An extraordinary attribute of Friday’s launch was the substantiation of a new multi-tube MLV through the test. The three-tube MLV augments multiple the targeting and deployment options in the conventional and nuclear modes. With its shoot-and-scoot potential, the MLV offers a major force multiplier effect for target employment and survivability.

According to an ISPR press release, the missile test was conducted to validate the design parameters of the weapon system and a new Missile Launch Vehicle (MLV). Babur Cruise Missile is a low flying, terrain hugging missile with high maneuverability, pin-point accuracy and radar avoidance features. It can carry both nuclear and conventional warheads and has stealth capabilities. It also incorporates the most modern cruise missile technology, Terrain Contour Matching (TERCOM), Digital Scene Matching and Area Co-relation (DSMAC).

The test was eye-witnessed by Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), General Khalid Shameem Wynne, Director General Strategic Plans Division, Lieutenant General (Retd) Khalid Ahmed Kidwai, Commander Army Strategic Force Command, Lieutenant General Tariq Nadeem Gilani, Chairman National Engineering and Scientific Commission (NESCOM) Muhammad Irfan Burney, senior officers from the armed forces and strategic organizations, scientists and engineers.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani appreciated the triumphant test and praised the scientists and engineers on their exceptional achievement.

The test will strengthen Pakistan’s strategic deterrence capability and further reinforce national security.

HARARE: A man from Zimbabwe has deeply fallen in love with a donkey. Moyo, 28, was taken into custody in the town of Zvishavane, about 300 kilometres (185 miles) south of the capital Harare on Sunday.

He has informed the court that he hired a prostitute who at some stage in the night transformed into a donkey, and that now he is “seriously in love” with the animal, state media said Wednesday.

According to The Herald newspaper on Sunday Moyo said in the court, “I think I am also a donkey. I do not know what happened when I left the bar, but I am seriously in love with (the) donkey”.

He said he had compensated $25 for a prostitute, and was flabbergasted Sunday morning when he heeded people condemning him of having sex with a donkey.

The Court has charged Moyo on account of bestiality and furthered ordered him to go through a mental examination.
If the OPEC wants to raise the price of oil they simply reduce the production of crude oil due to which demand of oil boosts which increases the price. OPEC member together hold 79%world crude oil reserve and 44% of world production that allow the extensive control of global market. The member of OECD (organization for economic co-operation and development) and post soviet states produce only 23.8% and 24.8% respectively.

OPEC was created in 1960 which include twelve members in this organization. It is the association of oil producer that attempts to enhance the oil price above the competitive level in order to curtail the supply of oil. Its meeting takes place twice in a year in which oil ministers of all twelve countries assemble and make a decision of overall oil output, price and assign quotas of oil to individual member.

Energy consumption is profoundly correlated with the country gross national product and climate. The developed countries are using more energy as weighed against underdeveloped countries. The United States is using 25%of world energy and there is noteworthy growth in China in the utilization of energy resources.

The world is using fuel and energy for diverse rationales. Fuel and energy consumption increases from last two decades as a result of industrial revolution and world population. The observable fact is proved by the reality that China is the largest user of fuel and energy consumption. Its consumption decreased in 2009 due to economic crises in the world. Coal, natural gas, and nuclear now have become the fuels of choice for electricity generation and conservation measures increased energy efficiency.

By and large in world, Industrial users (agriculture, mining, manufacturing, and construction) consume about 37% of the total energy resources. Personal and commercial transportation uses 20%. Residential heating, lighting, and appliances utilize 11%. Commercial uses (lighting, heating and cooling of commercial buildings, and provision of water and sewer services) amount to 5% of the total. The 27% is lost in transmission and generation of energy resources.

