			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Kaiser Baas</strong> is an electronics company that sells the latest gadgets in Australia to retailers like Harvey Norman, JB HiFi and Officeworks. When we first began work with the Kaiser Baas Facebook Page, Inkfluence created a logo, cover image, thumbnails and landing page to make it ready for an audience.</p>

<p>There had already been some status updates posted and an existing audience that needed further engagement as there were minimal comments. In order to get people to converse on the page, we assisted with graphic design for advertisements and special offers, copywriting of status updates, managing competitions and posting newsworthy items of interest to stimulate a more vocal following.</p>
<h2>Facebook Competitions</h2>
<p>Recently Kaiser Baas ran competitions for Mothers Day and the school holidays, appealing to the target audience of women aged 25-64 who are involved with their relatives, friends and families. Social media engagement for this audience involved appealing to their love of home and family.</p>
<p>The <strong>Mother’s Day Competition</strong> attracted many new fans and women sent in beautiful photos with stories about caring mothers, past and present (we would have loved to give away 98 prizes to all the entries as they were very thoughtful and touching!)</p>

During the <strong>School Holiday Drawing Competition</strong>, 41 parents assisted their children to create and post adorable artwork for the chance to win a digital keyring. Supportive comments followed, where parents complimented each other’s children on having a go and producing creative pieces.</p>

<h2>Guessing Games</h2>
<p>A great idea included posting a “guess what this is?” photo, which was taken with the Kaiser Baas Digital Microscope. Our audience enjoyed posting witty answers and having a chuckle over the previous comments.</p>

<h2>Summary</h2>
<p>With more conversation and engagement improving audience communication on the Kaiser Baas Facebook page, advertising clickthrough rates improved and many products were sold through a trackable URL from the Facebook advertisements to the Kaiser Baas website. Not only did Kaiser Baas improve their sales and website traffic, they were able to utilise social media successfully to find new fans and customers and create interest in their brand.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Before the Facebook Timeline theme came in, the old way for companies to get fans to “like” their Facebook page was to offer specials, promotions and competitions behind a landing page, which non-fans had to “like” in order to get access. This had the advantage of building a fan base for marketing purposes, as well as retaining exclusivity and giving rewards to people loyally liking the company page.</p>
<p><strong>This technique is still possible to use in Timeline</strong> – by channelling people to a landing page from any Facebook links on a website or other media. The trick is to make the landing pages appealing and interesting to people, so that they will want to get access. Most people who use Facebook know if they are spammed with marketing, they can always “unlike” the company page, so they are easygoing in joining up to see what’s on offer.</p>

With hundreds of well-known brands of mens and womens shoes, The Shoe Link website needed a boost via the addition of website content in order to attract more traffic overall, and to ascertain the popularity of brands among Australian consumers. Suzanne Day from Inkfluence wrote 30+ detailed blog posts over 3 months, most using SEO targeted content to attract more organic traffic to the website.</p>

<p>The design of the blog posts included creating images sourced from brand companies and manipulating them to make them more attractive, striking and fresher to blog readers. Copy included<strong> researched keywords</strong> which were used in the meta, url, headings, tags and image descriptions to increase “expertise” ranking in Google. Some backlinking was used to push the articles to high ranking for the keyword phrases and most featured on the front page of Google for the phrases within days of being published.</p>

<p>The Shoe Link also needed some blogging to personalise the company and a number of staff profiles were created by Suzanne, highlighting the positive qualities of the staff and their favourite shoes. Suzanne also created blog posts for Fathers Day, Christmas and the ROAR Fashion Show.</p>

In effect, Inkfluence became a <strong>ghost writer</strong> of the blog (as we’ve done many times before!)</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Barry Beckett Childrens Centre</strong> is a community based long day care centre that provides care and education to children from 3 months up until school age. In 2010, the centre committee decided to design a brand new website in Joomla, to allow easy editing via the backend by the centre coordinator.</p>
<p>Inkfluence designed and implemented the website with search engine optimisation techniques combined with a Google Places listing. Barry Beckett noticed a strong increase in the number of people contacting their centre through the website and traffic stats showed increased unique visitors of 700 targeted people per month within the first three months.</p>

