Google Browser Size - A tool to see how Internet useres view your website

Google has developed a tool called Browser Size, to help the website owners to understand how internet users see their website.

This tool is based on a sample of data from visitors to google.com. Special code collects data on the height and width of the browser for a sample of users. For a given point in the browser, the tool will tell you what percentage of users can see it. For example, if an important button is in the 80% region it means that 20% of users have to scroll in order to see it. If you're a web designer, you can use Browser Size to redesign your page to minimize scrolling and make sure that the important parts of the page are always prominent to your audience.

Windows Vista and Windows 7 has a built-in feature called Shadow Copy. This feature creates point-in-time copies of files as you work, so you can retrieve versions of a document you may have accidentally deleted. Shadow copy is automatically turned on in Windows Vista and creates copies on a scheduled basis of files that have changed. Since only incremental changes are saved, minimal disk space is used for shadow copies.

Access this feature by right-clicking a file or folder and selecting "Restore previous versions." It enables you to go back in time and access your files and folders as they were on previous dates. You can preview each file in a read-only version to determine which file to restore. Then, to fully restore it, you can just drag the file to a folder, or select it and click "Restore" to restore it to its original location. It works on single files as well as whole folders. When accessing a previous version of a folder, users can browse the folder hierarchy as it was in a previous point in time.

Google Goggles lets you use pictures taken with your mobile phone to search the web. There's no need to type or speak your query - all you have to do is open the app, snap a picture, and wait for your search results.

Google Goggles works better with certain types of queries. Try taking pictures of books & DVDs, landmarks, logos, contact info, artwork, businesses, products, barcodes, or text. Currently, it's not so good when taking pictures of animals, plants, cars, furniture, or apparel.

Google Goggles is currently available for Android devices running Android 1.6 and above.

According to Nielsen’s latest VideoCensus numbers, Facebook jumped to No. 3 behind established video powerhouses YouTube and Hulu in terms of total streams. That’s up from No. 10 just last month. Facebook generated more than 217 million streams in October to more than 31.5 million unique viewers, up from 110 million streams to 23 million viewers in September.
