compliance with HELMET: The Eye Opener

Non-Compliance with helmet contributes a higher portion of death in regards to two-wheelers across the globe. Recently WHO published summary report of around 53 different studies across the globes and the findings are eye openers for all (WHO).

Finding Summary of 53 Global Studies:

ü Using of helmet may reduce about 72% risk as well as fatal injury

ü Probability of death may reduce up to 39% compared to non-compliance with helmet

ü Habit of helmet use, potentially reduce the overall hospitalization cost.

An independent report further suggests 42% reduction in risk of serious Injury and 69% reduction in fatal head injury, if the motorcyclist uses correct helmets. The term used “Correct Helmet” to be noted, which probably used with due consideration.

Summary:

To summarize the discussion under this section, we can come to a conclusion use of correct helmet reduce the risk significantly. There are many other area which needs to be looked upon, however using helmet is own choice. Hence to prevent resulting death or head injury from a road accident, we must educate to use of correct helmet.

HEAD & HELMET: The Anatomy & Physiology

Motorcyclists’ uses different protective gears, helmet is most important. This safety equipment primarily down sizes the impact, resulting from a collision. (E.g. Head injury or deaths) Studies further suggests helmet also having some role in reducing the possibilities of accidents too, which we will be discussing later in this section.

As we concluded in previous section, a correct helmet plays a significant role. We must be extra vigilant while selecting a helmet for our own safety. Isn’t it? Let us understand what helmet is? Before we move on to understand about helmet, lets 1^st have brief explanation on the mechanism of head injury.

The Brian:

One must understand the anatomy & physiology or head before developing a quality helmet. A technical expert before designing must needs to get answer to following vital questions. In case of collision what happens to the head? How the Internal & external parts of head reacts to an impact? And finally what possible result these impacts can produce?

To answer the above questions, it is important to know the anatomy of the head. This will leads to further understanding of the mechanism of possible injuries to head and brain.

Ø Have a look in the figure; our brain is surrounded by the rigid skull.

Ø The base of the skull bone, on which the brain park itself

Ø Dura, a dense connective tissue alongside bone surrounds the brain and through the hole below the spinal cord pass.

Ø Cerebrospinal fluid present between the space of dura & brain to protect the brain from mechanical shock between. This sis the fluid on which the brain floats around with a maximum movement up to 1mm in any direction.

Ø Finally at top scalp covered the skull to provide many additional protections

What Exactly Happen inside Head?

In an event of collision or crash often the rider is thrown from the motorcycle. This may result in the head hitting an object or hard surface and all of a sudden the movement of head being blocked. However as the brain inside floats inside having its own speed and continues to move till hit the inside wall of skull. Further its rebounds to opposite side and hits the opposite wall of the skull. This violent shaking of brain results fatal injury or minor concussion. The above can happen through two principal mechanisms. 1. Contact or 2. Variation on speed which is also called as Acceleration-Deceleration. Which indicates there is not always an accident can cause internal head injury, but acceleration–deceleration is also having a great potential of brain injury.

The head injury caused by either contact or acceleration-deceleration are mainly divided in to two category Open or Closed. The most traumatic are closed head injury.

Protective helmet provides and additional layer of protection to the head in preventing injury resulting from contact or acceleration-deceleration. Riders exposed to a higher risk of sustaining traumatic brain injury who rides motorcycle without helmet. Let us understand how helmet work?

HELMET PROTECTS – How it works?

Primarily helmets are designed to reduce the impact of force or contact, thus protect the brain. A quality helmet must be capable of reducing the impact. It protects from head injury by working mainly in three way as follows.

Slowing down the movement of brain:

A quality helmet must incorporate with a soft material as shock-absorber to absorb impact. This helps the brain to reduce speed and stop slower, preventing it from hitting the wall of skull.

Spreading of Force:

A quality helmet must have a capability of spreading the force to wider area, preventing the concentration of force at one area. This prevents hard shocks or contact and helps the brain to float smooth than hitting the wall.

As Physical Barrier:

The helmet at superficial level acts as strong physical barrier, which prevents a direct contact of skull & object.

