One of the things I like best about being a demonstrator is the friendships I've formed over the years with customers and fellow demonstrators.  I'm often asked by people thinking of starting this business "do you really find time to stamp just for fun still?".  My answer is always YES!  Even though it's "work" I enjoy designing projects for classes, stamping for family members, stamping for our PTSA Sunshine Committee and stamping swaps to exchange with other demonstrators.  

Every quarter we do a great swap and the demos are literally across the entire country.  We send them to one demo in the Denver area and she sorts and sends them back out.  

Today I wanted to share one of my favorite swaps from the Occasions Mini.

This was done by Cindy and WOW did she do a lot of work.  You'll probably need to click on the picture and look at it full sized, but she colored the front panel with our markers for all 28 swaps we had to send in!  That's amazing!  I always say if you get a card from me that required a lot of coloring or cutting (like a flower) you know I really like you!

For this card Cindy used:

One of my New Year's resolutions is to provide more ideas to you more often in more ways.  Wow!  I have a plan to get this done and now I just need to get to it.  One of the first steps to any plan is getting organized.  Under that category, one thing that will make delivering this information easier is to switch email service providers.  Right now I use Constant Contact and I really LOVE them.  It's an easy service to use, but it has some limitations.  I'm switching to aWeber for more capabilities and I've done a lot of training in the past couple of months to get ready for this.

Happy Saturday!  I hope you got to sleep in if this is your day for that - I'm waiting for tomorrow.  Today is cheer practice for my daughter and so I sit here at Star Bucks and create on my computer, catch up on email and make my to do list for the weekend. Thankfully, yesterday I got some Christmas shopping done so the list is considerably shorter.  

Well, on to today's sample:

The big thing to notice is that the card itself is just a folded white card.  I didn't even make an extra white layer on this one - go for simple if you're still stamping for the holidays.  Your loved ones (kid's teachers, coworkers and others you give to) will be so happy you took the time to make something!  Just do it!

Hey!  It's Friday - how did that happen?  The weeks seem to just be flying by!  I made an executive decision to NOT stamp my family Christmas cards this year.  I created them using MDS (My Digital Studio) and they are being printed by Stampin' Up! for me. What a relief!  I will get a box next week and all I have to do is fold and stuff them!  I was also able to make matching stationery in MDS for the letter we put in the cards.  As an extra bonus I made some coordinating Thank You cards that the kids and I can send - wow!  I love MDS!  I will be sure to show you everything next week so be sure to check in.

For today, I have another Christmas Card that we made at the last Stamp a Stack (Trumbull, CT 06611).  This one I would call quick and easy.  I love how the cards look when you use the Scallop Square Clear die to make them.  Let me know what you think!

As I told you yesterday - I've really gotten into the clean and simple look.  People love to receive them and they are super easy to do.  I think our lives have gotten so busy that just looking at something simple has a calming effect.

This is another card we made at the last Stamp a Stack.  You might notice that the center of the flower has a different color - that was done with the marker after we stamped it in the Cherry ink.  When there is such a small surface to marker and the colors are both very dark it fine to do this technique without cleaning your stamp.  Again, simple.

These classes will start again in January.  I'm working on the scheudle and samples - can't wait to show you.  Everything will include products from the upcoming Occasions Mini - it's the BEST!

Don't forget that the Holiday Mini ends on January 3.  The quilted ribbon, stocking punch and jingle bells used on this card are only available until then.
