This Variant of BAE F2000 design was originally ordered by the Royal Brunei Navy under the MRLF (Multi Role Light Frigate) Program as the Nakhoda Ragam class, Built by BAE Systems Maritime - Naval Ships. Due to a contract dispute, the ships were never commisioned by the Royal Brunei Navy.
The Indonesian Navy (TNI-AL) acquired the ships in 2013, and expected to enter service in September 2014.
The Surface to Air Missile (SAM) originally armed by a MBDA Seawolf had to replaced by VL MICA missiles system.

KRI SINGA 651

Singa Class was the first of FPB 57 programs, a cooperation between Indonesian government and the German government to strengthen Indonesia's shipbuilding capability.
The Technologies and experience gained throughout this programs used by PT. PAL to design and built their own ships up until today.
KRI Singa (651) and KRI Ajak (653) was a NAV I mod. fitted with AEG Torpedoes Tube at the aft. deck.

KRI KAKAP 811

The Kakap Class was the second batch of the FPB 57 Project, first ordered in 1989, KRI Barakuda (814) was the last to be commissioned in August 1995 . 811, 812, 813 was built as a NAV III mod, designed to be a patrol boat and also served as a SAR (Search And Rescue) Platform indicated by its capabilities to receive an NBO helicopter on it's Aft Helicopter Platform, thus very lightly armed compared to her sisters the NAV I, NAV II and NAV V mod.
The single NAV IV (814) was fitted with a minor variations, during the late President Suharto's administration, KRI Barakuda also performed as the Presidential Yacht.

KRI CLURIT 641

The Clurit Class are made entirely by Indonesian shipyard, made out of High Tensile Steel for its hull and aluminum alloy for its upper structure. Powered by 3 diesel engines, the ship can reach the maximum speed of 32 knots. The Indonesian Navy planned to build 6 of the class, with the fourth is currently under construction.
TNI AL also ordered 2 other ship with the same hull design as the clurit, minus the AShM capability, the 2 ships will bear the 8XX pennant number indicating them as part of the patrol forces instead of 6XX pennant number as bear by the Clurit class indicating they are part of the Fast Attack Forces.

The Mandau Class was a Korean-built Fast Attack Craft (FAC). The design was a modification of the US Asheville class design known as PSMM MK V (Patrol Ship Multi Mission). Made out Of allumunium and powered by 2 diesels engine and a gas turbine, the Mandau class can quickly react and reach 41 knots. Within the US standard, Mandau Class is a PGM (Patrol Guided Missile), whilst with the Indonesian Navy (TNI-AL) it is classified as a PSK (Patrol Ship Killer)

The Banjarmasin Class LPD (Landing Platform Dock) are the sister ships of the Makassar class. The Banjarmasin class slightly longer and have a bigger flight deck in compensation for a shorter main super structure. Purchased by The Indonesian Navy as a package of 4 ships along with the Makassar Class, the Banjarmasin Designed and Built by PT. PAL of Indonesia under the Transfer of Technology agreement as part of the deal.
In several occasions, the Banjarmasin Class act as a Command and Control (CnC) during Naval Tactical exercise.

The Makassar Class is the second LPD (Landing Platform Dock) purchased by The Indonesian Navy, she was preceded by the first LPD KRI Tanjung Dalpele (972) which now known as KRI Dr. Soeharso (990). Indonesian Navy Ordered 4 LPDs in total, the first two was built in Korea, the 3rd and 4th ship built in Indonesia by PT. PAL under the Transfer of Technology agreement as part of the deal.

JAKARTA, Media Indonesia - The Ministry of Defense estimates that the procurement process of a corvette type, missile destroyer escort (PKR) will proceed next week Three countries have submitted their proposal to make the 105 meters ship alongside PT. PAL. "There are three candidates who had registered with TNI AL which are being processes. They are Dutch, Italy and Russia, who are committed to develop and build the ships with PT. PAL," said Director General of Defense Facilities Rear Admiral Gunadi in Jakarta, Tuesday (9 / 3 ).
Navy Chief of Staff Admiral Agus Suhartono previously said that the production of PKR could be expected in 2010. The ships will be build in cooperation with other countries as part of technology transfer.
The government has allocated a fund of 700 million dollars for making one PKR. Gunadi confirmed that it is impossible to build all war equiptments in the country. Technological constraints to be one great obstacle to the State Owned Companies to produce high-tech equipment. However, he insisted that the government will try as much as possible to utilize domestic capabilities. "We'll produce as much as possible with domestic capabilities, but we can't entirely depend on domestic products". For example, if we only needed two squadrons of hi-tech jet fighters, it is impossible to make it own our own, we have to cooperate with other countries. But, we'll make sure the domestic industry will get the offset work, that what we call ToT (Transfer of technology), "he said.