A Good Helmet:

A helmet which can achieve above functions in combination can be characterized as good helmet. These functions can be achieved through four major components of a helmet. Now let’s find out how different components supplement and complement each other to achieve the above functions. There are four main components of a helmet works as combination to achieve above three safety functions in a helmet (Figure).

Components of a Standard Helmet

THE SHELL:

A strong rigid shell to absorb and distribution of force to large area. This further reduces the impact of force to reach head. No doubt the shell should be strong but at same time it must have the quality of compression if the collision happens with something very hard. The shell protects penetration of any high moving external objects. It also provides protections to internal padding of helmet itself from knocks arising out of daily use.

To summarize a good helmet must have a strong hard shell along with compression capabilities. The shell further should have a smooth finish at exterior to allow sliding on road surfaces.

The Liner to Absorb Impact:

A very important as well special soft, crushable padding made up with molding of polystyrene beads or polyurethane foam. Usually called as Styrofoam. When a helmet hits and object and stops and head still continue to move, this dense layer absorbs shocks. In an event of impact this foam usually compressed about 90% and also recovers a little afterwards. This mechanism increase the stopping distance which results in reduction of deceleration of head.

Comfort Padding:

The material which keeps the head comfortable inside helmet is a padding of soft foam and clothes. The technical aspect of this comfort padding is providing comforts as well keeps the head fitted.

The Retention System:

There is a possibility helmet may remove away from head in an event of crash or collision. To hold the helmet tight in comfort, the role of retention system comes in to picture. This is also called as chin strap. Straps are connected to both side of shell. It’s always advisable to tie the straps correctly to allow helmet performs its duty for which it is designed to.

Significance of Full-Face Helmet:

In addition to basic protective quality, a full-face helmet provides additional protections. These helmets contain addition chin bar. The outer surface of chin bar is made of same material as shell and attached with soft foam inside to protect face & jaw. This particularly protects fractures of facial bone and lower part of forehead.

While selecting a helmet we must keep above information in mind and make a correct choice of helmet for our own safety. The law in different country outlined standards of helmet incorporation the above objectives. In India Section 129 Motor Vehicles Act require a helmet must comply with standards outlined by Bureau of Indian Standards. IS: 4151 specifies the standard and minimum performance requirements. Helmet of motorcycle riders should riders should meet or exceed these standards specified under IS: 4151.

We now have a fair understanding about the magnitude of the problem and its solution. Without further delay we as human being prepare ourselves to save humanity by spreading awareness on helmet usage. Is there a testing mechanism in place? What should be my role in making every rider wearing a helmet while riding motorcycle? An official message by UNWTO states “The human desire to travel and explore is universal, which is why tourism must be open for everyone to enjoy.”

When one asks, which is the sector heavily impacted due to The COVID-19 pandemic? $4 trillion loss so far suffered by global tourism industry due this pandemic. The single voice answer is Tourism industry. Every country has felt the hit on massive portion of their economy in this industry. IndiaOnRoad- What inspired you to start Harshi's Homemade Dessert's Byte out of your home?

Harshita - There is no doubt that I got inspiration from my mother. She is one of the strongest women I know. She has an amazing talent for cooking delicious food, and I guess I got it from her. Without a doubt she is the one that inspired me. Along the journey it was my sister, brother and a lot of my friends that showed confidence and faith in me that led to what I am today. I can’t thank them enough for inspiring constantly and to this date.

IndiaOnRoad- Tell us the journey from the first time you remember baking something? About your professional journey and how you landed in to bakery as business to start?

Harshita - I have always been interested in cooking as long I can remember. I remember that while I would have been maybe like 5 years old, I cooked paratha and just plain potatoes for my family. I always had lots of encouragement from my family. One of the fondest memories of me baking was when in 4th or 5th standard. There was no one at home and I was so excited to bake a cake for my family as a surprise. Little did I know!! They came back home and were surprised, surprised in a funny way as it turned out pretty bad. I had no idea about baking, and I used rice flour instead of all-purpose flour and on top it was a pressure cooker cake. So, it was bound to be a failure. The funniest part is that even my dog jimmy didn’t eat it.

Well passion turned into hobby and then hobby turned into a skill and with the encouragement from my close friends, my better half and of course my family I was able to start this business today.

