IM440 – Fern & Flora

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is a variety of flower images!

FERN & FLORA

I thought to pick out one flower image and use the colors in the inspiration piece. I love the new Hydrangea Hue blue…and it is so pretty with Bubble Bath!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Bubble Bath cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Hydrangea Hue cardstock was embossed with the Floral Spray Embossing Folder.
The flower image from Fern & Flora stamp set was stamped four times with Basic Black Hybrid Ink on Basic White cardstock, then colored with the Water Painter and Hydrangea Hue, Peaceful Pine and Bubble Bath Inks. The centers were colored with Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blends.
Each of the flowers were cut with the Scalloped Blooms Die, then assembled on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The label from Scalloped Blooms Die was cut from Bubble Bath cardstock and stamped with the greeting in Basic Black Hybrid Ink.
Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the side of the greeting.

Saturday Blog Hop – Use Your Stash

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week’s theme is “Use Your Stash”…this is a challenge to use something you haven’t used before or that you have a hard time using! I know we all can relate to buying something and then not using it!

JUST PEACHY

I’m pretty good at using the products that I purchase…but every once in a while, I order something and then struggle to create designs with it! I’ve used this set ONCE so far…and figured it was a good time to try it out again!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Golden Glow cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 piece of Peaceful Pine cardstock was added on top.
The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Moonlit Flora DSP was added over it.
Two 1/2 x 3-3/4 strips of Peaceful Pine cardstock were adhered behind a 2-1/4 x 3-3/4 piece of Basic White that was stamped with the greeting in Peaceful Pine Ink.
Two apples were inked with Golden Glow Ink and Flirty Flamingo sponged along the edges with a speckle of Flirty Flamingo Ink, too, then stamped on Basic White cardstock. Two leaves were stamped with Peaceful Pine ink. They were hand-cut and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the lower apple.
A trio of Pearlized Faceted Circles were added to the background and the top apple.

CSF923 – Heirloom Boutique

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! Sketch layouts are always my favorite to use to get me started creating. I knew exactly what dies I wanted to use on this card!

HEIRLOOM BOUTIQUE

As always, flowers remain my number one love for stamping and die-cuts! This Heirloom Boutique Die Set has some awesome flowers in it, but I love the color capability of the stamps…two for one!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Hydrangea Hue cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Peaceful Pine cardstock was embossed with the Floral Spray Embossing Folder and added to the front.
A 3 x 4 piece of Basic White cardstock was added to the top left corner.
Two medium flowers from Heirloom Boutique Dies were cut from Hydrangea Hue cardstock, the small flowers from Lemon Lolly cardstock and the centers from Daffodil Delight cardstock. They were adhered together with Monoadhesive Glue, then added to the white panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two sets of double leaves were cut from Peaceful Pine cardstock with the Dies and added under the flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Banner Sayings was stamped with Peaceful Pine Ink on 1/2 x 2 strip of Daffodil Delight cardstock and added between the flowers with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
The small and large In Color Butterflies were added to the background.

CS248 – Fragrant Layers

Our Creatively Simple theme for the month of June is “New In Colors”! I particularly LOVE all the colors this year!

FRAGRANT LAYERS

I’ve selected Barely Blush for my In Color today! I’ve always loved soft pink and pale gray together…so I paired them for today’s simple card!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Gray Granite cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Barely Blush polkadot 2026-28 Painted Patterns DSP was added on top (it’s SO pale you can hardly see the pattern online but it’s pretty in real life!)
The outline of the Fragrant Layers flowers was stamped on Basic White cardstock with Gray Granite Ink and the insides of the flowers with Barely Blush Ink, the centers with Berry Burst Ink and the leaves with Gray Granite Ink. It was cut with the Everyday Arches Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The small banner was cut from Gray Granite cardstock, then cut in half and each end tucked under the arch in the upper right side.
The long banner was cut from both Barely Blush and Gray Granite cardstocks, the greeting from Fragrant Layers stamped with Gray Granite Ink on the Barely Blush inside label, then the ends of both cut off straight and added to the bottom of the arch. TIP: Save the other pieces for another card!
Some white Essentials Baker’s Twine was tied through the right banner hole and tied in a bow.
Three small white Shimmering Dots were added to the center of the flowers.

IM439 – Relaxing Waterside

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is a pretty sunset/sunrise! I love the cattails in front of this lake!

RELAXING WATERSIDE

Of course, the awesome Scenic Coast DSP had to be used on my card! And I grabbed the cattails from Relaxing Waterside to finish it off.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Scenic Coast DSP was added to the front.
A 1 x 4 strip of Crumb Cake was torn across the top and added to the bottom of the DSP for the ground.
The cattails from Relaxing Waterside stamp set were stamped with Basic Black Hybrid Ink across the bottom left side, getting smaller on the right side.
Two of the Relaxing Waterside cattails were cut with the Dies and added over the stamped ones.
The bird was stamped with Basic Black Hybrid Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the Dies and added to the ground.
The Relaxing Waterside greeting was stamped with Basic Black Hybrid Ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and cut with the Sweet Words & Labels Die.
Some black Baker’s Twine was looped several times and adhered behind the label die, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Saturday Blog Hop – Cards for Guys

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week’s theme is “Cards for Guys”! I know I can always use new ideas for the men in my life!

