Birdhouses Anyone?

I have recently taken over the family home and when I was a little girl we always had a birdhouse in the backyard. All the little plastic ones have come and gone and I think it’s time for a really nice one. I miss sitting in the sunroom and watching the little finches play! So, to Etsy I went and I found some options. I was surprised (I don’t know why) at the range of design and price available, but mostly at the creativity out there! These are just three of my top pics…I think I have about 12 favorited right now! Let me know which one you guys like!

I have to say this last one by Clegg Farms really caught me by surprise, at first I clicked on it because the design was so beautiful and then I realized not only was it a birdhouse but a wedding card collector…and I thought…BRILLIANT! What a wonderful idea and a welcome change from the satin pillowcase! Also a great shower gift as you can have it customized to match the couple’s home if they already have one! LOVE it!

So, I am thinking I have had just about enough SNOW. So I am moving towards things that remind me of the Spring I am so desperately desiring. This artwork by Atelier LaFloret of Etsy is definitely one of those things! I have always been attracted to dots for some reason. I just love them…at the end of my sentences, in the middle of them…on my nails, my clothing…you see my point. So when I came across this artwork I fell instantly in love! The swirling colors and details just make me happy! It must be so relaxing and meditative to make one of these pieces, at least I’d like to think so, because they make me feel zen! You can even have custom pieces made with names or sayings…take a peek for yourselves…

Coty Lee On Etsy

You KNOW how I am forever trying to find plus sized clothing on Etsy? Well…I FINALLY found Coty Lee on Etsy who not only custom made me two pieces, (one of which I am wearing right now) but they are SO AWESOME! It blows my mind that I am in NY and she is in NC and yet she was able, with nothing more than my measurements to make me the two most amazing tops in my closet right now. They fit PERFECTLY. I knew that since I was not right in front of her there was always the risk of things running a bit too big or too small, but it was perfect, end of story. Obviously I have to share her with you, even tho I’d love to keep her all to myself. So without further ado, here are some pieces from Coty Lee, who you should absolutely check out!

The first piece is what I ordered, one in all grey and one in blue with black accents. The second piece is from her new Spring line and I am sure more will be coming soon! The jacket is something I just loved, and am still considering…I feel it could definitely be worn into the Spring…and the color is just beautiful! I will be happily stalking her store from now on.

I am addicted…TO THE CUTEST HEADBANDS ON EARTH!!! I know that sometimes you may be a bit hesitant to try out new foods from an unknown online source…but TRUST ME PEOPLE!! DON’T HESITATE HERE!!! If you are a pumpkin addict such as myself and pumpkin bread really gets you going, you need to try these Pumpkin Truffles by Jane of All Trades on Etsy. They were on the main page one afternoon and I was drawn in by the yumminess of the photos alone. They are…as good as they look…and BETTER. They melt in your mouth and the pumpkin flavor explodes onto your taste buds…and you never want it to end! If you are going to a Fall get together and looking for a hostess gift, or if you’re just looking for a little pumpkin-y treat…these are it. This next post is, I think one of the coolest things I’ve seen on Esty! How many of you guys and gals have been married or had a ceremony and still haven’t done a THING with your photos cause you just couldn’t find the right way to present them? Or how many are looking for a beautiful and fun way to put together a collection of photos for a keepsake….or as a gift for someone special…or…just something to spoil yourself? First…my apologies…I know, I know…it’s been too long! My summer life is different than most! Just as you are all settling in for a lovely time of sunbathing and vacations, I am at my busiest working for a summer day camp in the area!