<p>The design of the website involved conducting a photo shoot of the centre. Barry Beckett is a fantastic centre with lots of facilities, beautiful looking rooms and a well-kept garden for the children to play in. The co-ordinator of Barry Beckett wanted to communicate the personal touch of the centre so it would stand out and not be like a corporate childcare franchise (although it would have similar information and documents on the site for parents).</p>

<p>Inkfluence conducted the photo shoot and used the photos throughout the website to show parents what a beautiful centre Barry Beckett is. A flash gallery of images also showed parents what they could expect regarding the environment their children would be in (these photos really &#8220;sold&#8221; the centre to the parents &#8211; click the images to scroll).</p>

<p><strong>Since the Barry Beckett website was launched, the centre has never been short of filling places in the centre.</strong> Access to employees (who were looking for a small, pleasant working environment of this type) improved as well, with many enquiries for employment being received through the website. Enrolments and handbooks were placed online so that parents could apply for places and not have to travel back and forth filling in documents and receiving paperwork.</p>
<p>BELOW: Inkfluence also designed the signage used on the front fence at Barry Beckett as advertising for passing motorists.</p>

<p>&#8220;As Director of a community based child care centre, we were looking for someone to design a web site that reflected our centre. <p>Working with the team at Innovative Sourcing, Inkfluence produced a Joomla CMS website with a simple layout, making the use of graphics and SEO techniques the main priority. All graphics were produced by Inkfluence, some by using combinations of commercial stock photography in collage work.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Essendon Gem &amp; Lapidary Club was formed by a group of lapidary enthusiasts in 1969, providing an opportunity for people with a wide variety of interests in precious and semi-precious gemstones and minerals to meet together to share their knowledge, develop their skills and enjoy the fellowship of those who share those interests.</p>
<p>While most hardcore lapidarians tend to be of a mature age, a growing generation of younger lapidarians is emerging in recreational clubs around Australia. To attract a larger share of this younger demographic, the Essendon Gem &amp; Lapidary Club has made use of modern technologies and techniques, such as incorporating new beadwork techniques into lapidary, offering silversmithing facilities and creating an attractive club website.</p>

<p>Suzanne Day originally created the Essendon Gem &amp; Lapidary Club website in 2005 and has revamped it four times &#8211; from a static Dreamweaver site to a PHP Nuke site to a Joomla CMS site and finally, the WordPress site it is today. Along this website design journey, we learnt what made the ELC club website so successful &#8211; personal and humourous fossicking stories from other lapidarians, information about the club and lots of photos of the members (who are well known in many circles!)</p>

<p>Over 2600 people visit the Essendon Gem &amp; Lapidary Club every month from organic searches in Google. These are targeted hits by people who are already interested or very likely to be interested in lapidary and have found the club by searching for terms like &#8220;rock club&#8221;, &#8220;gem club&#8221; or &#8220;lapidary club&#8221;. The ELC SEO plan did not involve paying lots of money to attract traffic &#8211; we simply created a comprehensive web presence with SEO content geared towards hobbyists interested in learning about lapidary.</p>
<p>2600 people doesn&#8217;t sound like a lot in regards to traffic generation, but it is translating into the purchase of memberships for the club. Every month, there are approximately 30 emails and 3 memberships generated. Since most members tend to stay with the club for a few years, the club is slowly but surely growing in members.</p>

CLC-VIC commissioned a new Joomla CMS website from Inkfluence in 2010, incorporating a Member&#8217;s Section and an updated design.</p>

<p>The first stage of the design was to map the functionality of the website, which included adding Google maps for the link groups and for the lactation consultants. CLC-VIC wanted the public to access consultants and link groups by location so the information would be quicker to find. Inkfluence mapped the requirements in Google Maps and incorporated the maps into the website.</p>

<p>A member’s section needed to be included as well, to display newsletters and lactation consultant resources behind the scenes, so this was added to Joomla and customised.</p>
<p>Every year, CLC-VIC holds an Annual Conference, which required a registration form, the provision of a Conference Programme and payment details provided to members upon registration. Between Conferences, a gallery of photos of previous Conferences needed to be displayed. Using a Flash program, Inkfluence created the gallery as well as the forms, Programme and payment details display.</p>
<p>Finally, it was time to make the website look more modern. Inkfluence redrew the logo for CLC-VIC, adding it to a relaxing, motherly-style banner. The main photo montage for the CLC-VIC website is the most eyecatching part – completed in six hours, everyone on the committee as well as Inkfluence staff were pleased with the creative image!</p>