MATCH DAY

I know that soccer just isn’t for guys! In fact, my grand-daughter played for several years until she got into competitive gymnastics! But for my card, I tried for a more masculine color palette with the Basic Gray background!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Granny Apple Green cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Gray cardstock was stamped with the net/grid image across the bottom using Basic Gray Ink.
A 2-3/4 x 4 piece of A Wonderful Match DSP was added across the front, just above the stamped net/grid images.
The 2-1/2 x 3 piece of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the greeting in the lower left side using Granny Apple Green Ink. It was added to the front.
The soccer ball was stamped with Basic Black Hybrid Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the die, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The grass was cut from Granny Apple Green cardstock using the die and added under the soccer ball.
The pylon was cut from Timid Tiger cardstock using the die and added in front of the soccer ball on the grass.
A trio of green Shimmering Dots were added to the background.

CSF922 – BBQ Master

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! We have a pretty color challenge this week!

BBQ MASTER

I am enjoying this cute BBQ Master Bundle! I can picture using it for tags and masculine cards!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Hydrangea Hue cardstock was added on top.
The 3 x 4 piece of Made with Love DSP was added to the bottom.
Two 1/2 x 4 strips of Daffodil Delight were added across the DSP to hide the seam and to ground the grill.
The greeting was stamped with Basic Black Hybrid Ink towards the right side above the DSP.
On Basic White cardstock, the grill was stamped with Basic Black Hybrid Ink, the bottle with Poppy Parade Ink and two mitts with Hydrangea Blue Ink. The fame was inked with Daffodil Delight, then some Poppy Parade Ink was added before stamping it. They were all cut with the Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of red Dear Dots were added to the background.

CS247 – Lily of the Valley

Our Creatively Simple theme for the month of May is called “Botanicals”!

LILY OF THE VALLEY

Another chance to use my Lily of the Valley bundle! I really am surprised on how much I like using it!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pretty Peacock was embossed with the Floral Spray EF and added to the front.
Two sets of double leaves outline were stamped with Pretty Peacock Ink on Basic White cardstock. Then the solid images stamped off with Pretty Peacock Ink inside the leaf outlines.
One lily of the valley branch was stamped with Pretty Peacock Ink on Basic White cardstock and the flower tops colored with Crisp Cantaloupe Stampin’ Blends.
All were cut with the Dies and one set of leaves cut in half, then assembled on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A 3/4 x 3-1/2 piece of Crisp Cantaloupe c/s was stamped with the greeting in Pretty Peacock Ink and the ends cut at an angle. It was adhered over the stems with Stampin’ Dimensionals at each end.
1 large and 2 small White Shimmering Dots were added to the background.

IM438 – Cutest Crew

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is butterflies!

CUTEST CREW

I looked and looked for butterflies in my current stash of stamps. These Cutest Crew butterflies were so little that I didn’t think I could make an entire background with them…then I thought about a butterfly wreath! It worked!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Cute as a Bug DSP was added on the front.
1/2 x 4 strips of Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Pool Party and Highland Heather cardstocks were added to the center area on the front.
I placed a scrap 2″ circle in the center of the 3-1/4 x 3-1/2 piece of Basic White. I used that as a guide to stamp my Cutest Crew butterflies around the circle using Basic Black Hybrid Ink, then removed the circle.
The butterflies were colored with Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Pool Party and Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends.
The greeting from Cutest Crew was stamped with Highland Heather Ink in the center.
A double length of Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the wreath with a Mini Glue Dot.
A trio of Pearlized Faceted Circles were added to the background for a little sparkle.

Saturday Blog Hop – Animal Kingdom

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week’s theme is “Animal Kingdom”! What fun!

WOOLLY FRIENDS

I’ve made this little box for a couple different classes using a couple different stamp sets! It’s a quick and easy little giftable to make up for someone special! Here’s the one I made using the Woolly Friends stamp set and punch!

Stampin’ Details:

Pool Party c/s: 4 x 5-1/4 for base.
- With 4 at top, score at ¾ and 3-1/4
- With 5-1/4 at top, score at 3 and 3-3/4
Fold and press in on all score lines.
Cut the two small side tabs from edge to cross score line. Cut a vee in the small tab. (See template)

Silly Old Bear DSP – pink check print: 2-1/4 x 2-3/4
- Adhere the DSP paper inside the box back.
FIRST: Add glue to the inside of the small tabs, then adhere to the OUTSIDE of the box top.
SECOND: Add glue to the bottom flaps and adhere on the outside over the tabs.
THIRD: Cut from the top score line to the top of the box front at a diagonal angle on each side.

DECORATE:

Garden Green c/s: 1 x 2-1/2
- Tear across the top and adhere to the front bottom.
Basic White c/s: 3 x 3
- Stamp sheep’s body, bow, and head with Basic Black Hybrid Ink. Punch.
- Stamp flowers with Basic Black Hybrid Ink. Hand-cut and separate.
- Color with Bubble Bath and Peaceful Pink Stampin’ Blends.
- Adhere all to the Garden Green “grass” with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Basic White c/s: 3/4 x 2-1/2
- Stamp greeting with Basic Black Hybrid Ink.
- Punch with Three Banner Punch.
- Adhere to the DSP on the inside with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Add candy of choice! I purchased a four pack of Reece’s Peanut Butter Cups at The Dollar Tree.

SUPPLIES:
Stamps: Woolly Friends
Inks: Basic Black Hybrid
Blends: Bubble Bath, Shaded Spruce
Cardstock: Basic White, Pool Party, Garden Green
Designer Paper: Silly Old Bear 12×12
Accessories: Woolly Friends Punch, Adhesives