DESCRIPTION :

The Pattimura Class corvettes best known to the public as Parchim Class (type 133.1) ASW / Patrol ships. Built during the cold war by the VEB Peenwerft shipyard in 1984-1985, it came into active duty with the Indonesian Navy starting from 1993 to 1996 as part of the 39 ex-DDR ship bought by Indonesia. The Indonesian navy received 16 of this type. Designed to be an Anti Submarine warship, used mainly as a patrol force. On 30th May 2009, KRI Untung Surapati 872 chased out Royal Malaysian Navy KD Baung 3509 who entered Indonesian Ambalat Waters illegally.

Update : KRI Memet Sastrawiria 380 caught on fire during a routine patrol mission on the 18th of august 2008. She was heavily damaged, she was sent to the bottom of the sea by the navy at the location of the accident as a final respect for her services with the Indonesian Navy.

DESCRIPTION:

The newest acquisition by the TNI-AL (Indonesian Navy). Built by the Royal Schelde Shipyard, Netherlands (www.schelde.com). A new breed of ships which use a modular system developed by Schelde known as SIGMA (Ship Integrated Geometrical Modularity Approach) by which several types of ships can be built from a single hull, from patrol ships to frigates.

Indonesian Navy order 4 of SIGMA 9113 (90 M) Corvettes from Schelde, the first two had been delivered last year, designated KRI Diponegoro (365) and KRI Hasanuddin (366) after two National heroes. The other two is taking shapes in Vlissingen and will be delivered until 2009.

KRI Diponegoro and KRI Hasanuddin was sighted in the 2008 Joint Exercise (LATGAB TNI) in June 2008 showing it's ability in front of the High Ranking Officials including President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

Desciption :

Dutch-built corvettes/light frigates; very well armed and highly capable for their size. All Three are still operational. KRI Fatahillah (361) and KRI Nala (363) recently involved in the search for Adam Air's B-737-400 which was lost on new years day near the island of Sulawesi. The two frigates work together along the USN Mary Sears which was sent by the US Gov. to help the Search and Rescue (SAR) effort.

Description :A Yugoslavian Custom-built training frigate. Can serve as a combatant frigate or as a troopship. In the picture above was KRI Ki Hajar Dewantara and KRI Yos Sudarso (far back under the horizon) intercepting a Portuguese Lusitania Express (yellow on the background) bound for East Timor on March 11th, 1992. Following the incident in Dili, then was an Indonesian youngest province (known as the Santa Cruz incident), the portuguese ferry set sail from darwin on a provocative mission.

Description :

Indonesian Navy (TNI-AL) acquired 6 of this Ex-Royal Dutch Navy Van Speijk class frigates between 1977-1980. The ships originally was a slightly modified version of the Royal Navy Leander class design. Only one of six is reportedly still active. KRI Karel Satsuitubun (356) was sent to Ambalat region during the crisis with Malaysia in 2005.

Updates: reported by Indonesia News Agency ANTARA on 10/29/07, three sister ships KRI Ahmad Yani 351, KRI Oswald Siahaan 354 and KRI Abdul Halim Perdanakusuma 355 were reactivated after an overhaul, including re powering the main engine. The 355 and 351 currently in service with the eastern fleet alongside 356. while 354 serve with the western fleet.

Updates: Starting 2011, all six of this class is reactivated with changes to its SSM missiles.

Updates: on the 20th of April 2011, The Indonesian Navy (TNI-AL) successfully tested Yakhont SSM (P-800 Oniks or NATO code SS-N-26). The missile was launched from KRI Oswald Siahaan 354, and hit its designated target 250 km away. The test was conducted somewhere in Hindian Ocean (Samudera Indonesia)

weighs 3000 kg
