The activities kept the kids busy and avoided the chaos of sixteen kiddos running around wild.

Tips for decorating pumpkins:

• Carving and gutting is just too much for young kids.  Keep the pumpkins intact. 
• If you're daring, give them fine-tip permanent markers to draw with.  If you're not (I'm not!) give them dry erase markers.  It will wipe off, but they can decorate the same pumpkin over and over!  
• Halloween stickers - regular, sparkly and foam were all popular!
• Need more sparkle?  Add some glitter glue.

Rachel whips out scrapbooking pages in minutes.  It always amazes me! 

Creating titles for her scrapbook pages is a great way to practice her letters.  Her teacher is trying to get her to write with the correct mix of upper and lower case letters and this is a great way to practice.

Paper: Whisper White, Brilliant Blue and Real Red card stock

Accessories: Paper Snips, Paper cutter with Scoring Blade, Word Window punch, dimensionals, sticky strip

How to make the Pop-Up:

1. Score the 4-1/4"x11" piece of Real Red card stock along the 11" side at 1", 2-3/4", 3-3/4", 5-1/2", 7-1/4", 8-1/4" and 10".
2. Fold the Real Red card stock in half on the 5-1/2" score line.  Line up the edge of the card stock  so that you will be punching HALF of the Word Window off.  Repeat so that the card stock is punched about 1/2" from each edge.
3. Stamped Bear pop-up is on a 5-1/4"x 2-3/4" piece of Whisper White card stock. (Make sure the image is AT LEAST 1-1/4" from the bottom.)  
4. The Brilliant Blue card stock is 3"x 5-1/2".
5. Fold up the TWO 1" flaps of Real Red card stock so that they are INSIDE the card.  Slide the bear piece through the Word Window punched slit and use Sticky Strip to adhere it between the TWO 1" flaps of the Real Red card.