Progress in technology will trim down the oil price because of substitutes that will be available soon. It will also reduce the strain on usage of oil. Different energy resources are available now like nuclear energy is used to meet the electricity demand of the world. There are 436 reactor in the world in which uranium is used. China and Canada are the biggest consumers of hydropower electricity. Biomass, biogas, wind power, solar power and geothermal is also giving out in world energy resources. The post included the position of plug-ins in the background of the rival HTML5 Internet multimedia specification and the prospect of the Web.
The post said,
"As part of the continued support for scenarios that require plug-in based capabilities, we will ship a beta of Silverlight 5 at Mix, with some great demos for compelling scenarios”.
The post was signed by Walid Abu-Hadba, corporate vice president of Developer Platform & Evangelism; Scott Guthrie, vice president of the .Net Developer Platform; and S. Somasegar, senior vice president of the company's Developer Division.
Microsoft spreads Silverlight as an expansion podium for fabricating interactive user experiences for Web, desktop, and mobile applications either online or offline. Version 5 is set to draw attention to 64-bit potential, H.264 video, remote control support, enhanced power responsiveness, and digital rights management. Silverlight is sited as a vital elemental building block for constructing rich experiences for Windows Phone.
Silverlight is prospected as the preeminent alternative for plug-in experiences by Microsoft. HTML5 for the time being is owed by Microsoft as a way out for "many scenarios." Also, HTML5 is placed as the groundwork for the Internet Explorer 9 browser.
The Microsoft officials have said that after the introduction of Silverlight 1.0 in March 2007, two important changes have come into the industry dynamics. Many users have moved from using PC’s to using other available devices and HTML5 has appeared to the scene to counter many different scenarios that needed plugins before.
According to the post,
"Neither plug-ins nor standards-based approaches, however, represent the single answer to client development. In general, we know developers always want the best of everything in a single tool, but at the same time recognize that is not a practical way to approach development. Developers need to make choices and tools will continue to evolve,"
The representatives explained that they might have not completed as much as necessary to lay emphasis on tooling for HTML5.
"We're going to emphasize that much more going forward as the clarity of feedback and the emphasis our customers want us to place on these tools for the professional toolbox is clear."
Furthermore at Mix, Microsoft has plans to talk about Windows Phone, XNA, and Visual Studio.

This happened as Punjab Police has reached to a decision contrary to what was the claim of Raymond that whatever he did was for his self defense.
Punjab government prosecutor Abdul Samad shared with media, “He has been remanded in judicial custody for 14 days. The next hearing will be on February 25”.
Lahore Police Chief Aslam Tareen told reporters, "It was clear cut murder. Witnesses told police that Davis kept firing even when one of the men was running away. It means he wanted to ensure that that they were killed ".

This is all the result of Jan 26 shooting by US officer, Raymond Davis, in which 2 people were killed and a pedestrian died by the accident of an embassy car which came to aid him. Raymond was surrounded by the local people on the scene. When police came and arrested Raymond then he claimed that he shot the two men in self defense because they were trying to rob him. Police also found two pistols with the dead bodies of the killed Pakistani locals.
After that US embassy in Pakistan claimed that held official is a diplomat and has got the immunity therefore. This is still an issue to be solved. Pakistan foreign office has not yet spoken in this regard except what we heard from foreign office spokesman that the case is in court and no comments on immunity can be passed outside court.
Davis' lawyer also today filed a petition, confronting the court's jurisdiction over the case. Arguments on this petition will be heard on February 25 by a judge.
This incident has also injured the friendly relationship between the two countries. Pakistan is under an immense pressure by the US. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, as said by the State Department, has lifted the matter with Pakistani officials and the U.S. ambassador to Pakistan, Cameron Munter had meetings with Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and phone talk with the PML (N) leader Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif on the issue. Pakistan has also been threatened by the US congress members in their meetings with Pakistani officials to be ready for the cuts in the US funding to Pakistan.
Rep. Howard "Buck" McKeon said on Tuesday after arriving to Washington from meetings in Pakistan and Afghanistan, "We indicated it could very well be" that the United States might consider withholding funding,”.
Rep. John Klein said, "It is entirely possible that a member of Congress would come down and offer an amendment to cut funding for Pakistan, based on their detaining Mr. Davis, and my guess is there would be a lot support for such an amendment, frankly because of the outrage of detaining an American with diplomatic immunity," .
The case has ignited some protest and stimulated anti-American sentiments in Pakistan. The case has become a time-bomb for the government as Pakistani nationals have taken a hard line that they want blood for blood or exchange of Pakistani nationals , Dr. Afia specially , prisoners in USA and Guantanamo-be. Local lawyers also disagree on diplomatic immunity of Davis and believe that there is no diplomatic immunity according to international diplomatic principles for grave crimes.

In New Zealand city Auckland and capital, Wellington, firework, dance and singing event occur in the midnight hours for the celebration of New Year The tallest tower in the southern hemisphere Sky Tower celebrates the new year by lighting up Auckland's sky with fireworks from the top of the tower..

