Ok so here's the deal. I'm getting rid of a bunch of nail polish I don't wear anymore and I figure there's someone out there who might want to take it off my hands for a small price. :) Please keep in mind that most of these have only been swatched/worn once or twice, but some of the bottles show noticeable wear. Most of them are nearly full though.

So let the blog sale begin!! I'm going to list these at $5 a pop (yes, even the cheapies simply because of shipping costs). In the comments please tell me what polish you want and leave an email where I can send a paypal invoice. Thanks! Your polish will be shipped once payment is received. All prices are in USD.

For photos please search my blog or Google it. You should have no problems finding images of most of these polishes. If you cannot find one, please let me know & I'll snap a pic. It would be way too time consuming to go through & photograph all 42 polishes!

Ok, so I have the technical difficulties all sorted. The main thing that's changed is that the blog url will now be inept-beauty.blogspot.com So please follow the blog under it's new address!! All the old posts are there and that's where the new posts will go live! But you have to follow the new blog if you want to keep reading. :) Sorry this had to happen, but basically my email attached to my blogger account got hacked, so I am deleting it. Which will delete this blog. BUT I exported it and imported it to my new blogger, so all is well. Just a little moving pains!

EDIT: Looks like I didn't have to delete the blog after all!

Technical Difficulties

Just a heads up that things might be a bit bumpy in the near future. I've had some strange activity going on with my blogger, and I think I can deal with it by creating a new account and importing my blog. Hopefully it's as easy as that! Fingers crossed! The blog may be down for a while during it process, so please be patient. Hopefully you'll all still be connected, but if it doesn't work out like that, please re-follow/friend me! :) See you on the flip side! Once this is all sorted, I have a new base coat I wanted to post about! Or...alternately...if this doesn't work and is a complete disaster...Goodbye! It's been a blast! :)

Organized polish? I haz it!

Hello lovelies!!

Today I had the crazy idea to organize my polish. It's been in drawers & another tub, but it was never really organized. So today I went and organized the heck out of em! haha
I've got OPI & Essie in my top drawer, China Glaze & Orly in my middle drawer, and then the last drawer is mostly Barielle, Zoya & whatever was left over.
The tub that previously had my untrieds in it, now has all the nail care items. Strengtheners, top coats, base coats, files, remover, buffer blocks, clippers, Konad etc. This has greatly cleaned up my polish area & now I have to go look at ALL of my polishes to find what I'm looking for & might see something I haven't worn in a while!
I think this will also help for whenever I get around to my blog sale! *coughwheneverthatmaybecough* I don't want to keep any of my Sinful Colors polishes, I never wear any of them, and as for the rest, I basically just have to go through & find polishes that I either don't wear enough or have dupes of. Because aside from polishes like Charla & Splash of Grenadine....I don't purposely do dupes & multiple bottles.
Anywho,hopefully I'll get around to it next week. I know I've said that before, but eventually I'll be right! haha

Happy Holidays!

To my fellow Canadians, Happy Belated Canada Day!! Hope you had fun :) My hubby made it special for me by telling people at work to come say Happy Canada Day to me. hehe We also went on a little date night & tried out a fab pizza place!

To my American friends, Happy 4th of July!! Have fun & watch some fireworks! I think hubby & I are going to a cookout with friends tonight. :) Should be good times!

I'll try to get the photos for my blog sale up this week sometime! I'm actually making progress deciding which polishes I want to sell. Sorry it's taken me so long to get around to. But as I said, it's a very daunting task, what with all the polish I've hoarded over the past year. ha!

Also, I want your input! Do you prefer my blog as mainly polish related, or do you enjoy the occasional makeup post too? Would you like more makeup posts integrated? I'm trying to decide if I want to make my blog & youtube channel more cohesive. Right now they're fairly separate entities, outside of the fact that I have my youtube widget on my blog. lol Tell me what you think! I want to know what you want to see. :)

OPI: La Paz-itively Hot

Hey hey!

So this is one of my new favourite polishes for Summer! It's so awesome! It's vibrant & bright & loads of fun to wear. It looks great on fingers & toes. It's just a great bright and flashy polish to sport in the warm weather!
I also love that it has a flash of purple micro glitter or something. Adds some nice depth to it.

See it? The purple flash! Isn't it pretty?

This polish has great coverage. I was very happy with 2 coats. And it wears like iron!

I know I'll be wearing this multiple times over the next few months. :)

Essie-French Affair

Hi everyone!!

Today I'm sharing the perfect pale pink with you! I know we've all gone on the hunt for it, and most of the time we don't find it. Usually they end up being way too sheer & need about 50 coats to be opaque.
Not this one! It's amazing. The best light pink I've ever found. :)

Look at that! Perfect! This is 3 coats. I had minor bald spots with 2. But you can get away with 2 if you apply it carefully.

This is a little bit more pink than a lot of pale pinks. But I really like that about it. You can definitely tell it's a pale pink & not a milky white.

This colour looks great on. It's very soft and nice. It applies well & is quite opaque. This is so much easier to work with than most other pale pinks. Essie did a fabulous job on this one! It's a real winner. :) If you don't have it, you need to. It's the one that will stop your search! I'm going to sell all the other pale pinks I own. All I need is this one!

MAC-Frayed to Order

Hi guys!!

