Make 10 Cards for $15 or 20 cards for $25. You can make all one kind or a little up both the choice is up to you. Included in 10 card stack is your choice of the Holiday Frame Texture folder or a roll of Very Vanilla seam binding ribbon. Included in 20 card stack is both the Holiday Frame Texture folder and Very Vanilla seam binding. In your class fee is all supplies needed to make your cards including envelopes.

I'm thrilled to announce the details for this years Gift Buffet.

Mark your calendars for:
Friday, Nov 2nd 7-12pm 3791 Seasons Drive (Mandy's) - Acworth, GA
and/or Sat, Nov 3rd 10am-5pm - Grace Community Church Kennesaw Ave, Marietta GA

If you are attending Friday please plan to create no more then 2 gifts.
If your attending Sat you should have time for 5/6 gifts.
(you're welcome to order more kits to do at home- supplies can be cut/stamped at either event)

Hi everyone! If there is an everyone out there…

I am in the process of revamping my blog and my craft room and hope to be posting soon. Please be patient as I get this all underway again.

I can’t wait to share what I’ve been making (over the past year!) and what I’m working on next. I hope to be more consistent in my posting, but if I’m not that’s just one less email you have to sort through in your inbox. LOL

Here is a, sort of, before picture of my craft room. It isn’t what I work in everyday, though it is close. I forgot to take a picture before I started tearing things apart. This picture is after I’ve started to sort through things! No, really it is!

I’m putting a fresh look on the blog also so keep checking back.

Finally, I’m getting the details and pictures posted for this class! I think my original posting said a couple of days, but I should have said a couple of weeks! Whew!

Card Keeper Class: Saturday, Sept. 17th at 10am

I think you’ll agree, it was worth the wait. Here’s a some pictures of one of the card keepers you can choose from. This one uses Timeless Portrait DSP and Creative Elements stamp set.

You’ll be decorating this great card keeper box from the new Holiday Mini catalog. Coming out September 1st!

You’ll also be making four “all occasions” cards to get you started. The Card Keeper also comes with 6 dividers, so you can keep all of your cards organized and ready for any occasion.

You’ll have 3 different Designer Series Paper packs to choose from.

Your second choice is Spice Cake DSP and the Simply Soft hostess stamp set.

Your third choice is Berry Blossoms DSP and Raining Flowers stamp set.

Pennant Die Birthday Banner

Perfect Pennants die is such a fun and easy die to use! I made this banner for my daughters birthday. She picked the colors from the Brights Collection. Didn’t she do a great job? I wish I had a better camera because these pictures just don’t do it justice, it is so cute!

Making this banner was much easier than trying to photograph it!

I had such fun adding all the bling. I mean you can’t have too much bling, right?

I made all the butterflies using the Beautiful Wings embosslit.

All the little flowers were made with the Boho Blossoms punch.

The bigger flowers were made with the Fun Flowers Die and the white flower is from the Paper Daisies pack.

I textured all of the letters using the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Whew, say that 3 times fast! All the pennants were textured with the Perfect Polka Dots TIEF. There, that’s definitely easier to type anyway.

For more sparkle I added Glimmer Brads. And since that didn’t seem like enough I also add some, okay well a lot, of Basic Rhinestones Jewels.

All the letters were made with the Alphabet Simple Letters die.

Even though I made the banner for my daughters birthday, since mine birthday is only 5 days later, I left it up for me. Whether you’re 9 or 90, and I’m definitely not 90, every girl should have a glittery birthday banner!

I just realized I never posted this! Enjoy.

I love this scooter! Here’s a shout out to my friend Dina. I was thinking of you when I made these cards! If I come visit you in Toronto will you give me a ride?

My inspiration for this card came from Sandi Maciver.

I used my aqua pen and classic ink to color in this cute little scooter.

It’s hard to see but I added a little rhinestone for the headlight. It just make the whole thing pop!

I was definitely out of my comfort zone with these colors and I’m still not sure if I like it. I think it needs some Old Olive… Teehee!

I hope you’re inspired to go and create something!