European people also enjoy the New Year celebration as they want to forget the worries of past years. As in this year the economic situation was very bad in Europe. The New Year is greeted with private fireworks. This day is also the occasion to make bonfires of discarded Christmas trees in some countries

In the united state it is a tradition that people spend the time of New Year with their love ones. A toast is made to the New Year, with kisses, firework and parties according to their customs. In New York City, the 11,875-pound (5,386-kg), 12-foot-diameter (3.7-m) Times Square Ball located high above Times Square is lowered starting at 11:59 p.m., with a countdown from :10 seconds until :01, when it reaches the bottom of its tower. The arrival of the New Year is announced at the stroke of midnight with fireworks, music and a live celebration that is broadcast nationwide.

The New Year celebration occurs with high enthusiasm in England. The New Year observes just by having parties among the families and friends or assembling at a pub or club. As the clock tick 12 people enjoy the time with cheering, whistling, hooting, kissing and drinking toasts. The tradition of exchanging gifts is broadly famous in England.

In Taiwan, the end of the year celebrates with concerts held in cities including Taiyuan, Taichung, Taipei, and Kaohsiung. Last year, the nation used higher technology to communicate among the cities via video, enabling the cities to count down together. The most crowded city was the capital, Taipei, where most people gathered by Taipei 101 and shopping centers in its vicinity. The tower was located in the shopping and financial area of the Xenia District. People gathered around the streets of Taipei 101 as they count down. With each number they count, one of the layers of Taipei 101 (eight floors per layer) lights up until 0, when the fireworks shoot out from the top of each layer (eight layers excluding a layer under the antenna) in different directions, as shown in the picture at right.

In Canada New Year celebration varies from nation to nation. Major cities like Toronto and Montreal New Year celebrates with music and fireworks in the midnight.

Even in the country like Pakistan, coalition partner in War against terrorism, New Year celebration is arranged officially at beach of Karachi where a large crowd is expected to see the fireworks along with the fountain showering.

The New Year thus has proved to be the time to stop thinking about the old worries and start a fresh life with glee and happiness. May this year brings peace and harmony among the countries of the world.

General Motor Company generated:

Revenue of $34.1 billion

Net income attributable to common stockholders of $2.0 billion

Earnings per share on a fully diluted basis and adjusted for 3-1 stock split of $1.20

Earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) of $2.3 billion

Net cash flow from operating activities of $2.6 billion

Free cash flow of $1.4 billion

GM told reporters on Wednesday, “The third-quarter earnings of $1.20/share almost equal the collective earnings of the first two quarters of the year. The earnings were boosted by higher prices from newly introduced models such as the Buick LaCrosse, a midsize lavish sedan.”

The company has refunded or will refund taxpayers $9.5 billion, and the government anticipates retrieving the left over $40B out of $50B with the Nov. 18 common stock offering and more than a few upcoming sales. Also the most recent outcome inverted a $908 million loss, or 73 cents/share, in the third quarter of foregoing year.

GM reported $2.1 billion income from North America, $646 million from international operations, and loss of $559 million in Europe. The earnings per share number for the quarter were in sync for three-for-one stock splits agree by GM's board last week.

GM’s reasoning for the profits is that the company has curb on costly enticements and is earning more per vehicle on some fresh products. He added that Gm is producing $7,500 extra per car for the 2011 Buick LaCrosse contrast to the earlier model. Lacrosse sales have over and above two folded up to now this year.

The third-quarter makings arrive just in due course when GM executives are opening out to U.S. and European money centers to trade investors on the just round the corner IPO. The positive third-quarter staging should make easy their case.

For sure, investors will have questions about the losses in Europe and how GM will take care of greater than ever contest that's approaching in the U.S. for more than a few top GM models. Such as the new-fangled Chevrolet Cruze compact now is the most up-to-date car in its class in the U.S., but Ford, Honda and others soon will make public strapping latest products.

President Zardari meets UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon

U.N Secretary General Ban Ki-moon travelled to Pakistan on Sunday where he urged international donors to step up aid for millions of victims of the country's worst humanitarian tragedy. The U.N chief met both Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani and President Asif Aliz Zardari to discuss relief efforts.

The floodwaters have swamped thousands of villages and towns, washed away roads, key bridges, crops, and livestock. Pakistan’s sources say that the shocking floods, triggered by heavy monsoon rains, have disrupted lives of up to 20-million people across the country.

U.N Secretary General Ban Ki-moon says his visit to Pakistan's flood-hit areas was meant to share his sympathy and unity of the United Nations with both the government and the Pakistani people.

Mr. Ban said, "I am here also to urge the world community to speed up their assistance to Pakistan people".

The United Nations has appealed for 460-million dollars to deal with the instant repercussion of the floods. But U.N officials say foreign aid has been slow in coming and only 20 percent of its initial appeal has arrived so far.

