IIC will perform on the Short Fringe stage as part of the Indy Fringe Festival.

The Short Fringe Stage is located on the corner of Cooege and St. Clair, near the Art Bank and Beer Tent.

We have two, 15 minute slots. We're planning to showcase a shortened long form format.

Why Impov:

Bess fell into improv accidentally when her husband surprised her with improv classes for her birthday. What started as a fun way to get out of the house quickly became an obsession. Her love of improv comes from the inner game and how the process helps shapes one as an individual. Improv helped her at a challenging time in her life. She wants nothing more than to share the joy of improv with as many people as possible.

Name One Weird Thing About Yourself:

Bess used to train in circus arts with a focus on static trapeze.

Professional Bio:

Bess is graduation of the Comedy Sportz training program. She has also taken classes with IndyProv. She adores workshops and has trained with greats like Jon Barinholtz, Rob Bebulshi, Peter Spellos, Jill Bernard, and Craig Uhlir. Most recently she completed an intensive at The Annoyance in Chicago with improv legends like Mick Napier and Susan Messing. Performing on the Main Stage at They Annoyance has been a highlight of her improv experience.

Bess is a cast member of Dinner Detective where she performs as both a detective and seated actor.

Comedy Influence:

He earliest expose to comedy were the countless hours of watching The Three Stooges with her father as a young child. Bess also enjoys Tina Fey, Jim Gaffigan, Kristen Schaal, and Flight of the Conchords. Her improv influences include Jill Bernard, Tara DeFranscisco, and any show directed by Mick Napier.

Life Outside of Comedy/Acting:

After an illustrious career as an Information Architect, Bess is a homeschooling mom to her three children. She does mom things like drive kids to scouting, karate, and art lessons. She is a certified Montessori teacher and tutors at a co-op. She sings and plays percussion on her church's worship team. While there is little free time to spare, she enjoys video games, comic books, and the geek lifestyle in general. Bess would like to thank her husband for supporting all her crazy ideas.

Jordan Leigh Wheatley

Why Improv:
Jordan chose to explore improv following a childhood love of "Who's line is it anyway". As an actress, she has always loved comedy and wanted to explore that avenue of the craft. People often told Jordan she was naturally comedic and she tends to be quick-witted in nature, so she sought out improv lessons to hone her natural ability and gain confidence.

Name One Weird Thing About Yourself:
Jordan has been attacked and bitten by a tiger.

Professional Bio:

Jordan is a professional actress and model. Her desire to act has been an all encompassing, lifelong passion that extends as far back as her conscious memory. From a young age, her dad began teaching her impressions from a young age and they would often invent characters to play for fun. She got her first opportunity to act in the 4th grade, which sealed the passion. Jordan has been acting in films, short films, commercials, and webseries consistently for the last 7 years. Jordan's ultimate goal is to be able to act full time. She is a student of the game, spending free time researching the industry trends, techniques, and studying. She has been practicing and performing improv for the last year and has already studied under internationally recognized improv coaches.

Comedy Influence:

Jordan's comedy influences includes the Wayans' Brothers, Joe Pesci, Melissa McCarthy, Sandra Bullock, and Jill Bernard.

Life Outside of Comedy/Acting:
Jordan works in the medical field for her day job. She also works brand promotions for major companies. She enjoys reading, painting, sewing, and photography. Jordan spends a lot of time with her husband, Matt, and parents, along with her beloved pets. She also enjoys singing but she's utter rubbish at that.

Why Improv:
Cori loves the freedom of creating something that has never been seen before and can't be repeated. Sometimes it stinks and that is ok, because sometimes it all comes together and THAT is magic!

Professional Bio:
Cori did singing telegrams in high school to raise money for trips and sang with The Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

Comedy Influence: Cori loves Tina Fey and Amy Poehler and the ladies of SNL. They are fearless with their funny.

Your Life Outside Comedy/Acting: Cor has been married 25+ years to one of the most supportive men. They have two awesome kids who are adulting like pros! She is a massage therapist in her off time and works at a birthing center full time.

Hand Up for Stand Up Comedy Benefit a Success

IIC performed at the Hand Up for Stand Up Comedy benefit in Edinburgh, IN at the historic Pixy Theater. This event raised money for the American Cancer Society. We performed a set of short form games. It was a honor to be among so many wonderful acts for such a great cause.