Boy that takes me back to the 80’s! Can anybody tell me who the group was?

Michele Foerst & Gail Sachtleben were my inspiration for these cards.

I’m keeping the first one as my sample. It’s my favorite, probably because of all the Old Olive in it. Anyone who stamps with me knows it’s my favorite! I try to use other greens, or heaven forbid no green at all, but I just keep coming back to Old Olive.

The one below is for my husband for Father’s Day. I hope he likes it!

This one I made for a make n’ take, at this months Bunco, Stampin’ Up! style. Nothing like a fun night playing bunco, stamping and hopefully winning Stampin’ Up! product. :0) Usually I don’t win, but it’s still fun!

At this fun event you’ll be making six cards and two 3-d projects. Three of your cards will be used to create gift sets to be given to those impacted by cancer.

Everything will be pre-cut and ready to go. All you have to do is come ready to enjoy yourself while making cards and, most importantly, making a difference!

What a sweet set! As soon as I saw it in the new Summer Mini Catalog, I fell in love! It’s probably because I love to watercolor, not that I can watercolor in real life though. But that’s why I love stamping. With stamping, it looks likes I can watercolor! (wink)

I made this card for a friend who fell and broke her ankle and her wrist. Get better soon Cheri! I hope she doesn’t see this post before she receives her card... :0)

Lately, I’ve seen a lot of cards using white on white cardstock with loads of texture, so, I just had to try it out myself. It was such a quick and easy card to make. And yet, it has the look of a card that took a long time to create.

I ran the base of this 3 1/2 by 5 card through the Big Shot using the Finial Press Texture Impressions folder. I “recycled” by using a scrape piece of Whisper White card stock that already had the edge punched with the Scallop Trim border punch. Before I stamped, it was run through the Big Shot with the Tulip Frame Texture Impressions folder.

The image is stamped in Stazon black and then using my aqua painter and classic ink pads, I colored it in (Perfect Plum, Old Olive & Bashful Blue). Added a few pearls, of course, and then spritzed it with the Smooch Spritz. The camera didn’t pick it up, but the spritz gives it a nice pearly finish.

This one is definitely a candidate for 1 of the 2 cards we’re making in this month’s Card Class, along with a Father’s Day card. You’ll have to check back in a day or so to find out. Love and Care

I thought I’d try some new colors. Well, new to me anyway… I have my favorites, and it’s really hard to get me out of my comfort zone. That’s why, even though I’m mixing it up a bit, I still had to use Old Olive!

Color combo: Flowers - Baja Breeze, Marina Mist, Not Quite Navy, and Old Olive. Card stock - Very Vanilla, Night Quite Navy, and Soft Suede.

I textured the background paper using the Square Lattice Textured Impressions folder, and then distressed the edges. All of my sentiments were too long for the Modern Label punch, so I cheated a little. I measured the width of the punch (it comes out to about 9/16”) then cut a strip to that width, and stamped my sentiment. Slipped the end of the strip through the bottom of the punch and placed it where I wanted it punched. Then did the same for the other end. Voila!

This was actually the first card I made with these colors, and in the middle of making this one, I came up with the other one. Luckily, my brain didn’t lose it before I finished the first one!

I think I like the second one best. What do you think?

“To die for” Big Shot Class

Recently, I’ve seen a lot of easel cards made from the Beautiful Butterflies die, and it got me to wondering what other dies I could turn into easel cards. Hmmm…

I thought this would also be a good idea for my next Big Shot class, which is this coming Thursday, by the way. The first two easel cards are the ones we’ll be making in class, and the second two are samples of what else you could do with your dies. I still have a few more dies I’d like to try, but that’s for another day!

Butterfly Anniversary

Of the four I made, I think this is my favorite. It is so beautiful and elegant. It looks much better in person! I used the Scallop Square and Beautiful Butterflies die for this one

The main colors in this card are Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Basic Black, and Very Vanilla. I added some Basic Pearls, which I seem to do a lot lately. But they are so sweet, and go with everything.

Summer Fun

Our second project for class. I used the Scallop Circle and Scallop Circle #2 die.