Mr. Ban said, "We will try to mobilize all necessary assistance and remember that the whole world is behind the people of Pakistan in this time of trial".

The most awaited result of Great Britain elections has
come and as predicted it shows a hung parliament. The Conservatives won most seats but not enough to secure a majority and are looking to the third-biggest party, the Liberal Democrats, for support to form a government.

Gordon Brown, showing character after getting fewer seats than conservatives, says he "respects" the right of Mr. Clegg to negotiate to David Cameron first. But if that fails he recommended Labor could do a deal with the Lib Democrats.

Conservative leader Mr. Cameron said he wants to make a "big, open and comprehensive offer" to the Liberal Democrats to "work together" in the national interest.

Mr. Clegg began meeting his frontbench MPs at 1030 BST and will meet his wider parliamentary party at 1200 BST to discuss Mr. Cameron's proposals in the result of general election to constitute a hung parliament since 1974. The party's federal executive, its governing body, will meet at 1700 BST.

He says, “We will also make sure we don't betray our principles”.

US Attorney General Eric Holder said Mr. Shahzad was held at John F Kennedy Airport in New York on Monday as he attempted to leave for Dubai.

Mr. Holder also said, "This investigation is ongoing, as are our attempts to gather useful intelligence, and we continue to pursue a number of leads."

He added: "We will not rest until we have brought everyone responsible to justice."

Police said that they had tracked down the registered owner of the dark, 1993 Nissan Pathfinder that contained the crude home-made bomb but he was not a suspect. He sold his car three weeks ago to a man described as of Hispanic or Middle Eastern appearance, aged about 30 which is now claimed to be Faisal Shahzad.

Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmud Qureshi said on Tuesday that Pakistan will provide full cooperation to the United States over New York bomb plot.

The senior Pakistani government official said, “Pakistan and the US have ongoing, robust cooperation on counter-terrorism. If required, we will extend fullest cooperation to US."

It also reports that Shanghai has increased security measures significantly for the event. An added 8,000 police officers have been brought in to help Shanghai's 46,000-strong police force to guard the city.

With about six million registrations, as reported in October, up 600 percent over the last year, the San Francisco-based Twitter has had impressive growth after its launch in 2006.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg at the Web 2.0 Summit a few weeks ago, called Twitter an “elegant model” and said that he was “really impressed by what they’ve done.”

Several sources close to Twitter say that the primary reason for not selling was because its board simply did not want to, so far or perhaps ever.

Modi after the government launched a tax probe into alleged financial irregularities in the high-profile Twenty20 event.

A statement from the president BCCI, Shashank Manohar (R) said,

“The alleged acts of individual misdemeanors of Mr. Lalit K. Modi, chairman IPL and vice president BCCI, have brought a bad name to the administration of cricket and the game itself.”

Businessman Chirayu Amin, who runs a pharmaceutical business in the western city of Vadodara, has been named the interim chief of the IPL. He is one of the five vice-presidents of the BCCI and a member of the IPL's governing council.

He said, “A number of documents were missing from the IPL office which tax officials had been asking for.”

Mr. Modi has denied all allegations of wrongdoing.

After the IPL final in an address to the crowd, he insisted that the league was "clean and transparent".

"There have been some off-field unpleasant dramas based on the unknown, half-truths and motivated leaks from all sorts of sources," he said.

"I reassure you that if there has been any flouting of the rules and regulations or if there have been any irregularities, I shall take full responsibility."

Mr. Prime Minister fired the starting gun Tuesday on a month-long election race, setting May 6 as the date for voting which is hoped to be the closest-run poll for a generation.
Speaking outside Downing Street, Mr Brown described the official announcement of the May 6 election date as the “least well-kept secret of recent years.”
He further said, “Britain is on the road to recovery and nothing we do should put that recovery at risk,”.
Conservative leader David Cameron said that his party offers hope, optimism and change and a fresh start to the country.
Remember, The opinion polls put the Conservatives in the lead.

Powermonkey eXplorer and the Solio Magnesium Edition Solar Charger , both of them are quite satisfactory. However either of these solar chargers are quite expensive and run upwards of $100. ThinkGeek, budget consciously, has made the Pico Freeloader Solar Charger, a compact and lightweight wonder that according to the specs provides power of 35 hours on mobile phone, 14 hours on iPod, or 1.5 hours on GPS on a single ten hour charge. A nice thing about the Pico is that you can recharge its internal lithium ion via USB in winter season (no sun) and it cost only $39?
