April Showers...

Good Morning Stampers,

...bring May flowers! I am home today catching up on many things. The kids are finishing up there last few weeks of school year (in college), my husband is away on business, & I am making attempt to catch up!

Today I created a cute Sunflower card for you. It is not my original idea. I put my own spin on it but can not take credit for the adorable sunflower idea.

I drew the smiley faces on by hand. The actually sunflowers were created using the 5 petal flower.

I think that this same idea would look adorable as a Daisy ~ using the scallop circle punch, whisper white card stock, and a yellow center.

Stay tuned I am going to have to try it. I will post the pictures soon.

Finally...

Hi Stampers,

It looks like it is finally here...we are getting out much needed rain. We had a very dry winter and spring. The ground was so so dry and fires have been bad in this area in the past couple of weeks. Todays rain is so welcomed.

It gave me some time to finally get a few things done in the house that I have not been able to get done.

Have you seen the the Retired List yet? Oh WOW...so many stamps are retiring!

While that is sad ~ it is also exciting to anticipate what is coming!!

Today I created a card using a set I LOVE ~ Heard from the Heart

Heard from the Heart is a stamp set that we will have to say good-bye to come May 31, 2012.

I attached the bitty flowers to this card using the big shot and the square lattice embossing folder. A fun technique and easy to try.

Good Morning Stampers,

So glad it is Friday! What a week - really nice weather, a business trip to NYC, and a little stamping...what could be better.

Sorry I have not been posting all week - but it has been busy and I was not able to carve out any computer time to post.

I have a quick post today because I wanted to show you this cute card ~

It is not a good picture I am sorry. It was not taken in my Stamp room where there is good lighting but rather in my kitchen. I will retake it and replace it with a better shot this weekend for you.

I love the little flowers that were punched and adhered to the top - a tone on tone look.

On the Whisper White the flowers were embossed on and it gives a totally different look.

I love the way this card turned out. It is very sweet and soft!

I have to report that Stampin' Up! will no longer be carrying the Dotto adhesive (#103305).

They are currently out of stock and won't be getting anymore in.

They are retiring it from the catalog effective immediately. If you have ordered it and it's on back order, Stampin' Up! will be issuing you a refund.

Good Morning Stampers,

Hope you are enjoying a beautiful day! It have been a bit windy here - but the sun has been shinning! I actually made a pot of soup yesterday. All the brisk wind put me in the mood for a nice bowl of soup! Love love love soup!

Today I wanted to show you another Birthday Card I created in my attempt to create Samantha the perfect card.

This card is very sweet. I love the laser cut work on this one.

I used the Designer Cuts (item #125414 pg #9 Occasions Mini) for the card base and the 3/4" pleated satin ribbon (Blusing Bride item#125570pg #12Occasions Mini).

This card is so soft in person and very sweet but it was still NOT the card I wanted!

Happy Easter Stampers,

Hope you had a wonderful weekend. It was a gorgeous day! We spent our day with family, family, and more family! What could be better?

The kids are back at school and I am going to spend today working on projects for our Stamp Club Class on Friday.

Today I wanted to show you another Birthday Card I created in my attempt to create Samantha's Birthday card last month.

I like it - it is very femine!

But a little to pink for Samantha. She is more of a purle girl!