This is such a bright and happy card! If I was feeling down and received this card, I know it would perk me up right away. And I’m not just saying that because I created it. LOL

The flowers and sentiment are from the level 2 hostess set in the new Summer Mini Catalog, which I received for free! Thank you Stampin’ Up! This set reminds me of my all time favorite set - Watercolor Garden, which retired several years ago and I still haven’t gotten over it. ha ha

Get Well Rolodex

I love this Card, Telephone & Address die (what a long name for a die!). I bought an old cast iron looking Rolodex and have a ton of ideas running around in my head. Maybe a sort of family tree photo album thing… Oh well, I’ll just have to see what happens!

I also used Mandy’s Fun Flowers die, again. I had just given back to her and had to borrow it all over again. :0)

Owl Fun

This picture is a little washed out. Not sure what happened, but real cute in person. This one also uses the Scallop Circle and Scallop Circle #2 dies.

Of course, he needed pearls t00!

First Friday Card Class

Card class this week. It sure came on quick! Here are this months samples:

I’ll show you how to make faux tin ceiling tiles. All you need is an embossing folder, versamark, and a some silver embossing powder. And, viola!

Here’s the second card we’ll be making. It’s very fun and cute, if I do say so myself!

"tea"rific!

I was feeling inspired and even decorated the inside of the card! Must have been the extra "vitamins" I was drinking today. Teahee! Oops, I meant teehee…

I grabbed the sentiment for the Elements of Style stamp set and added the “tea”rific with the tea bag behind it. It was one of my rare inspired moments!

More Fabric Fun!

I was digging through my closet, it so needs to be cleaned out, (Amy, come help me!) and ran across a “craft”, kid-sized, t-shirt to play around with. It actually still fit my daughter, which is amazing, considering how long it’s been in there!

I used an iron on adhesive, then sewed the buttons on top.

I love the jean flower the best!

Flower Hairclip:

I put this together the same way I made the bookmarks.

But instead of sewing ribbon on the the back, I sewed a hairclip. I was in a hurry, so it’s not pretty (on the back), but it works!

Of course, it has to have a little bling! This butterfly came from something my daughter had that was broken. I’ve gotten in the habit lately of holding on to those little “bits of bling”. They sure come in handy!

Well, that’s all I’ve come up with so far. I still have a whole tin full of fabric flowers left, but, I’ve run out of ideas. Hopefully inspiration will strike soon, and I’ll post some more.

Fabric Fun

Remember my mess from the other day? (It was the other day when I started this post, now it’s been weeks!) Well, here are some of the things that came out of it!

Here’s a bookmark I made. This one was actually made with flowers from the Flower Folds die. Like I hadn’t cut out enough with the Fun Flowers die! Isn’t it too cute? I had one piece of retired Melon Mambo ribbon and thought it would be perfect for this.

I clipped off the back of one of the brads from the Vintage Brad set and adhered it to the Melon Mambo button. I sewed the button on first to hold all the layers together. Button sewing is the limit of my sewing ability…I couldn’t resist adding a couple of charms. I think I’m going to use this one for my bible. It’s a tough choice, I might have to make one for each the various books I’m reading! I adhered the Black Taffeta 1/8 ribbon to the other ribbon with glue dots. Not the best solution but I couldn’t figure out how to do it any other way. At least not without stitches showing.

I made this one for my daughter, using the Fun Flower’s die. She reads like crazy and this is the only bookmark she hasn’t lost, so far!

She wants to trade hers for mine…She says mine has a bigger key and a crown, no fair!

I did end up making this into a little coin purse. I used the Crop-a-dile to punch holes in the fabric and set the jumbo eyelets. I have found so many uses for those eyelets! The cord is from some retired stuff I had laying around. I made it long enough to go over her head and across her body. It looks too cut on her!

I cut the butterfly out with the Beautiful Butterflies die and made it into an iron-on. Again no sewing! Same with the little bit of our Victoria Crochet Trim.

I’m still working on other ideas for the flowers. My friend Cheri gave me some great ideas, so you’ll just have to check back and see what I come up with.

