The Department of Finance and Deregulation's Strategic Review of Indigenous Expenditure  has been published. The review endorses current the Commonwealth policy framework but indicates that the key challenge is effective implementation and delivery. In particular, it calls for a sharper focus on the performance of mainstream services and a rationalisation of the Commonwealth's Indigenous programs.