Can you believe it's May already?! Where has the time gone? It's just flying by!
I played with the good camera over the weekend & got some nice pictures for this post. I hope you like the new & improved photography! I had a lot of fun playing. :)

If you've been reading my blog for a while, you'll know that this is probably the first and last time a MAC polish has appeared here. While I adore MAC makeup, I've never been all that attracted to their polishes. For the price, they were always easily dupe-able. But when the Jeanius collection came out, I fell in love with this polish! It's a white pearl base with red pigment! So different!

I didn't pick this up when the collection came out & I instantly regretted it. Luckily, when I went to my local MAC last week to ask if they still had any, they did!

This polish is tricky to apply, but it is a matte. Mattes are notoriously difficult to apply! However, with this polish it didn't bother me. It just added character to the already unique polish.

I wish I was better able to capture the gorgeous red flash in this polish! But it was very hard to photograph unfortunately.

I applied 2 coats of this, and there's still VNL. But honestly, with this polish it didn't bother me either. I swear, there is magic in this polish to make me absolutely LOVE it even though it was both streaky AND showed VNL. I will say though, that this wore quite a long time for being matte. I think I wore it for 4-5 days before any chipping started!

This is a tricky & imperfect polish, but I am so glad that I have it. It's just so totally different from anything else in my collection and I am so in love with the way it looks. It really is beautiful & something every nail fan should have!

Hello ladies!

I realized the other day that I missed my 1st Blog-iversary! I believe it was March 31st when I started. :)
So happy birthday blog! And thanks to everyone who reads!

I've been lazy lately & gotten off schedule, so I'm trying to think of ways to improve the blog & get back on track.

First, I think I'm going to try and start using hubby's nice camera to take better quality photos for you. That will be an easy & good improvement!

Next, I think I'm going to try & get back to some kind of schedule. We see how well I do without one. ha!

I also might start doing some weekly series'. Not sure what about yet, but I'll think of something. OR you could suggeest some things you'd like to see! I'm all ears. :)

And I was wondering, do you like this blog as mainly a polish blog, or would you be interested in a more diverse 'beauty' blog that has makeup, hair, & body products as well? I want to blog about things that you'd like to see! So please let me know!

Hello lovelies!!

Sorry I haven't been posting much lately. I just haven't been wearing any new nail polish, or much nail polish at all this month. I'm having one of those times where I think "oh I want to wear this colour!" but as soon as I put it on I think "eh, I'm not really liking this. Boo!" so I take it off. I've been putting on colours & taking them off way too much this month. So I took that as a sign to just have bare nails for a while.

I'll post something as soon as I get a new colour on my nails that I enjoy!

I'm wearing something that I am completely in love with & wanted to share it with you. :)

Sea Spray is from the Anchors Away collection & it's just a beautiful, unique, light blue grey cream. It became an instant favourite of mine!

It applies like a dream & is opaque in only 2 coats. It looks like there's VNL in this pic, but it's just the lighting & the fact that my nails are scratched & dinged. lol Sorry about tthat! I've been wearing this mani for about 4 days now. Not a single chip though!

This colour is fantastic & I'm so glad I decided to get it. :) I highly recommend it!

She's here! She's finally here! :)

Kelly is a beautiful deep grey cream polish with a hint of purple/blue. In the bottle it looks more purple, but on the nail it looks more blue.
The application was a dream! It applied so easily & was opaque in just 2 coats. Wear is average, minor tip wear after 3 days. No big chips yet!
This is my first Zoya cream & I am so in love with it! I definitely need to try some more!

Hello lovelies!!

This week we've got more Zoya! :)

Her name is Crystal, she is beautiful. Like no other polish I own.

Crystal is this beautiful midtone blue, with super pretty golden shimmer! I tried to capture it with this photo, but it really doesn't do this polish justice. It appears darker in the photo than it really is, and the shimmer is much nicer on the nail.

I wish I could have captured this better! It's such a gorgeous, unique polish! The contrast of the blue with the gold shimmer is stunning. It wears well, I think I wore this for close to a week with minimal tip wear. It covers well too, this only took 2 coats for opacity.

I am more than thrilled with this polish! I'm so glad I picked it up. :) If you like unique glitters, this is definitely a good option. It's not at all what you'd expect!

Hello ladies!!

I hope you all had a great weekend! :) Did anyone watch the football games? It was my hubby's birthday yesterday so we had a fun day. :)

I got 2 of my 3 Zoyafree polishes in the mail the other day & just had to put on Zara! It's so pretty. I don't know why I waited so long to get this! (Crystal arrived with Zara, but Kelly is on backorder so will be showing up later)

How gorgeous is that?! It's a really lovely light/medium purple that is full of a golden bronze shimmer! It's a bit on the sheer side (similar to Happi) but it builds nicely. After 3 coats you can still see some VNL, but this polish is so pretty it doesn't bother me.

I tried to get a bottle pic to show the shimmer, but I don't think I captured it well. So far this is wearing pretty well too. No chipping or tip wear & I've been wearing it for 3 days.

If you're looking for Zoya colours to try, I really recommend this one! It's so unique and just beautiful! :)

I felt kind of bad that I haven't really worn any of my untried polishes yet, and didn't have anything new to show you from the polish world. But then I remembered my nail wheels!! Thanks to Karen's "Not Nail Wheel Wednesday" post. :)

I have been wearing Bare it in Trafalgar Square quite a bit lately! I just love it's neutral appeal. It's nice for if you don't want bare nails, but can't choose a colour.