Then I am so totally creative!!! By the time I took this picture I had already started to straighten things up.

First, let me say, fabric is way out of my comfort zone…

I was cleaning up my stamp room the other day, and as I was organizing my dies, I picked up my favorite of the moment, Fun Flowers (I’m almost done Mandy, really!) and noticed a stack of fabric and an old pair of jean shorts that I’d been meaning to try running through my big shot….whew, now that’s a run on sentence.

Anyway, I decided to cut up the shorts and run the pieces through the Big Shot using the Fun Flower die. Then I thought "why not run some of this other fabric through it'?. As you can imagine, my cleaning came to a screeching halt. What’s that kids book? If You Give A Moose A Muffin…

Now, while I’d decided to cut out all these flowers, I still have no idea what I’m going to do with them!

I love how the Big Shot cut even through the hems on the jeans with no problem. Just like it was butter!

While I was at it, I cut out the back pocket of the shorts. I figured I could make it into something! Since the pocket was

sewn to the shorts, all I had to do was cut it out. No sewing or anything! I’m thinking it will make a great change purse for my daughter. It might even hold a tube of lip gloss. A girl can’t go out without her lip gloss, or so my daughter says.

I’m thinking maybe a bookmark. At the Stampin’ Up! Leadership Conference this past January, managers and above received a cute one made of paper, but a cloth one would work even better.

Stay tuned! We’ll just have to see what I come up with.

I Have Spring Fever

Between my husband and daughter being sick, and the dreary weather, I need Spring bad! So, under the guise of watching over my sick family, I spent almost an entire day blurfing, looking for Spring and inspiration for a gift set class. It felt rather decadent, but, I had a wonderful time searching for it. Between getting glasses of water, kissing foreheads, and spooning out cough medicine, I found some wonderful spring cards and projects. Too many, in fact!

While I’m typing this, the sun is finally shining and it feels like spring. I’ve got a great project to share with you and I’ve also gotten what my family had! Oh well, I hope you like it and will join me for this wonderful class.

This ensemble includes a set of 6 cards and envelopes, two butterfly magnets, bookmark, and note pad. All nestled in a cute tin. (This Tin is currently on the Clearance Rack of the Stampin’ Up! website!)

These cards, inspired by Kim Sinclair, were created using the Fresh-Cut Notes and Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Paper.

I love these two butterfly magnets. They have just the right amount of “whimsy”. Who knew a little bit of roof flashing your husband would use on the house, would look so cute in your kitchen? (Beautiful Butterflies die - pg 206)

This is a great bookmark. It’s backed with the cardboard from the pack of Designer Series Paper to give it a little extra durability. It makes me want to curl up in a chair on my back porch and read a good book. Or maybe it’s just the Spring weather and not the bookmark at all. Nah!

Using the same die, I made this little note pad. Perfect for your purse or car. I don’t know about you, but I never seem to have a piece of paper around when I need to jot down a phone number or an email address. (Two Tags die - pg 206)

And here it is, all wrapped up and ready to go. Ta-da!

Scallop Envelope Big Shot Class

I saw these great projects on Carrie Gaskins blog and thought they would be perfect for this month’s Big Shot Class.

This would make a very cute Easter gift. It fits 2 Ghirardelli Chocolates perfectly, for that special someone in your life. Maybe a girl’s birthday party, party favor! Lots of possibilities.

I can’t get enough of the Fun Flowers die in the Occasions Mini catalog. Poor Mandy is wondering if she’ll ever get her die back! Soon, Mandy, soon…

I hope you’re not tired of the Nature Walk set because I just had to use it again! It’s such a wonderful set and perfect for spring, summer, and okay, fall too.

With this card, you’ll learn how to make a smaller border with the Tulip Impressions folder, marker-to-stamp techniques, and little water-coloring. Lots of fun stuff all on one card.

Here is the 2nd card you’ll be creating. This one is thanks to the swap I received from Abby Hoover. All I did was change the color, use a little watercolor paper, and crayons.

Don’t be intimidated by the water-coloring! I can’t paint myself into a corner, but colored these. So if I can do it, you can too.
