<p class="wp-block-paragraph">There is a saying I learned from an inspiring teacher recently &#8211; <em><strong>Kindness Heals what Mindfulness Reveals</strong></em>. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">There is no doubt this saying has been around a long time, yet there is still so much benefit in contemplating what this means.  I often find that kindness arrives with more ease when I am practising with others.  A kindness that is not just about the right attitude of care and curiority, toward the practice and myself, but also the felt sense of kindness, maybe a kind gesture, the tenderness of a soothing touch, or allowing the tear to come.  </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Why this kindness?</strong> Because life is a serious business and when we meditate, we invite ourselves to open to the possibility of investigating and understanding what is going on in our lives, what is causing us to experience both suffering and joy.  I think you might agree this requires Kindness, with a capital K.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Anyhow, whether you know &#8230;or you are not sure&#8230;here is an invitation to join a community of like-minded practitioners to meditate and practice mindfulness together.  These are the few sessions I am offering before I head to Australia for some family time.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Every other Friday, begin your day with the trust of your practice and the company of like-minded friends. Our next Friday morning meditation practice is <strong>June 19, and the last one before summer is on July 3.</strong> &nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Sometimes we feel like we are spiralling. Maybe the weight of all the things that are unravelling, in ways and directions most of us would not have expected, is having an impact on you.  It&#8217;s easy to feel anxious, alienated, even angry &#8230;and I want to let you know that there are some other things we might do.  </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">First, I want to welcome you to the new look Ingredients of Wellness website &#8211; a place of calm and tranquillity amongst the overload of information and busyness online. I invite you to have a look around and perhaps enjoy some of the <a href="https://ingredientsofwellness.com/free-resources">free resources</a> I am offering.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A <strong>BIG</strong> thank you to the wonderful <a href="https://ellekwan.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Elle Kwan Studio</a> for turning many thoughts and ideas into something so beautiful. Do tell me what you think&#8230;this is a website for our existing community as much as it is for welcoming new friends.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Now, what else might you do? In the midst of these feelings of annoyance and powerlessness, I keep coming back to my meditation practice. My practice helps me widen and deepen the lens through which I am experiencing things. It helps us to stay grounded and to act more wisely when action is required. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">We are offering two retreats in the coming weeks that may support you to feel the ground, explore wise actions and best of all, disconnect from all that information for a few hours or days.</p>