Here I am today, a full professional baker. But it’s not all gold and roses. It is commitment and focus. There are days when I have to stand 10-12 hours straight. I have to choose work over friends, cut out the social life. Despite all of this, it gives me immense pleasure to be a baker.

IndiaOnRoad- Did you ever get formal training or did you just jump right into the bakery? Some tips on how to start a bakery individually at home?

Harshita - I have never been formally trained. Just a hobby course from IICA Gurgaon. I was fortunate enough to get a chance to work at a chance to work in a reputed homebased bakery at Gurgaon by help of one of my good friend. Working around 6+ month with Homebased bakery run by Sonal Khurana taught me a lot. It took a lot of courage and faith for me to quit my job, but I finally did it and decided to pursue my passion. So, end up working six months at Gurgaon at a friend’s bakery.

You need experience to start a business. I cannot stress enough how important is it to start a business with knowledge about your craft. Even though I did the hobby course, I still felt I wasn’t ready to start the business yet. Only when I had some hand on experience, I finally had the courage to start something on my own.

IndiaOnRoad- What is the toughest part about being now a professional baker and owning your own bakery right out of your home?

Harshita - The toughest part was getting it started is Overcoming the fear of what if I fail? What if I won’t sell? Once I overcame this initial barrier it was

IndiaOnRoad- Your favorite preparation? Do you prefer decorating cakes or cupcakes?

Harshita - Its cake. Well, If I am being honest its everything. Not just decorating. I enjoy the whole process of baking. But it does get a little fun when I must decorate. I t gives me outlet to showcase my creativity and help make people attain their required result.

IndiaOnRoad- How do you market your bakery products when it operates out of your home?

Harshita - It’s a no brainer. Social media is as powerful as it can get. I use pretty much every social media platform. Primarily, Instagram is the one that I would suggest that one should have a page on. I have my online presence; you can check it out on google by typing Harshi’s Homemade. It extremely important to engage with the customers and be available to answer their questions. It costs nothing but has a good return.

IndiaOnRoad- How you manage work overload while working all by yourself for the most part, what happens if you get overbooked and have too many orders going at one time?

Harshita - Overload of work is as common as it is with any other profession out there. As I run it solely, it does get overwhelming at times. There are days when I am doing 8, 10 or even 15 orders a day. I give my last cake the same kind of attention to detail as I would on my first. But it is all worth it at the end of the day when you see that incredible smile and reaction from your customers. I am certainly planning to hire additional staff or interns to help me balance the load as it is bad for the reputation of the business to let a customer go since you cannot manage it on time.

IndiaOnRoad- What happens when you get a customer who is rude or of different behaviors regarding your products?

Harshita - well, you must be professional at any cost. Rather than escalating and letting the situation get out of hand, I prefer to dig deep and sincerely find out the real reason behind the issue. It is best to explain and let the customer know that I am always here to listen and give them the best of my capability. There always will be a few customers who won’t be happy you just have to be professional and deal with it.

IndiaOnRoad- How do you think you are able to stand out among your competition? How you look about competition in your target market?

Harshita - I believe a healthy competition is good. It keeps you on your toes, grounded and helps you be continuously creative to stay ahead of the curve. There are many people who have started the business since I started mine and even at cheaper rates. But I have a very good and loyal customers base who keeps coming for the quality and variety. I took 7 months of work after I got married, but I still have the same customers who keeps coming back and also introduce my cakes to other friends and family. So, it has been good.

IndiaOnRoad- What is the most rewarding thing that you get out of owning your own bakery in your home?

Harshita - This might sound cliché but the most rewarding is the process itself. I basically get paid for something that I love to do. Its amazing. The smiles and happiness of the customers face is priceless when they see my work. That’s absolute rewarding. Being your own boss, working on your own terms. All this is pretty satisfying to me.

IndiaOnRoad- What skill would you say is most important for you to have in your line of work?

Harshita - Apart from the obvious baking skills, I would say that one must be patience, hard working as this is very labor extensive work. Focus, I can’t press enough on this. Once you start getting sales, you lose sight of what got you here in the first place. So, it is important to be very focused and put your soul into every small detail as people trust you to be a part of their happy memories. You become part of it and if you screw it up you end up screwing the memories for the customers.

IndiaOnRoad- What was the worst baking disaster you ever had, that you still just cannot get over?

Harshita - ha ha ha, well, ups and downs are of part of life and my business is no exception. One of the memories that still haunts me is when a customer asked me to make a 12-pound cake. Despite of me suggesting the 3-tier cake in a stand, the customer went ahead with the cake, I was sure, it may going to fall. As we live here in this mountainous terrain, and it is difficult to transport something that heavy which is extremely fragile. Worst part of it was that I was there at the venue when I delivered it. It was a nightmare, but the customers were extremely supportive. To this date it gives me chills thinking about that day. But it is just part of the business. Accidents will happen you just have to hope for the best.

IndiaOnRoad- What you say to motivate youths who want to make a career in this business?

Harshita - The best advice for anyone who is reading this is that baking requires passion. It is hard work and dedication. I am someone who has enjoyed cooking all my life since I was a little kid so cooking and baking is something I am passionate about. If you want to start this line of work, I will say do only If you enjoy it. I’d say don’t do what other people expect you to do. You need to do this only if your heart is into it. It is very rewarding but can get challenging if you don’t enjoy it. I was fortunate enough to realize my love for baking early and I made a career out of it.

IndiaOnRoad- Any plan for expansion out of Almora or spreading Harshi’s Hoe Made nationally?

Harshita - well, absolutely. Expansion is the next step of growth. But for now, my plan is to extend my customer base from my home and then hire additional team and train them. Also, I want to start catering to my resort that my husband and I own. Further, I would expand it to Nanitaal , Bhimataal and then hopefully we would like to franchise it out in the future if your love keeps coming the way it is.

Harshita - first, thanks for this opportunity. I am humbled and honored. I highly appreciate everyone who has taken time out to be a part of my little journey. Once you leave Barkot you will enter in to a new world at top of mountain as Radi Top. The Himalayan View is mesmerizing here. Apart from Radi Top, you can explore Uttarkashi and Harshil valley. Pahse 4 (Kedarnath to Badrinath)- : While going to Badrinath from Kedarnath you have two option one is to take a diversion at Guptkashi towards Ukhimath Chopta or Take a conventional Rudraprayag Karnaprayag route. Will be suggesting via Chopta which will give you an opportunity to visit Tunganath Temple also the total distance will be reduced by around 20KM.

Suggested Route: Sonprayag - Guptkashi - Ukhimath - Chopta - Tunganath - Mandal -Gopeshwar - Chamoli - Pipalkoti - Joshimath- Govind Ghat-Badrinath

Place You can Explore on This Route: A total 2015Km around memorable road to reach Badrinath. This is the last destination in your Char Dham Yatra. While traveling on this route you can explore Guptkashi, Ukimath the winter home Lord Kedarnath, Chopta, Tunganath, Gopeshwar, Johimath etc. Also you must plan to visit the Last Indian Village Mana from Badrinath before finishing your Char Dham Yatra.

Pahse 5 (Badrinath to Rishikesh)- : Badrinath - Joshimath - Chamoli - Kafal Khet –Karnaprayag – Rudraprayag - Devprayag - Rishikesh

First one has to reach the district head quarter of Almora, once reached at Almora city, one can reach Kasar Devi by city buses, shared cabs, taxies, by hiking and trekking of around 8KM. One can also walk through the quaint Pahadi Villages in and around KASAR DEVI is a rejuvenating activity for the nature-loving travelers. One can also take a privilege of Bird watching as Binsar Wildlife is just a stone’s throw away and can even practice YOGA and MEDITATION.

By Road - Road network in Uttarakhand is well connected to almost all the cities. You can take Buses operating from Delhi to Almora or Drive / Bike Ride until Kasar Devi and enjoy the scenic views along road side. You can also hire a cab/taxi to reach Kasar Devi if coming from the National Capital Delhi or any other nearby cities.

By Train - Kathgodam is the nearest railway station, which is around 90KM from Almora. Once you reach at Kathgodam, can take intercity buses or shred cabs to reach Almora.

By Air - Pantnagar is the nearest airport around 130KM from Almora, however the best way to reach National Capital Delhi by flight and from Delhi chose either by Road or Train as described above.
